Very good tutorial. The only good one on youtube, the other one are too advanced and take for granted that the players know the game already. Great work! You should think about having a full tutorial serie. The community would LOVE this.
I used this tutorial months ago to help me make a interior, and wow, it turned out great, now U can make pretty decent interiors for my insanely budget oriented cars! I just made a car with a tiny V16 that makes less than 50hp lol

What exactly are you looking for? If you have some real world examples I'd love to help. What would the seating configuration be in automation? For example the one in this video would be a 2 front and 3 rear.
quick addon to th e top of the dash, from my experimenting put the parcel shelf ontop of the dash where you want it, when it is in the correct place enter 2D mode and there is no clipping
I can’t seem to get my fixtures into the car it just sticking on the outside of the the car like the doors, etc. Anyone know what to do or what I am doing wrong?
I was wondering why it's such a pain in the ass to do interior. Turns out. IT IS that bad. They really have to work on that in the next few releases. Cause right now, when placing the interior trim, the entire car feels like 1 solid object.
not to be that guy but theres a dash filler fixture that does the parcel shelf thing edit: for the rearview mirror i use the weird roundish side mirror piece thing and i put it into 3d and i invert the y size and rotate it and press 2d and it wont work if u dont invert the y axis and instead rotate the y axis it wont do into 2d mode

this tutorial is amazing but I have an issue. for whatever reason when I put the glass transparency meter all the way nothing changes. is there any way I can fix this?
Click the cog wheel / gear icon on the far left when you're on the fixture tab. There will be a handful of menus and sub menus that open once you click the gear icon. These menus that can be open and closed will be denoted by a drop down arrow.

My soul shattered when i realised you could change the tunnel size, i literally ended.

I have one question,at 7:13,I cannot move the dashboard down,Its in move mode,snap to angle,everything,but it won’t move down?

Click 3D Instead of using 2d, then you can use the arrows to move it inside. :p

There’s two buttons, one called 2d (causing parts to stick on the outside) and 3d which allows you to put parts within vehicle! 👍

You have to opt into the automation beta.

the chassis tunnel size doesn't change when i try to change it! is there something that i miss? or is it only applied to some chassis type ?
I started with outside details first, now I know what I did wrong.
whenever i try to shrink the chassis tunnel size it does not shrink im confused

i dont have the game but,make sure you are using the open beta version (steam>rightclick on game>properties>beta>select open beta)

Make sure your game is updated and you're in the open beta branch.
