Hello friend, I am French, and you're the only one I've found who explains things correctly, and I've learned a lot from your videos! The French translation in the game is not complete, and I don't master English well enough to understand all parts of the game. Thanks for the UA-cam translation; keep up your little tutorials because I learn a lot. +1 subscriber from France.
I just started playing this again after a year or two. Yo low key this game is amazing. It’s old school tycoon feeling and the insane car creation tool with mods just blows my mind. I’m addicted.
My best advice is to line up the engineering time of your cars and engines. This way they finish at the same time and you don't have a period of time where you have a car in production that wants old engines, or new engines that aren't ready yet. If you have multiple cars that share an engine family, it's easiest to update ALL of them at once. There are other ways to do it but they involve juggling multiple factories.
Thank you for releasing this video. last night before watching this I started on easy in Archana, made a car for the budget family market which was dirt cheap, could run on moonshine, had a fairly reliable and quiet engine with 6 seats and comfy suspension, it even had a radio! Despite the good sales and undercutting the market massively, I immediately started hemorrhaging money by the millions, I only realised 5 years later that I spent too much on R&D, I'm not sure I would've been in a good spot either way. Edit: Also mine was leaf sprung rear and solid coils in the front, very cheap, but still managed to make it comfy enough lol.
Very helpful, needs to be part of the official tutorials, answered some questions I wasn't clear about as every campaign was over-producing and tanking my company. Thanks for your effort!
This is the best video i found on the carier and i must say it really helped me becouse my first carier bancropted instantly and after this video im earning money like crazy so i just wanna say you earned new sub and thank you very much it really helped😅👍
I would like to do a more generalized tutorial video later. It would be pretty worthwhile now that the current branch has been made public so that won't change for a while. I think they actually changed the starting factory size because of the problem I mentioned in this video, people start with a medium factory and make too many cars to sell because they haven't done marketing! It's very easy to upgrade that factory to medium immediately if you want to, they give you enough money. If you want to keep it small instead, the basic advice is that you're stuck with aluminum which is more expensive, so target premium markets!
@@BiomekSensei I can't seem to get drivability up though! Additionally, when I do marketing, I'm also getting a lot of sales, so funnily enough, I'm not making enough cars to sell them all. Is there a way to see how many cars I can build per factory? Thank you for the tutorials though
I'm having a really hard time getting normalized desirability, i copied your design step by step in very detail and got 30% when clicking normal suspension present, where as your demographic instantly shot into the green, i just don't know whats different
Game updates in the couple months since I made this video have made competitors MUCH better at making cars. They also use quality in all categories are can arguably be too cheap. My biggest advice for now is to use quality, but maybe I will put out another video. You can sometimes be successful even with poor desirability if your marketing is good.
I wonder if you could help me understand some of the new game mechanics. I play Automation for a while now and even managed successful runs on 100x difficulty in the previous versions. But since 4.3 I go bankrupt in the 80s every frickin' time... It seems to be due to emissions. But I don't know what to do or if it is a bug. What happens to me is that I get a bit of money out of emissions up to 12/1975. Then suddenly in 01/1976 I lose millions a month. No matter what I do. Even if every car has the most recent technology like EFI and catalytic converters and so on. I didn't find information about how the value is calculated yet (in other words: what counts and what changes in 1976?). Do you have any idea?
Unfortunately the only way to see this is through the designer, but in fuel economy detail stats there is a timeline which shows the upcoming emissions requirements for each country. It sounds like you are getting wrecked by Gasmea/Fruinia requirements when they go to 6 or so. You have to plan ahead because they up fast.
@@LazyFoxLife7801 Yikes, that might be a new record! You need to look at each category in the engineering summary and see where the problem is. You might accidentally have turned up a quality slider with the scroll wheel or something. You should join the Automation discord too, you can share a screenshot and get more detailed advice.

Bonjour! Your english is a lot better than my french! It's really impressive the UA-cam captions go it close enough, but I'm glad it could help!
Well,I came from china, this game is good to design a car or engine, but hard to run the company well, thanks for the video, good work🎉🎉🎉
I am from Russia. The same thing. Thank you a lot!
German, same. Lol

So glad i found you! Updating engines and cars is crazy! I end up missing a factory or don't have an engine/car available.
Pt 2 PLEASE

A good premium family car will also sell well in the premium sedan market too.

It is a very good tutorial but I still went bankrupt
I wish they would add a hybrid and electric options as a source of power.
FINALLY I FOUND I GOOD VID (my issue was only marketing tho)
Thank you for guide 🙏
Artstotzkan Car Of The Year for 1968, or why they HAD to have a competition.
Could you redo this tutorial as they apparently made the Car Factory for medium difficulty small instead of medium
