Bro Thanks. I was hoping it was just a stuck blend door actuator since they are cheap and relatively easy to remove. But they are all good. This video shed the light on the true problem and the next adventure of having to change the heater core. Yuck! But thanks.
Great explanation. I wonder why there is not a small filter collection chamber with a magnet near the inlet that could be isolated with small taps either side. Then it could be removed to clean out all the gunk and simply be placed back in the system. Would save a lot of headaches.
This is an excellent explanation of what I am experiencing now with the heat not coming into the cabin. However the A/C still seems to work fine, only the heat to the passenger side does not work. Would a flush of the heater core help or do I need a new heater core?
I am working on a 07 Range Rover Sport - Only cold air on Driver's side, but have a code for the Left Blend Door temp Actuator. I pulled the actuator with the connector still connected and it doesn't move, replaced the actuator with a new factory unit and ran it before installing it and it moved when I selected the temp controller. I installed the new actuator, but the Rover still has the same problem and the same code. I wiped the codes with my Autel scanner, but it comes right back. So I am thinking I still have an issue with the actuator because the computer states such. Any ideas?
@@immortanautomotive9221 Thank you for the quick reply. I pulled the actuator and ran the flap door manually (no actuator in place) and still had cold air on the driver's side, so the next step is to try to flush the heater core! Thank you for posting your content, I've been working on setting up a channel and I know it is not easy to film and work at the same time. Have a good one!
And what happens if one heater hose is missing. I still have heat in my system for cold weather. But i took my isuzu ascender to a shop and a mecánic took the second heater core off without asking me.
@@immortanautomotive9221 I know right. So i only have one heater core hose and is the one the works to give keep me warm. But then im missing the other hose and there so expensive to get it fixed.
Did you end up figuring out the issue with the hot driver's side and cold passenger side? Currently having the same issue in my car looking for answers.
So could a fella reverse the lines so that is pushes from the bottom side and returns to the other side in attempt to blow all that junk out? maybe install a screen first to catch it all?
Reversing the flow can help when flushing, a screen would clog and cause a new problem 🤔 Best thing to do is use the correct coolant for your vehicle and flush it regularly
You sir are a scolar and a gentleman. Thank you for breaking that down for me.
No problem!
I second that & im sure 100k others do aswell thank you bossman !!
Thank you for the explanation. This video confirmed that I need to pull the dash on my car
Sorry bad news 🙁
Very helpful. I appreciate you taking the time to explain as we as to show.

That’s an interesting idea! I think it would also be helpful if people had their coolant changed on a more regular basis.
Helped me to fix only passenger side heating in passat b6. Thank you so much!
Great job explaining this. Now I can go to my my wife with the answers with confidence… thx bro!!!
Great work figuring this out! Very scientific. Thank you for your information. 💋
This is soooo informative. Thank you!!
Thanks for the video explanation.
Thanks this video was VERY HELPFUL thank you for the video I appreciate....
No problem!
Great explanation
SO SO USEFUL GREAT JOB EXPLAINING MY MAN!!
So are you saying is theres separate pipe for the left and the right? Thanks
No, it just clogs one side first usually

Flush could help, every situation is unique, some are too far gone for a flush.
@@immortanautomotive9221 appreciate the reply

Pull the actuator again and see if it moves, could be another bad actuator or a wiring issue?

Good informative video! Thanks!
My car is like that . Thank you
So what do you do? Replace the core?
Yes
Can we stop using the heater and let the car run ? Or does this cause engine problems if you don’t replace ? Thx
Sorry I’m not sure on that car if the heater core can cause further damage
I have a 2017 Jeep Latitude 3.2 that had heat only on the drivers side, $150 heatercore flush and shes good to go
Where did you go for the flush?
@matthewheck6251 just a local shop. Any shop should be able to backflush the heater core
Welp new problem unlocked how do you know if it’s the heater core or the blend door that’s causing the heat to only one side of the car
Gotta test the blend doors
And what happens if one heater hose is missing. I still have heat in my system for cold weather. But i took my isuzu ascender to a shop and a mecánic took the second heater core off without asking me.
That’s not good 🫣

I thought it was my actuator not working I’d like to believe after 140k miles I just need a heater core flush. Both easy to do
It could be an actuator, this was from a car that didn’t have actuators
So what if it's the opposite? Trying to run a/c. Driver side is hot, passenger side is cold
Not sure, could be a blend door issue? This video was just about one specific kind of failure, there are lots of other possibilities
Did you end up figuring out the issue with the hot driver's side and cold passenger side? Currently having the same issue in my car looking for answers.
No. Now it just decides to work when it wants to. Thankfully that will be a spring problem now

That's what's happening to mine
Will this make car overheat
Probably not, but I’m not sure
No a clogged heatercore will not cause the vehicle to overheat
