I've been getting p2293 pressure regulator performance? I've picked up a new sensor hoping this fixes it, thanks for the vid, I was struggling to locate the sensor, this really helped!
@@vinchenzoalmodovar8601 in a strange update of events, I changed the pressure sensor, fuel pump and coil packs, which seemed to do nothing, but yesterday I replaced the fuel filler cap as I'd read before that can also throw up issues, and so far car seems to be running a lot better and so far the code hasn't come back! 💪
I removed this sensor for testing but I can't fit it back in, it seems to have lost the thread but it's impossible. I'll check with the engine cold to see if it could have something to do with expansion.
Could a bad fuel pressure sensor cause no start? My audi has a crank no start. Replaced high pressure fuel pump and injectors. Tested low pressure fuel pump and its good. Car will run on starting fluid
Im having a similar problem myself, I replaced the low pressure pump a few months ago and the relays which seemed to somewhat fix it however now it seems to decide when it wants to start and when it doesn't. Weirdest thing is it does start but the dies a few seconds later and the struggles to maintain idle. I just got the sensor and I'm going to be replacing it soon, if you have any new info let me know and I can share with you what I've found too.
@@Mre16762did you guys figure it out? Having the same issue on my 08’ A3. Code is P0089, car cranks but doesn’t start. Got a new fuel pump control module cable and the fuel pump works now but still no start. Gonna replace LPFP, fuel filter, and possibly fuel rail sensor if the filter and pump doesn’t do anything
Could be the pressure sensor could be the sensor on the high pressure fuel pump or it could be the high pressure fuel pump itself. Being the timing chain was replaced meaning the hpfp was removed I’d look into that for sure.
@izzetaraboga_272 , that code is "fuel rail or system pressure too high". Could be caused by, • Faulty fuel injector system equipment, which could be a bad fuel pressure sensor, fuel injector, or pressure fuel pump • Blocked fuel filters • Damaged or kinked fuel lines • Defective fuel pressure regulation
That's a code for the low pressure side. It might be caused by, Low fuel level Faulty Low Pressure Fuel System Sensor Low Pressure Fuel System Sensor harness is open or shorted Low Pressure Fuel System Sensor circuit poor electrical connection
If the sensor is faulty yes but it could also be related to the high pressure fuel pump having issues be it a faulty pump or a worn through cam follower. Could also be the intank pump as well. It’s something that needs proper diagnosis or you’re just throwing parts at it.
I suppose that it's possible, but there are other things that I would look into for that first. 1. Your fuel filter. If it's plugged, it can raise the pumps duty cycle because it has to work harder to push fuel through. 2. Your fuel pump controller. (Mine was located under the rear passenger seat, under a cover with 3 screws.) When the controller starts to go bad, it raises your pumps duty cycle. 3. The pump itself. When the pump starts to go bad, the duty cycle increases to try and make up for the weak pump. For me, my duty cycle dropped significantly with a new controller. I replaced with a used one to to see if it would help first, then upgraded to an rs4 controller.
@@2brokeurowners672 Yeah, I've done the fuel filter and HPFP already. The previous owner had changed the fuel pump itself but I have to look up for that fuel pump controller possibility, didnt think of that. Thanks. Quite strange that the only code I get is the P310B, and it only comes when coldstarting, guess it relates to that high fuel pump duty cycle % (i hope).
@Soijakastike , the only easy way that I know, is if you drive your car for a little bit, and then touch your controller, if the surface of it is hot, then it's probably bad. My old one would get extremely hot after a short drive.

Hello, i get a P310B00 code on my audi a3 8V, do you think this could help? i get a check engine light but no issues while running.
do you recommend replacing the high pressure fuel sensor at the same time as the low pressure sensor?
@bryantartus , for that instance, we would say, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it".
If it's not giving you issues, don't worry about it.

That should be the correct code, if it’s fuel pressure. Replace those sensors. For my tt there’s two.
