- hey guys thanks for watching this video, so i wanna say i hope you find this video helpful to fix your car problem otherwise very sorry if don't.
sorry for the low audio guys!!!
So my car was acting weird like after driving it for about 35 mins, engine started to loose power and hesitate, so i scanned ans got the code p2293, first i though was the high pressure pump so i got a brand new one and the problem went away for few months but the code was there, also the pcv was getting bad, i look more into it and find the problem was the low fuel pressure sensor so after i replace the pcv ans sensor the car is running way batter like before so hopefully works for you ans save tons of money.. thanks for watching guys
good luck.....
don't forget to subscribe and like ... see you
From what I see you replaced the High Pressure Fuel Sensor that connects to the Fuel Rail. There is a Low Pressure Fuel Sensor that screws in to the High Pressure Fuel Pump. So it is easy to mix up the exact descriptions.
If you guys ever get this code and it's not the hpfp and cam combo.....try the sensor on the rail if that's not it. The sensor on the hpfp is going to be the culprit.
Hi 👋 thank you for the video.. I have 2007 it just gave me that problem.. had the sensor in the trunk popped it in all good so far.. thanks again.. sorry you don’t have it.. great car..
hi, i have audi a4 b7 2.0t fsi s-line. I have the following problem eror code (p2293 fuel pressure regulator 2) and two p0087 fuel rail/system pressure too low. The engine runs very poorly. what is the problem?
What kind a tool you use for take the sensor
What size socket wrench did you use to remove the low pressure sensor?
27mm deep socket
what else did you change before this bc i have the same problem check engine light is on scanned it, it has the same code and p0087 and p0171 thanks
I didn't change anything or have other codes before besides this
Thanks
What’s size socket did you used to unscrew/screw the field pressure sensor on the fuel rail
27 mm deep socket
My 07 A4 2.0t has too long of a electrical connector for a socket (28mm) or larger to fit. Deep dis sockets seam to have a ridge they stops right before it gets to the edges. The replacement is 27mm and short housing. So no problem there.
Did the code go away eventually?
how was it acting before you fixed it exactly? my mk5 jetta with the 2.0t fsi is throttle cutting when i accelerate above 4k rpm over half throttle.
did u figure out the issue
HALP
What is the black piece called
Is this engine same as golf r mk6 engine I have same problem and I’m looking for the sensor can’t find it🙈
Same everything, I believe the only difference is stronger pistons and bigger turbo not too sure
I got a p2295 code and epc light on,wanted to know did ur epc light come on at any point?
No epc light in my case
I have this code with an epc light on. Did you ever find the problem? I've replaced the hpfp and follower. no luck
Did you ever figure this out? I have the same p2295 code
@@halowars1967 Yeah. I had to replace the high pressure fuel pump. I was trying to avoid that because it's not cheap, but that's what worked for me.
What is the part number ?
Nice Video man, just ordered HP sensor and fuel filter same code po2293 and same car 06 A4 2.0T ........ will update
Any updates?
Any updates
Updates?
Bro did not update 😂
Is it in the same location for 2009 Audi A4 2.0T CABRIOLET (Convertible)
I'd like to know that also.........
I’m sure you can look it up
I have a p2293 code and the epc light comes on occasionally and then goes off but I also get loss of power like the gas doesn't work but I can hear parts spinning any help please ?
jack turner did u ever find out wat it was?
Why didn't you just take the sensor and replace it when you had the top-end apart
Heard changing the fuel filter does the trick for p089
I did that way before did this video but didn't work for me
Any help I have a audi A4 2.0 2009 and I changed everything and it drives and out of no where it turns off while driving
what did u changed?
I need to replace same thing. Can I call you
what tools did u uses ?
27mm deep socket
What did you replace to fix code P0089
Wat did u fix to clear the code ? I got crank no start
Can you make a video showing the location of the fuel pressure regulator?
Did you fix the problem I got a crank no start with a code p2293
Can someone help me find the socket that I can use I have a deep 27mm but it still doesn’t fit because there’s a stopper in the socket half way in
I have the same problem, did you figure it out?
U have to chisel the end of the sensor off then the socket will go over no problem
What socket size did you use?
27 mm deep socket
@@_Ambition124 change it myself today. Very easy. Just 27 mm long socket. No more error code p2293
@@georgetgr7625 happy to hear !
@George Tgr, Qhat brand of Deep socket you used?i have tried impact and regular 27mm deep socket but it won't work for me
Please advice I have been driving my 2011 audi a4 b8 1.8T more than 1 year without turbo boost and the code is P2293 with lots of oil consumption but the engine moving without full power from the turbo but I do hair the turbo while driving but no boost any advice and I do have check engine light on orange color and airbags on
This is such a Helpful video! Thanks for posting. I have a 08 Audi a4 2.0 Turbo, and it has exactly the same symptoms.
Ireplace:
*fuel filter
*fuel pump module
*PCV Valve
and still have problems with the CODE:
P0089 - Fuel Pressure Regulator Performance
I will go ahead and replace the fuel pressure sensor and see whats going on. I hope to fix the issue, and I will update info.
Thank you for the video Bro.
im glad can help, i did replace exactly what you did and the problem still was there, sometimes a big problem can be fixed with just a little thing so anyways let me know if you fix your car...

Just a quick question.
So the symptoms of my car are that it feels alot of vibration in the engine specially when I stop.
Once the engine is warm, I can drive a couple of miles eith no problem, but once I stop some times the car shut down! And I wait abou 20 minutes and then start the car again with no problem!
I do have a check engine light, and the code is p0089! Which is FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR PERFORMANCE 1.
Which I believe is the same sensor you change. And because I have the same symptoms, I believe is the same failure. My car is an Audi A4 08 Turbo, Engine FSI 2.0.
Will you confirm if after you change that fuel sensor, it fix your problem?
Please.
Thank you brother.
Fuel pressure regulator is a 2 sided copper valve which would be situated around the same location as the pressure sensor (AKA G247) you will see a hard fuel like going into it and will be a 13 mm wrench to loosen it... a bit more labour involved than a simple 27 mm deep socket used to extract the fuel rail pressure sensor but not too difficult
Kevin Lopez Martinez I have the same problem 06 A4 2.0t. Stalls at idle sometimes, hard start up, rough idle. I changed car follower it had a hole in it. Thinking about changing high pressure fuel pump but it’s kinda expensive so I wanna make sure that’s the problem first. I’m getting code p0089 and recently p2293.
@@ryankozlowski4380 did you fix the Problem?
The sensor you replace is supposed to be on hpfp
I HAVE THE SAME COSE P2293 AND P0243 ANY HELP?
What's does your car do,
Ive been driving for 2 years with these codes P0243, P2293, P0171, P191
Turbo not working
Low power
@@luiR8lui Low power
27mm won't fit mine, even the impact 27mm why?
What is the brand of your socket?
I got mine from auto zone
I got a 27mm also and it was a tad too small. can't find a socket to fit ANYEHERE
@Paul Eyerman size?
Same prob. Thinking of destroying the plastic housing and will need a 28mm or larger
My car is happening the same thing lol
The sensor you replaced is the high pressure fuel sensor not the low....
Exelent video
I have 3 codes in my 2007 Audi
P0089
P0172
P0300
Do you know what this codes mean?
Thank you
J Ricardo Zamora B p0089 is fuel pressure regulator performance
@@victorlebron4883 thank you
@@victorlebron4883 Hi, I have a Ford Mondeo mk4,2009 and I have this error code P0089..and I have same symtoms like poor acceleration...Do you know what I have to do ?
I already replace all filters and oil..thinking that maybe are too old ...but still same issue.
you changed the pcv valve
My car is doing the same thing Audi 2.0t , but I have code p310b and p0087
Did you figure this out
I have this same code...did you manage to find where the problem was?
No one can hear you over the motor genius
You’ve probably caused serious damage to your engine if that cam follower came out of it.
Part number please
You are too slow at what you are trying to do
You're just slow in general.
