Hello, I have EA888 engine (1.8 TSi from 2010) and my appearance for group 106 is bit different - I can see here value "Fuel Temperature (calculated)" that shows temperatures about -50°C (yes minus 50). Any idea how is this temperature calculated? I have problems with extreme rough cold starts and this seems to be in relation with my problem. Thanks
Leaking fuel injectors. IMHO, if one is bad, replace all of them at the same time. We've seen a lot of people pin down which injector is bad and replace it. Then 2 or 3 months later, another injector starts to fail and bleed out all the time.
I done this test.. My rail pressure went up to 70+ Barr I have low rail pressure code. Been using Vfizz controller to access ECU data . Would the 70+ Barr be a false reading or is this working to factory design.

So mine stays steady for 5+ minutes and never rises. Are there other steps to diagnose further? 2.0t fsi, rough idle every once in awhile. New plugs coils and cleaned valves.
Theo Lupu I have 1.8tfsi and mine does even slightly drop after a minute from 39 to 36. I don't have any error codes. My engine is a bit rough in idle and I am suspicious. Did you find the problem?

Same here. 2.0 TFSI engine, fuel rail pressure slowly drops instead of going up with the engine warmed up. Checked each spark plug for gasoline smell, none had gasoline smell. Have you fixed the issue?

If the fuel rail is increasing in pressure the injectors are holding pressure. The question you should be asking is "How does a fuel rail work" The fuel rail builds and holds pressure for ever the whole fuel system is under constant pressure no vac. So there should always be some pressure in the rail. Once the car warms up turn off the car and the fuel pressure should rise due to "heat soak" gas expands under heat once gas cools down it shrinks.
@@10Eight Fuel pump in tank holds 7bar. How much shall keep high pressure pump and if this could go back to tank, as there is ni other way to decrease pressure as internal leak of HP pump or injectors. It can go only as backpressure to the tank.. But it shall?

Tested my (suspected) Fuel Rail Pressure today the way you showed. My Passat has the 3.6 BLV engine and shows the engine light and idles pretty rough. During the test it shows a pressure of around 128 Bar. It doesn't tell me the specified pressure it should measure do I don't know for sure if it's to high - can you confirm please? After shutting the engine down the pressure drops to around 118 bar right away, then slowly rises up to around 128 again if I wait 10 minutes. Does that indicate a leak? If a fuel injector is bad, or a fuel injector gasket is blown, is there a way to tell? I noticed the lambda for both rails around 20 (and specification is -10 to +10, it says). Can you please advise? Seen 3.6fsi with broken timing chain guides and fuel pump jumped timing. your high pressure fuel system is reverting to default running mode and operating at higher usual pressure due to this. Just a suggestion but I'm sure you've had it fixed by now.
@@RossTechVCDS is there a rule of thumb for fuel rail pressure when cranking? I have a crank, no start condition. Fuel rail pressure is only 5.7 bar when cranking.

Thank you. Ended up changing all 4 Injectors on your recommendation. Fuel trims now at 0.8-1.6 LTFT instead of - 20LTFT

How long such 63bar shall last? Engine is cooling down, so it shall keep 40bar or can go lowe and how fast?

I bought a 2010 Passat CC and has a p0088 with rail pressure being at over 80bar at idle. What can I test to determine what's the problem?
fuel filter could be 1 of the causes, it has a built it regulator and that may have failed.
