- I Show you how to use a Rockler crosscut sled on a jobsite saw. A Rockler cross cut sled is a great addition to your jobsite saw but modifications need to be made to make the use more safe. I have a Dewalt 745 jobsite saw. In my case, I added a side wing to my saw cabinet. The added side wing stabilization is required to use this sled. Please make your own decision as to the safe use of this crosscut sled on your jobsite saw. Saftey first please!!!

Thank you! I just bought mine, will add tape measure, and thanks for the idea on storing the sled!
Just ordered this sled for my Dewalt Table saw. Thanks for the pointers!
I got the same saw. Thanks for the tips. I going to watch your other video on extending the top.
Great video, thank you so much for sharing!
Thank you so much! I’m so glad I found you. You were on point with everything I need. I’m definitely a fan
Great information! Thank you!
You are my kinda guy- great presentation and super informative. Obviously you have experience and even more importantly, common sense and creativity! thanks
This video just earned my subscription. I'm really looking forward to some binge watching your content. Your outstanding attention to detail is quite refreshing. Thank you kindly.
thanks for sharing your experiences! I have the same saw and therefore its interesting to see! Normally these kind of US-tools are shown on larger saws!
Outstanding
For a while I thought about building my own sled or potentially just getting a miter saw so I can increase the accuracy and consistency of my cross cuts. After seeing the rockler had a "pre-made" sled that is adjustable and comes with t slots, I realized I'd probably spend more making what I want than I would just buying theirs. I'm like you, I like to research a product a lot before I buy it. I'm glad I stumbled across this video, it answered all the questions I didn't even know I had yet.
Just brought one home, had the same issue of tipping. My table saw had an arm lower than the table top, so I built a saddle out of wood which is removable when I store my saw. I liked your storage shelf and will make one for my rockler sled. Thanks!
My girlfriend just got me this for my birthday and I have a dewalt table saw. She didn’t know and better but I really like the sled. So thank you so much for this video !
Thank-you
Thanks for showing me why a miter sled that works on large table saws might not work on a job site saw. Now, I can consider buying this sled. I would rather buy than make in the hopes that it will be less trouble and be more accurate.
Love these videos, thanks so much! Just curious on how accurate the angle cuts are with the curved gauge on the sled.
Excellent video on a sled I am looking at. As far as the concern about the stop adjusting screw maybe moving on you after dialing it in, you can wrap the threads with plumbers teflon tape to eliminate any "slop" and tighten up the fit. I learned this trick from a plumber friend when I asked him why my shower water on/off handle kept coming loose. The screw has not backed out in years.
I have to use a table saw like this for my small shop for now so I'm interested.
You should get a kickback from Rockler because I can see that many of us are buying this sled after listening to you.
I have a DWE7491 and also have the same sled you have. I too added a custom support for the left side, although not as elegant as yours. I really like the sled but wondered about the stop block moving. I’m gunna check that out next time I’m in the shop! Thanks for pointing this out!
