Hollyland LARK M2 Review - Will It Replace My Rode Go?
This video is my review of the Hollyland LARK M2. I compare it to my current RODE GO that I’ve have for over four years. I explain all the buttons on the LARK M2 and compare the quality of the audio recording vs The Rode. I also discuss some annoying things about using the RODE which are an offset to its fine quality.
Disclaimer: - I paid for both the LARK M2 and the RODE GO out of my own pocket. This review is just my opinion as a user of wireless mics.

Great video, thank you!
@@bentravis99 Thanks for the comment! I appreciate it!
Thank you for a very informative video. I want to make a toy chest for my grandson. Could you tell me what you used to secure plywood to trim pieces? Was it just glue or did you do a combination or glue and a fastener? Thanks in advance for your response.
@@badmoonrising6429 I used screws. Thanks!
The Rode has a warmer sound. The Lark sounds very flat. I would stick with the Rode or play with the gain on the Lark? Cheers.
@@pgprentice Thanks! I appreciate your opinion!!!
looks like you made a great upgrade. I am impressed by all that the Holland Lark M2's can do. Looking forward to more incredible Rmarvids videos with your new setup
@@danielmartin2736 Thanks! They make a good product!
This is amazing. I love my neighbors so having 85 db blasting from a dust collection system while I use a 94 db planer was not a good mix. Just using the planer alone is so nice. Thanks!
@@charleschi843 Great! I’m glad it was helpful. Thanks for letting me know!
Just pulled the trigger on my planer yesterday, and included everything you gave here. Your Powertec bag link is stale however, for anyone else following along. Will let you know how it goes!
@@coltbecker Thanks! I’ll update my link.
great video!! thank you, right to the point and covered EVERYTHIng. Just ordered one
@@coreyk2998 Thank you for the nice comment. Does the discount code still work?
Great idea Im going to use it...Just a question...Is there any reason why you didnt take the t track to the cut line of the saw and have the stop able to be used for small cuts?
Great question. On this version the stop block was limited in how close it could get to the blade. I later re-designed the block and as a result could extend the t-track to make shorter cuts. Thanks for asking!
Today (Oct. 1, 2024) I tried your discount code at the Grayl store on Amazon. That didn't work, so I went to Grayl's own website and that did accept the discount code, and they have free shipping same as Amazon. Thanks!
Remember treated lumber is toxic. Use a respirator or very good mask when cutting it.
@@R_Arizona Good point. However, I didn’t use treated lumber. Thanks for the comment.

Perfect solution for me too thanks to your video 🙏

@@AfpacShakur That’s great. Enjoy the GRAYL and thanks for letting me know!
At last some sled maths (or math to you USA folk) that I can get my head around. I'm guessing your blade angle adjustment was to around 44.9 degrees? Which means the stock must always sit to the right of the blade? Thanks very much for taking the time to post this.
@@davidbuchan2224 Maths vs Math. Love it! I usually stay to the right side. I hope it works for you! Thanks for the comment!
I must confess that I never read the manual so I had been using my shop vac. You're right, it made a huge mess. I had no idea there was a dust collection bag for this. I just looked on Amazon and Powertec has improved their bag with window down the side and the zipper to empty it through the wide end. And it's still only $28.99. The only drawback is that it is a 30 micron filter. The 1 micron bag they have doesn't fit the 4" port. I really appreciate your video.
Glad the video was helpful!
Wow! This is great! Going to use this idea!
@@zumbamuse Great. I think you will be happy!
Thanks
@@dastonegumiremhete you’re welcome. Did it solve your issue?
Thank you, I did the same thing with the ShopVac. Which brought me here 🙂 Awesome explaination, really appreciate it.

@@johnr5545 Thank You!
Super simple. Mounting to the back of the fence is a great idea
@@BenKempa Thanks! It has served me well.
Hey just curious. Why is the 2.5 to 4” converter necessary. Why not just run the 2.5” hose into the bag?
@@levichase The opening of the bag I have fits a 4” opening better than a 2.5” opening. I’m not sure I could get the bag to fit snugly enough around a 2.5” opening.

Brilliant! Does the output from the planer try to inflate the bag to any degree? It was hard to see from the filming angle.

Thanks to Bidenomics, we can now accomplish this project for just under 200$ 😁
@@RageCityBiscuit I know. Lumber prices never came back down!

I'm always looking for easier ways to make the kitchen more accessible and not bust my head on an upper counter top. Very clear instructions on installing these shelves.
Thanks Dan!
I’ve done this be for and it makes a huge difference in accessing those stared items!
Thanks Dale!
This should be helpful for many people who have kitchens without this feature. Thanks!
I appreciate the comment!
I too have had my ladder in a bunch of different places over the years. I raised and lowered it on an elaborate pulley system in the last house. I would have reinstalled it but this ceiling is finished and I had no place for the counter weights. This is the first project in 40 years I haven't had to make a run to he hardware store for anything!!! One recommendation I would make is to mount the first vertical before assembling the threaded rod, etc. It was much easier.
Great suggestion and thanks for the comment!
Great use of the space. When we remodeled our kitchen, we used a space for two kitchen trash cans on roll out sliders. A can for recycling and one for trash. It worked really well and hid the collection from sight.
@@LindaHolmes-s3e Thank you Linda!
That is a very clever idea.
@@FernRoses Thank you!
How do I keep spiders and stuff from coming in if I have it off the floor? I kind want to have a nice space where the kids can hand out
@@pureelegance3 You can certainly the trim right on the floor but if you park a wet car in the garage, the water may rot the board over time. The other option is to run a bead of caulk along the bottom. That would probably be what I would do. Good luck!
Total genius!
@@MsSme123 Thanks! It’s a great little setup!
This is great! Ordered the parts mentioned below from amazon except for the dust bag with window (part 70398). Picked up coupler from Rockler and was in business earlier today. I do a lot of resin boards so to only have a small pile of resin to vacuum up was awesome!

Very simple idea would be just hanging the ladder on the side wall at knee height. No need for a ladder to hang it.

Very good demo … But how did you fastened the canvas to the frame ?
@@edbianchi8839 Good question and something I should have shown. I drill a hole through the back of the floating frame and screw into the picture frame. Be sure to countersink the hole so the screw doesn’t scrape the wall. I hope this helps.
