- How to upgrade a jobsite saw stand by adding an outfeed table and side wing. A jobsite saw can be made more efficient and safer if you upgrade outfeed and side stabiity tables. I upgraded my rolling jobsite stand a few years ago and it was time for an improvement. The upgrades were not difficult and the improvement is well worth the effort.
probably adapt what I show you to work. In addition I will show you how to use a homemade jig for your router that really comes in handy.
Below is the Amazon link for the folding hinges.

Thanks for your video, I'm currently building my own table saw cart, appreciation your explanation on every step & your reason for doing it this way, save me from running into those mistakes in the future.
Thanks! Good luck with your project!
This is one on my most satisfying projects. I’m really pleased with the outcome. What do you think? Anything you would do differently?
Great vid! I'm buying my first table saw soon and now I know what to do once I get it!
Thanks. I’m very happy that I upgraded my cart. I have an earlier video out there about the construction of the cart itself. It might be helpful as you design your cart. Just ignore the parts about my old out-feed table.
Good modification, Much sturdier and safer.
Thank you. I agree!!
Nice upgrade! I’ll be using this idea for sure!
Thanks!
Nice work!
Thanks! I’m really happy with the way it turned out!
Nice upgrades. I have a Bosch table saw, but all these can work with that too. Thanks
Should work. I bought the 120 and 20” hinges from Amazon. Took a little shimming but they work fine. Thanks for the comment!

Thanks for subbing! I appreciate it!
Nice and useful. What about an infeed table? how would you proceed? Thanks
Here are two videos I did on infeed. ua-cam.com/video/pKBi48f7PfQ/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/8q0v23lGY0s/v-deo.html. Good luck!
Great video!! Love the new cart!
For the extension on the side of your saw, how did you deal with the lever that releases the riving knife? Did you cut out a relief for that?
On my saw you remove the riving knife from behind the saw blade under the throat plate. I’ll look at your model to see what’s different.

Interesting! On mine there is a lever on the right side just under the table top.
@@stevesiefken6432 I looked at the manual and didn’t see an adjustment from behind but I’m traveling and it’s hard to see on my phone. I rarely adjust my riving knife. Maybe once since I’ve owned the saw. At any rate. You could always just remove the saw from the stand and make an adjustment. I take my saw out of the stand once a year or so to clean and lubricate all the moving parts.
One of my first wood shop jobs as a young child was table saw wood catcher. Might be considered child endangerment today. Love the out feed table. I use a roller stand with very poor results. I have a difficult time cutting or routing melamine without chipping the edges. Any tips for that? I really like the hinges you used. Can you provide additional information on those in the notes? Thanks!
Many of us had jobs like that when we were younger and thought we were lucky to have a job at all! Great Idea to add the Amazon links for the fold down hinges to the description. I did that! No advice on the melamine board cutting. I had a few chips when I cut them. The trick to put masking tape on the board before cutting would probably work. I'll have to give that a try. Thanks for the comment and questions, Pete!
You may have already answered this but where did you get those hinges for the side wing?
a.co/d/hWDjbC3. These should be the ones.
Nice large orange wheels. Where did you get them? Do you have the make and part number?
Got them from Amazon. Here’s the link. a.co/d/5eGtQJR
I have the same router. How thick is the base you have on it? 1/4”?
If you mean the French clear that I use to clamp to the bench, it’s 3/4”. If you mean the Rockler mini router table, I think it’s 3/4” as well.
