I noticed a huge difference when I started wearing clothes that worked for my body and doing my makeup every day. And it doesn’t even have to be full glam-my makeup routine is pretty simple but a little goes a long way.

Finding the right colours was a game changer to me. I used to wear black with bold red, plus grey, vibrant violets and some other colours - and although I loved those combos, 1. I usually hated what my skin looked like - what made me put bolder make up and dye my hair darker/bolder colours - and it was always a failure 2. I never felt put together. After I realised I most likely fall under Soft Summer season, I discovered colours such as mauve, blush pink, lavender, plum, damson, teal, picked the right shades of grey, switched from bright red to burgundy or dark cherry red - and I look and feel way better. I do cheat a bit with other seasons pallets, but I avoid colours that make my skin look unhealthy. And I totally agree - if the piece of clothing is not exactly what I am after, I will not buy it - a total waste of money and wardrobe space to me.

There is one area at the end where I think has some weakness in terms of recommendations.
This is with style choices.
Some like myself, do not look or feel good in the classic timeless styles . I am in the natural Kibbe zone and spent way too many years doing a variation of your suggestion. I NEVER EVER EVER had a positive comment.... and I seriously put in the time and effort.
I can rock quality casual or more playful things, which have been hard fo find.
I now am seeing the bigger picture of me and seeing how less structure too.
I am mid spring too, and fought to find anything, bar classic colours.
I do wish all younger women were able to get your training and take it to heart in terms of colour and individual beauty. Too much energy and money wasted on trends and covering up flaws.

Ok so I really enjoy learning all this but find a lot of gaps.
For example: I’m naturally a dark ash brown hair color but have hd platinum ash blonde hair for nearly 7 years now.
I am fairl skinned with a lot of pink undertones but am actually neutral- I look good in both warm and cool colors.
And the biggest game changer for me was learning makeup…. Makeup can make almost any color work for you if you learn how to blend colors and balance them to fix what might be “off”.
In my opinion learning how to adjust with makeup is way more affordable than throwing out all the tops that are not in your ideal color pallete.
Learning makeup takes time but it’s worth it.
Swcond game changer was learning the most flattering cuts for my shape. The right cuts for your shape can take 10 pounds off. The right colors (or makeup to make the adjustments) can take 10 years off.
We can use a men's version of this and by the way you are one of the few women these days that actually looks stunning, even celebs look either too austere or cheap. Taylor Swift was one of the few exceptions but you certainly have done it and I am glad

Wear dresses all year, they always look good and throw on a coat in fall.

I took a quiz after this to try and sort out my colors - i know im cool but not sure if its cool winter or cool summer. According to your homework pdf its cool summer. Will definitely try and take a friend along shopping sometime to see which is more flattering on my skin tone. 😃

I do everything you say. Kibbe, fashion etc. My only problem is my hair. It's curly. I tend to own it. That's how I was born. However I keep asking myself on a regular basis if I should straighten it....

I dress up and I can see people jaw dropping while they drive. Men and women lol.
Soft, polished makeup rather than over the top dark liners and bright lipsticks (they have their place though) everyday.
Men always open my door anyway, but I get smiles, opened doors, and numbers offered haha. I'm married, so I don't accept obviously, but it's okay to encourage them to be so bold and find themselves a single lady hahaha

Referring to cheap jewelry that tarnishes and turns your skin green or looks greenish. Emeralds will always be refined and beautiful.
I dont want pretty privilege, I want cost effectiveness. I always think I had "privilege" because I love ppl (I am sanguine) and love I give makes me have that privilege when I have a space in their heart. I want a space in anyone's heart, DC about being commonplace or what. Just all of that you could give.

This is a serious question. For some reason people think this isn’t an actual struggle. However, it truly is. I am a very thin yet curvy woman. If I had to pick a celebrity closest to me, I would say a thinner, bigger chested Sofia Vargara. No matter what I wear. It winds up looking sexy. If I try to overcompensate for this, I just wind up wearing clothes that are oversized and baggy, and then I look like I put no effort into myself. Do you have any tips on how to look put together yet not sexy for this body type?
it's okay to look sexy but elegant! Try full-length, long sleeve body con dresses (search on Pinterest for inspo) things that are modest in nature but outline your beautiful figure! Also try wearing bralettes instead of bras as they can make the chest look even bigger which can throw off proportions. Hope that helped lovely

I am an almost 36 year old with disabilities and on disability. How can I level up my looks? prefer to keep my hair long
I always curl my hair and try to look like a princess everyday lol depends on your personal style ❤
Get the best sleep you can...have a sleep schedule; trim your split ends yourself regularly; eat healthy foods that are less expensive by choosing root vegetables and lots of frozen veggies; drink water and green tea over anything sugary; make hemp or oat milk for coffee or cereal (no added sugar which is inflammatory and overall much cheaper. You will need a blender for this); use a sugar scrub for facial exfoliation; vacuum frequently and air out your house or apartment to keep the air circulated and vacuum to reduce any allergens; go for lots of walks if possible in nearby parks; look up exercise routines you can do from home; meditate; play online games that help you stay mentally sharp and help reduce stress (chess, online scrabble etc.) I think a high vitamin C diet with an emphasis on veggies, lots of sleep, water, stress reduction (meditation, naps as needed, cutting out critical people) etc. can make more of a positive impact than fancy creams. A lot of the best things to help our appearance are low cost or free, but help us when done regularly. What they cost is commitment and incorporating them as a routine, not so much a lot of money.
Good luck! Check out frugal beauty hacks online too. People have all sort of spa like ideas with things you might already have in your home (like using cold spoons kept in the freezer for puffy eyes or putting warm tea bags on your eyes to reduce dark circles; using a dry bristle brush for dry skin brushing and lymphatic massage; meditation for calming the mind and reducing anxiety etc.) There are more but my order of importance is: sleep/ diet (and hydration) / exercise (physical but also mental - such as games that challenge your brain) + social/ calming (meditation/interacting with people who lift you up.)
I also don't have a lot of money.
You can go to the thrift shop for buying clothes. Just apply the rules as stated above.
Use a gelatin hairmask for proteintreatment hair for example (look into the pro's and cons on UA-cam).
Make-up isn't that expensive, experiment with cheaper brands.

Same! I also get compliments from other women on my naturally curly hair and clear skin all the time. I don't use any makeup or hair products or perfume thanks to chemical sensitivity. All you really need is good grooming. :)

I'm big on skin care routine and exercise, drinking a whole bunch of water and raw fruit and veggies. I'm sure you are too. I find make up to be depressing. And I'm not sure why. I'm not against it. And I think women be looking so pretty with make up when it's done right. Just for me it's like this agonizing thing. I'm very feminine too and girly. Thanks for responding! I like you:)
