  • Hello peachies 🍑 The Golden Ratio is a theory which is used extensively to underlie our perception of attractiveness, or in other words to explain what makes someone beautiful.
The Italian Renaissance polymath, Leonardo Da Vinci, used the Golden Ratio equation and realised that the closer a face or object gets to this number, the higher the level of its perceived beauty. In fact, Leonardo is thought to have used the golden ratio when painting the Mona Lisa!
Studies of the most beautiful women in the world have shown that they have countless instances of this ratio in their faces. This proves symmetry to be a key factor in perceived attractiveness, especially in female faces. It is surprising to know that human tend to perceive a face more aesthetically appealing, when it features the Golden Ratio, because the human eye can process it faster, and that causes our brain to feel ‘pleased’!
In our video today, we’re taking a thorough look at the Golden Ratio, and how we can apply this theory to level up our makeup game to enhance our visuals better!
Hope u guys will love this video!♥☺ pls enjoy peachies!

As a person who enjoys sketching or drawing (I'm not a professional), the face of Red Velvet's Irene is the hardest to draw for me because her facial features are almost well-balanced.
Because in order to capture the essence of a person's face, you have to exagerrate that person's facial feature which is always noticed by people like a mole on the cheek or large eyes or a pointy nose or bushy brows or full lips.
In Irene's case, it's hard to draw her because once a feature of her is drawn smaller or larger, thicker or thinner, her face will not look like her anymore.
    * The edit is for the grammar.

Americans like to worship what they truly dont define as beautiful. In a subconscious way, they do it to demean those they truly find beautiful by elevating a slightly above average person. Irene does not have that god tier beauty you speak of and we all know it.

The problem with the standard is that it’s highly unrealistic. People who have a small features with v shaped face usually have smaller bone space for eyes so their eyes are usually small along with their lips and nose. It’s like their mixing pretty features of each race on a single face and that caused them to not be able to reach the standard unless they go under surgery like 90 percent of the kpop idols.

This video was super helpful! ❤ I always preferred the left side of my face but never really knew why. I tested the golden ratio grid on my face and it turns out that my left side is pretty well balanced actually whereas the right side of my face doesn't fit as well. Over the years, my eyes and eyebrows were complimented a lot which confused me but now I found out that this region of my face is quite symmetrical and honestly, it's such a confidence boost and really helps with makeup going forward 🥰

Thanks to this video that it s about education and references. Of course everything should depend on your own eye shape and personal preference. Though I like the tips from Lili in her dou ying video about giving a bit of highlight on top of the middle part of the upper lid, but when I tried to give highlight on the upper eyelid area just like she did it doesn't look natural and overwhelming. Coz my upper eyelid is flatter than hers. So again practice makes perfect.

For long lower third I find that it helps to find the midway in between my cheekbone and jawline and put contour right below that point horizontally so it visually shortens my face. Same with blush, it looks better a bit low on my cheek (above the contour)

Great video! Question though, the "perfect" facial balance is only approximately 1.6 = Length ÷ Width, but also anything over or under is considered short or long. I'd love to know what the range was on the "perfect" balance. Is it 1.5 to 1.7? I don't have a very good grasp on what the range was and don't want to consider myself one face shape or the other if it turns out the margin for error was 0.5 or even 0.005. Thank you!

I have the shorter lower third ratio (even though there’s a minimum difference in the 3 it’s still the shortest by a few millimetres so should I count it with that? Or is everything counted as equal?), although it seems like I don’t have wide set eyes from this? But without the lines it does look like it? My face does have the 5 eyes horizontally fitted except in the middle that’s like 1 and a half eye. So yes or no wide set?
I have a short philtrum that is half of my chin.

When you talk of measurement is it in inches or in centimeters?
Btw I love your videos they help me a lot to better understand my body to better showcase it.

So, I need to add a stronger arch, have more concealing hair styles, don't highlight forehead, to keep upper ratio ideal.
I personally like the more classy/mature look, so I'll keep the middle ratio decently lengthy. I'll keep the brows positioned higher (it'll make me look more approachable, and just generally better with my glasses) more focus on upper lids than lower lids. I'll apply the highlighter in a straight line (different from my typical button-nose technique) and place blush in a "C" shape (as usual, I use doujin blush techniques). I'll highlight the bottom of my philtrum so the upper lips are more prominent.
I'm not too fond of my lower third (it makes my face look round, but it's too short imo)
I'll contour the areas next to the chin so it stands out more, then highlight chin point. I'll use the gradient lip technique, so it reduces my lips volume (?) (odd, but I'll try it out) ill refrain from lengthening it in total, and only lengthen the lower area- but I'd overall like to lengthen it.
I find the philtrum techniques odd, so I'm just gonna avoid them, lol.
I also have wide set eyes.
    -bring eyebrows closer together
-contour to slim down near brow bone, and soften it.
-cover whole lid with neutral eyeshadow, darken outer corner, then add medium shade to inner corner.
-line inner corner, small outer corner wing.
-side parts will prevent too much focus (males sense, middle parts look really fish like on me)
I have low set brows- I'm tired of taking notes, so I'll just leave a timestamp 20:00

peachie howw do i keep my hair from my face!! Like i had noticed how having hair on my face diminshed how pretty it looked. But now i know it's because of my wide set eyes. Thing is that idk how to do it. Because in most cases i have been blessed and naturally counteract my golden ratio imbalance. But in this case i haven't. Because maybe if i were to have a bigger forehead hair on my face would look pretty but, i don't. So idk i'll look for hairstyle videos in your channel, but if you have a quick answer lmk!
