      i promise you no medical professional cared or was "laughing at you." it was all in your head/fueled by your own insecurities, judgment, self-hate, etc. regarding how brown women's pubes look naturally. it's not like you were dirty or unhygienic, you just had a full bush, as most women did, for thousands and thousands of years.

      I don't think people are pressed, it's just a little silly tbh. None of the professionals cared, they don't get paid to care about your bush. What is never glamorous or feminine is thinking the world is thinking that much about you.

      @@holliesaraswat6241my thoughts exactly, no one is thinking about those things during a medical emergency. As someone who works in the operating room daily, shaved legs, waxed anything are not a concern. We see every possible thing you can imagine. EVERYTHING. People from all walks of life, those who cannot care for themselves, people who dont care about shaving anything. No one is worried about that for surgery. When they “prep you for appendectomy, they’re not giving you a Brazilian. They’ll shave your abdomen if needed. I can’t speak for your experience. But this is generally the case.

    My fiancé just bought me all Tiffany jewelry because I got tired of switching jewelry everyday so I just wear everything everyday and scrub them in the shower and remove them once a month to have them polished at the store. I ditched trends and my uniform is just a dress and heels and flower in my hair. My life is easier. I got rid of fake nails and just do natural nails with gel paint. As the health care professional in the situation, I really try NOT to think about my patients pubes. I can’t imagine thinking about them long enough to have an opinion on them.
    I’ve learned a lot from this woman, and I get the sentiment of taking care of yourself to make yourself feel better. But this seems a little extreme. I cannot imagine having a medical emergency and being anxious and worried over whether or not my nails are done. It sounds like such a stressful and EXHAUSTING way to live.

    This whole mindset is south sis. We take care of ourselves to pamper and treat ourselves not out of body shame! Enjoy your routine to get in a better mood and to feel better about yourself for doing your body good. All humans knows the body nature it would be absolutely ridiculous to give that much thought to such subtle things. Hygiene and good spirit are enough for anyone to look up at others. I personally like to think that im releasing all the bad energy from my mind and body when doing the full special body care, when i get my period or when i take long relaxing showers and it works like a charm in taking me to that happy peaceful state

    Thank you so much for this video. I am 32, and got the handsomest polished looking man, and it always makes me feel underpolished, because...I am. And it doesn't feel good to be the woman in the relationship yet be the most underpolished one. I miss some of the most important details. When I was in my teens and early 20s, I was always looking polished. But then, a personal crisis happened, leading me to abandon my life and all my belongings and live like a hermit pretty much, and for years, I forgot how to even shop nice things for myself. Now that I am back to a normal life, I want to return to look modestly polished. And this video really reminded me of all the details I have forgotten about. When life happens, death, loss, grief, huge changes, it can really downprioritize this important aspect in our lives. And if left downprioritized, it is often forgotten with time, and we end up not minding that we look like homeless people. Well I am DONE being okay looking like a homeless person, especially when I am a beautiful middle eastern woman, who could use a bit of polishing!

    I can understand about “being ready” in general; but using an emergency appendectomy example to convince the viewers that your behavior is warranted is ridiculous! When I had mine removed, this was thee last thing on my mind before it’s removal. I feel you are a lot younger than me, which isn’t a dig on you as far as maturity is concerned, just realizing that an organ being surgically removed out of your body and being worried about what your forest looks like and whatever else you were esthetically concerned with seems nil at best.

      Yes, I cringed at that story because I was expecting some super embarrassing thing and then it was like, OMG I didn't shave my bush?? That was just 🥴🙄 There are so many channels like these out there, and it's usually very young women obsessed with being and looking perfect. That's what young women care about because of biology and feeling that they need to compete for a "high value" man to mate with. They will learn soon enough that it was all a waste of time and getting a man is not hard 😂 what's hard is getting rid of them, which is what you want to do when you wisen up and realize they are all mostly selfish and annoying 😂

      I had a similar thought on that as well.😅 I totally understand her point, and whatever we find personally embarrassing is different for all of us. 🤷‍♀️ For me, part of how I felt l'd leveled up in confidence is when I stopped caring and recognized that everyone has moments like that. And especially in the medical field, they don't care, it's another work day for them, and your dark lush forest is one of the best things they've seen by comparison, trust me. 😂😅

    I understand that women want to look good all the time. and thank you for some tips. But, I also believe women should heal their internal fear of ending up being alone, because of not being perfect. As when this is healed, you can still do all this outside self care/maintanance but from completely different energy. We were made to believe, that without it all, we look and are trash and worthless. Every woman needs to heal this. And every single one of us, would need to once in a while go out there, into wild nature, rainforest, countryside, to be wild, imperfect, unshaved, without make up, without it all, having shamanic ceremony (you won't care about any of it :D) having ecstatic dance, ....and feel our wilderness, freedom, and true essence, as that is what we are. Wild and powerful, with or without make up..... :)

    If you do use colored eyeshadow, make sure it's colors that make your natural eyecolor pop.
    For me, I have blue-green eyes, so I like to wear pink and purple eyeshadows because they compliment my eyes and provide a decent contrast.
    For brown eyes, try a green or a gold. Maybe a red-ish orange, depending on your skin undertones.
    Colored eyeshadow can be lovely and classy as long as you make sure that it looks appropriate with what you're wearing and it compliments your eyes.

I use a lot of dollar tree makeup too and skincare because I used to blow money on expensive stuff from Sephora and realized that it wasn’t any better and what really matters is technique. Most makeup nowadays is modern formulation. I do however get my favorite foundation from the drugstore that I know won’t slide off my face and will look good.

      @anastasiya8314 i don't have kids yet. I am studying at university while working, and just for one semester is about $ 5000, so I feel you. Right now, I am investing in my future. I can't go out and spend all that money on beauty. I started doing my own haircuts, color, hair treatments, and skin cleanser and oils at home.and guess what? I have never been healthier.

    Ahhh I am old one time we just put up with the bush and say well that is biology, men never shaved their hair and women kind of just shaved their legs, in Europe I heard they never even bothered to do that much less anything else. Pornography is the only reason why anyone started to get this idea of shaving down there, no one thought of it because well we were still recovering from Victorian prudery about such.

    If it makes you feel any better, I’m an OR nurse and I can assure you in all ORs I’ve worked no one pays attention to body hair. We’ve seen so many naked people it doesn’t even phase us. The only time body hair is considered is if we need to prep that area with an alcohol solution called Choraprep. If it is applied over hair, it’s a major fire risk, so we shave it. For a lap appendectomy, you should have had only your abdomen prepped.
    Being an OR nurse has made me appreciate how everyone is so unique and beautiful in their own ways.

    I know a very wealthy lady who works in the food industry. She cannot wear nail polish, lash extensions or makeup to work as it goes against hygienic protocols and she was setting an example for other workers to remain clean. Yet she always look classy and elegant wearing modest well-made clothing and by the way she carries herself. Ladies, you do not need all the maintenance to look presentable. It is fine to stick to the basics. (great if you want to treat yourself)

    personally i don't find the brushed up eyebrows, long nails, messy bun, and clumpy fake eyelashes look "polished". it makes people look cheap and when i see long nails i automatically think you've got gunk underneath them so i think they're unhygienic looking. polished to me is light makeup to accentuate natural beauty, short manicured nails, healthy and neatly done hair, classic outfit (jeans and a t shirt or sweater), and wearing a signature perfume. but i prefer the more effortlessly beautiful, model off-duty kind of vibe on women.

    • @Ravenortara
      @Ravenortara 8 місяців тому +6

      If you don’t have anything nice to say… you shouldn’t say it… this was definitely a back handed comment… this woman is obviously self conscious and putting immense effort into herself and you decided to pick at all of her efforts … whether you agree or disagree isn’t the point .. it’s how you said it

    • @rocket4444
      @rocket4444 8 місяців тому +7

      @@Ravenortara she clearly is self-conscious. it's one thing to give women advice on how they can upgrade themselves (for example building a good wardrobe, doing workout classes) but it's another to project your own personal beauty standards onto other women which is what she's doing. many women that aren't well-traveled don't realize that beauty standards are very region-dependent. where i'm from (NYC) the women don't wear heavy makeup yet they all look very pretty, polished, and feminine. women here focus more on fashion. fake lashes, spray tan, and wearing too many cheap accessories might be cute in alabama, but it's not considered attractive here.

    • @jclyntoledo
      @jclyntoledo 8 місяців тому +2

      @@rocket4444Um I lived in NYC and ppl definitely wear makeup. Also no one is saying you need a full face of makeup everyday. If you just want to put moisturizer and spf then go ahead. Also jeans and a t-shirt isn't classic it's pretty basic and boy/girl next door which is fine but that's not what this video is about.

    • @IAmLeePeace
      @IAmLeePeace 2 місяці тому +1

      I agree 100%! In my 30s I didn't have to try, I always dressed down and was always natural in appearance. I found less is more and natural face or light makeup was best and always got the men turning their heads towards me. I'm in southeast of Texas and when it gets humid forget the makeup, the hair and nice clothes bc the humidity will remove it and your hair will fall regardless how much product you have on, your clothes get wet from the sweating from the parking lot to the mall, sweat ruining your makeup. 17 years later I haven't changed a thing and I look younger then the 20 and 30 yr old women bc of all the products they put on their faces from all the chemicals in the products they use, no thank you. For me, I've always kept it natural and had guys waiting in line compared to the women who were dolled up. This "High Valued Woman" nonsense isn't an appearance, a fasion, a trend and that's something women need to understand. Just bc you dress like a so called "High Valued Woman" doesn't mean that they are. How many women even know what that is? I was raised by a mother and grandmother who instilled morals and values in me such as respecting myself, others and my body. I value myself and was married once and have been divorced 17 years and chose to be single in order to raise my children with stability without the interference of many men. Instead, instilling in my children that education is important, morals, values, respect, decency, character, traits and investing in themselves and that their future is priority and saving themselves self for that special perosn and for their self well being. What's my body count? 1, yeah just one. Now my children are grown and I live my life and forget dating with all the nonsense. A "High Valued Woman" isn't playing dress up. These women won't ever understand what a HVW is, until they see someone set that example. Both men and women are in dire need of a true example of a "High Valued Man and Woman." Anyone can put a dress and lipstick on a pig but that won't make the pig a "High Valued Peacock."
