I feel like it depends on what cultural beauty standards you're trying to match on which ones looks best. Like I feel like the peanut face shape has prominent cheek bones which a lot of western countries like, whereas in Korea, this more smooth oval face is preferred. The higher contrast tones made you look more beautiful in western beauty standards and the lower contrast ones more with Eastern standards. Both nice, just different!
i just missed she testing medium contrast, i think she's more medium/low contrast, she can hold darker colors on the soft summer palette and some even darker colors
Definitely depends on the country's beauty standards. I feel like the muted spring colors suited her very well for Korean style fashion. High contrast colors like deep Winters would look amazing on her but that bold look would be more appreciated somewhere like the US
Right! I was about to comment the same thing. Personally I loved the winter colors more, but that's because I love her natural facial structure and the depth of her cheekbones. The lady kept commenting against it because Korean beauty standards don't like "masculine" facial structures like that
@@fate-may Agreed, I lean more towards the bold "masculine" feel when it comes to fashion. It might sound mean but I feel like those colors make ppl look more mature and the pastel bright colors look more youthful. But again I'm guessing that's what Koreans usually lean to.

I think the same. I like her better in some winter colour, I loved how it made her face sharp, literally she looked like she underwent buccal fat removal. Very chic and model-like.
It also depends on how you want people to perceive you. For me you look pretty cool and more sophisticated in Winter range, a bit more contrast and black.
I agree, it felt like youthfulness was the only parameter, or at least the most highly regarded one. It's good information but i personally loved the darker cool tones on her, and black.
she looks way better with the high contrast and bold colours in my opinion. Obviously Korean beauty standards don't match mine... I mean she is a young and young looking girl, why would she wants to look younger at this age?
Yeah and I also noticed how many people get typed as Light Springs in Korea for ABSOLUTELY no reason at all. They seem to have bias towards paler colours there

Clearly a winter, but I understand why she chose soft summer, it makes you look youthful and innocent. Winter Colors most likely will give a sharp and confident look.
The lady was correct! You look good in muted/ soft summer colors. You could also borrow some colors from soft autumn (the cooler ones) - the ones towards the end of the drapes for soft autumn. Soft autumn is your sister season. You could also use winter colors if you want to look dramatic or fierce. I think a bold red lip & reddish/ burgundy dress would look good on you. You remind me of another Asian model (forgot her name). I think your angular face would look good with "fierce" makeup. Btw, if you want to change hair color, I think you can go for mahogany (deep brown) or burgundy (it has purple tones), since those are both cool toned. Don't go for chestnut, honey brown or auburn since those are warm toned.

For people criticizing the analysis, it’s about how the colours interact with the skin undertone, it’s not about which “look” is better , also many Koreans have high contrast hair-skin overtone , or warm tones to the overtone , doesn’t mean they are winter or a warm season . I thought the mute summer colours looked fantastic. Also, it’s not an eastern thing to go for a more slender face , in fact the western analysts also mention that the bone structure should look more defined and less heavy (especially the jaw) with the right colours. In all I think she did a great job , very direct and confident , she knows her stuff.
Honestly, I disagree with this one. You're definitely cool-toned, that's true, but based on how severely your skin reacts to warm colors, I'd say you're fully cool (Soft Summer is neutral-cool). I can't really see the low contrast either... I'd love to see you in some Cool Summer and Cool Winter colors for comparison, you seem to have medium/medium-high contrast. In this color analysis, we mostly saw either very light and soft colors, or very dark and intense colors, not much in-between. I have noticed that most Korean color analysts like putting most people in muted, light colors for some reason...
Agree. From watching a few color analysis sessions by certain korean analysts, they frequently people as summers and springs, especially light or soft, even when it doesn't fit. Rather than value colors that harmonise, they value light and girly colors (which are also the predominant trend in korean makeup).

She seems cool. I am not Korean but I work for a Korean Doctor & he's pretty cool. I come to work looking like garbage & he never says a thing. I agree with everything she said about your colors. She did a great job. (:
In my country, having marked cheekbones is elegant and beautiful. On the contrary, round face are called ‘cake faces’ and it’s obviously considered not pretty.
I literally have the same face shape. People here in the West always tell me I don't have to use contour because my cheekbones are already so prominent. I am a cucumber. I will use these cool colors from now on. And embrace being a cucumber. Edit: I also find her sympathetic, I would love to book an appointment, too :)
I think many of the soft colors looked nice on you. In your intro, I clocked the soft blue. Lovely. But there will be colors across palettes that you can utilize to make a statement. Contrast = statement pieces. Black isn’t my best color, rather, charcoal grey, but I love black! Pry it from my cold dead hands. 😊 Textures can also change the vibe.

First of all, she couldn't look chubby if she tried. Second, this is which colors look best on you. Honey you rock black too! You're so pretty you can wear any color!
You are definitely a winter! I have followed a color analysis course and I think Korean analyses are often wrong sadly… You look amazing in the vibrant and darker shades!
you look soo good with the summer mute palette but i get why people are telling you to get a second opinion. You have a natural high contrast (your eyes and hair are dark while your skin is bright and light) so enhancing that contrast with darker colors does look great but in like a ‘makes your features stronger’ kind of way, i think simply korean beauty tries to avoid looking sharper and stronger and that’s why she said that black doesn’t look good (it truly does looks really nice lol)
I can definitely see how a lot of the things she was pointing out as negatives would be desirable in the US (“cucumber” face, high cheekbone contrast, defined jaw -in some cases). But I agree you got yellow or rosy with some of the darker colors even when they still looked good on you! ❤
Thanks for the video. This is more informative than I thought. Didn’t know that colors can affect the face structure. I’m excited to try this one day. I also just want to let you know that no matter what the analysis says you should just wear the colors that you want.
So fun to watch! You’re a good sport. This has to be a personal preference where each colorist has a different eye for what looks good. But what matters most is what YOU like. Not what others like on you. But if you do care… I liked the yellow gold on you! 🤩
To be fair, maybe the analyst didn’t explain it thoroughly, but high contrast colors not only bring out the hollowness of her cheek but also bring out the darkness of her under-eyes. It makes her face look tired and uneven. Summer makes her skin even, clear, and harmonious. I can totally see why she recommends summer and not winter. And also, I have seen a lot of light-skinned individuals be typed by Asian analysts as winter and autumn as well. An example, all Blackpink members are typed as winter (JS) or autumn (Lisa, Jennie, Rose). Maybe those typed into light seasons are really because they look better in light season and not some light-skin bias? I think many are being subjective with their preference for high contrast palette, whereas the analysts, in most cases, I have found to objectively evaluate the color’s reflection on the skin, especially if it makes the skin uneven. Things like freckles, darkness, hollowness, yellowness, paleness, redness may be cool to one’s beauty standard, but they still contribute to the unevenness of the skin. The analyst’s job is to point out which color characteristics accentuate/mitigate the effect of these conditions. The clients can then use that information to decide what color characteristics they want to incorporate and avoid based on their own beauty preferences. However, I have found not all Asian analysts are well versed in communicating this information, but unless they are super biased and have bad eyes, they commonly type their clients to the season that makes the skin the most even and natural. All those other factors (deep hollow cheeckbone or round oval) are important as well if one is looking to do a style analysis or consulting, but if we just strictly look at color analysis, the analyst has done her job well in finding the color palette that is the most harmonious with her skin. This is why I don’t recommend color analysis to people who have already established and followed a specific style as they might not find this helpful.
This is the first color analysis where I have not agreed, I think that the cool tones wash you out where the warms are cheery and lovely!!!! I think you ware warm. Every warm color made your skin look alive and bright
I’m also a soft summer but I end up wearing the blues of all seasons, as long as they aren’t too dark. I think she got you right but it’s more flexible than just the muteds. And keep wearing black if you want while you’re young! As you age (I’m 50) it gets too harsh by the face.
Omgg I can actually analyse her face 👀. Like I zoomed in to see if it actually works and OMG I could tell which part looked dark or when her freakales shoes or ever when her cheeks showed natural BLUSH. Thai really workssss
Maybe she roasted her (don’t think meant to be mean though) but I could genuinely see that the colors she said suited her the best were actually the ones that looked better on her, I could notice it even before she said which one looked better
Second video I watched from your channel. Subscribing! Congratulations! Regarding the color analysis, I agree with most of the colors. BUT I do like those that emphasize your facial features. Your jawline and cheekbones are gorgeous. And freckles are cute! ❤
I would say you are softer than a Winter. Soft summer or cool summer? Cool summer can borrow from cool winter and soft summer can borrow some from soft autumn so you can figure out what you suit best if you compare how you look in soft autum vs cool winter And just because black is too intense doesn't mean we have to choose gray. I am soft summer and I use charcole or something like that and softish looks like black but actually more expensive/uniqe.♡
I’ve been watching a lot of these color analysis videos and I find there is a major difference in opinion between Korean and western analysis. I am Asian so can relate to the skin/hair tone, etc. Korean analysis often chooses light Spring/Summer and Western analysis choose dark Winter/Autumn for this coloring. I don’t think either is wrong it depends on cultural influence of style and fashion. Best to do analysis in the country you live in.
It was interesting bc I could see your face shape change with the different colors. There was one thing she pointed out and I was “yeah.” 🤣🤣🤣 You do look good in a lot of seasonal colors though.
I agree with her! When Asians get colour typed in the west they *ALWAYS* type them as winter or autumn just bc they have dark hair and eyes 🙄 I think you look naturally gorgeous and your age in these colours! You look absolutely *stunning* and elegant in the makeup she did! The lilac colour is also my favourite on you. That end result is the proof that she is correct imo❤😍
Only thing I disagreed with was the contrast! I think you looked great in high contrast but I can’t tell the subtleties she might be seeing in the natural light that I can’t through a camera. :)

I thought winter looked good too. Maybe it's the difference between western and Korean aesthetics? Western likes high contrast and definition, I particularly noticed what she said about not wanting to see the shape of the cheekbones, that's the opposite of what western make-up tries to achieve.
I did a Korean app. I'm cool summer or winter but the Korean app sort of told you how much of a warm tone and how much cool u have. Mine came out 2 cool 1 warm. It's hard to explain but I can wear some warm colors in a muted Autumn.

@@licas3214why? They're absolutely right.
She’s saying the darker colors bring out the shadows on her face
Also They are obsessed with the homogeneity even in beauty. It's crazy
@@licas3214a Koreaboos talking...
You are a winter girl 🙏… the best ❤❤❤❤❤
No she’s not
@@البتولمحمد-ر5وi think she is xD
So good!! She was sweet and very professional. The cool colours on you make you look like a fairy. They look great!!
Oh my gosh, she’s such a good big sister!
She seems cool. I am not Korean but I work for a Korean Doctor & he's pretty cool. I come to work looking like garbage & he never says a thing. I agree with everything she said about your colors. She did a great job. (:
This looked very comprehensive though! I’d love to see her videos on all different color seasons!
Winter. Such a winter. It’s killing me. And you need high contrast. High contrast looked so good
Agreed.
Yeah made her cheekbones look more defined!!
@@ashleyng820that’s what the lady was purposely avoiding- she didn’t want her cheekbones to stand out
I think many of the soft colors looked nice on you.
I could never handle someone saying I have a "bad" face shape in that way.... T^T
Congrats on your first PR! Love your videos. 🤗
Awee thank you so much, this is the sweetest!
imo,you have the very natural soft features so i'd suggest you to go with soft tones and summer mute js like the lady in the video told you to!
Nice video! The lady is super adorable!
I wish I could get my colors done, but thats a bit far…
Haha thank you! and there might be options in your surrounding area! It's popular in big cities like New York and LA!
@@Foreveryc97 Im from Germany and Id be incredibly surprised if we had such a cool shop.
But I get to experience it with your video, so its fine. :)
Blue is totally your color btw, just like black.
Keep wearing what makes you happy!
Edit: Nvm, I just checked and apparently Germany does have color analysis shops!
I am indeed flabbergasted.
I actually like a lot of the winter shades on you. I think you are a winner.
First of all, she couldn't look chubby if she tried. Second, this is which colors look best on you. Honey you rock black too! You're so pretty you can wear any color!
I love the chat you two had! She's so sweet!
Peanut looks great on you girl
Fr fr
I wish i got analysis from her , she is super professional
I love the straightforwardness of that Unni!
You are definitely a winter! I have followed a color analysis course and I think Korean analyses are often wrong sadly… You look amazing in the vibrant and darker shades!
you look soo good with the summer mute palette but i get why people are telling you to get a second opinion. You have a natural high contrast (your eyes and hair are dark while your skin is bright and light) so enhancing that contrast with darker colors does look great but in like a ‘makes your features stronger’ kind of way, i think simply korean beauty tries to avoid looking sharper and stronger and that’s why she said that black doesn’t look good (it truly does looks really nice lol)
different beauty standards = different color analysis systems
I can definitely see how a lot of the things she was pointing out as negatives would be desirable in the US (“cucumber” face, high cheekbone contrast, defined jaw -in some cases). But I agree you got yellow or rosy with some of the darker colors even when they still looked good on you! ❤
Thanks for the video. This is more informative than I thought. Didn’t know that colors can affect the face structure. I’m excited to try this one day.
I also just want to let you know that no matter what the analysis says you should just wear the colors that you want.
Well, I thought she was a delight and I think she was good at what she was doing
So fun to watch! You’re a good sport. This has to be a personal preference where each colorist has a different eye for what looks good. But what matters most is what YOU like. Not what others like on you. But if you do care… I liked the yellow gold on you! 🤩
Thanks for sharing! I’m also an Asian summer mute.
9:25 I disagree - unlike Muted Summer, you looked radiant in Light Summer. Your eyes were popping
I see pale, not radiant or even bright. I feel little bit unmatch
I think this color Analysist was correct and you are definitely a muted summer. I think she was right about her advice she gave you.
I’m also a soft summer but I end up wearing the blues of all seasons, as long as they aren’t too dark. I think she got you right but it’s more flexible than just the muteds. And keep wearing black if you want while you’re young! As you age (I’m 50) it gets too harsh by the face.
DAMN this lady savage XD
Omgg I can actually analyse her face 👀. Like I zoomed in to see if it actually works and OMG I could tell which part looked dark or when her freakales shoes or ever when her cheeks showed natural BLUSH.
Thai really workssss
I LOVED the contrast on your face 🥹🤷🏻♀️
Maybe she roasted her (don’t think meant to be mean though) but I could genuinely see that the colors she said suited her the best were actually the ones that looked better on her, I could notice it even before she said which one looked better
Awe she was so sweet ❤
Second video I watched from your channel. Subscribing!
Congratulations!
Regarding the color analysis, I agree with most of the colors.
BUT I do like those that emphasize your facial features. Your jawline and cheekbones are gorgeous. And freckles are cute! ❤
she's so friendly
I loved this! Thank you so much for sharing. ❤️
this video was so enjoyable and pleasant to watch! keep on with the hard work :))) (and thanks to the lady abt the boyfriend advice haha)
I would say you are softer than a Winter. Soft summer or cool summer? Cool summer can borrow from cool winter and soft summer can borrow some from soft autumn so you can figure out what you suit best if you compare how you look in soft autum vs cool winter
And just because black is too intense doesn't mean we have to choose gray.
You’re 100% a winter and black looks great on you :) you’re definitely high contrast
What a lovely summer! 💜
shess so cute Loved this video!
It was interesting bc I could see your face shape change with the different colors. There was one thing she pointed out and I was “yeah.” 🤣🤣🤣 You do look good in a lot of seasonal colors though.
love her voice, i would immediately fall asleep with her touching my hair like that too 😂
I agree with her! When Asians get colour typed in the west they *ALWAYS* type them as winter or autumn just bc they have dark hair and eyes 🙄
I think you look naturally gorgeous and your age in these colours! You look absolutely *stunning* and elegant in the makeup she did! The lilac colour is also my favourite on you. That end result is the proof that she is correct imo❤😍
Seems to be an excellent colour consultation 👍
I honestly need this amount of bluntness in order to understand color theory.
This was so informative,I never realized how color changes your face shape as well.❤
Only thing I disagreed with was the contrast! I think you looked great in high contrast but I can’t tell the subtleties she might be seeing in the natural light that I can’t through a camera. :)
I actually think winter suited her best. The others made her look washed out and dampened her whole presence.
Please stfu ur the type of typical biased garbage that thinks all poc/Asians are winters. Shut ur trap u ppl annoy me. You want us to be monolith so bad huh?
I thought winter looked good too. Maybe it's the difference between western and Korean aesthetics? Western likes high contrast and definition, I particularly noticed what she said about not wanting to see the shape of the cheekbones, that's the opposite of what western make-up tries to achieve.
Absolutely.
I did a Korean app. I'm cool summer or winter but the Korean app sort of told you how much of a warm tone and how much cool u have. Mine came out 2 cool 1 warm. It's hard to explain but I can wear some warm colors in a muted Autumn.
What’s the apps name
Really enjoyed the video, but definitely didn't agree with a lot of the choices. You really suited the black in my opinion! :)
No! Don't look for potential. If they show you who they are, that's how they are.
Yep, people are NOT a project🏹
she’s so cute!!!
I like this lady, she is so sweet, even giving you dating advice lol, she seems really nice
Waaaaaaa I think dark blue looks amazing on her !!!
Teddy Blake has some gorgeous handbags. Lovely 🥰
Both those light pinks she tried on you were either cool or neutral. I wonder how a warmer (but not brighter or darker) pink would look.
Both mute summer and winter!!
She's great
