Would luv to see your reaction to live video of the Aussie band the church with the George Ellis orchestra Tantalize You have never seen anything like it It will blow you mind ua-cam.com/video/sl1XFiWDaqY/v-deo.htmlsi=F6p5cnBtiZbuUmC6
This song and concert are available on UA-cam. This is studio dubbed. It's there , you just gotta pick the right one. Either way , they were in their prime here. Two sisters chiseled from some fine rock. Look at Ann...Beutiful.
Nancy Wilson is an amazing songwriter and musician but Roger Fisher probably deserves more credit for the guitar work on this one. Ann Wilson's voice, as always, is off-the-charts great.
Lead guitarist Roger Fisher and Drummer Mike Derosier worked much on this song out in soundcheck. Ann Wilson came in with lyrics, etc. and the band each contributed to the finishing of the song. As the years have evolved, it became less of a democracy/band effort. The Wilson sisters usually came up with lyrics and structure and feel of the song, but in this original lineup, Roger Fisher sometimes came up with riffs that songs were built around.
This is awesome. Ann is awesome. Can't believe when she did the Stairway to Heaven in honor of Led Zepplin, she was 62 still sounded this good. She is definitely an icon! Love your reaction!
Heart is awesome. The only one I thought could rival Ann is Pat Benatar. Should check these out: Heart breaker Promises in the dark Hell is for children You better run.
The song Barracuda was a result of an encounter they had when a industry person suggested that Ann and Nancy were lovers, they immediately sat down and wrote this song as a protest against the music industry and it's treatment of female artists.
They had pretty much the same lineup in the beginning for the most part until they booted lead guitarist/Nancy Wilson love interest Roger Fisher as he was a violent drunk I guess. They did have some lineup changes in the 80s I think. The drummer is Michael DeRosier. Other cool tracks: Magic man (heard it was about Charles Manson, but not sure) Straight on for you Kick it out Bebe Le Strange Keep my love alive Dog and butterfly Little Queen
Ann Wilson played a killer flute. Description has time stamps. But watch opening with Ann playing flute. ua-cam.com/video/Pp862e4vaug/v-deo.htmlsi=gciLyxG6hxjdJVg9
Michael Derosier drummer 1975-1982 underrated as a drummer he and Bassist Fossen were fired when Ann and Nancy wanted to go in a soft rock direction. They disagreed and were voted out!
You have to check out the PLUSH cover of this song. They are the only ones authorized by Heart to record a cover of one of their songs. PLUSH has 2 albums out that absolutely rock and the singer, Moriah Formica is a combination of Ann Wilson, Lzzy Hale and Amy Lee.
Yes all natural with no auto tune crap...if you were going to make it back in the day you had to bring in vocals and instrument talent..great job reacting
If you want to check out a new Band, Try listening to LILIAC ! They are a young family group doing a lot of the 80's music ! Enter Sandman, Crazy Train, I Hate Myself for Loving you ! To name a few ! I think you would enjoy them !
Very popular jam in high school. Even better cause I drove a barracuda @ the time(still have a 67 @ 68 cuda) even though the song about unscrupulous people in the record industry.
One of the few reactors of this video to point out that they are actually miming. Even the great Ann Wilson does not sound that good live. If you want to know how good Nancy is do These Dreams.
You can tell that a professional didn't put the stufio audio over the concert video or it would be synched better. The sound must have been really bad or there was no sound at all when they did it.
Enjoyed your reaction! 🤘😎🤘 Ann Wilson wrote the lyrics to this song when a gross dude, from the music industry, made a nasty remark about her and Nancy being sister lesbian lovers. That really made her so angry. After writing the lyrics, she gave it to Heart co-founder and lead guitarist Roger Fisher. He and drummer Michael Derosier put the music to it and Nancy put her acoustic touches to it. Roger was and is a great guitarist.
I've seen Heart Live 3 times. They are just as good live as in the studio. First time I saw them was on Ann's birthday in 1986 or 7. They played 3 encores and the lights came on. Not one person left. Security had to stop their bus and make them come back out. Ann was in tears that not a single person had left. They played for another 40 minutes or so after that.
Great reaction Steve. I was fresh out of high school when they put out this smoking hot song and album. Still love it. My favourite however is Magic Man from Dreambout Annie.
When Ann wrote this she was pissed off at a record executive. The guy had spread the rumor that her and Nancy were having a lesbian relationship. The song makes a lot of sense if you know the reason it exists.
'Kick it out' is a rocker as well and 'Dog and Butterfly' is a beautiful ballad 'Little Queenie' another rocker! 'Dreams' is sung by Nancy loved your reaction!
Exceptional band! I don't know if you have heard it yet but another of my favorites from Heart is Magic Man. They have other hits as well-Crazy About You, These Dreams, Alone.
Anne wrote this in response to Hearts music Executives that were spreading a rumor that the sisters, Anne & Nancy were lesbian lovers to sell more records ! They were Pissed & Disgusted. They’re Seattle girls like me & I saw them three times @ The Seattle Center Coliseum. Always put on their Best for their Hometown ! Love them !
You react to Heart…I subscribe! Steven, I want to thank you for always including Nancy. Please check put Nancy on lead in “These Dreams” but, live is must. The video is misleading.
Ann & Nancy switched to different band members in the mid 80s. This is one of my favorite Heart songs. Another good one to check out is their song: "Straight On".
This one takes me back. It was August 16th, 1977, remember that date, at Convention Hall on the boardwalk in Asbury Park, NJ. Seeing Heart on their tour for the "Little Queen" album. This is the first track, and they slayed it.
They did a photo of the girls, and this producer guy called them Lesbians and they wrote this song about that. Also, the girls wrote their own songs with another writer and the songs are all incredible. Love Alive and Minstrel Wind off this album. Hello and a few others you will be blown away.
Heart recorded their first four studio albums (Dreamboat Annie, Magazine, Little Queen and Dog and Butterfly) with their original lineup: Ann and Nancy Wilson, Roger Fisher (lead guitar), Howard Leese (keyboards and 2nd lead guitar), Steve Fossen (bass) and Michael Derossier (drums). They wrote their songs as a collective, yet by their 4th album, the sisters brought in their cousin, Sue Ennis as a songwriter (not performer). By their 5th studio album, Bebe LeStrange, we saw the departure of guitar God Roger Fisher due to ongoing internal conflicts. Sadly by their 6th and 7th albums, the band seemed to lose their direction with the new wave scene commanding more danceable music on the record charts. They took a brief time off to regroup and all but Ann and Nancy had been replaced. Their record company groomed them to become a big hair metal band, which turned out to be successful, and Heart reemerged as rock contenders.
All right my brother Stephen.... I did have the privilege to see these ladies perform live. They did have a different lineup in the band but it was still phenomenal. Great reaction on some of those drum fills ‼️💯🔥🥁🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
I saw them in 1970 sevand I was absolutely blown away. She quickly replaced grace slick as my favorite female singer Anne Wilson is phenomenal and I was in love with her and Nancy. Update today. This is a great rabbit hole lot of diversity with this Group. But with a singularity of phenomenon when you hear him
This has always been my favorite song from Heart. Ann wrote it in response to a rumor that the record company started about her and her sister being lovers. Someone approached her about it, and it made her so mad that she sat down and wrote this song. I covered this a few years ago on my UA-cam channel, and as far as I know, I may be the only male who has ever covered this song.
@setonhillstudios I have a pretty wide vocal range. I grew up emulating my favorite singers, and a lot of them had pretty high vocal ranges. I could send you the link if you're interested.
First 4 albums are all the same members...Ann,Nancy, Howard Leese, Mike Derosier, Steve Fossen and Mike Fisher. Fisher left after Dog & Butterfly. A couple albums with just Leese /Nancy on guitars. After that, the rhythm section changed to Denny Carmassi (Montrose)on drums and Mark Andes (Spirit) on bass. The first 5 albums are my fav era. T
Question, right before you paused at 2:50.. is that a drum triplet? I love that part... fun fact Heart took the galloping riff from Nazareth _ This Flight Tonight
Love Heart❤❤ Alone is a monster hit 🎉🎉 Also, she recently did a song with Disturbed Don't tell Me Best duet since Ozzy and Lita Ford's " Close my eyes Forever " Absolutely phenomenal 🎉
The band had the same musicians for the first four albums. After the fourth album, Dog & Butterfly (their best album ever in my mind), Roger Fisher, the lead guitar, left in 1980. The departure of this superb and unique guitar player, very highly regarded at the time, really impacted the quality of the band’s output. Then the drummer and bass player left in 1982.

What memories this brings back. I watched them perform this at the Grand Slam Jam at the Milwaukee County Stadium in June of 1978. Cheap Trick, Journey, and Heart opened for Ted Nugent. That was probably the greatest concert I have ever attended. Thanks for the reaction.
Great reaction….. my top 5 low key bangers ❤️ 1) Sing Child (1976) 2) Little Queen (1977) 3) Cook With Fire (1978) 4) Devil Delight (1978) 5) Rockin’ Heaven (1980) ……all bangers ❤️🎸🔥

I've had a crush on Anne since I was introduced to Heart's music in 1986
One of the best rock songs ever, for me, anyway.
So Good!!! 🔥🔥
Ok so the sister harmony is for real
I miss my sister.❤
She gave me DREAMBOAT ANNIE for my 10th birthday
So sorry for your loss! ❤️
Total jam from Heart, you need to check out Magic Man
Absolutely ADORE Heart and the Wilson sisters!
Another thing. They are not mimming this song! This is a live "concert performance" with the studio audio dubbed over it. This was not lip synched!!
Nancy Wilson is an amazing songwriter and musician but Roger Fisher probably deserves more credit for the guitar work on this one. Ann Wilson's voice, as always, is off-the-charts great.
My favorite Heart song is "Heartless".
Lead guitarist Roger Fisher and Drummer Mike Derosier worked much on this song out in soundcheck. Ann Wilson came in with lyrics, etc. and the band each contributed to the finishing of the song. As the years have evolved, it became less of a democracy/band effort. Wow! That’s wild! Appreciate the insight!
Nancy, Ann and two guys wrote BARRACUDA
They had pretty much the same lineup in the beginning for the most part until they booted lead guitarist/Nancy Wilson love interest Roger Fisher as he was a violent drunk I guess. They did have some lineup changes in the 80s I think. The drummer is Michael DeRosier.
Other cool tracks:
Magic man (heard it was about Charles Manson, but not sure)
Straight on for you
Kick it out
Bebe Le Strange
Keep my love alive
Dog and butterfly
Little Queen
Love Ann and Nancy Wilson
💯
You need to check out Alone. Another awesome song. Loving your reactions👍
Really appreciate it! 😁
Even It Up and Straight On To You are two other greats.
Saw them in concert in 1980 at the Starlight in KC. Robert Palmer opened for them. Great show!!!
I saw them in 1980 in Jacksonville, Florida. 😊
Saw them in concert and it was excellent . Saw them twice actually . Years apart but still on top of it .
I got into this song from the movie Charlie's Angels.
You should really react to the official Alone video by Heart!!!!! This one is great, Alone is mind blowing
Live or not Heart is awesome
do magic man next
Ann Wilson has a fantastic voice and her sister Nancy is an incredible guitarist I've seen them about 9 times the yhave a ton of great songs
The definition of a Gallup rhythm.
And obviously inspired by Achille's Last Stand.
Heart doesn't have a bad song.
Such an amazing band!! 🔥
I just wish this was a true live performance rather than the studio dubbed over the video. Enjoyed the reaction

I beg to differ, I've seen Heart before they got big and after and I think her voice is just as phenominal. Watch them from Cal Jam 2.
Wrong,wrong,wrong.

Love the shift from 2 to 5 and back to the doubles. Hard to not love the technique.
Don't think there is any 5/4 in here - count. I don't know - in one of the transition parts it almost sounds like 7/8 or 3/4.
Magic Man is one of Hearts best songs another great female singer for you to listen to is Sade.

Roger Fisher on guitar is one of the GREATS! His brother Michael was on drums.
Ann Wilson is, hands down, my fav female rock singer! So sassy!
Hey Steven, no, they all didn't stay together. Members came went. Both Ann and Nancy had relationships with band members that fell apart.
This was the studio version played over concert footage.

Agree with everyone about Magic Man. But, for a total different sound from Heart...Dog and Butterfly.
Or Mistral Wind
My very first concert, it was on this tour. I was 15 years old❤
They are so bad a.. !!! Seriously timeless and their talent! I love them!!

Watch the one from the Stern show a few months ago. They do this one and at 74, sitting in a chair, Ann can still hit every note of this song.
This tune is and always has been FIRE 🔥!
My favorite is “Dog And Butterfly”
Many great songs, saw twice
Try Dog and Butterfly, Mistral Wind, and Even It Up!
When I was a teen in the 70s,I hade a crush on heart 😅 Greetings from Belgium 🇧🇪
You should dive into the rest of the album. EVERY song is a banger.

Not exactly…..just a single note sticking counted as 1 & ah 2, & ah 3, & ah 4 e and ah. It basically consists of 8th notes and 16 notes.

Always loved Ann's voice, top tier with Karen Carpenter and Linda Ronstadt.
Barracuda, Crazy on You & Magic Man are by far their 3 biggest songs
Music from my childhood. Also try Almost Paradise by Ann Wilson (Heart) and Mike Reno (Loverboy).
