Yeah, Magic Man and Crazy on You. Drummer is a beast. The guys in the band are also amazing. These ladies were very respected even amongst all the men in the rock industry and still are. They are legends.
I'm glad I was around when it was NEW and unknown!!!! We had the best music ever. Loved hearing all that stuff when it was new and keeping it close all these years.
@@notwokevikingrules401 It's been around for a very long time that "galloping" riff having been used in movies like North to Alaska that classic western starring John Wayne to which the theme song of the movie was done by Johnny Horton. It was also used in tv theme songs like Bonanza that classic western show which aired from 1959-1973 and Dallas that classic night time soap opera used it in the theme song, which is one of the most famous tv theme songs of all time by the way. Of course it was used in music too so no Nazareth did not invent this galloping riff.
The Wilson sister were early innovators who laid groundwork for hard rock and metal. Their power ballads were amazing. Ann Wilson was one of rock’s few female power vocalists and Nancy Wilson is a creative though often under appreciated guitarists who has written some of rock’s most well known and widely recognized riffs such as this one from Baracuda. Heart is always a great choice.
This was a revenge song, they called them Barracudas lol.. Anne Wilson explains..... . " *There was this one sleazy guy at a record company or promoter* - *I can’t even remember where from* , *exactly* , *You know that type* ; *there’s a lot of those kinds of guys in this business* . *And he was like* , *because of our album cover where we had bare shoulders touching* … “ So, Ann, how’s your lover?” And she goes, “Oh, yeah, Mike’s great!” And he goes, “No, no, I mean your sister, haha!” So, the insinuation that we were lovers was, of course, not anywhere near true and really sleazy and inappropriate,
@@fredtello no. The record executive was mad because Ann and Nancy wouldn't do and sing what HE wanted them to do and sing. They change record companies and biggest hit of their career
Wasn't that in a Rolling Stone article? I either read or heard the same thing...Heart was my era, I'm 62. I remember them fighting that reputation because nobody wanted to believe they were sisters because of that one jackass comment.
These girls kick serious ass. Nancy Wilson is a terrific guitar player and has a beautiful voice. Her sister, Ann, has a voice that will break down walls. As hard as they rock, they also sing beautiful ballads like “Dog and Butterfly”
Cannot believe this song is 44 years old...they are still kicking it.Their greatest hits is amazing....The whole band was something else. This is how you end a song, too.
Y'all remember the phrase, "If looks could kill...."? Heart made a song out of it, and it's one of my favorites. Not many people react to that one, but I think it's awesome. 🤷🏻♀️

I saw these gals, and Heart, back in 1977 in Seattle where they were from. So much talent. They fashioned themselves after Led Zeppelin. And actually became very close to them, and were friends with those guys. What a voice This gal had. There wasn't a hotter Band in the 70s . Maybe Fleetwood Mac. Thanks

Love this music!! I was 16 and having the time of my life! So much good music in the 70's and the women actually kept their clothes on!!!!! Pure talent.
Love it!! Remember me and my sister in the back of my Mom's 82 Chevy conversion van that my Dad tricked out with the 4 captains chairs the rear bench seat with two 6x9's on the flap and you could turn the bench into a bed! Had 6x9's under the seats and tweeters all over the place. Had lights all over it, Mini blinds on the rear windows! That van screamed 70's and 80's! All the road trips to Florida, Boston, Cape Cod, and the Eastern Shore in that thing! It prolly be tacky looking now a days but back in the day that van was so awesome! Wish they never got rid of it! Lots of good memories with that van, with my dad drivin, hauling ass down the interstate jamming to this, ZZ Top, Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Who, Rollin Stones, Black Foot, and the list goes on! Love y'all, much love from Texas!
I love that you mentioned this song made you want to be a rock star!! When I was a teenager I spent many many hours listening and imagining while playing air guitar and singing in my bedroom with foil covered windows and a black light to Heart. Heart is my favorite group. There song "Secret" isn't as popular as some of their others, but is my favorite from them. When "Secret" comes up on my IPod, I listen to it 2-3 times before I let it go to the next song! The vocals are amazing!!!
They've been rocking for decades. They are legends and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2013. Their performance of Stairway to Heaven for the Kennedy Center Honors ceremony for Led Zeppelin is amazing.
If you're looking for the 70's sound, you need to hear "Mississippi Queen" from Mountain....Will pop your eyes out of the sockets! Kick'n it from front to back...👍👍
This is the year I graduated from high school. I played all Heart music in my 1969 Firebird on 8 Track. There, I owned my 61 years! Heart and Ann & Nancy Wilson, are the sound track to my youth! More Heart!
I love all kinds of music. And I also love it when ppl experience something new that they enjoy. It happens to me all the time. It’s like finding a hidden treasure. Rock and roll will never die
They are still doing this in their 70's. They were just on the Howard Stern Show a few months ago. They did this one, magic man, and a cover of Led Zeppelin's Going to California. You should check they still sound awesome.
White Heart was a Seattle band that headed north to Vancouver BC to avoid the draft. Anne was dating a band member and followed them to Vancouver. A short time later Nancy joined them. They called Vancouver their home, and made awesome music there, before heading back to Seattle after the mass pardon for draft dodgers. Not long after they first came north, they played at my high school. ❤️❤️❤️
