@@sharonstewart4882 exactly. Those kids only get so much spotlight when they are central to some kind of decision in a story. They've been talking about them since the swimming lessons up to this point where almost every question /response is about them.
It is soooo obvious the children play a key role here, which is why Brooke regrets not parading them up and down the judges' chambers.

There are so many beautiful and talented actresses who could've played Brooke. I still wouldn't have liked the character but at least then I could understand the show portraying her as some hard to resist beauty and maybe even enjoy her performance. 🤷♀🤷♀🤷♀

Brooke was supposed to be the favorite sister that had the slight edge being blonde and wearing bikinis. Neither Stephen nor Beth have blonde hair, or the rest of their children.

We had even both lawyers at court objecting, when the judge wanted to ask Ridge about his feelings. _Ridge's feelings are not relevant for the court case._ 😅 And just before that question, the judge himself has objected to a question addressed to Ridge, because it wasn't relevant what Ridge would have done if things had been differently. 🤣
And even for Taylor, who (as crazy as that is) only had married Omar because of her love for Ridge, having her marriage to Ridge legally acknowledged mattered more to Taylor than waiting for Ridge to decide what he wants for his future.
If she still had been in martyr mode, she could have waited for Ridge's decision and in case of Ridge deciding to stay with Brooke and the kids, then agree to an annulment. But Taylor is done being a martyr. (Ridge is her life)
Her marriage had not been automatically been the one legally acknowledged (and the second automatically dissolved) because of her return. But with the appeal, Taylor's will be the valid one and so it now has to be a divorce.
So, Taylor is the bad guy because she wants to know if she is still legally married to Ridge. Ridge is gulity because Brooke is in pain because she dared marry him, but not because his once beloved wife Taylor went through hell the last months. And This is the great threat Bridge is subjected to🥴.

@@youlamatou she is not his ex wife. Bridge marriage is not legal, because , bad for them, Taylor is alive. He has to put an end to his previous marriage.
Plus Ridge has never told Brooke he wants to leave her for Taylor.

@@babs4848 Since Taylor was considered dead at the time, wasn't his marriage to her finished? I would assume so. There must be some law according to which they are no longer married. But Bell trying to.mess us all around doe not show clearly what is valid and what is not. I mean the other day in the court they were asking Ridge if he still loved Taylor when in fact his case was judged according to laws and not feelings. It is a stupid series. I don't know why I am still watching it. I guess only because I started watching it in 1987.

You know why this "who is the real wife" story is ridiculous? Bc it really did not need to go to a hearing to decide.
I'm thinking back to Brooke's mother, whose husband (Brooke's dad) went missing for 8 years without a trace and she was still considered married to him. Storm was encouraging her to declare him dead so she could finally be free to marry Eric. When Stephen showed up on her doorstep and was obviously not dead, nobody had to go to court bc everyone knew Stephen was Beth's husband since they never were divorced and she never declared him dead in all those 8 years he was gone. It was up to Beth to decide which man she would be with, and ultimately chose her HUSBAND Stephen. No need for a judge to tell her who her husband was, even tho she was practically planning a life with Eric (who was also still married to Steph BTW).
It is kind of similar to me in this situation and it aggravates me that Ridge can't just realise he is still married to Taylor by virtue of her not being dead (and she hasn't been gone for 8 years), and then make a decision from there.

I have been watching the epis I missed back to back and the whole thing just came across as ridiculous. Lol.
Everyone keeps asking everyone how they feel, as opposed to just stating facts, and then there's Omar - who nobody asked anything - wanting to put in his 2 cents about how someone else feels 🙄
And then there's the issue of that faulty marriage certificate.. It would have been signed "Laila" not Taylor Forrester. So the fact is, Omar is married to some lady named Laila who doesn't exist lol.
This whole hearing is a sham, bc Ridge could have decided this long time ago.
The difference is that Taylor willfully married Omar because she thought there was no chance that Ridge would want her at first. It's true that Taylor was held against her will at first and that Omar manipulated SOME of the facts but not ALL the facts! The facts that Brooke and Ridge were in love and that Ridge had moved on with his life, were true!

Why does Ridge feel sorry for what Brooke has been through? Yet, Taylor, who truly experienced a very traumatic experience gets very little of his care and empathy. This is so lopsided and not true to how in love Ridge was with Taylor pre “death”. The writers have not been consistent.

Brooke excels at being the eternal victim. Especially when it's someone else who is the true victim. Taylor is the one who was almost killed, was in a coma, lost her memory and was told she was someone else. She was also held captive and emotionally abused and coerced into a marriage with her captor. Where is Ridge's compassion for Taylor? I love tridge because Taylor actually brings out the best of Ridge while Brooke brings out the worst but during this storyline I don't want Ridge to be with Taylor because she deserves a thousand times better than Ridge.

This is the second time (first the press conference about Taylor's return) that Ridge praises Brooke for not letting her emotions get the best of her, praises Brooke that she hadn't turned the court hearing into a cat fight.
Of course he is impressed. He knows Brooke. But Brooke is the Mini Me Taylor wife now.
What does that say about how Ridge sees Brooke? She’s reactionary and has temper tantrums.
Brooke does her best to always be on her best behavior around Ridge and Ridge falls for it every time. If Ridge truly knew how cruel, manipulative and narcissistic Brooke really is I don't think he would choose her.

@@scor66 I think it's because Brooke always acts like a damsel in distress and for some reason men love to feel like a savior. Ridge is the epitome of this behavior. Taylor's biggest mistake is not acting like a true victim/damsel in distress. When she starts getting stalked by the neighbor at the beach house, Ridge has to play the rescuer and Brooke goes ballistic.

Tried and true B&B narrative structure at work: Brooke thinks she'll win; Taylor thinks she'll lose - then the opposite happens. Would be interesting for the show to subvert expectations if we weren't already so used to this trick being used on us for Eight Long Years.

Another episode in which James tries to convince Taylor that her life is not just her marriage to Ridge Forrester. She also has a practice, a family and friends.
At least she doesn't seem to be at risk anymore to run off and leave everything else behind, if she can't have Ridge. And James too won't allow her to give up so easily.

Now I've watched 2081 episodes, watching several episodes every day. Bold and the Beautiful - 1995 (S8 E330) FULL EPISODE 2081 These episodes are from 1995. Why do I have to wait for a new episode every day here on UA-cam? Since they are from 1995, I will never finish the entire series as long as I live with only one episode per day.

Ridge doesn't even seem like he feels the need to make a decision between the two. He is already planning a vacation with Brooke's family.

Brooke thinks she's always right and that everyone needs to agree with her. Ridge is pissing me off. The fact that he hasn't checked in on Taylor is appalling. She is the real victim not Brooke. He keeps empathizing with Brooke and she plays the victim and she manipulates him constantly. It's not like he stopped loving Taylor or they had an unhappy marriage. He is a POS for not being there for her during all this. Especially knowing that he divorces Taylor but he keeps her on the hook and goes to her constantly when he struggles with little Eric (Rick) and when he finds out Bridget isn't his. If I was Taylor I would tell him to get lost!

Gorgeous Taylor's attorney should have pointed out during his examination of Brooke that it's ironic that she talks about family staying together being "so important" when she had a family with her son's father, Eric, and she threw that away to pursue Ridge, also Eric's son and little Eric's brother. It surely would have proved to the judge what a whack job Brooke truly is. Brooke's character is written as someone who is truly despicable, making Stephanie spot-on n where she's concerned.
Well then Ridge wont like that bec its his doing too btw
I am sure the judge knows that he has to deal with three whack jobs here:
- Brooke, who has cheated on her husband with his son and then married her son's half-brother
- Ridge, the son who had sex with his father's wife and later became his half-brother's stepfather
- Taylor, the psychiatrist, who willingly committed bigamy for her husband's sake, marred a man she didn't love and who had been cruel and manipulative towards Taylor, just to be able to move on from Ridge
The judge definitely needed a break.

Judging from the daily barrage of "jokes" about how tired, old and unattractive KKL looks because she's not as young and pretty as when the show started eight years ago, it's no wonder women, particularly, struggle so much with the concept of ageing and feeling unattractive when they're older. Even other women - supposedly their allies - continue to take endless potshots at them.
Eh I think the problem is that the show (Brad) overrates her so much. We can _see_ she's not some great beauty yet they portray her as if every man can't resist her. 🙄🙄🙄 And the actress isn't talented enough to sell it either. Just my opinion!
Shane, if she really was not a beautiful woman, I don't think anyone would dare to criticize anything. Like observing every inch of her face to find a "flaw". And keep repeating that. All that for a woman who is now over 60 and still looks good. It would have been impossible to be exactly like she was when she started. (And I am sure some of them wouldn't say she looked great even back then) It takes someone very special to draw such criticism merely for their appearance. Otherwise nobody would have bothered.
Plus she isn't the only one growing up, all the characters/actors are, and all of us commenting here, and if any of those are still considered young, they will get to what they are making fun of sometime. And I wonder if they will like it when someone tells them they "look" old or unattractive.

I get it, Bridge is in a great turmoil because Taylor's death is the reason they married. What's the difference if Bridge is not married? They are in love and they can remarry. They are too lazy to do it again? I know for sure that they are good at it, having weddings, or are they scared to do it again?
Brooke doesn't truly becomes Ridge's wife until Taylor dies the second time. They get married after Taylor gets pregnant with Thomas but because Brooke lied to Ridge, the marriage gets annulled. Brooke's delusional belief of her and Ridge being destiny keeps getting proven wrong.

It has never happened to me, to be in love with two men st the same time. We have two different words for love in my language ,Eros and ayapi. When I feel eros or erota for some ,it means I have fallen in love with him and I only think and want him.

This is only a court hearing and not a cinema representation of the TRIDGE marriage. Before Taylor's death, that marriage almost blew up, but at the same time Ridge was on a guilt trip and had promised Taylor that he would put their marriage before FC, that almost losing Taylor (earthquake) had opened his eyes about what is really important.
When they had made up after the earthquake, we had Ridge going on how they are now more in love than ever.
