Good to know! Thanks!
Did you have to contact the manufacturer for the proper outlet plug type and proper GX16 plugs? also can you charge with just one plug at a time for a single port wheel/scoot?
Thanks for all of the helpful info! I've been binge watching your videos this past week. Wish they made this charger with some pre-defined profiles. Also, which reseller has the RS with Moli P42a's? TIA

Dual fast charging is so nice. I've been thinking of getting one. First comment baby. That really seems like a great charger. I like the size too.
Do you have a thorough guide on using this SWEET charger?
Do you know if this is a smart charger as well to maximize battery health?
How has the charger held up for you? Considering buying one for my Weped
Good info, I’ll have to get a fast charger.
Nice video. Question. You have some scooters that have covers over the ends of the axles, almost like an axle sliders. Do you know where I can find these covers or are they stock with the scooters they came on. Would like some crash protection for the scooter and its a topic not well covered here on UA-cam. Thanks
They are called crash sliders or motorcycle crach sliders
Hi. i can see that you have a Kugoo G booster. wanted to ask my stock charger that came with my G booster says 48/54.6V 2A but im using a 5A charger with same voltage.. now am i damaging my scooter ? yesterday while riding my battery went full charge to 0% in 2 sec ! and it continued.. the battery says 100% but if i push the throttle the battery drains !! do you have any idea what's wrong here ? Strange thing is i didn't charge my scooter at all and today its working fine again !.. any information will be appreciated. Thanks.
i think i can use that on a 52v , how i would charge 58v 5amp 18ah battery.
been learning so much in the last year hope i am right i just bought a 4amp charger ?????
i wont the time down from 5hr to 2hr or less i have one charge port 3 pin connector
Do yiu know of a way to charge a Doohan itank without the official iTank charger? The chargers i get from Doohan last about 15 charges, then stop working
Nice vid Ginger! Bronco uses 4pin connector which is now with their 84v 5amp charger. Can you get this connector for this charger?
Yup. Just need to solder different connectors on. I wonder if the bronco 4 pin is wires 1+ 2+ 3- 4- , if so then it can likely charge 2x as fast as a standard gx16-3.... interesting. I'll have to look into that.
Hi! What good charger for NAMI MAX ?
I'm getting one for my Weped FS - factory charger is 1.7A - useless and takes well over 28hr to charge.... I think charging it around 7-10A will be ideal at least here and there when I want it charged fast..... great video as normal man
I've got a bunch of unicycles and scooters, and the really small and cheap 1.7 amp generic charger is the one I prefer over all others because it's reliable, quiet, and stays cool. I've had one fast charger and three stock chargers pop on me when I plugged them into the wall, but the low amperage generic chargers work for years.
I have the same charger which works very well, On my Sherman-S i often set the target voltage at 101v at 15 Amps, you don't have to worry about full charge, because the amps will automatically goes down as they approach the target then fully stop
How do you know it's not set to 101.9 ? There isn't a 4th decimal place for the potentiometer so I always set to 100v.
Where are you located?
Where do get the connectors fir different things from
Any 18650 charger can Harte 21700 cells also?
Can this charger charge a dead battery of an Electric 2-12 volt scooter. It appears the batteries need to be woke up.
Cool.Would be nice if they just put a standard pot out the back with a knob for the voltage.A tiny screw driver really??
That's for protection, so you don't accidentally turn up the voltage and blow up the battery.
Is the charger you'd recommend the 10-120V 0-15A version? My factory charger isn't giving me the full 67.5V charge, so thinking of ordering one of these.
Yup. That's the version I have.
Does the demonstrated charger have the protection and shutdown features once the voltage hits? In other words, does it stop trying to charge once capacity has been reached?
Yes. You set the peak voltage yourself.
Where is the link to this charger?please.also does it come with all accessories or peripherals you showed?or did you have too fabricate/customize your own cables?
Link in description. Cables are custom.
Have a question 42v 1.5 Amp charger wanna charge my battery faster help 7500MAh
Where can I buy this charger please?
Awesome 👏
What's the cost and where can I get it
Ginger how do you know how many amps you can charge your scooter at safely ? Is there a process to figure it out ?
Manufacturer spec is the best and safest way. Or you can do some math. Find out which cells are in your battery and their individual max charge rate. Find out how many parallel lines your battery pack has. Multiply 1 cell max charge rate X amount of parallel lines. Example: cells ca charge at 2 amps each, battery pack is 10s4p, so 2 amps x 4p equal 8 amps max charge rate. This of course is assuming the BMS in the pack is rated to the max charge rate... if it isn't then most BMS will cut charging when it gets too high.
Don’t see a link in description.. did you remove the info? Thanks. Looking for a new charger that I can control for my esk8.. will probably only charge between 3-5a but wanted to make sure that I could really control everything going to battery .
Thanks
Check out the charger balancer from Pidzoom. That might be all you need. If you need a charger faster than the one you already have then Google NingNing or Roger charger. I think Alien Rides sells the ones from this video as well.
@@GingerOnWheels thank you for the info! Appreciate it. I couldnt see the link on mobile but Just saw it on pc. WIll buy the same one

Use a 20Amp Outlet they are usually in a kitchen or in your laundry room it has a little T-Shaped Slot.
Did you get the Dual cable with the charger or did you order it separate?

Hey question is the charger splitting the amps so when you were charging at 10amps would that be 5amps per 5pin connector or 10 ? Also was wondering how many amps you could charge the Sherman safely at I hear 7 amps per charge port but I’ve only done 5amp s and 7 amps so 12amps total.
It splits amps in two if they are both plugged in. Otherwise it all goes to one. Sherman is 13amp max, 8 max per port.
@@GingerOnWheels cool thanks I’m useing stock 5amp and alienrides adjustable 9amp but I’m only using 7amps if I have the stock charger in. Thanks for the info I thought 12 amps was a bit much but you say in it’s ok 👍 thanks

They have a 0-140v version on the same Alibaba page. Only goes up to 15 amps though compared to 20.
I just bought a new Dualtron Thunder 2 (first scooter). I also bought a super charger that has an output of 84V 10A. My concern is that since it's not the original charger, and because it has 7 times more Amp (original minimotors charger has 1.4A) than the original, it might not be safe to use. Am I naive to think so? Is it safe to use?
Greatly appreciate a response from someone who knows. Thanks
As long as you can confirm that the charger is for lithium batteries and will balance your cells then yes. You can use it. But keep in mind that fast charging will decrease the overall life of your battery.
@@GingerOnWheels thanks for the advice
Quick question: how often should I be changing my DT2 breaking pads?
nice, any plans to try it with 220 volt outlet? 😊
Only on group rides on the 220v car chargers.
VERY COOL
so im going to get the Kaabo wolf king gt, next week, and i need a quick charge charger? can you reconmend me one.
Any 84v charger with a gx16-3 plug with output less than 15amps. They sell them everywhere they sell the King GT
@Jerry Jerome if you replace the stock 5a fuses you can. Otherwise I would only suggest 4A per charge port. You are supposed to be able to do 5 per port with no issues but I know of more than one wolf that blew the fuses at 5 amps.

Ginger that charger is built wrong as you said that adjustment screw shouldn't be near the output. id pull that apart ,make feet for it and move the adjustment screw and use something with a knob and toss the screwdriver.
so, it can not (ideally) do the s22 or master or ex20s?
Not this particular one. But there are versions on Ali that go up to 140v
Y se le puede dejar allí cargando hasta el 100% sin dañar la batería, el cargador se apaga solo una vez cargado el scooter? O hay que apagarlo antes de su 100% de cargado?
What?
@@GingerOnWheels And can it be left there charging up to 100% without damaging the battery, does the charger turn itself off once the scooter is charged? Or do you have to turn it off before its 100% charged?
@@luchinpb123 You set the voltage on the charger to the maximum voltage of your battery. When the voltage of your battery reaches the voltage you have set on the charger, then the charger will stop charging.

My scooter S10
So I got the new mantis king GT and it comes with chargers that have a bordered 3 pin connector...I can't find any attachments for these types of chargers or adapters to switch out the connector cables, is there a way to buy one of these fast chargers and solder on my "special charging connector"??? I do appreciate the help from anyone who knows anything. I've been looking for a UA-cam video of someone doing this and haven't found even one yet....
I can't tell what you're talking about or what your question is. Why do you need an adapter for the stock chargers?
@@GingerOnWheels I want to buy a fast charger like the ones you explain in your video but the stock chargers that came with my scooter are a new style of connector and each of the 3 pins inside the connector end of the chargers are separated by plastic borders to prevent shock I think. But I haven't seen a fast charger with the connector I need to charge my scoot yet. It's none of the types that I have seen in any of your videos either, So I figured I would need to solder my stock connections from the stock chargers to a fast charger If I wanted to charge my scooter faster?
Right now with 2 stock chargers plugged in it takes 5hrs to charge my scooter. I wanna upgrade my charger like you did but I don't see any of them that have the right connections I need.
@@daveyshay4147 I hate to sound like a snob or rude, but I think if you dont know how to solder your own GX16-3 on the end then you shouldn't be experimenting with aftermarket chargers. It's so easy to catch these things on fire.
@@GingerOnWheels that makes sense but that's not the right connector... I would prefer to just buy a fast charger with the right connector or some type of adapter that's similar to what I need but I can't seem to find what this connector is called or anyone who has it lol 😅 I think it's a new one maybe 🤷♂️
Anywhere to buy those dual 6-pin connectors?
No you'll have to find someone to custom make you one.
@@GingerOnWheels I have no issues making one, I just can't find a wiring diagram to save my life to go from the XT60's to GX16 - 6. Putting together this exact setup to be able to fast - charge at EV - Car chargers.
You can get any NEMA J1772 adapter and as long as your charger is capable of 120v 220v switchable then you can charge there. In the gx16 connectors usually pin 1 is positive and pin 5 is negative and most of the time the others are ignored.
Did you get rid of the weped fs?

Can it balance the packs like the stock charger, by setting 100.8V for a Sherman for instance?
This would be great for long rides, but I would like to balance the cells at least once a day on a multi day trip.
Yup. It balances if you have the voltage setting just right.
I've ordered it, along with a twin GX16-5 cable like you showcased. Thx! It's great that it can balance, but then again this is going to be my on-the-road-charger, and I never balance on the road, just at ride end.
I've also ordered a Master, with a new GX20 connector. I would like to order another cable with a twin GX20, so I can use the same charger of course. Any idea about the pins on a GX20? 1-2 (+) and 3-4 (-)? Any idea where I could confirm that?
The BMS balances the cells (if it has passive or active balancing), not the charger.
It's very convenient that the entirety of this video is spent talking about the item but you never say the name of it!
No either I'm deaf or dumb but I'd really like to know the name.
And if it's in a very obvious place the second question I have is this.
How much power does this thing need to be connected to, I'm working on a mobile system and I need to know how much electricity I need to generate in order to use the full capability of this device.
You would be saving me a lot of hardship.
Nice charging setup but that screwdriver voltage adjustment seems annoying..... there are other similar chargers with full size knobs for voltage and current...... Or you could replace that screwdriver Pot with another bigger one =) take care
I could just solder a knob to the dial, but accidentally touching the voltage dial can very easily start a fire, so its protected. I'm curious though, what are these other chargers with variable voltage dials? You're talking about the Chargery?

Where can I buy one?
'Battis' store on Alibaba.
this is a modified server power supply, be careful, these arent made to charge something and the chinese are usually just using old used psus for these
I wonder if someone like your Ginger self with many scooters really needs a fast charger..Many reputable 1st class companies (not Chinese obviously) eg: Sony/Makita never use fast charging as it damages/limits the charging life. As a tradesman my reliability on tools treated correctly never let me down!!
With batteries this big you don't start to really fast charge them until we start to reach 10amps. Even this, its on the slower side. Thats 1amp per parallel line which is probably slower than the Makita charger 🙂
If we have 10 parallel lines that consist of 3500mah batteries then that means we can charge at 1.75amps per parallel line and still be charging at .5C which according to the data sheet of these Samsung 35e cells is the standard charge rate. So since we have 10 parallel lines then 10amps is considered safe cycle charge rate and 17.5amps is considered standard charge rate. The major limiting factor on these scooters is the gx16 charge port itself and the wiring leading from the charge port to the battery is usually not thick enough to support that current. I keep it under 7amps per port if I can for that reason alone.
@@GingerOnWheels Thanks for your reply..but take away the electrical technical like amps/watts/mah/port capabilities/wire gauge etc...I guess the battery/batteries are like a fuel tank! You can only fit in so much.. What's the charge time difference between the two chargers?? Makita batteries have a limit of discharge so not to allow the voltage to drop below operation levels/ also are fan assisted to cool when charging..Hot Aussie climate..Do the scooter batteries you fast charge have this safety feature or do they run till voltage is minimal?? Btw You have great reviews & enjoy watching..Keep up the good work as many rely on your opinion..Thank you "Go The Ginger"
Just keep the charge rate to 0.5C or less and it's perfectly healthy for the battery.

@Ginger On Wheels is it worldwide I'm in the UK
Fast charging is bad for batteries... please avoid it for any kind of battery: smarphone, notebook, scooters, etc
A single charger for all is good, but fast charge lower the lifespan of the cells
Over many years and hundreds of charges this is true. I tend to break my toys or buy new ones every few years though so this isn't very relevant to people like me. If you have one device and love it and plan on keeping it for 5 or more years then by all means, slow charge to 80% and never discharge below 20%.
That's wrong. The problem you're trying to describe is fast charging to full capacity and allowing it to stay on fast charging.
If you fast charge to let's say, 80-90% and slow charge to max, you're totally fine.
If you want to discuss this further, I have many tests and other people who have studies this whole "fast charging" thing.
@@TheLondonCyclist from my understanding, can can fast charge anything as long as it takes more than an hour. Am I correct?
@@vik5592 The saying is, especially with scooter riders or even phones, fast charge to about 80-90% and stop or you can slow charge to 100%

That would be perfect for my 72v 30ah Lithium titanate oxide battery for my ebike. It can handle a 40a charger and be fully charged in 6 minutes. I use a 10a charger and it takes less than 2 hours to fully charge it but I would prefer that 20a obviously and probably trip my breaker repeatedly. Lol.
Woah. That sounds like a very expensive battery.
@@GingerOnWheels Not really got it on aliexpress for just under $1250.00 Canadian and it came with a cheap large plastic brick 10a charger. They claim that this battery pack can be charged over 20 thousand cycles . The only downside is the size as my 30ah is about the size of a 50ah Lithium ion.
You never want to charge over 1C, ideally keeping it to 0.5C or below for battery longevity.
Hello friends, Huawei charger 4875/4830, Delta charger, I have here, hope to cooperate.
DO NOT EVER ATTEMPT TO CHARGE 2 DEVICES WITH THE SAME CHARGER AT THE SAME TIME LOL. That would mean you connect 2 batteries with different voltages in parallel, huge surge of current from the battery with higher voltage to the one with lower voltage.
I've charged 2 Sherman's at once with this thing. Just made sure they had somewhat similar charge level before plugging them in.
@@GingerOnWheels doable with similar voltages, still not worth it imo. Even a little voltage difference can fry ports
