Can wide tires be put on a zip 400 electric scooter?
Great vid! The one thing I would add to this list would be a signal light. You can add it to the back of a backpack and while night riding can add a little extra safety, the nitecore nu06 is a good option
*Great **Latest.Bike** Scooter ! I have had it for almost 2 years now and it is still working great so far! Brake and acceleration are really smooth!*
New rider here .. female 70 years young,,, still exercise with total gym and 360 max glide. Looking for rider club in my area. SF Bay Area ( Antioch, CA ) Not a off road rider. ( Hiboy Titian ) not into speed just fellowship and riding fun thank you . Really enjoy your posts. Blessings

WOW! I `m A Year Late, But This Is One Of The Best, If Not The Best Video I've Seen To Cover Pretty Much Everything For Scooters. A+A+A+A+
Outstanding job! Very thorough and informative. Your video should be watched by every rookie rider or 1st time buyer/shopper.
Agreed brother
Thank you for considering the style/appearance of everything you talk about. I wanna look cool when I scoot. Not only that, but cars and pedestrians treat you with more respect when you look like you know what you're doing.
😂
I appreciate this very well thought out guide and bought your recommendations for the helmet, goggles, phone mount, and mirror. Thanks again!
Definitely a great video coming from a 20 year bicycle mechanic background good hex tools are a must do not go cheap here they will just round the bolts out and you will have a bad day. Park, Pedros are both a great design for multi handled and T handle drivers. Also a good set of pliers and a good set of screwdrivers can definitely make or break your day and most people don’t think about or even have this knowledge. The little doctors stool for rolling around and working is absolutely wonderful.
Good tools are a must for any job however people don't see the importance and will skimp and buy dollar store tools then blame the quality of the product they're building or working on rather than the crap they are using to do the job. I was an apprentice so starting out I had some questionable quality tools at first. Some absolutely outlived their expectations But most were exactly what were, cheap. I remember buying a set of bahco drill bits for my drill and they cost alot of money for the time and my wage, but I still have them after 16 years no chips or damages, they fit bolts and screws just like new. I rounded a few screws here and there having the rong size for the job, the old saying buy cheap buy twice is so true.
More than twice over time.
This is a fantastic well-made video! Thanks for all the tips and suggestions!
Great video. Though I'd add for anything faster than 20-25 the default should really be motorcycle gloves if you can stand to wear them. People often fall and land on outstretched hands. Going 35 or 40mph on pavement, you can very easily end up with no skin on your hands and trust, that's not something you want.
I fell when i was riding in 20km/h and i scraped my hands up 🫡 and i had no helmet to im a morgon but i was lucky i didnt damage my Head😃
Can tell you out of experience, palms on pavement at 40mph is NOT a pleasant experience.
@@pizzakaktus9511at least you can admit it
I just fell at 43 mph and scraped my elbow, shoulder & wrist. I lost control by hitting a cracked concrete, btw
This is a very helpful and relaxed channel and you now have a new subscriber...im new to the electric acooter world and i just upgraded from a 19mph max speed bird scooter to a 50mph commuter scooter and channels like this help alot...thanx man
Hey there, what a great list. I have most of this stuff but took years to figure what works for this sport . Have never seen anyone put all this together. This will be great for people getting into this. Just thought of the stool the other day. Didn't want to spend 90 bucks on lift. Have a great day and ride safe.
Awesome presentation. I want to thank you for recommending the Strata goggles; used them for my ebike riding. The goggles saved my eye when I hit a small tree branch.
Been waiting for this one, like in advance 👍
Thanks hermano 👊
Fantastic guide! Great vid! Just what I needed!
Thanks mate, I am new to the world of scootering so this video helps alot!
Great video and thanks for all the links.
Hey! I'm just getting into e-scootering for my commute and for fun, to save gas money and give the wife the car, my Turboant Max7 is finally here, and this is a great list to think about! Luckily I have most of these things from my biking hobby, like the helmet, Kryptonite lock, phone mount and light and so on, but the extra bar space, longer grips, side mirror, tools and work area were good to consider also. Thanks so much for including the links!
For backpacks I have a scooter bag on the front
Great informative video and great links, Thanks
Osprey bags slap! Ive had mine for like 10 yrs and had a broken buckle and some other things. Sent them an email and the replacements were shipped for free no questions asked.
amazing video mate, cheers
This was very helpful
Amazing video man! So glad I found your chanel a few months ago. I just go my mantis 8 yesterday so the timing for this video was perfect!
When did you order the Mantis 8? I ordered mine on October 4th and haven’t gotten it yet :(
@@coryhough7134 I ordered september 3rd. There are issues with shipments being retain at the ports and Kaabo USA was just able to get theirs. Hopefully yours will come soon because the maintis 8 is on stock now.
@@grinsell056 Thank you! I’m just impatient I guess haha. Enjoy!
Awesome video. Thanks!
I love the fact that you start off with the helmet first. Current I own. Leatt brand, helmet 9.5, chest 6.5, dual axe knee guards. Elbow 6.0. leatt 6.5 goggles, and alpinestars super vented tech 10 boots. (Still looking for riding gloves and booty cheeks armor 😂.)
Great video!
Thank you bro for very nice video ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Great video, Those are all information we wanna know🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙
Great Vid! Think you missed the aftermarket handlebar option here thats what I’m looking for my Warrior X I dont know if the 31.8 mtb handlebar will fit in there. Hope you can make some videos regarding handlebar options too! Though this vid really helps everyone looking for upgrades and tool essentials.
Always Always alaways great information, brilliant video man...... Someone get this guy more subs....how can he be under 10k?
Great vid 👌
awesome Content!
Outstanding video! 👏
Where are you located? The scenery in this video is amazing! 😍
I like the fifty-fifty grips I got for my scooter and love the increase in handlebar width. Now I just need that for my ebike but got the half twist throttle issue I want to find ones like that for that set up that still extends the bar width for that bike.
I’m starting a new job with a much nicer expectation on dress code (not like a suit and tie, but rolled cuff denim and a button up) I think I’ll end up getting the jacket you mentioned because it can go over my shirt but stick with the denim pants like you mentioned and some pads over them. I appreciate this video so much, I’ve been riding for a couple months now but my commute is only 5 minutes to work and most stores, so extending my commute made me really need to think about accessorizing.
Can you do one about rain gear? Like ponchos/cape that is big enough to cover the rider and the handle bars, dual sport helmets, and anything else that can help when we have no choice but to commute in the rain? I live in Florida, so when it's rainy season it's very unpredictable.
I would not ride an E scooter in the rain if I were you... Few warranties cover water damage. You're better off using the shared ones.
@@javascriptkiddie2718 that can become more costly and I’m not always in a city with that service. That’s why I want a poncho to cover me and the scooter and only in light rain where I can still see. Most of the time if it’s raining I will just get an Uber or Lyft.
Good Item
I just bought my first scooter Segway ninebot Max G2 and looking to stock up on accessories. Thank for sharing.
What have you got so far? I'm looking to order the G2 soon
You should add self defense products. Depending on where you live, a ccw and pepper spray. Pocket knife and a Leatherman multitool. Premier body armour also sells flexible lightweight bullet proof inserts you can easily fit into your Oakley backpack.
Great video and you really covered alot. I just picked up my second scooter, Hiboy Titan, and I was looking for a guide on gear. Thanks for putting this together and you have my sub.
Awesome selection here! just wanted to say on the helmet standpoint, after around the $1200 on scooter prices, the speeds you get to often warrant a motorcycle helmet, if for nothing else than keeping the wind off your face. I would highly recommend the Icon Airform for an affordable, good quality helmet. For 160 bucks, its saved my head a few times now from wipeouts.
Is a bicycle helmet enough for 18mph scooter?
@@kurukiddo As long as it has MIPS then it should be fine. Bell makes a few good MIPS helmets for good prices. My personal scooter (Emove Cruiser) gets up to about 35 mph, so it wouldn't be smart for me, but it should be perfect for you.
Kaabo Wolf King GT Pro has excellent stock lights.
Great video, I bought a motorcycle helmet but i should've went with a mountain bike instead, it looks more comfortable.
Yo Can you please make a video on the varla pegasus talking more in depth about brake pad alignment and tuning
I couldn't agree more about your need for a side mirror when starting.
Can you recommend any socks or hair ties for riding?
I have a bicycle kit pack, where even where I keep my repair kit, it large enough for me to take my drink and/or food. It is attached to the stalk, and can be unclipped when not scooting
Great video! I'm an ebike rider and was thinking to get an electric scooter to compliment my rides. What is your opinion on those little air compressor battery operated pumps you see on Amazon or elsewhere?
started with the gotrac both I bought from target what do u think about the bird flex the one that goes 18 mph and it only goes 15 miles on a full charge.tell me everything you know about Xmasgnj
I would like to put a back rack on my evercross. what are the best options for cargo?
Have you changed any of the scooter handlebars I’m still trying to find a good combo width and handlebar grips
For the grips, do they also fit for twistgrip throttle or whatever you call them?
Damn you really did the whole list. Really informative and well done video.
Hi RK9 i don’t know if you know but do you think the RaceFace Half Nelson Locking Grips will work with the iSinwheel Electric Scooter, it like the Hiboy S2 Electric?
So If I wanted to upgrade grips and I wanted the turn signals. I would assume I have to cut the ends off my new grips?
Do you think the Smith Mainline with Oakley Airbrakes will work?
Phone mount grips and light recomendations for a ks3 pro?
Yo where did you get the foam tires for the eagle one?
If you opt to go with a Lumos helmet, they have turn signals on the helmet.
Hi, can you advise about mirrors?
im planning to get an electric scooter i dont know which one to get and what to get with it so im just watching your videos
they help me out a ton man keep it up
Well, I’m good on helmets. I bought the giro since I needed a new helmet for biking, not even scooting.
O light 1500 I my favorite light it’s a real 1500 lumen light and can be run off a portable charger for extra battery
cool
I never leave my scooter very far from me and I ride a very lightweight kickscooter... so instead of a heavy lock ... I bought a kensington lock and added a port on my scooter... it super lightweight but enough to keep someone from just walking off with it if I turn around for a second
About the handlebar storage bag, are they safe? I man, how they attach to the scooter? Can it be easily removed from it or they'll need a tool if want to stole it?
Thank you for the advice
Suprised you didn't mention a portable electric pump. I have a small one of these and i absolutely love it. No effort, instant filling the tyres to psi of your choice. Can't go wrong with it.
Otherwise - nothing to complain. I agree with pretty much everything. If there is one thing we should be happy about - abundance of options for every price bracket.
Electric bike pumps are worth the money and you can't go wrong with patch kits
The Xiaomi rechargeable, battery-powered one is a really great, hidden gem in my opinion. Battery lasts for ages and it has enough power to even fill up car tires/tubes. With its digital sensor putting in pressure values is really easy!
Are there any good accessories for non electric (kick) scooters
😢 Trying so hard to find a front fork (even if made for a different brand) that has the same center stem diameter to fit into the steering bearing of my KQI3 MAX.. I can modify most any sort of difference between the EXCEPT for the precision needed for the steering stem of the front fork. Finding measurement specs for all models before making a purchase that I can then further modify at home has been nigh impossible. Wish I could take my micrometer and just walk through an aftermarket front suspension aisle at a supplier warehouse. I'm sure that there's something out there that will have the right diameter.
Do u recommend motocross shoes or motorcycle shoes?
Anything over 25mph has tobe a motorcycle helmet, mountain bike full face helmet will not survive impact, anytme you do crash and hit helmet you need to replace helmet
Can I use slime for a tubeless pneumatic tire (kaabo mantis 8)? Or is it only for tubes?
There is slime for tube and tubeless tires. It will say on the bottle which type it is.
@@andyb113 Hey, thanks!

Hey, as you show with its Amazon page, the Bell Servo is not DOT Motorcycle rated. It's meant for BMX riding, aka under 20mph. Very unsafe if you crash wearing that going 60.
Edit: neither is the FOX Rampage. You're looking at BMX and bicycle helmets, which are only rated and tested up to 20mph. You should be looking at motorcycle helmets.
Edit 2: look at 4:03. The Amazon description even says "not rated for motorized use". Careful!
Yup. I recommend leatt helmets. I have both the leatt 4.0 & 8.5. 8.5 is a bit heavier & less ventilation but more protection, but the 4.0 has better ventilation, good protection but much more lightweight
2:54 how is that possible to fall there
those signal lights are dangerous if you dont have a steering dampener
You should have mentioned Armordilloz
Yo videos slap on x1.25 speed
I NEED HELP!!! I have an emove cruiser 2021. I CANNOT get rear tire one the rim!!!!!!!! It is usually impossible!!!!!!!! I am soooo mad, and there are absolutely 0 videos on how to do it on emove cruiser. And if you gonna tell me about the video from vero or voro or what ever they name is I already watched these videos like 1000× it's stupid and basically of no help at all!!!!!!!! I need some one who have worked on emove cruiser rear tire before tell me some things that can help me, because I am losing it!
Letting the tire sit in some hot water for a bit before adding soapy water to the inside where it slides over the rim usually helps out

Bell Super 3R miss is 2 in one helmet I really don't know why you tubers don't talking more but it has chin guard wich is tested and also you have DH wersion wich is much stronger. I hawe Bell super 3R and it cost 200€ on sail but its beter than normal helmet for 100€ and its DH wersion cost also around-200€ and too mee DH is litle hewier but loock at crash test so you will see that helmet is unbelievable and you need only one. How about practice using the scooter for months and no the scooter inside out and always be a step ahead of pedestrians and traffic...its called anticipation and awareness 100% and very good vision and judgment and the more shit u carry on it the harder it is to control
Good video, but when more than half the video is about things that arent what the title describes, I'd have to say that's it's misleading.
I disagree.
@@qland Okay, so then how are pants a scooter accessory?
@@TheGamersRace because you wear them while riding - I get your point, but a scooter accessory doesn’t strictly mean it’s attached to the scooter, it can also be for the rider. Scooter accessories can include gear like as padded pants, helmets, gloves, and other protective equipment. While some accessories are designed specifically for the scooter itself (like mirrors, lights, or phone mounts), rider gear is equally important for safety and comfort.
@@qland I mean it kind of does. That would be a riding accessory. Those are all rider accessories, which is fine to promote and review, but that's not a scooter accessory. It's a rider accessory, or as you put it, rider gear. There is a clear distinction between the two.
