I love how dead serious you are in this 😂😂 damaged hair is no joke!
Seriously man thank you for existing you explain things in a way that I can understand and I’m so glad that I found your channel. Keep doing amazing work. ❤❤❤
Your hair ALWAYS looks beautiful.. I love it that dark 💕.
Your hair tutorials are seriously next level. Your give such sound advice that is so easy to understand/follow. As a trained professional it is often hard to break things down for a lay person….you do that perfectly! Gold star for you, Sam Vay 🌟
EXCELLENT EXCELLENT advice SAM! You nailed it perfectly and telling the advice in a straightforward, no nonsense, speaking to the average Joe, what, how, and not to do. It is imperative to do this, exactly. I’m a hairstylist, 20 plus years and have seen major catastrophes from clients wanting to change from dark, to blond, to red, to blond. To this day, just thinking about them, make me sweat lol.
Yesss sam!!! Love this advice as been there many of times 😂❤❤❤❤
Thanks for the tips! Always love your videos! ❤ Hope you have a great day!!
Thank you so much :) I hope you do too!!
My 18 year old daughter needs to do this. This child 🤦♀️. First off she had black box dye…. And I paid close to $700 for 2 separate color correction sessions cause she wanted to go blonde. So for her senior pics…. The girl did an amazing job…. She got her BLONDE… perfect!! That was August. Well it’s December - and can I tell u this kid box dyed it brown again…. 😢 I’m done lol…. She’s killin me… she’s killin me … she’s killin my wallet 😂🤣. Never again until she has her own $ will I get her hair done professionally- she can’t keep her mind straight as to what she wants
Oh no! Sounds like me when I was younger, except I didn't have any money, so I always did it myself at home... hence why I have so much knowledge on this subject lol!! Once she has to pay for it herself and realizes how expensive it truly is to get corrected, it'll probably change her mind.
Funny thing is after going blonde it would've been easy to use toner (demi permanent color) to go brown and it will fade over time and be so much easier and less likely to get damaged when she inevitably wants to go back blonde. That's the beauty of going to a professional.
Hi! I used to be exactly like your daughter when I was her age, i box dyed my hair at home all throughout high school and even tried to give myself highlights at home once. My hair has been almost every color you can think of, blonde, ginger, bright red, various shades of brown and black; and sometimes 2 or 3 of those colors at once 😅😂 when I tell you the amount of stress I put on my poor mother when I would mess up tragically and cry and beg her to get it fixed… that woman is truly a saint. But she was the same as you. Once I turned 18 she was was like “you’re old enough to learn from your mistakes and try and fix them yourself” and let me tell you… we do learn. I promise it won’t be forever 😂
Olaplex has always been my wholly grail product. I have curly highlighted hair and straightened my hair for 5 years until decided to go back to my curls, now two years later with the help of Olaplex I’m loving my curls but curly hair is much more difficult to take care off than straight hair. So I use all the olaplex products and the treatments every other week and my hair loves it!! But like you said it takes time and patience no heat and no flat iron. 😊
I love this kind of videos ❤❤❤❤❤
Hi Sam I loved this video it was to much good information for us who color hair thanks.
The lighting and everything in this video looks great! Olaplex saved my hair when it was gummy after going platinum… I still had a chemical haircut, but I was able to cut it to around the shoulders and save what hair was left.
Amen!! Same here! Ahhh the chemical cut lol! That used to be my signature look hahaha, but I haven't had one of those in a while, thank god.
I used to have dead split ends & I never took care of my hair. I bit the bullet & shave my hair now after 2 years it’s growing healthier now I give it TLC
That's the best way to hit restart! I love women with shaved heads, I'm sure it looked beautiful and so badass on you!
Good tips! 👍
I would love to have u work on my natural curly hair. Wish you would do a video on natural curly hair and products
TThank you Sam!
Thank you so much 🙏
This video is gonna save some lives 😂
Girl I needed this in 2015 when I was in cosmetology school ( I was a nail tech only) 😢😂 girl FRIED my hair off all at the top where I part my hair & the bottom was like gum 😅
I didn’t learn though & I continued to fry my hair at home until about a year ago. 😂😂 I just chop it off every single time. I literally will never learn.
What are you wearing on your lips? They looks so pretty 😊
I recently got a color correction, and went from black box dye to blonde 😭😂 let just say my hair is definitely a bit compromised. When its dry its normal, but when its wet its scary...like its very stretchy and wants to snap off. And my stylist has me doing almost exactly what u said in this video and its definitely helped a lot. I only wash my hair once a week. And before i wash it i use the olaplex #3 treatment and let it sit for at least an hr before washing it out with shampoo and conditioner. And then when i get out i very gently towel dry it and put in the olaplex #6 leave in treatment. But the only thing i do differently from the video is i blow dry it after the treatment. I dont brush it at all while its wet and i really gently blow dry it. My stylist told me by leaving it wet it can be prone to breakage so drying it as soon as possible is better than leaving it wet. Plus it always feels/looks better when blown dried vs leaving it to air dry. But like i said just be super careful when doing so and use low heat :)
Awesome tips! Thanks for sharing so much info with us! ♥ Jenny
Have U tryed K18???
olaplex does really work! i asked how i could save my hair a few weeks ago and you recommended no3, my hair was about %60 less stringy after like 2-3 weeks (2-3 washes). unfortunately then i left it in my hotel in a trip so i don't have it now 😅 but thank you for that! it's weird that my hair still kept up the strength since then. i thought it would be back to its original state...
As long as you don't do anything to damage it further, you should be good! :) So glad it worked for you!
Where do you get your Huggies earrings for your stack?
Thanks!!
Aussie 5 min miracle is good too
I like the redken acidic bonding treatment better than the olapex no.3
Hi Sam, I've been meaning to ask this as I see you're super knowledgeable. At the beginning of this year I bleached the underneath of my hair and I did a money piece, in the front. I went to the salon, they were bleached and then the lady didn't tone it, she just applied color to it. After a few weeks I started getting really frizzy and tangled hair at the back of my head (it's only in one place, at the back and like, on the top of my head). Mind you, this side of the hair hasn't been bleached, it's my natural hair. But since I got that hair bleached and blonde I started having this problem. I tried hydrating masks but I still keep having this problem and it's super annoying and it decreases the confidence in myself...Do you perhaps have any tips on what to try? Would olaplex be a good solution for this too? *my hair is short, like yours now, it's wavy, somehow thick, and usually greasy
Yes, the Olaplex treatment would be great! I would also get the Olaplex No. 6 leave in conditioner and apply that to the frizzy parts after your hair is dry.
@@styledbysamvay so you would recommend the shampoo, conditioner and the leave in conditioner, all three or just the leave in? thank you so much for the recommendations
@@iolandahope9766 the shampoo isn’t great. The olaplex 3 is good.
I can't got that long worth my hair like this... I need help. Hair won't dry, it's 2 toned overprocessed
hey so i recently colored my hair darker than i was i made an impulsive decision and now i regret it and im unable to fix it by the salon i went to because they said my hair is over processed so you have any tips or suggestions for me until im able to color it again .i love your channel
Thank you! You can use the Malibu CPR treatment (on Amazon). It’s a clarifying treatment that will help pull SOME of the color out, without bleaching or damaging your hair in any way. After that, continue being really gentle and taking good care of it until it’s healthy enough to color again. You can also wash with a clarifying shampoo on occasion to help the color fade more. But DO NOT bleach it anytime soon 🙏
Olaplex saved my hair but now it just doesn't do anything 😢😢 and my Hair is damaged at the moment
I feel so heartbroken because I got my hair done professionally done and my hair is gummy when wet and I have my graduation coming up so soon. I need to shower and style it but now I feel that I can’t because it’s so fragile. I am so crushed. I have curly hair and my curls are completely gone. I feel so sad you guys I don’t know what to do now. I was so excited to get it done and now I regret everything. My hair looks so frizzy I don’t know what to do for graduation now
Should you hair be clean prior to applying Olaplex #3
I wash my hair before and after olaplex 3. It gives better results than spraying it with water.
Should I use Olaplex0° with the 3?
Not necessary :) The No 3 on its own works!
Today they burnt my hair at the salon...im cryingggg
What if it's just extremely dry? Nothing is working.
I love the Joico K Pack shampoo and conditioner and the conditioning treatment from that line! Give those products a try :)
My hair is blonde and crusty I can’t even comb it 😂
