You're saving me so much money, I bought everything olaplex in desperation it's so much healthier but now I know I don't have to buy literally everything to keep it like this Thank you so much
if im being honest what u said abt the olaplex #3 making ur hair feel 90% good is true, but i also bought the olaplex #8 and it made my hair feel like 100% and virgin again
Yes I love it!! I’m a stylist I believe step 1 & 2 (salon-only steps) + 3 & 8 are the most beneficial! The styling products are mostly good for helping you be as gentle as possible with it
@@itskashkashi no i didnt, i used them depending on how my hair looked like. if my hair felt damaged or loss of protein i would use #3. but if my hair was just frizzy but not too dead i would use #8 :-) i would do them on different days just 2 be safe but don’t do it too often as well it can cause moisture/protein overload
@@HaileyKlatt glad u agree!! im not a stylist but i color my hair a lot and people always come 2 me for advice when their hair is damaged and i always recommend those two products if they’re hair needs a fix n they see good results :P
As a natural-haired black woman with thick and long hair, l use the entire system, which made my hair look amazing. My silk press lasted the entire month with silky results and less frizzing. I do not use purple shampoo at all. I prefer the regular one and the clarifying one. I now use only the Olaplex system.
@@c.s.1227 Yes, 0-9. I haven't gotten the salon treatment yet, but I use all the other products on wash day. I am straight natural and I can say I haven't gotten heat damage yet using Olaplex once a month on silk press days. Plus, my hair stays straighter longer. I get a lot of compliments on how soft, shiny, and silk my hair is!
Thank you so much for sharing. I have a relaxer in my hair as a black woman with Afro textured hair. I had a stylist put colour in my hair and now it’s dry, damaged and frizzy which is upsetting. I have bought the Numbers 0, 3, 4 & 5. I am hoping my hair will recover
You literally saved my hair !!! I was about to chop it all off and then one of your videos popped on my home page !! Can’t thank you enough !!! Bless the hair gods you’re one of them !
Number 3 completely changed my hair in one use - I was astounded. I thought it might be a fluke, but no - I have been using it for a few months now and my hair has never ever been so soft, shiny and easy to manage. I usually have wild curls that turns to frizz and I straighten (a lot!) It got into a horrible mess during the lockdowns, totally dry and would snap off with brushing, straightening or just washing. Now it looks and feels amazing. I’ve been using it for a while but I’m still shocked every time I pass a mirror 😆
@@MC-yp5rk so once a week I’ll leave it in for about an hour (I can’t use it overnight because my cat sleeps at the top of my bed and I don’t think he needs an Olaplex treatment! He’d get it on him and I’m worried about chemicals) and then mid-week I’ll do a ten to twenty minute treatment, mainly because my hair is so shiny afterwards! To be honest there’s not much difference in effect - when it says it works in ten minutes, it really does.
I should add - I just added number 7 - the oil - to my routine and again, it’s amazing. My hair has never been so soft and shiny, plus it doesn’t make my hair look greasy
Sorry but I need more specifics. I don’t even heat style or color but my texture is rough so I really need help. I know lots of people use it differently so can you say if you use pre or post shampoo, with or without a conditioner, and leave in or rinse out? Any other suggestions and I’m all ears. I’m so happy you’ve had good outcomes! I’m ready for shiny, manageable hair. Thank you 😊
@@amperage8032 so I don’t colour my hair, but you can use Olaplex on any hair type as just day to day brushing, weather etc can break the bonds in your hair - so you can get the benefits even if you don’t use colour or heat. I’ve tried it two ways - once before shampooing and also after shampooing (I then use 3, then shampoo again and condition). This method worked way better for me - if you don’t shampoo first, Olaplex is going to have to get through any layers of product, pollution or oil before it can get to work on your hair. So I’d say shampoo a little, use 3, wait for 10-20 minutes, then shampoo and condition like normal. Let me know if you have any other questions!
Thank you I had a feeling about this truth when I purchased #3 only … it’s really helped my fine hair. I use the #7 styling oil too.. it’s lite and effective. I hope my comments help others especially with fine hair 👱🏻♀️
Wow, I never knew that it wouldn’t get your hair back to 100%. Although in hindsight it makes sense, I always thought I was doing something wrong. You are so refreshing to watch and with such straightforward advice, thank you 💜
Been using No. 3 since 2016 and it’s been a game changer! My go to after I do any bleaching & toning at home so that my hair isn’t vulnerable. It really makes the biggest difference in not just locking in each strand of hair, but it helps eliminate split-end fly aways that are due to heat tools & blow drying without heat protection, hair bands, and not brushing correctly dry or wet.
@@princess4aking I started using olaplex no.3 about 3 weeks ago, and I’m extremely careful about how I go about using it. I make sure to wash my hair with a clarifying shampoo before I apply olaplex, so that whatever products i used on my hair are washed off and won’t interfere with the olaplex chemicals. I apply only a quarter of the bottle, 25ml, to only the parts of my hair that have been bleached, leave it on for no longer than 20 min and make sure to wash all of it completely out of my hair before I condition my hair. If anything, olaplex has softened my hair and reduced breakage by a LOT!
1 month ago my hair was heavily damaged by a Brazilian blowout and honestly, I thought I had no choice except to cut it. But then I decided to try No 3 and it fully repaired my hair in just two weeks! And now, after one month, it looks even better than I ever had. Love it sooo much. Added also No 0 to my routine, but the whole bottle finished after 6 rituals. It helped to recover my hair faster, but not sure if I will buy it again considering the price per use.
Love this! as a cosmetologist and salon owner myself I appreciate the information and that you are not trying to push the whole product line like a lot of people would and that you’re just telling the truth of what you have found. I personally think that one through three are fairly close in efficacy tho they all do a lot just my opinion but I love to see other peoples findings .😊 salon is beautiful
Thank you so much. I went to a new hair dresser and over processed and I already had thin hair and now I have 1.5 inches all around my face and down my part. You’ve given me hope!!!
It took me at least a dozen videos and several blog posts to get the info this man gave in under 10 minutes. Awesome and wish I had found this first to spare myself wasting time. I bought no. 3 for myself and daughter who has now suffered extreme damage to her past rear length hair from a summer of sun and swimming. I did the method he outlined on myself first including an excellent moisturizing mask at the end after shampooing out and my hair has never looked better. Then I did the same thing to my daughters hair and I can already see a huge improvement in how it looks and feels. Because her damage was so extreme (and will need inches cut off) I plan on using it 2x a week on her hair with a moisturizing mask between and after the Olaplex treatments.
@@BlowoutProfessor Just stumbled on your amazing channel and posted a reply to the main comments asking a question I have yet to find the answer to in regards to use of #3. Really appreciate if you may ever have a moment to take a look. Thanks so much! 💞
I have a damaged fine short hair from bleaching and permanent dye. No.3, No.4 and No.5 are effective and I already noticed a huge difference after first use! I'd say these products are value for money when used properly by the target consumers.
I bought all except 7 and 9. I’ve used the others once and WOW!!! It’s good to know that #3 is the strongest and the only one that is truly needed. Thanks for your honesty!!!
Brilliant straight talking advice thank you. I have used this method over the past week, I did leave it on overnight then washed/conditioned next morning. It works like nothing else and my hair feels like silk not straw. I will continue to use no 3.
I cannot believe the difference this made in my hair after just one use!!! Holy smokes. Had my hair lightened/colored and it felt like straw afterwards. Man oh man, straw no more!!! Thank you thank you THANK YOU!! ❤
I notice a massive difference if I use Olaplex no.8 as the mask after shampooing, in addition to no.3. So i would politely disagree that only using no.3 is best for all hair. I've tried both ways (just using no.3 vs using no.3 and no.8), and every single time I skip no.8 I can tell that my hair is dryer.
Thank you for your honesty and this amazing video. My favorites are number 3 and 8 and I totally agree you do not have to buy the whole range. The number 0 is not necessary to use as a primer before number 3, my hair is so thick that I only got three uses out of the 0 bottle so it was not cost effective. Water to pre damp before number 3 works just as well. 💕🇨🇦🇬🇧
Ha, I've always just used no 3. I also wondered if I was fooling myself. But I wasn't, was I? I've always operated very much along the lines this man suggests, for my hair.
Chris, another excellent video. If I use Redken acidic bonding concentrate once a week can I use Ola Plex three as another treatment in a few days when I wash my hair again. I do wash my hair every 3 to 4 days.
I just bought the whole line 0-9. My hair is curly but very damaged. I’ve been straightening my hair for over 3 yrs straight! The only time I had my hair curly was after my weekly wash! I decided to embrace my curly hair and try to get it back to some kind of healthy. Haven’t tried the products yet thank you for the information!
I highly recommend you - if you haven't heard of it - to get to know the Curly Girl Method (CGM) that works for lots of curly and wavy ones just like me. ☺️ If you decide to follow the method it can be useful to know that only Olaplex 0-3 are CGM-friendly products, the rest contain either sulfates or silicones or other components that aren't good for every curly/wavy hair. I wish you good luck for becoming curly again! ☺️
@@Ashleyandwade2014 at this moment I caved in a straighten it. As far as olaplex I agree the only products I saw a difference was 0&3 the shampoo and conditioner caused a lot of fall out so I stopped using it. The curls on my crown is by far the hardest to get it to curl. The hard part is not being able to get a 3-4 day curly wash without wanting to wash from all the products I have to put in to not be frizzy. When I straighten it I use heat protection and a bit of oil and it lasts me 5 days longer if I’m lazy.
@@kstefi thank you. I’m still trying to find what works best for my curly hair. I did cave in a straighten it but felt guilty and washed it. I agree that only 0&3 was the only products that worked for my curly hair.
i have extremely damaged hair and i had the no 3 at home. like you said. i used it ONE time and the hair felt so much healthier, thicker and softer. thank you for this video (cause i thaught i need more products of this range..)
Thank you for the video and for being so clear and honest. I use Olaplex 3 for over 6 months now and I would say that if you use styling products, I would recommend washing hair before applying Olaplex 3 for better absorption and efficiency because buildup of products can stop Olaplex working properly. So I wash my hair once before applying Olaplex 3, then leave it overnight and in the morning I wash out again with 1 shampoo and then condition or use hair mask. I hope it helps.
I bought Olaplex 3 on Facebook marketplace for $10 a bottle yesterday, and when I say I was SHOCKED when I realized the difference it made when I woke up this morning
Ola plex changed the DNA of my hair! I don't know what to do with my hair anymore! ( in a good way) its less frizzy its so soft, its not sucking all the moisture from the humidity outside.. incredible
Wow! What an amazing gentleman. I love his honesty straight up no BS here. This is exactly what I need it to hear for my natural curly hair to get it back to healthy looking.
Honestly, I use and own all Olaplex products (excluding 1 and 2). I used to be a product junkie and would ALWAYS try new products to see what works best for me. Only using Olaplex has helps me stray away from purchasing products just to try them out. Their system works GREAT for me. The only other brand I use is Kenra for some other products, but it’s kept my hair care products to the literal minimum. My closet used to be filled with hair products I’ve purchased and never completed. My family has been taking them off of my hands, so luckily they’re not going to waste. Lol Also, Olaplex has helped my hair tremendously. Just wanted to let that be known as well.
I agree. He basically said…you can use all of the styling products, so they are good. Then, he recommends 3, which is also great. 4 and 5 was not a peck heavy on my very, very fine hair, so I’m my opinion that are great…I haven’t used them long enough for them to feel heavy…but, it is a clarifying shampoo so imm not sure how it can be heavy. 0 is a prep for 3, and I tend to need a oil no matter what, so to be honest I’m inclined to agree the entire line is awesome.
@@patriciakeats1621 my hair is super fine since having keratin treatment twice last year and I was thinking the same...maybe some heaviness would be a good thing for my hair...I have #3, 8 and hair oil..was thinking about getting shampoo/conditioner when I run out of my Aveda stuff which is not that helpful for my messed up hair!
My stylist was able to get me the olaplex 4 in 1 moisture mask. Apparently you can’t get it unless you have a cosmetology license. It’s THE best product they have for repairing. Even better than #3
Thank you Chris! Planning to grab me some Olaplex 3 today and start my repair routine this week. I started using hair oil last week and my ends already look and feel so much better!
N.3 is the game changer but I assure you that I tried it alone and then in combination with the other Olaplex products, especially washing your hair beforehand with the 4C shampoo makes a difference.
Thank you for explaining hair basics, so I stopped wasting money!! It's so frustrating when you don't know what the truth is! Your honesty is so refreshing! Now, if I could only find someone like your for skin care and makeup!
this is amazing to me...i have used Olaplex #3 in the past.....washed my hair, rinsed, then left it on for 10 minutes....my fine hair was way too soft & fly away to do anything with. as i started watching Chris, i bought more Olaplex today, put it on prior to shampooing, let set for 10 minutes, then did regular shampoo. Amazing...hair feels good & is manageable. I will continue on this journey for the next 6 weeks for further improvement. Who knew????
I knew immediately it was #3. I use it weekly and I LOVE it. However I clarify my hair first, then use #3, then wash agin with a gentle shampoo. Results are amazing!! Verbiage below from Olaplex website in regards to washing hair. DO I HAVE TO WASH MY HAIR BEFORE A N°.3 TREATMENT? Generally, no, you do not need to shampoo before using N°.3. However, if you have a lot of product on your hair, it is always a good idea to cleanse the hair before your treatment. Use your best judgment.
I usually don't leave comments on UA-cam unless someone deserves my time. Every time I watch your video. I say the same thing. This man is always straight to the point and very honest. Wait and handsome hahaha... Thank you very much!!..
I only use Olaplex products to simply my hair care regimen. Yes, it may be a ploy for me to purchase their products, however, they work well together. I’ve tried countless products to maintain healthy hair or repair damage. Trying new products gets tiring and I used to be so open to trying products from different manufacturers. Now I don’t even bother. I just keep it simple with the Olaplex lineup and a once a month deep cleanse with Kenra’s clarifying shampoo. I never could have imagined my hair process being as simple as it is now since starting Olaplex. It works for me. May not for others and that’s ok too.
I can totally second what he said. I used olaplex 3 for the first time last week. My hair is damaged because I went from brown to blond, it made a huge difference. it is good to know that I do not need the rest :D
I had hip-length limp noodle hair and it was back to virgin quality using no3 in a month and a half after I got totally scammed at a sketchy salon (that had a beautiful location). I kept my hair that long for two years before deciding to chop it. I LOVE olaplex.
Only 3 days of #3 usage, my hair has stopped breaking off, and it is so silky. I am so happy I listened to you and not bought all of it. Saved me so much money but saved my hair
New subscriber here!! Love the no-nonsense, just the facts approach! No attempting to sell products, just the advice of a good friend!! Would love to see you in FL! All the Best in 2023!!
Wow! New to your channel. Sitting at doctor’s office. I was going to purchase 4 & 5 yesterday, but I said I will wait until today. So glad I waited. Thank you for the awesome information! New follower!
The #3 is the retail “ made for the public” … The Olaplex ingredients are in every product. There is NO way to overuse. It will never build up. The 1 & 2 are for Pros only. The shampoo and conditioner is used incorrectly most of the time. ALL you need is a pea to a dime size of the shampoo and you MUST emulsify in your hands with a bit of water, Then apply and wash as usual. If you use 0 and 3 together its best. Using #3 is a great maintenance but it does NOT take the place of the Professional complete treatment.
Omg you saved my hair!! ❤ I used the olaplex number 3, four times and my hair is really shiny now.. I bleached my hair 3 months ago and it was so bad, I still have breakage but it looks much better 🥰
I usually don't buy everything people try to sell us on UA-cam or any other social media. But your channel seems very professional and honest, so I'm following your advice. I've bought Olaplex 3 today , can't wait to try it on my hair ! 😀 Edit: After my first use of Olaplex 3, gotta admit.... I 'm terribly disappointed. I used it exactly the way I should : washed my hair with water only first, put Olaplex 3 on it and left it for 50 min, then shampooed it, applied my usual mask, and a leave-in conditionner after. I straightened my hair with an iron as usual , and guess what? Not only I didn't see any improvement on my hair , but it actually felt a lot more dry than usual... 😔 I was expecting at least my tips to look healthier , but no, it looked in a mess. I hope it's because I need to apply it several times before I can see some good results. Will update after more uses. I have Moroccan hair, quite curly and a bit dry, but usually after oiling my hair and using a mask , it looks way better than what I got after Olaplex 3. Edit 2: I tried it a second time on my hair and basically got the same underwhelming result. But gonna be honest : I tried it on my sister's hair , which is thicker than mine and also more dry: it gave beautiful results on her ! Her hair became softer, brighter and easier to style ! I guess it does work, but it really depends on the texture of your hair!
You should try this method: wash your hair with shampoo before you put in no 3. Make sure you hair is towel dry when you massage it in and wear a shower cap while it is on your hair for 45min, so it doesn’t dry out.
@@soude85 thank you for the piece of advice. Saddly, I did wear a shower cap while Olaplex 3 was on my hair . And judging by how dry my hair was after using it , I think it would have been even worse if I had used shampoo before. I'll use it again next week and see how it goes this time...
@@Icecreamobsessed Ah, so I'm not the only one who experienced it. It's really underwhelming, especially given the price and all the positive feedbacks on this Olaplex 3. I watched so many videos before buying it, hope I won't regret it.
I agree with Chris! My bathroom covers full of so many different brands of hair products and my hair never felt good or look good. When I go to the beautician she does all the opposite of what Chris does and demonstrate. How she blow dry my hair. My hair gets so frizzy so now I tell her not to dry my hair. Thank you Chris
You got a new subscriber, very good video! I love Olaplex so is great that you tell us which one works better 😀 I bought the whole system but mostly only use number 3, number 8 and the purple shampoo one time a week so agree I’ve seen lots of improvement in my bleach hair 🙌
Wow that was simple and concise and not trying to promote lots of unnecessary products. Which are also expensive. I will be using your advice thank you so much 😊
This is the advice I was looking for. I was so confused about all the olaplex products and I wanted to know which was actually the strongest. I know that 1 and 2 are the strongest but are for salon use only . I thought olaplex 0 was the strongest of the home use products but just a weaker version of olaplex 1 . Before now I didn't understand why we needed to apply it before using olaplex 3. But I realise now that olaplex 3 needs to be applied to wet hair so olaplex 0 could just be water but as they wanted us to pay for another product hence olaplex 0 was created. Thank you for your helpful videos your advice saves us time and money and hopefully a chance of having better hair.
@@kmj2000 you're right olaplex 0 isn't just water. I'm sure it does have some olaplex in it but it's a weak solution so you could do without it if you are using olaplex 3 just need to make sure the hair is nicely wet beforehand.
I heard at the salon that 0 is needed before you apply Olaplex 3. It doesn’t repair your hair if you use Olaplex 3 without it. But I need so much Olaplex 0 , it’s too expensive imo.
100 100 agree, I have done this during lockdown and it worked! Trouble is I bleached my hair this summer and I am back at square one, and here I am searching and you confirm my findings. Thank you for being true
I used olaplex in the beginning of my hair journey. I used the entire line and although my hair grew my hair was dry brittle and shedding. I gave up on olaplex and tried a few products until I landed and settled with kerastase. I believe olaplex is good for some but I believe my hair did not like the ingredients
Kerastase is my fav 😂 I think when it comes to Haircare products it’s all about the scent you are more attracted to. And automatically that’s the product your hair loves and that’s the Believe in your head that you’ve found the right products for your hair!
I'm so glad I found your videos! You clearly care about hair and your clients. Thank you for your integrity and sound guidance. Love your style and frankness.🥰
While I normally agree with not needing to buy multiple products, I have to disagree with this video and will say that using both No 0 with No 3 has been GAME CHANGING for healing my bleached fine hair. I started just with No 3 when I first started bleaching my dark brown hair and it was pretty good. But nothing beats out incorporating No 0. My routine now is right after bleaching, for the entire first month, I only use Olaplex No 0 and 3 every time I wash my hair (2x a week). Make sure you wash your hair first (as recommended by Olaplex) and then microfiber towel dry til damp. Then you put in No 0 and 3. I also keep it in longer than written on the description - 1 hour for No 0, and then overnight with No 3. I wash it out the next morning and then use the proper styling products. After 1 month of doing this, I shift to switching between a purple hair mask (I like the Loreal) once a week (no purple shampoo! They're awful and fry your hair out) and then a different nourishing moisturizing mask the second wash of the week. I fill in my roots/bleach my hair every 3 months. I literally get stopped on the street all the time with people complimenting my bleached color and how it's so healthy. Hope this helps!
Ive been looking for this kind of video about olaplex for a long time. Thank you olaplex guru. Now i know i was right for using number 3 and 7 only so far. 😊 i love how confident you are when you talk. I hope you have a salon here in the bay area.
Currently have Olaplex 3 in my hair, and playing games to pass the time! Really hope this works out for my hair - the outer layer of my hair has been damaged from the years that I've spent rebonding my hair, and I've recently bleached my hair to a nice grey beige colour at the salon. 🤞🏼
@@divyajain_D.J My hair's been better! It's much more tame, I can comb through it 😂 It's too bad that I can get another bottle because it's over my budget 😅
I've started using Olaplex 3 recently, got the end cut off to where it's the strongest, and between the two, I love my thin, very fine hair. My question, Chris, is once I've used the Olaplex for 2-3 months and my hair is 90% repaired, do I continue to use it or stop unless and until it gets damaged again? Thanks for your short, direct-to-the-point videos. I love them.
Hey Karen! Great question. I would stop using the Olaplex after you stop seeing an improvement. And at that point make sure you have a good healthy hair routine down because... Your goal would then be to prevent damage instead of repairing it 👍
I love Olaplex 3. I had fantastic results. I have a natural kink on my hair around the side of my face, so coloring it really can damage it & Olaplex 3 corrected all of that.
I use Olaplex. It’s perfect. For my hair. I will spend money on my hair so I personally use entire line. Love it. Have tried others. And this is best for my dry over processed hair!
I have very curly hair and the only thing that’s helped my curls is the shampoo and conditioner-mostly the shampoo. I’ve tried the #3 a couple of times and I never noticed any difference.
Thank you, you are fantastic, straight to the point, reassuring, knowledgable and positive. I’ve literally just lost 5 inches off my hair in breakage, it just all snapped off round the front and I’m petrified. I’m pretty sure my hairdressers messed up my last colour, it wasn’t the same as usual, felt awful afterwards, and they had to redo it, but it had been fine for 2 months after, and then suddenly in the last week it suddenly started snapping, but also I started using a new heat protector that week, a very cheap brand, so I wonder if it was that? But anyway I just wanted to say thank you as I’ve been an anxious panicked wreck about it, and after watching you, I feel reassured, calm, and armed full of knowledge to try and make the best of this, and my hairs going to be ok....eventually haha...it is going to be ok isn’t it???? Haha
My hair is damaged from relaxer overlap. I have been really self conscious about it and worried about what I can do (if anything) to fix it. Thank you so much for all this great, straight forward info! No gimmick, no extras and I appreciate this video and what you do so much.
Have you guys measured this against K18 yet? Any major difference in what it does? I like Olaplex, and am seeing good results with K18 (little less time/hassle). Let me know!
I've always shaved my head, by the time I decided to grow out my hair it was too late. I decided to grow a beard, my beard was dry and would break very easy, following your advise I now have a soft beard and it's growing.
Damp is always better with all application of hair products. Yes, even with conditioners and deep conditioners (ik all the curly girls say to have it soaking wet, your hair can only take so much and it wastes product). Misting is good. Also recommend if you have thick or curly hair like mine get the n0 it will last longest, it has the highest concentration of the olaplex formula but the n3.. it n3 will go away very quickly unless you have fine hair.
Been using Olaplex for a while now and I have what's called protein overload. Hairdresser pointed out that my hair is strong, but feels dry. She recommended to use hydrating mask and take a break from olaplex.

As a natural-haired black woman with thick and long hair, l use the entire system, which made my hair look amazing. My silk press lasted the entire month with silky results and less frizzing. I do not use purple shampoo at all. I prefer the regular one and the clarifying one. I now use only the Olaplex system.
Do you use # 0 and the oil too?
@@c.s.1227 Yes, 0-9. I haven't gotten the salon treatment yet, but I use all the other products on wash day. I am straight natural and I can say I haven't gotten heat damage yet using Olaplex once a month on silk press days. Plus, my hair stays straighter longer. I get a lot of compliments on how soft, shiny, and silk my hair is!
As a black man im such a fan of the number 6 it’s def a game changer in my routine
I used Olaplex 3 and LOVED the result. I was contemplating buying the whole kit but then I ran into your video. Thank you for the advice.
How long do you leave it in?
Love #6 as it eliminates frizz and gives my hair a smooth finish
Wow, I never knew that it wouldn’t get your hair back to 100%. Although in hindsight it makes sense, I always thought I was doing something wrong. You are so refreshing to watch and with such straightforward advice, thank you 💜
Thanks Lexi 🙏
Been using No. 3 since 2016 and it’s been a game changer! My go to after I do any bleaching & toning at home so that my hair isn’t vulnerable. It really makes the biggest difference in not just locking in each strand of hair, but it helps eliminate split-end fly aways that are due to heat tools & blow drying without heat protection, hair bands, and not brushing correctly dry or wet.
Have you ever left it overnight ?
You aren’t experiencing any thinning or breakage yet?

@@princess4aking I am
0 has no right to be as expensive as the rest of the line, I loved it but not enough to buy again for that reason alone
Love this! as a cosmetologist and salon owner myself I appreciate the information and that you are not trying to push the whole product line like a lot of people would and that you’re just telling the truth of what you have found. I personally think that one through three are fairly close in efficacy tho they all do a lot just my opinion but I love to see other peoples findings .😊 salon is beautiful
How refreshing, an honest hairdresser. Thank you.
Thank you so much. I went to a new hair dresser and over processed and I already had thin hair and now I have 1.5 inches all around my face and down my part. You’ve given me hope!!!
Hey Hollie! Yes Olaplex is a life saver for overprocessed hair. Hope you get amazing results 🙏
You poor thing! 😔
Yes! That's amazing Kristi 🙏 Some Olaplex 3 and a hair mask goes a long way
@@BlowoutProfessor Just stumbled on your amazing channel and posted a reply to the main comments asking a question I have yet to find the answer to in regards to use of #3. Really appreciate if you may ever have a moment to take a look. Thanks so much! 💞
I love how you pretty honest and not overselling any brand.
I used Olaplex 3 for 2 years and got great results. But, I bought 0 when it came out and it made a huge difference!! I had new hair growing like crazy
should i buy the shampoo and conditioner ,here it sounds like no because in his other videos he recommends it i find it confusing
@@grubchenmu9956 he said it is good but it is just not his first pick. Hope this helps 🙂
From the beginning i was like why does a bodybuilder talk about olaplex?🙈😅😅🥰😅😅
Number 3! Wee bit emulsified in hands and run over ends and gently over flyaway hair is game changer! It lasts a very long time too… LOVE IT!
I started with 0 and 3 then left out the 0 after the first month and 3 by itself has been helping my hair repair goals 🙌🏼
I’d have to say 0 primed you hair to help no.3 bond. That is what 0 does.
No it's a selling point
I tried 0 with 3 and my hair still was breaking..
I love it when you do recaps!!! They're key to excellent communication and that's what you do.
Iv had this product for at least 3 months now and thanks to you I realized Im using it wrong all along.
Thank you!
Brilliant straight talking advice thank you. I have used this method over the past week, I did leave it on overnight then washed/conditioned next morning. It works like nothing else and my hair feels like silk not straw. I will continue to use no 3.
Yes Tatiana, that's amazing to hear!
The owners of olaplex said that keeping it on longer than a few hours doesn't do anything extra as it needs to be wet in order to work.
Did you only use it in the lengths and ends or also on the scalp?
I cannot believe the difference this made in my hair after just one use!!! Holy smokes. Had my hair lightened/colored and it felt like straw afterwards. Man oh man, straw no more!!! Thank you thank you THANK YOU!! ❤
I notice a massive difference if I use Olaplex no.8 as the mask after shampooing, in addition to no.3. So i would politely disagree that only using no.3 is best for all hair. I've tried both ways (just using no.3 vs using no.3 and no.8), and every single time I skip no.8 I can tell that my hair is dryer.
me too. maybe our hair was almost beyond repair so now we're stuck with all these expensive products lol
Same my hair get dry after using only no 3
I bought now redken blueset and im hoping will stop split my ends
I agree. I love using no. 3 and 8. I wonder why he doesn’t think 8 is a good mask?
@@megmariee8215I don’t think he doesn’t think it’s good I believe he thinks there are better masks out there than no. 8
Which purple shampoo do you recommend
I use number 0 in my hair dye.

I lack words to thank you and I appreciate someone speaking for the health of customer's hair and not for the brand money making side.
If you decide to follow the method it can be useful to know that only Olaplex 0-3 are CGM-friendly products, the rest contain either sulfates or silicones or other components that aren't good for every curly/wavy hair.
I wish you good luck for becoming curly again! ☺️
@@kstefi huhu no wonder no. 6 doesnt work for me..
How’s it going !?!?

( in a good way) its less frizzy its so soft, its not sucking all the moisture from the humidity outside.. incredible
What olaplex products specifically did you use?
You don’t know how much respect I have for your integrity.
Wow! What an amazing gentleman. I love his honesty straight up no BS here. This is exactly what I need it to hear for my natural curly hair to get it back to healthy looking.
I saw it, I bought it, I tried it and i love it. After first use of Olaplex my hair is back alive!
Thank you from Latvia 🇱🇻
Honestly, I use and own all Olaplex products (excluding 1 and 2). I used to be a product junkie and would ALWAYS try new products to see what works best for me. Only using Olaplex has helps me stray away from purchasing products just to try them out. Their system works GREAT for me. The only other brand I use is Kenra for some other products, but it’s kept my hair care products to the literal minimum. My closet used to be filled with hair products I’ve purchased and never completed. My family has been taking them off of my hands, so luckily they’re not going to waste. Lol
Also, Olaplex has helped my hair tremendously.
Even better than #3
Thanks! The #3 did nothing for me. I'm returning it.
Thank you Chris! Planning to grab me some Olaplex 3 today and start my repair routine this week. I started using hair oil last week and my ends already look and feel so much better!
Amazing ,!! I leave Olaplex for 45 mins to an hour but after a clarifying shampoo. I bought both 3 and 8 . Amazing combo
Hi Suzanne what questions do you have about skin care and makeup?
I tried the whole system but I really only care for number 8 the deep conditioner. It really revives my curls.
isn’t 3 the deep conditioner
@@tsuyuasui7297 n3 is a pre shampoo treatment, not a deep conditioner.
this is amazing to me...i have used Olaplex #3 in the past.....washed my hair, rinsed, then left it on for 10 minutes....my fine hair was way too soft & fly away to do anything with. as i started watching Chris, i bought more Olaplex today, put it on prior to shampooing, let set for 10 minutes, then did regular shampoo.
Did you use it once a week? Did you only leave it in for 10 mins?
New Olaplex user... I am so happy I watched your video! Olaplex saved my hair from needing to be chopped off.
Only 3 days of #3 usage, my hair has stopped breaking off, and it is so silky. I am so happy I listened to you and not bought all of it. Saved me so much money but saved my hair

Wow! New to your channel. Sitting at doctor’s office. I was going to purchase 4 & 5 yesterday, but I said I will wait until today. So glad I waited. Thank you for the awesome information! New follower!
Hey! Great timing:) Let me know how it goes 🙏
The #3 is the retail “ made for the public” …
The Olaplex ingredients are in every
product.
Edit: After my first use of Olaplex 3, gotta admit....
I find olaplex drying too. I prefer Amika the Kure. Works wonders.
You should try this method:
wash your hair with shampoo before you put in no 3.

I used olaplex in the beginning of my hair journey. I used the entire line and although my hair grew my hair was dry brittle and shedding. I gave up on olaplex and tried a few products until I landed and settled with kerastase. I believe olaplex is good for some but I believe my hair did not like the ingredients
Have you watched this channel's other video titled Do's and dont's of Olaplex?

3 is ok but the MASK!!!! TRANSFORMING!!!

Stop chasing the 100%. OMG I needed to hear that. Thank you.
Do you have any other treatment recommendations, such as from L’Oréal or Redken?
Your advice saved my hair. Thank you.
The company of olaplex left the chat.
Every word you said is so true! I have tried everything and No:3 is the only one that works for me
Have you guys measured this against K18 yet? Any major difference in what it does? I like Olaplex, and am seeing good results with K18 (little less time/hassle). Let me know!
Waste of money
I love K18
I've always shaved my head, by the time I decided to grow out my hair it was too late. I decided to grow a beard, my beard was dry and would break very easy, following your advise I now have a soft beard and it's growing.
Should your hair be completely wet before using number 3, or is it good enough to just mist it with water?
