This was so needed! Thank you for all the information and products!
A video comparing the Olaplex and K18, yes please! Love your science-based content Dr. Liu.
i'd love to see a more in-depth comparison of Olaplex and K18 too. i don't see enough reviews for K18.
This was a great class!!
I was washing my hair wrong 😬. I just learned the right way with you!
Thank you so much! ❤️
Thank you! Great info. I use K18 and Olaplex 3 also. I prefer K18. But, my bleached hair is still dry. I am going to try the moisturizing products you mentioned.
I started using Olaplex shampoo and conditioner about 6 months ago and found an improvement in my older, fragile hair. I'm losing less hair and it feels much thicker.
Glad to hear that
Olaplex no.3 is a terrific repair product. And if you are looking for repair, it is the only product you absolutely need. Check out the Blowout professor for how to use any Olaplex products - he's very straightforward and doesn't push any unnecessary products.
Stay away from K18 - the genuine reviews I've read either get nothing from the product, or worse, have tremendous drying and damage from the product!
@@charleskorecky2210 Thanks
You have no idea how much your insight is guiding a lost man.
Thanks so much! Olaplex didn't seem to do much for me, but I'll try the K-18.
Thank you very much for your video. Very interesting- a video on K18 would be great -
Very good tips. Thanks
Awesome video!
Ty💕. Can you make another video for k18 would be great.
👌👌 thank you Dr.Liu
Thanks for these tips!!
Can you please make a video on taking care of hair and using right products for someone who stays in the coastal. I mean the salt/hard water is really damaging my hair.
Thanks will appreciate it.
thank you for the thorough video. i've been curious about the difference between Olaplex and K18. if K18 is more permanent then i might ditch Olaplex 3 for K18. Olaplex 3 hasn't been bad for me but i def notice how temporary it is. i feel like the Olaplex effects fade within a couple days. it'll make my hair soft and shiny but by day two my hair looks lackluster again.
I like the Moroccanoil brand for my hair. I have curly/wavy and dry hair.
Excellent video . . . so helpful! One of the best I have seen on hair care suggestions.
Dr. Liu, you mention that your hair is coarse and straight. I have fine, thin, fragile hair. Would the products you suggest be suitable for my hair type? I would also love a video on moisture enhancing hair products vs those which are more protein based. I have read that maintaining a balance between protein and moisture is important, but am not sure how best to accomplish this. And yes, I would love a video comparing Olaplex no. 3 and K18 :-).
Thanks for much
Could you do a video on how to properly care for nails? Should we push back the cuticles or leave them be? Do we cut straight across the nail or angled? etc....Please. Thank you!
Yes will add to my list
Dr Jenny very informative thank you … would you add anything for ladies in 50s for menopausal hair 😊
shampoo as needed, deep conditioner regularly, and don’t forget sunscreen for your scalp and hair UV damage can lead to premature graying and hair loss
What’s your take or review on the Cantu deep treatment mask?
Hi, what dry shampoo will you recommend?
I known you are right
I'm quite surprised that you don't get more views. I've heard about another UA-camr who is a doctor/formulator from EU (Dr. V) that provided contents without monetized her videos and she ended up not getting promote views due to the algorithm FYI. Perhaps this is what is happening.
Please tell us what is best temperature
Science based hair care info is a great addition to skincare videos.
I'm curious about silicones and sulphates in hair care products, there is a whole trend avoiding these ingredients and I wonder if they have a point?
None of these are harmful per say sulfates can Be more trying but also depends on how it’s formulated silicon grips on to hear really well but for some individuals in the way down there fine hair so really depends
Can I put pure glycerin on my hair to moisturize it?
Everything you saying I dont use heat on my hair everything you say I do right
can you comment on K-18 vs Living Proof Triple Bond Complex vs Redken's Acidic Bonding?
Also, I'm curious if water charges and its pH break some hair bonds, is it worth it to repair them, especially for wavy, curly, coiling hair, if the breakage in bonds helps reset the hair? That is, does breaking of acidic (H+) and ionic (salt) bonds really damage hair, or is it the disulfide bonds that cause the breakage, dryness, etc of damaged hair? And if that's the case, should we be focusing on certain times of bond repair over others?
I have virgin hair , haven't done any sort of styling or dyeing . My hair type is dry so I do oil it for 2 times a week . Yet they're thin and have split ends , wht could possibly be the cause ?
Thank you Dr. Jenny Liu
I am Jennifer Liu..now married Jennifer Espinoza.
I just took your advice with K18.
Wow miracle potion!!
I had very self inflicted chemically treated hair...
I tried many products beside natural remedies. No success.H
Tried masks..and coconut oil.
This product after 1 time changed my dried coarse hair to soft and pliable glossy hair. So pleased with the reults😚
Can we use these hair products if hair has seborric dermatitis problem and they get rough after using all medicated shampoo
I'm now hopeless because I did a lot of research on how to fix damaged hair and the answers were always damaged hair is irreversible. I used to have a healthy, long, straight hair but it's now extremely damaged, dry, frizzy, and looks the worst. My hair is damaged because I once used a product and it made my hair fall unusually and it started to go wrong from that point on. I tried to use the products that I once used when I had healthy hair but it doesn't work anymore.
trimming the damaged hair does the work for you ? I got my hair overprocessed and damaged 7 months back and was experiencing severe hairfall so shaved it but had the same problems with the new grown hair too...it was very weak thin and dry and the hairshedding is the same.....please help im too young for all of this, 21M .....does minoxidil repair damaged hair ?
Have you considered diet, including b vitamins and fat soluble vitamins, essential fatty acids and amino acids? Also, have you considered a consult for micro-needling treatments for scalp? Best of luck to you!
Is there any reason why my hair is shedding like crazy when I use conditioner?
You might be putting it on your scalp?!
Omg Briogeo worked for me… for one time but ironically, even though it doesn’t contain any sulfates, it felt SO dry and bitter after rinsing it off. I love the idea but I couldn’t work with the bitter feeling after shampooing
Totally and this is where you just have to find one that works well for you
So should I dry my hair intensely with a towel?
Or leave it drying slowly in a towel?
Sorry sister non english
At my most recent salon appointment my hair was washed for the first time with Olaplex shampoo and conditioner. The next morning I began experience extreme scalp tingling and itchiness. 3 months later I am still experiencing these symptoms, although the intensity has subsided. It is heartbreaking and I am at a loss as to the right repair method for my scalp. I am someone who never used product, hair dryers or hair dye. My hair and scalp was healthy and dandruff free.
People are suing olaplex for the problems you are having. Google it..🙏
silk is a fibre, and satin is a weave... purchase a silk or poly satin weave pillowcase.
Hair needs a shampoo to especially if you’re using a lot of product
Physics....for hair. LoL!😂
Your recommendations ruined my hair. Thanks babe!
Wow, a *doctor* is promoting a product that has ruined the hair of so many thousands. This is insanity.
What product?
@@s.h.3111olaplex & k18
Which one??
It’s ruined peoples hair because those people using them weren’t supposed to use them for their hair. Olaplex is designed for damaged hair. If it causes hair loss it’s because of protein overload because either they didn’t have damaged hair in the first place or used it too frequently. exactly why olaplex used to only be available with a license because people are stupid and don’t research any of the stuff they put on their hair.
I serious wish folks that have an accent not from America please for the love of everything if you can not speak clearly have some one who is American speak the video please bc most of video is ok but the first 30 secs is gibberish
