sophiie elaine reads I actually like that about UK books. They're so much cheaper so when a new YA comes out I can buy it straight away for like £5 on Amazon instead of £12.99 for the hardback lol
Mia Foster I usually get them from Waterstones but if I do like a hard back I get them from book depository, I did that with six of crows and crooked kingdom just because I preferred the hardbacks to the uk paperbacks
Ha Ha I am in america and I feel like the UK covers are better because they are simpler, as american covers are more tacky cheesy ideals. The Uk Edition of Savage song reminds me of the American covers of Shades of magic from VE Schwab. I love the Uk Edition of the wrath and the dawn

I think the UK cover for My Lady Jane looks like a children's book...that's my opinion, I'm not trying to offend anyone, it's totally fine if you like that cover.
Yeah, I think the fact that the letters are different fonts and words are crossed out makes it look kinda trashy :P (not saying the book itself is trashy though, I haven't read it so I can't judge)
Same, I didn't like it because if I saw the book in a library or something I'd immediately walk by it because it just looks like an old history children's book from the 1980's or something. Like the type of book my mother would remember. The way the words were crossed out just looks so childish and it reminds me of the chapter books I read when I was like 8. It just didn't look interesting or mature.
I live in the UK, and I really prefer the US cover of heartless (I think you can get that cover in the UK if you buy the hardcover), and I have the UK cover for this savage song and YES it looks so twilighty- it's like they're trying to appeal to people who like twilight (I haven't read it yet, but meh the cover just makes it look medicore), the US cover for spindle is so much nicer! I always get so confused when they chane the name for the UK or vise versa- it makes it so confusing when I hear about books from US booktubers then can't find them because the names different, and the name changes never really make sense. I love the US edition of the thousandth floor so much more than the UK one. Both editions of Caraval are so beautiful!
These videos are so helpful for me because I live in a little village in the UK and when I make my fortnightly trip to the book shop I find it difficult to find the books I have heard about on booktube because they tend to show american covers but I have to buy the UK editions.

It's weird, because I live in the UK and I see (and OWN) many of the US editions (The Wrath & the Dawn, This Savage Song) in UK stores like Waterstones etc. I think there's a nice balance between the two countries - I usually go ahead and search for the edition I like because I'm shallow like that. LOL.

i love how Victoria Schwab's UK editions go together so well with their white, red and black color scheme! i think they would look great on any shelf! but that US edition of This Savage Song is so, so pretty too! especially with the violin in the background!

I'm from uk. I think with a lot of books they look so much prettier in person than a picture (Cough. This savage song and tog. Cough) Also I think a lot of the uk editions are the paperbacks versions and say if I were to get it in hardbook it would look American.

I like the cover of Heartless (US). Red and black are my favorite colors so. I like the font and I like how the vines have roses and thorns on them and I like how it includes the crown with the heart. I think it encompasses the Queen Of Hearts and kinda the darker side of Wonderland really well. I also like how the cover without the dust jacket has the checkered board and the front has the crown and the back has Jest's hat.
I received the white edition of Heartless through Owl Crate but really wish I'd gotten the black one. I find that one so much more beautiful! Let's swap hahaha

I must say I do prefer the UK cover of Lady Jane (reading it at the moment) and a friend of mine sent me a copy of Caraval as a present, I need to see what illustration there is on the hard cover!!

I live in the US and I love stephen and prefer the UK editions mainly the 07 08 editions they're very simple usually a white cover with stephen king in bold font and a picture in the center and a bold colorful spine, I think they're just pleasing to look at

The worst in about being in the U.K is that YA books are always paperback. We never get YA novels in the hardbacks the US get.
