I've toyed with the idea of a drag car. It's such a single-purpose type of vehicle, I'm not sure if I personally would get much use out of it. I'd have to see if there are any races/clubs around here.

7:44 be careful saying any super glue/CA/tire glue will work. If it does not dry clear/shiny there a good chance you have crappy/old glue - it will dry hard but is brittle and snap with good power. It might be ok on 12t motor but faster motors good luck.

When i put my steering servo on and stuff i once i try to connect the black peace to the slash chassis it doesn't clear and sit flush. What am i doing wrong here?!?
I’m so sorry, but I’m not sure what you’re asking. By “black piece” I’m assuming you’re talking about the lower chassis. If you are, I know that can be a bit confusing. Make sure you’re using the correct hardware.
I have a couple drag cars that I erase and my boy got interested in it so I bought him a bandit and we were doing the exact same thing as you guys did I was just wondering what spur gear you guys used and what millimeter was the bolts holding the front bolt head on great footage as always
I really dig the brushed titan motor builds. I hear there are places running stock classes with the titan 12t motor. I am building one with my left over parts at the moment. What gearing are you running on these?

@@10thScaleGarage Holy moly that's high! Using rollout for the taller tires, 25 or 26 on the pinion with the 78 spur is about equal to the Bandit highest recommended gearing of 31/78
@@10thScaleGarage so really its more expensive to do that over the dr10 then? It's 199 for the dr10 kit amd 299 for the rtr amd it comes with a body. So you can take that extra 60 70 bucks or more you spend on a body amd paint and put that to a better esc and still have the team associated quality over Traxxas sub par quality. The bandit rustler and slash have alot of flaws lol.. I have that 3300 reedy motor on a mamba x and it makes my 4x4 rustler stand up all day long lol. It runs harder then the vxl motor.

My drag car is my 4x4 slash with a Maxx body, Hoss bumpers and shock towers. It’s far from stock, has Reedy electronics and it MOVES OUT.

Bro it can actually be done cheaper then that. Factory works/chuck works makes a cheaper stretch kit turning the bandit into a slash wheelbase

Traxxas makes them… can’t remember the part number. I have them all listed in my other drag bandit build video.

Yup! Ethan is running crazy tall gearing. I can’t remember off hand, but it’s the “stock option” for the bandit, plus a smaller spurr.

31 tooth pinion and the next size down in spurr. Stock clutch.

Yeah, but you’ll need the bandit arms, drive shafts and links. The rustler is just a little too wide to fit a no-prep body.

Why not start with a rustler?
Arms are too wide. You’d have to bolt on the bandit arms, links and shafts.

I built a drag slash last year and sold it...wasnt really my cup of tea. They do look super cool though.
You need friends with them so you can race each other. The fun Is limited when it’s just you.
Why not just use the stock bandit chassis

Like a touring car body? No. This is technically 1/10 scale but you’ll need a short course body.

Haha. The slash is wider. I have a 2WD slash and the wheels rub like crazy on all my drag car bodies.
