Bought my first Traxxas vehicle yesterday. Purple RTR Drag Slash, she's pretty also and I'm almost afraid to run it because of that, will be purchasing a shelf queen body. But there are no clubs in my area, which is about 75 miles north of you, so I run mine on the street and it's stirred up some interest in the hood, will see what happens. That is a nice looking car you have and I want to build my own also that's how I came across this video, I know this is 2 yrs old but interesting content, good job with that build, I've been bitten by the drag bug.
The pro line bodies are extremly durable...I have bash mine till death and is still really sharp I dont know what kind of witchcraft if this pro line... but keep It up
I just built the Slash conversion NP Drag Car with the Proline Octane body, with this body I didnt need to use Bandit Arms the original Slash Arms work.. nice job on your build the Vette body looks Awesome \m/
I was wanting to build one also, but using the 4x4 LCG so the motor is inside the frame, converting to 2wd. So that would take much more work, but, would not have the motor hanging off the back, but that may give more traction
There is no rc community where I'm from... I'm a lone wolf... u guys should be getting that servo I sent Ethan by Monday.. hopefully u guys can show the servo in a video.. that would be hella sick

Nice build and awesome paint job! Just wondering, Is there a considerable difference in ride height between the stock chassis vs the LCG chassis? Or is it morely to lower the battery and electronics?
Thanks! Good question. I’m not sure you could get the body low enough…. I’ve never seen anyone try to run the HCG chassis, but with enough choppin’ you might be able to get it to fit.
@@10thScaleGarage thanks so much I appreciate it so much...btw how hard was it to do all that and what was your grand total because idk if ill have enough money for this after all in just 13...and did you put the rear wheelie bar on? And will it fit on the bandit xl5
@@10thScaleGarage awesome thank you! I’ve got a bandit Vxl and I was looking for something like this! What do you think about the iroc camaro body from proline?
Good question. Remember, before you change the wheels you have to get the actual 12mm hubs, as the bandit doesn’t come with any. After that, any wheels will fit the chassis, but I’m not sure what wheels will fit under the body.
I remember you telling me that you can make them really fast! Believe it or not, that’s still the same power system from the original bandit. Just bigger wheels and chassis. I haven’t even changed the gearing yet.
They do. The only thing you need are 12mm hexes. Make sure you get the Traxxas hexes, as they’re a little deeper than regular ones. The part number is listed in the description.
Good question. Most of the parts I used are out of stock, and I can’t remember how much they were. I was super close to $300 before you put a battery and body on the car. $300 should get you the chassis that is ready to go. Just slam a battery in it and a body on it and let it rip. It’s worth mentioning that you can build it for cheaper than I did. Some of the parts I used are optional and you could totally go with some less-expensive components.
Do you think, since the parts are already, out of stock, lol, and that wasn't all that long ago, is the better option just to get the dr10 associate rc drag car , for like $319, just to get started?
The rustler arms are too long. The wheels would stick out past the body, but maybe that would look sweet. You would still need to convert it over to the slash chassis, obviously.
@@10thScaleGarage I think the only difference is the main chassis, suspension looks the same but the chassis is just a long thin tub instead of the wedge shape. Found a conversion kit for a bandit chassis on ebay
Those are 10th scale touring cars….. quite a bit different than a 10th scale drag car…. You could do it, but there isn’t a lot of support for that chassis getting converted to drag. Finding wheels and tires that fit might be hard. Let me know if you do! I’m interested to see what you come up with.
