I really liked this video it shows great skills and what a little know how will keep you safe in a survival situation
@Corporal's Corner
On my end of the world, it dropped into below zero territory between this past Thursday & Friday!
To me, not exactly conducive for camping!
I thought we were supposed to end up with an ice storm but Thank the Lord if it was on its way, it didn't hit here! Hopefully not where you're at either.
@Camping And Games
Would this apply to a Dakota Fire hole as well?
I figure if there's a way to vent any smoke far enough away from the original fire, maybe you could still "get away with it"?
It's the first thing I do!! Is to hit the like button. Already subscribed!!
@Corporals Corner
I kind of feel like a hall monitor however Shawn, you ended up with "Crypto currency" bots in the comments.
I reported what I could but there was a swarm of about a dozen all doing their spew right after each other.
I still feel / have a hunch this might be @ least one reason YT is throttling you or @ least messing with you somehow.
I guess it could be worse where you end up with the porn site dropping bots that you had awhile ago but still..
Anyways, trying to look out for a fellow UA-cam creator I happen to respect & learn stuff from everytime I watch.
Corporals corner almost as important as morning coffee for a good Sunday
I look forward to this every Sunday!
Living vicariously through Sean up hear in Wisconsin.
Agreed!
First thing I watch after church every Sunday! 👍
True.
What no afterthought?? Always look forward to your afterthoughts, what happened? You know it looks like to me that if someone was loyal to you they would watch you every time no matter what you put out. I'm 71 and I watch you because you bring things back forward in my head that I knew a long time ago and I thank you ever so much for that that is one of the reasons why I watch you plus some of the stuff you put together to eat well I guess I do the same. I'll be with you till you're not there anymore or until I die. Signed a loyal fan: Terry Queen. Think about it. Stay vigilant!
Some people look forward to Sundays for religious ceremonies and/or sport teams playing. Me, I look forward to a new video from Corporals Corner! Now more videos from CPL Kelly mid-week... YAY!!! Thank you for all you do.
An old cowboy showed me this…when camping did out shallow places for your shoulder and hip, fill them with leaves pine straw, pine boughs…..makes for a comfortable place to sleep.
Good shelter. Pretty trippy with 62F inside (nearly too hot for sleeping) and 10F just past the door to where you could die...lol. Great video as always!
I'm a Canadian search and rescue member now for 7years and I find your videos extremely relatable and interesting. Thanks for your time and your services in the usmc
Your cold camp build sparked my memories of local news networks in Western NC covering hikers getting rescued from the Appalachian Trail during the Blizzard of ‘93. Our area made international news over that…
The way the world is heading makes these videos very important. Watch and learn in case we become homeless.
Woohoo, looks like I'm part of the 1%. Have no problem with the shorts.
Been busy all day. Finally layed down, Corporals Corner is the way to end the day. Thanks again for the hard work Corporal. Outstanding AF.
man given the date of yesterday on your phone you are fast at editing these videos, thanks for going to all that effort week after week.
The ribeye cheese and potatoes look delicious!! Love the shelter and the method you used to trap the heat!! 60° is a comfortable temperature for sleeping.
Us true fan's appreciate your dedication, you rock 🎸
Sorry I don't have telegram, I don't want to give them my card number
I really like the fact that you use that old oil tarp that you have A lot of people today just want to have everything new and They discard things that are still very Useable Bravo... another great video
Sunday mornings coffee, Corporals Corner, Hickcock 45, life is good.
You can tell by the condition of corporals hands that he’s a working class man 👍
I'm going to have to start having dinner before watching your videos because I am always hungry when its over.
Good too see the Corporal get a decent cup of coffee. I always say , life is too short too drink instant coffee, or frozen pizza😂
Another great video. You have a loyal following of fans don’t forget that. We appreciate what you’re doing for us. If you get discouraged. Take a knee , hydrate and pop some Motrin. Thanks for what you do .
Another Bushcarft Banger!!!
Please appreciate our Veterans and there service in and outside of military. This man is teaching life sustaining skills for a post EMP event?
Corporal.....I have been watching your for a few years now...still trying to master all of the knots. I'm 72, very active, and still love to get out in the woods camping. I have learned a lot from your video's and feel that if one had to survive, I could now do that. I have my tent, all of the cooking stuff, saw, hatchet, water filter system but most of all.....I have the desire to be out and enjoying life! All because you showed me the way and kept teaching. Thank YOU!
New way to watch Corporal's Corner.... enjoy the masterpiece solo overnight while letting the short play on repeat on my phone the whole time! Such is the state of UA-cam that we watch CC while we watch CC! Anything for the cause dude! Keep up the great work!
I'm still always impressed with your mastery of knots. It's a big part of the reason your shelters look so good. You can just take a tarp and some branches and make an excellent looking shelter. Your walls are always tight, you lines are crisp. I watch several you tubers that just throw tarps over things and do tie them down but not like you do.
Great video. A lot of shelters you make are great. I love the simplicity of this tho. You can count on me to watch the shorts, skills video and overnighters. I look fwd to every sundays anyway. Mid week ahort will be a nice in between. Thanks for the time you put into it.
CC Better than the Super Bowl.
What's a super bowel?
thanks to you my kid was awarded for best knots tying during their outdoor camping adventure with his fellow Boy Scouts over the weekend.. his teacher even made mention of his ridgeline setup for their team's tarp and tents.. he said he learned his tying skills from your channel.. salute to you!! God bless!!
sweet thanks
@@recall5811 keep it up! our outdoor bonding is getting more exciting thanks to contents like yours.. very informative!
A man of many hats and skills (Grunt, Cookie, SeaBee, Mtn. Div.) such as yourself has a plethora of “Shorts” subjects and gear to highlight.
Thx Corporal 👏👏👏
Hi Mate from Australia,
I loved your short, I would have never thought to use a shovel to cook a burger with, I feel like that is something a Aussie should have known at birth 🙂
On another note I hate hearing that you don't get the views that you need, I always get the notifications here down under to let me know that you have posted on UA-cam and Instagram.
I know its gotta be tuff, but keep up the awesome work and I know I'm only one person but I will keep watching and sharing with my mates. An old Aussie saying (Go Hard or Go Home), and you are always going hard Budddy. G'day from Australia.
Absolutely awesome video Shawn, enjoyed it and can't wait to see what's in store for the next one so keep um coming ty and God bless
Nothing better than rolling up one and watching Corporal do his thing.. Thank you for the content and service to this country!
roll one for me
@@recall5811 absolutely 🤙🏾
I could have put this video on and slept by the night sounds. Very relaxing.
I always watch your videos. If I don't get an alert for Sunday, I got looking for the video myself.
And I always give likes to other people's replies. 👍
seriously need to consider a cookbook!
Corporal, I hear your quiet anger on the feeling you need to do a mid week video of any kind.
Let me break it down on a personal view.
We love you brother. We may or may not take your way as the highway, but this feline filled cabin, makes us constantly look for other ways of anything. You and your insight help this settlement think outside the box, look toward future ideas and always be not settling.
Even if a specific video does not inspire specifically now, it certainly in culmination may later.
I love learning. If what I learn today, I do not use today, some how in part or whole I use or incorporate at some other time.
Your time is appreciated
I've had a bad week. Been very under the weather. Still taking care of parents and sister while feeling this way.
Been watching a lot of your older videos and some of the ones you've recommended. Really excited on this new one. Thanks for your time again!
As someone who has worked for and with youtube in the past comments are the number 1 variable in circulation of videos. UA-cam considers viewer participation and conversation a huge part of the equation. We had to teach many people this at meeting and they really made us stress the importance of this to new creators
I am one of the 1% ers that watched, Google is f-ing with your distribution, your subscribes are much more loyal than that.
Loved the shelter idea. That’s one I am going to try out. Keep fighting, the content is awesome.
Camping, food and skills! What more could I want? Feed the algorithm!
Hi. I watched, liked, and commented on the short. Just do your thing and do not mention the negatives. A lot of us are here for you. Great video. Thank you.
I need to tell you that I m not on any other media except you tube. I will still help you on your shorts and whatever else you want. You have my personal email. Don't hesitate to use it.
I love the low profile shelter. Great design putting the ass end into a cone to help with the heat. Ain't nothing like meat and potatoes in the woods. Only one thing I saw wrong. Not enough cheese 🧀. Bacon grease would have added some good shit to that ribeye. Just saying 🥓🥓🥓😇 I enjoyed the video. Great job. I could smell the chow from here.😁
Semper Fi. Charles
Another successful and Great Video! I got the notification for your short and it was good! The highlight of my Sunday is your videos. Love to see a fellow Vet making it in today's world. Will continue to visit your Etsy page and all your sites! Keep up the Great Work!
Good build this week! Missed your final thoughts, thanks for all you do
Outstanding love, the way you constantly teaching very easy to understand. Very easy to learn continue your hard labor for us.
I guess im in the 1% club. I'd like to see shorts on the knots you use and their purpose.
I look forward to coffee and watching the corporal every Sunday morning!
Best instructor on survival on UA-cam!
Love watching what you do
you are super awesome and bad ass
Sorry we're a little late for the party. Last week of deer season here in Alabama. Still need another for my mom's freezer and would like a couple for the children's home.
Love the tarp setup. Simple, yet effective. And the canvas tarp will help hold heat a little better. A few leaves tucked in around the bottom of the wall would block a little of the draft. And if there were some pines around for a pine straw bed would sure 'nuff be toasty!
You ever co sider totin a piece of clear plastic during the winter? A 4x6 sheet takes up almost no space or weight, and makes a world of difference on your inside Temps!
The chow looks good. Try it with so.e deer tenderloin!
As always...
Thanks for all you do. Keep makin em and we'll keep watchin!
I never miss a Sunday episode
Ribeye and potatoes with cheese looked delicious!
When you build your firewall, why do you cut the excess down to just above the firewall? Why not leave them long and tall as a place to hang a jacket to dry in the air, hang a pot, or even attach branches for makeshift concealment camoflage? Seems like many more uses if you just leave them tall.
That a really smart suggestion actually, outstanding AF
Can you do Shorts that show how to on knots? Just a 1 min, this is how and when on a knot.
Tireless perfection, keenest of insights and skills. Sincere thanks
That's what you call a good camping trip, keep up the good work
Is it bad that when corporal eats I get hungry and eat to!?!?!?
You're totally normal
Give a man a roll of bankline, a hatchet and teach him the canadian jam knot….then watch him rebuild society.
Cpl. Kelly, Outstanding over night and Outstanding Chow. Thanks for sharing your Time and knowledge and wisdom. Keeping it Real and all of your hard work. You Are The Master Woodsman and Bushcrafter. Also I did subscribe to Jake Trent, thanks for the shout out about his channel. I Greatly Appreciate All your videos. Thank You for Your Time In Service and Keeping Us Safe. Tim L. U.S. Army Vet and Bushcrafter and Woodsman.
Awesome as usual. The short was a refreshing fix mid week just like a tease for Sunday
That is a heck of a lot of work just for UA-cam, especially how they’re unfairly hindering you and many others that do so much to make channels such as yours outstanding af! Thank you for all you’ve done and do! You are appreciated even if UA-cam or Facebook or whatever does not!
Hmm... no Corporals Final Thought?
Must be he got cloned that's how you know... etsy page is a FAKE 😅
No extraneous space to try keeping warm, perfect.
I see people ask why you make shelters "so small" but you aren't throwing a dinner party, you're trying to make it through the night in relative comfort. Cool build.
Love the idea of the 3-5 min skill videos. A rundown of knots, different fire lays, or gear dump would up views.... the tube really hit you on this video. I had 5 add breaks during the watch.
I've always wondered if there's a way to keep the outside fire from going out if it rains or snows, so you don't lose that warmth.
I've never seen anyone who builds a fire outside a shelter, demonstrate how to do that, or have one when it's actually snowing or raining.
Is there something to do to keep the fire from going out?
A tarp above it or something else, if you don't have an extra tarp?
Men being men.
Nothing better.
I like what your doing with the etsy, the shorts, and shorter video ideas. Awesome. God bless you with success on all fronts.
My Sunday isn’t complete without watching your videos! I look forward to the shorts with same enthusiasm!
First cook the potatoes , then the meat
A “corporal rotisserie”……lol
Late viewing on Friday, crazy week... Cpl, I appreciate all the hardcore camping you do! If anyone thinks a basic overnight is a breeze from sitting on a couch, needs less smoke in their lungs! I enjoy doing it, I enjoy watching others doing it... Keep positive thinking young man... Thank You!!
Hey my brother keep up the good hard work it has gotten you to where you're at today. You and I both know there will always be resistance. The group Alabama put out a song it said you can't keep a good man down!! I'm a believer, God bless you and yours and God bless USA
Thats well below zero in Centigrade. Freezing point is 32 F..!!!!!! Don't ask me why the Fahrenheit scale still exists. As an ex Brit, now Dutch who spent 3 years in the USA I understand Fahrenheit, but I still see it as illogical. There must have been reasons for such a scale. Anyway, interesting posting........looks very cosy
Chill out.
This is my favorite one in a long time. Makes me think back to the winter open air shelter.
Best part of my post-church routine. Mr. Reliable! It’s that time again!
The powers that be dont want people to know survival skills. They want them weak and dependant on the state... might be a reason YT is giving you a hard time?
Hmmm, I don't think you are sleeping there overnight (SOLO OVERNIGHT). The new fire in the morning and no blankets gives it away. A couple episodes ago there was new snow around the fire pit. The fire overnight would have melted the snow. Are you really sleeping overnight at the sight if it is a solo overnight??? I don't think so!!!!!!!!
That is a good point.
Might be a camper van 100 yards away?
Mind you all the effort he puts in to build camps would mean it was stupid to bug out & sleep someplace else?
Plus he is one double hard ex military guy.
@Moors Hound there is no doubt he puts a lot of time into his build and I appreciate his expertise. I have used his technique several times. All I am saying is his videos make me believe he doesn't sleep there at the site every time - only occasionally
That's a really nice shelter configuration. I almost like that one as much as the tarp tent for ease of setup. Although this one would probably be more stout with the ridge pole. Excellant dinner with the steak and potatoes as well.
Corporal, if you make it I will watch it. I sometimes watch older videos and will still see things that are useful that I missed.
I bet your hands took a beating on this one! That looked cold to me. The food looked great! Outstanding, Corporal! Looking forward to mid week and the shorts.
So far getting all notifications. Short did what it was supposed to do. Good job Sean. See you in the next one.
Reminds me of the first video of yours I ever watched years back, another quality one for the books. Thanks again man!
Great video, Shawn. A throwback to the K.I.S.S. method, proving that sometimes simpler is better. Especially in an emergency that would require a quick shelter and fire. All your hard work is appreciated. Have a great day! Semper Fi!
Great shelter idea. Was looking forward to the "final thoughts" segment but like the Rolling Stones said "You can't always get what you want" excellent video 👍
My Sunday morning "must-see". Thanks for the feels.
I think you are doing a great job with good information. To me watching you work with those tough looking hands is the best example for everyone to believe in you.
The camp meals just round everything out nicely!
A good strong coffee after the night before! Outstanding
Even in severe weather you rock, you’re awesome
It was a bit cold this week! Great video! Liked it! Was thinking along the same lines of cold weather bug out! That was fun to watch! 💥👍👍👍😎 low profile tarp set up and clothing blended well with surroundings! Outstanding!
I really appreciate the time and effort that you put into making these videos for us to enjoy keep up the good work SEMPER FI
Morning Corp
Never forget the Bank Line. Your an awesome dude! I have learned so much from you over the years now. I really want to thank you for that!
CCCC on Sunday. Church, Corporals Corner, and coffee.
Been missing Corporals Corner for awhile. Love all you do my man; I just bought a bivy tarp and a woobie blanket...hopefully not bad for an Air Force Engineer guy :). Cheers!
Love watching all your videos. Thank you for teaching us different ways of doing camping, cooking, survival without having to spend a fortune on "survival" gear. Look forward to Sunday morning and your videos
Awesome. 10° to 60° is huge. I'm going to oil a tarp next week. Thanks for the education!! Keep it rocking.
Thanks Corporal for another excellent learning video!
Stay Safe Everyone!!!!!
I look forward to all of works of art, much thanx Corp
If it's Sunday....... I'm watching Corporal's Corner. Thank You and
Carry on Corporal!
