- Went out in the snow to test a new piece of equipment, the world's warmest sleeping bag from Pajak Sport.
I put new gear to the test in a new area and embrace the cold January weather

Yep 😂
😂😂😂 yep.
It reminds me of Jim Carrey coming out of the rhino😂
Now i cant unsee it 🤣
i find it incredibly satisfying to be in the blistering cold but being warm and protected from it, like when you jump out of the shower when you’re sick, the air and everything is freezing cold but the second you dive under that blanket and start building body heat it’s sooooo satisfying
Yeah I also do that, it’s very satisfying
Same feeling like when you tuck in to bed at home wearing warm socks
That’s what heroin feels like
agree i LOVE that feeling
Feels like hero in
I'm Polish and the company that makes this sleeping bag is actually from my hometown and makes it there, so it was awesome to see it actually in action. This really made my day.

Xander single-handedly keeping the stereotype of "Canadians put maple syrup on everything" alive. 😁
Lol 😂
Maple syrup goes on more stuff than people think
Lol, I'm Australian and starting to wonder if Canadian cuisine is just putting cheese, bacon and maple syrup on everything.

I just turned 30 and it has been my long time dream to camp like this in the heartlands of Canadian wilderness. I'm from the UK so sadly camping is very tame here. But to be somewhere everything is so quiet/isolated and you're so close to nature really appeals to my adventurous side. God bless hope you get some enjoyment through Xanders videos even if vicariously
Are you 30 years old?? 😮
"I almost climb that mountain, then I realized I had a drone." - Funniest thing I've ever heard😂
hes bad ass though.
You don’t get out much do you
How is that funny..
Im glad my youtube recommended this, it was quite relaxing watching the snowy scenery and the cooking.
This was so therapeutic to watch, I’m in central London right now and you gave me a magical escape. Thank you ❤️

This is the first time I’m watching your channel and I gotta say I absolutely love your content brother! Keep living life too the fullest and enjoy every moment you can❤
Shovel, chains, traction mats, you had enough gear to get yourself out. The other 2 components are attitude and time. Its cool how you show everything that happens on a trip good or bad, planned or unexpected. Because that's real life. Nicely done, carry on!
Nice comment!, and really didn't disagree
So peaceful! I always feel like there's a special kind of quiet in the snowy woods. Thanks Xander!
About the best video of this nature I have seen. Still does not make me want to camp out in the cold but the videos, and especially this one, are fun to watch. Thanks.
This video was so enjoying to watch, not only that but the recipes that came with it that ima try making at home
That was cool that you showed a “fan” at the end recognizing you. More nice when you introduced yourself and shook his hand. That’s class. Well done. I always think you are nuts camping with no tent…but that’s because I would be chicken to do the same. If there is a formula for this type of channel it seems to be 25% scenery, 25% firewood cutting, 25% cooking show, and 25% chitchat and sleeping. Yours is great because you do all of those well, and your big playful personality is always worth watching. The maple syrup on everything is weird though….lol, and I am a fellow Canadian. Keep up the good work.
You forgot the 100 percent ASMR

Your commitment to eating that amount of bacon for breakfast is way more impressive than sleeping in negative degree snow 😂.

Polish outdoor brands specialising in Himalayan gear (like Pajak) know what they're doing - their mountaineering stuff is fantastic. Has to be, for a nation with this sort of history in the sport.

You're bringing back memories of the many frosty winters we spent during our time in Yukon. My hubby ran his dog team in the first ever Yukon Quest. Though not as well known, it's a more difficult race than the more familiar Iditarod. One of his favorite nights was spent on top of a mountain, windy with a temperature of -55C. He had no tent but put his sleeping bag on top of a caribou hide and was quite warm.
Thanks for not quitting during the winter months. We'd miss your fun videos if we had to wait until spring.
The yukon quest is a training run for the Iditarod says lance mackey and dallas sevey
Definitely going to try the pizza ideas out. They all looked amazing!
That sounds like an awesome adventure! It must have been really exciting to explore the woods, sleep under the stars and enjoy some delicious food in the forest.
Glad you’re having such a great time! I live in Las Vegas Nv . We freeze at any temperature below 70 deg F!

I love watching your videos as bed time stories. The beauty of the woods, snapping fires and your cheeky comments are great. You might try whole delcotta squash instead of butternut. You can eat the skin. You might like fig jam as someone else suggested. Thanks for all your videos!
How's it going Xander, watched all your videos and love every single one of them. I really appreciate all the effort you put into your videos and I have learned a lot not just about surviving in the wild but learning to love and appreciate nature and freedom. I was born and raised on a beautiful small tropical island called Saipan, in the Northern Mariana Islands and have since moved to Seattle, WA here in the United States in 2005 when I was 11 years old. Years later and I have been depressed and still struggle with Big City Living with all the craziness going on in the world, but your videos remind me of the happiness and love for being outdoors and connecting with nature as I did when I was a little boy. Thanks A lot Xander and its all starting to make sense now lol I know I might sound a little crazy, but Nature Really does help heal the mind.
Gotta love his energy ❤
proof that thumbnails rule the internet. this thumbnail just caused you to gain a bunch of new fans such as myself!! love you bro! keep surviving!
You should invest in a Warn bumper hitch winch set up so you can use it off the front and rear of your truck. Just add a 2” receiver under the front bumper and wire 1 or 2 gauge to quick connect plugs.
The second tree you cut (at the second campsite 18:45) that almost took your face off, was a textbook ‘barber chair’ break. Kills more loggers than jealous husbands 😎
The thumbnail gave me ace ventura coming out of the rhino vibes hahaha😂
Hahahaha unforgettable scene
This looks like a dream, you put an emphasis on the photography and the beauty of nature, every shot from this video nearly could hang on a wall, it reminds me of playing Minecraft as a kid and trying to make a base in the snowy forest. (I say that because here in Louisiana where i'm at i've had maybe 3 really good snows in my entire almost 23 years of life. And even then they don't even come nearly as close as the snow where you're at.) I'm now a sub lol
You're a beauty dude. Love yours vids. We share a common life!! Isn't it the best on this side of the fence. 🙏🙏❤️❤️
Wild, we slept there the following night and wondered who was brave enough to do the same. Fun!
Man, you always make the best-looking food, Xander! I live in central Kentucky, and last week, it was super cold here, too. We had low temps between -5 and -10F. High temps in the low teens, with more than 6 inches of snow. I can't imagine camping out in those temps! You're a beast, bro 💪🥶
It was indeed cold, the snowstorm a couple weeks back hit Richmond pretty hard. Was a fun time though!
I think I've found my new favorite channel. This guy's a HOOT!
these videos give off the best vibes
Weekend and a new Xander video. Great🎉🎉
I like the editing where you show the last slice before the log falls… honestly I watch a lot of camping videos and I get a bit tired of seeing guys endlessly sawing and chopping wood in every one of them! Awesome camp!
I'm actually from Poland and bought the Phantom down jacket from Pajak to support a ;local' business and I'm really impressed by how it's holding up so far. It's super warm for the size and weight (like a down jacket should be IMO) and it's my go to travel companion when I go anywhere cold. If I'm at an airport I just pack it inside the backpackand put it on after we land. Very high quality item so far (been using it for 3 years now)
Props too you man cause that’s terrifying sleeping in the middle of nowhere. thank you for keeping us entertained. One your many viewers who watches this at 3 am on a work night that can’t sleep *😂

Would love to experience winter camping just once in my life looks wonderful. Great video Xander
When I was younger and before I destroyed my back and knees I used to camp here in northern Illinois during the winter and it didn't matter what the temps were.
I loved my adventures and miss being able to do so with my kids
I once got to ride with some pro snowmobile riders in deep snow.. that day I learned that there is no such thing as completely stuck. There is always some way to dig your vehicle out of sticky situation ^^. It's nice to have that confidence. Of course it might need more digging if it's badly stuck but there is always a way out.

@@slava54321 Good point!
that's really cool with the sleeping bag. and you seem really good at being out in the wild. I do think it's funny how you talk up -20 degrees weather because out where I live (Minnesota prairie) that can just be the norm for all of December. Still blisteringly cold tho. Props. (edit. just checked the units. I was talking about Fahrenheit not Celsius. them's chump numbers.)
Note to self: prepare the fresh ingredients ahead of time because they’re gonna be frozen anyway.

Imo the fjällräven polar -30 bag is superior in design to this. The fur covering the face area is really amazing for stopping the wind getting in. And also cheaper (in Sweden at least) 1420 of 800fp vs 1050 900fp in size large. So id imagine the theoretical warmth to be similar. But as you say, if the baffles suck then that will diminish any perceived benefits from the higher quality down. I'd highly recommend the fjällräven sack. I've used it here in northern Sweden down to minus 38 paired with an exped dura 6 and some foam mats under the open sky with light wind. I've also heard good things about the thermarest polar ranger.
Basic rule, Don't wear too many layers clothes when sleeping in a sleeping bag. You may take some of those clothes inside the bag over night, so those are warm in morning.
Camera quality is crazy work 👌🏿😮💨
The Butternut squash with those toppings sound wonderful. You need to roast them in foil with oil like a baked potato to get them to cook all the way through. Using just foil isn’t enough because the rind is not as permeable. A couple pats of butter would work perfect and be portable.
