  • In this video, we have a head-to-head battle between two of the ever-popular 920s. The XR920 and MR920L are Glock clones, but the tolerances are much tighter. People have been taking their stock Glock pistols and modifying them to fit their needs for years. Usually, with tons of aftermarket parts, but Shadow Systems offers the complete package out of the box, so you as the end user don't have to buy anything from the aftermarket. - Enjoy the video, and be sure to Like, Comment, and Subscribe to the channel.

Wow! Out of the box accuracy with tight groups. Great comparison. Can’t wait to get my hands on either one!

Indeed. I was a little surprised with how similarly well they both performed. Thanks for watching

The DR stands for Duty Role, and they don't have heavier triggers. Not by a long shot.

I’m stuck with either the G45 or the XR920. What do you recommend. I really want a G45. But man that XR920 is just beautiful. What do you recommend? Awesome video bro.

That’s a hard one bro. I know what you mean. If you don’t have a G19 or G17, nor a Shadow Systems and you need (1) “go to war” gun then I’m gonna recommend the G45. After that then pick up a tricked out Glock like the Shadow with all the “bells and whistles” for your next one.

I own the xr and it's not the best for concealed carry. It's a duty gun through and through. The Mr is better for concealment. Other than that they are exactly the same.

I was in same boat but got the XR920 combat couple weeks ago for $569 cause it’s discontinued. I wouldn’t want the elite anyway. So at that point XR was a no brainer as long as it it reliable. 200 rounds at range and zero malfunctions of any kind. Just did some dry fire , cleaned and lubed before range. I do the same with every gun before I shoot. I’ve had Glocks with malfunctions new out of the box 1-2 usually. Being it’s the same gun for intents and purposes have zero issues trust it will go bang now when I want it to

Johnny Glocks has a kit for that timney that makes it really nice for carry

If someone can carry a 1911 with a 3- 3 1/2 trigger, they can carry the timney trigger installed. Training is what really matters.

Well a 1911 has a manual safety. But overall I agree.

Yeah it’s not the actual weight of the trigger pull that people consider unsafe.
1911 has two safeties and is considered drop safe.
Glocks have 3 internal safeties but are all defeated with one trigger pull. (Good and bad thing)
The Timney trigger eliminates one of those safeties. Which is their drop safety.
