Mine arrived this week. First range day was today. 200+ rounds of a variety of ammunition, zero malfunctions. I swapped out the icky sorta taller sorta not tall sights for the Ameriglo GL-354 set, replaced the magazine release and slide stop with Vickers, and added a Streamlight TLR-7A Flex. It's the most accurate fighting pistol I've ever shot. I shoot iron sights only due to my astigmatism. The additional 1/2" sight radius is a really big deal. At 10 yards I was blasting a single large hole through the target's bullseye. At 30 yards, I was transitioning back-and-forth between two steel silhouette targets and landed 16 consecutive shots in the center chest flapper; eight on each. Instantly my favorite gun and, after another hundred rounds, will replace the MR920 as my primary EDC. I can't thank you guys enough for giving us what Glock won't (or hasn't yet). This was the design always missing from their lineup. You guys hit it out of the ballpark here. It's truly perfect. Well, it is now. ;)
@@OxiSG For appendix inside the waistband, I run a PHLster Spotlight. Had to tighten up the retention just a bit, but otherwise it's perfect. For OWB, which I only use when sport shooting, I run a Safariland model 7377 7TS ALS holster with the Quick Lock system. It fits great.
Took my MR920L to the range yesterday and it was very accurate and on point. 225rds and no issues at all. Very happy with the purchase so far.Thanks Shadow !
So I bought an MR920L in CA from a cop with only 50 rounds through it, true fkn Unicorn out here, anyways day after picking it up I had a RDS training course so I screwed on a rmr the day before sighted in before class and went to town with this thing, I out performed my self from previous classes with Glock 19 and imo out performed everyone else in that class.. I was the only civilian there so I wasn't training with no newbs anyways its an excellent pistol. The mr920L is the best carry & home defense pistol, due to it only being 2 ounces heavier than a glock 19 but you feel like you have a real full size kick ass pistol on you. its my favorite pistol in my arsenal and its actually next to me right now. So an accurate pistol but I must admit the trigger is not the best polymer trigger I own and I got a Johnny Glock gen4 trigger for it but it didn't work neither did the DPS guide rod so don't waste your money also I got the kagwerks slide stop but that didn't fit either but I've heard there's a slight mod to get that to fit. I paid a ridiculous amount for it like double its msrp because its impossible to find in CA and you know what its such a great pistol that I don't kick myself for this great impulse buy.
I am LEO and issued a Sig 229 , we are transitioning to G19 G5 soon and I wanted my own G19 as my off duty carry. My dealer introduced me to the SS MR918 last fall and I just had to have one. I’ve shot my 918 next to my Sig and G19-5 and the 918 is Way more shootable, the mag well just pushes my hand up into the gun and makes the follow up shots easier. Have shot approx 5500 of mixed ammo through the 918 without a hiccup! Im definitely looking for a 920L to mount a optic on.

First, my whole time in the Marine Corps, I was strictly dedicated to my qual weapon, standard issue Beretta and my trusty 1911 of choice, the Dan Wesson CCO. Having sampled every Glock imaginable through my fellow marines, I swore off all Glocks. By chance, one of my buddies at the local gun store, also a Marine, pleaded and allowed me to try his EDC, Vicker's Tactical Glock 19. When I exited the range that day, I hated Glocks a little less. LOL Fast Forward December 22nd 2019... Once again, in my LGS, self-gifted Christmas present in hand, another Dan Wesson 1911! Making my way to the background check counter, I asked to check out the Vicker's Tactical FDE variant one last time. Watching him through the glass I noticed the MR918 Elite next to the VTE G19. I immediately inquired about that one, asking him to grab both for comparison and his honest opinion. Given his ability to provide solid weapons info, the fact that he was a Glock Fanboy, but STILL recommended The MR918 Elite, I became a new SS Team Member and bought my FIRST polymer! BG check cleared,$$ paid, IMMEDIATELY grabbed 200 rounds and headed upstairs for testing! The MR918 Elite was EVERYTHING the G19 wasn't and MORE! Flawless Running machine, It needs NOTHING. I've been shooting with iron sights my whole life, and yours are The BEST! BUT since you all made provision for a reflexive optic, I'm going to gift myself the Holosun 507c X2. I can't waste that beautiful space on the top of the slide, my MR918 Elite would've been my FIRST Non-modified weapon, PLUS, trying my other friend's RMR-equipped modded G19 peaked my curiosity.😂 Two days ago, I saw and sampled the MR920 at my LGS and OMG! SS DOES NOT play with details! And no way do I regret my purchase! I was hoping that there was no reason for me to get the MR920L because I cannot justify having two highly similar yet very different machines! As an owner of two mr920’s I’m torn between the mr920L and the DR920 for my next purchase. Part of me wants both. Part of me wants to utilize the couple dozen g19 mags I have... keep up the awesome work. Love supporting American companies that care.
I decided to go with the Elite L. I was dead set on the DR until I held them side by side. The MR just fit my hand better than the DR. I run the mag well on one and don’t run it on the other. So far this L Is an amazing shooter. I also could not imagine the difference an extra half an inch made in accuracy and shootability. I’ve only had it 3-4 days and it might be my favorite. I guess the DR920 will be the next one. Lol. The MR920L has a slightly extended slide stop lever. Is this a new feature? The trigger was also smoother and easier out of the box compared to my other two MR920’s. It feels like the regular ones were after 6-700 rounds. Was there a change made to the trigger? Thanks again for making such awesome products at affordable prices.
Can I add the unthreaded barrel to the mr920 from the mr920L. I can’t have a threaded barrel in Massachusetts, but I like the look of the longer barrel.
I’m getting mine next week, I haven’t been this excited to get a gun since I go my first ar. But I be only heard great things about it and it’s got all the upgrades I could want for my glock. But thanks for the video and fine craftsmanship!
I put about 300 rounds in my WPS Shadow Systems MR920. Solid gun, my aim has improved because the low recoil the gun is extremely lite. It’s now my every day carry. Would love to try one of these 920L out and post a video about it.

The application of the 19X is for people who have larger hands and want a better grip, plus having a couple extra rounds-while having a shorter barrel to clear a holster faster. It actually does make sense. That being said, I think the L slide on the shorter grip also has a solid application.
Luckily I found one at Bullfrog Cornor Gun Shop in Horn Lake Ms. I've had it two weeks and its amazing. I have the MR920 Elite also. The long does have advantages in recoil. Super flat. Cant say enough about Shadow.

So l just bought one, l have a question why does the barrel move around during slide lock? You can wiggle the gun and the barrel shakes. Will rattle like it’s loose. Is this normal? As l don’t think my Glock does this upon slide lock.

So I bought an AREX DELTA X about 6 months ago cause it was only 450 bucks, it's like the XR920, which is the opposite of the mr920L. But now I think my next gun will be the mr920L even though I'm gonna toss a Holosun on top. 🤨
Just recently purchased it. Unfortunately I live in NJ and a couple of weeks ago I just purchased a pistol. So, I’m waiting for my 31 days to clear. Here in Jersey we can only purchase one pistol every month/with pistol permits. I was originally planning to get the combat elite but they don’t have it. So, I opted out for this one.
If Shadow Systems made a G48 version with their optics cut and a rail (like the G48 MOS... but better) with 15 rds (like Shield Arms or just use their mags...), that would instantly be a huge hit in the market. No one's really into the G48 (single stack) game and the Glock 19 market is simply flooded and saturated.
I’ve emailed and called them telling them this exact thing. As of 06/2022 they say one is not in the works. Shame, cause it would make a huge splash. I’d buy one.

i like the video but my only issue is the 19x comment. as most people know the 19x was not intented for civilian use as part of the MHS tirals more capacity with the shorter slide and barrel is what they were going for and honestly they hit the mark on the 19x great video tho.
MY 920L is now my new duty pistol. I have a MR 918. I think the trigger pull on the 920 is improved over the 918. I am hoping that you will come out with Glock 17 sized pistol. Thanks for making such a great pistol
Lots of people are experiencing problems due to the tight fit. When I get mine I’m going to break it down, clean it and then put gun grease in specific areas and then rack the slide about 100 times before I even shoot one round through it. I also heard the mags that come with it are not that great so I ordered four extra OEM Glock mags. Lots of malfunctions are due to the P mags that come with it. Ordered mine July 1st
Will you end up offering slides themselves available for purchase later on? Just wondering because I have the 920 combat now, but wouldn’t mind having the elite slide also. I live in an area where dirt and sand can be an issue and that’s why I went with the combat slide for now.
I love the MR920L but I wish you guys would have made the dust cover or rail a little longer to match up to the end of the barrel like your compact versions.
I would much rather have a better grip than a longer barrel. Better grip means better control which means better shots. Need a Glock 19x or Glock 45 version of the mr 920
Terrific. I've always been fond of a short grip and a longer slide. As an aside, I have smaller hands. Can you work your magic on a Glock 48 with S15s magazines? Together with the L, it would cover 95% of my needs.
So this accuracy advantage is only when using iron sights, correct? when using a rmr for example, the longer barrel shouldnt have any accuracy advantage? bullet velocity prob not much an improvement with an extra 1/2". the mr920 is the perfect gun for a red dot sight. why someone would not choose to do so is baffling. 😏
Hey Finn, yes that is correct. The sight radius advantage is only there if using iron sights. I will add that even if you use an optic, you do still get the benefit of a slightly less snappy recoil impulse with the longer slide.

Definitely cool. But I gotta disagree, the Glock 45 is EXTREMELY efficient and effective in terms of its ergonomics. The bigger grip DOES improve accuracy because I can hold onto the gun A LOT better. I’ve tried the reverse, the longer slide with the shorter grip and I hate it. I hate the G19 grip because it tears up my middle finger on the trigger underguard. If the MR920 allows a little more space under the trigger guard than the G19/918 does then maybe it’ll fit me a tad better. But so far I have no 19 size grip fits me well. Therefore the G17/45 size grip imo is much better. And the shorter slide makes the gun less “top heavy” which tends to happen When you have a short grip and a longer slide. I’ll def have to try one of these out, but it would be nice if you increased the grip size slightly.
Sully, thanks for the feedback. It is definitely true that people with very large hands struggle a little with the compact size grip. I am glad the MR920 is a little better in this area for you, but our full size gun (the next product release) would probably be a better fit for you. Thanks for the comment!

Nice, I actually assembled a Glock 19L a few years ago. Brownells makes a 19L slide and barrel. Stipples frame, 507C optic, my favorite carry gun.

The Army selected a pistol the same size as the M9. They were going for modular, not a shorter slide

Would a Griffin micro comp work on the threaded version without having to tune the recoil spring setup?
I love the MR920L but I wish you guys would have made the dust cover or rail a little longer to match up to the end of the barrel like your compact versions.
no biggie, I like what SS did with the DR920L at the barrel end. Just look a bit shorper, but I love the MR grip with marg well too much to get a DR.
Will you sell the slide only in the future for those that have the MR920?
We do not currently have a plan to sell slides separately

I would much rather have a better grip than a longer barrel. Better grip means better control which means better shots. Need a Glock 19x or Glock 45 version of the mr 920

Terrific. I've always been fond of a short grip and a longer slide. As an aside, I have smaller hands. Can you work your magic on a Glock 48 with S15s magazines? Together with the L, it would cover 95% of my needs.

So this accuracy advantage is only when using iron sights, correct? when using a rmr for example, the longer barrel shouldnt have any accuracy advantage? bullet velocity prob not much an improvement with an extra 1/2". the mr920 is the perfect gun for a red dot sight. why someone would not choose to do so is baffling. 😏
Hey Finn, yes that is correct. The sight radius advantage is only there if using iron sights. I will add that even if you use an optic, you do still get the benefit of a slightly less snappy recoil impulse with the longer slide.
Why wouldn't someone run a red dot? Because of an optical astigmatism, which millions of people have. Not so baffling, really.
A red dot at self defense distances is pointless really. To each their own, track a red dot or track your front sight

Definitely cool. But I gotta disagree, the Glock 45 is EXTREMELY efficient and effective in terms of its ergonomics. The bigger grip DOES improve accuracy because I can hold onto the gun A LOT better. I’ve tried the reverse, the longer slide with the shorter grip and I hate it. I hate the G19 grip because it tears up my middle finger on the trigger underguard. If the MR920 allows a little more space under the trigger guard than the G19/918 does then maybe it’ll fit me a tad better. But so far I have no 19 size grip fits me well. Therefore the G17/45 size grip imo is much better. And the shorter slide makes the gun less “top heavy” which tends to happen When you have a short grip and a longer slide. I’ll def have to try one of these out, but it would be nice if you increased the grip size slightly.
Sully, thanks for the feedback. It is definitely true that people with very large hands struggle a little with the compact size grip. I am glad the MR920 is a little better in this area for you, but our full size gun (the next product release) would probably be a better fit for you. Thanks for the comment!
