This has to be my favourite matt hayes video.

One of the nicest perch ive seen, it was not huge, but very healthy and beautifully coloured.
No. A lot of people think that they are the same family and some think it is a cross between Pike/Perch but that is not the case. They are a species all of their own. No relation to perch or pike.

hello from canada, i've found that fishing a small tube jig or grub/worm/etc under a float works amazingly well

Yup, I'd say it was, between there and Tewkesbury.
Fair comment about the risk to the predators. Pike are now almost all gone from the middle reaches of the river.

Hi ganner. He`s fishing one of the best rivers( the River Severn) in England, in the U.K. I fish it too, and have never caught any of the fish he does, apart from a Perch. Like you said, for flupes sake!

i fish on the the local cancel (liverpool) get a good few decent perch on just worm try fish as deep as u can and then throw the perch on for livebait and catch some pike on the trebles.

Maybe it's because the peg is baited up to the limit 3 or 4 days before he goes. Hey! No one's that good all the time.

It's actually a very good, strong and usefull net!

That sportsman boat looks like a quality boat. Shame they are £7200 and that's not including the 30hp outboard which will set you back a few grand.

Nicholas skinner walleye is from the US and zander from Europe. They are two different species and the zander is the larger of the two

erm... not supposed to throw zander back... they're vermin.... another reason to hate the French. anyway they are supposed to be good eating, I've found some good spots, just needed tips on better lures... good video
+Alex Etchells You're an idiot,. While it's true that Zander aren't afforded the same legal protections as native species, there is no requirement to destroy them. Even the Birmingham Anglers Association has clarified its stance on zander and now insists that the predator must be protected and returned alive on all its waters.
+baldieman64 then why are the government zapping the waters still to kill them? an anglers group don't have claim on the water, they probably only throw them back so others can catch them, its the grey squirrel all over again, we don't like foreign animals in our country

Actually you are wrong. Walleye is a fish from North america, here in Europe we have another species called Zander Lucioperca. It's not the same as the Walleye.
That is a Zander. Beautiful fish. I have yet to catch one, here's hoping for the new season.

Easy. He brings the fish with him that was caught previously. Its easy to put a hook in a fish mouth and then put it back in the water and then re-land the fish. Check out this video at 7:30. Matt is talking, not really looking like he's doing much fishing. In fact he doesn't look bothered at all. Suddenly the video skips and he's got a fish on. Same again at 13:20. At 13:54 he even fakes a hook up. Fake fishing videos. You know when you go fishing, its never this good.
