Anything involved with mick brown is always worth a watch, truly fantastic, explaining everything so well, just could listen & watch him fishing all day , excellent presenter & fisherman , more please 👍👍👍
couple of daft comments on here,if a top tackle manufacturer is willing to give him all the gear he needs, even clothing, whats wrong with that??maybe even pay him a wage for all we know, who would'nt make vids promoting their stuff??dream job in my eyes.micks probably getting up early tommorow morning to go piking whereas im getting up early to go spend the day on a building site, think i'd prefer micks job.
I guess im randomly asking but does someone know a trick to log back into an instagram account..? I was stupid forgot my password. I love any assistance you can offer me!
@Cain Connor i really appreciate your reply. I found the site through google and im waiting for the hacking stuff now. Takes quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
Lures and live bait tends to be more populair among scandinavian anglers but I am one of the few, maybe because of my british herritage (scottish) scandinavians who swears eternal faithfulness to deadbait fishing. I use a simple simple rigg and method - just connect my wire traces to the line, put on some sinkers (4 grams normally and none at spring time while they are in the bays) add a treple hook and attach the hook to fish near it's tail and just leave it at the bottom and since I got my hand on my method, I have nevar caught so much pike and I am never going back :) Just had my record with a 112 centimeter and 8 kilogram pike yesterday :) My 1st really big :) Caught on a perch with it's head removed (always remove the head to produce more smell) :) My favorite bait are Baltic Herring (all though you can only have one or max two runs with them), roach and perch - my rod aren't big enough for mackrel but anyhow - theese are the ones I normally use and they have all their advangeses and disadvangeses: The herring produce most smell but are very soft but still my #1 bait. The roach also can smell a bit but they are a bit tougher than the herring but still pretty soft. The perch are probaly the one that smells the least so to remove it's head are very important to produce as much smell as possible but they are the toughest and you can cast out many times with it without the fish flying away :) My recordfish was caught on a small headless perch :)
nice comment, i am moving to finland this summer and cant wait to try the british deadbaiting techniques we use in the uk as it often selects the bigger fish. i was wondering if it worked well. thanks.
Ke ek , I do eel fishing and a man called John sidley wrote in a book to prevent these tangles, place the lead link on the line with a bead , tie a swivel on with a length of line 2inches longer than the lead link and then tie the wire trace to that. John sidley caught loads of big fish , try it.
very good i use same tactic all time big rod and real loaded with 30lb power braid..big bait..popped up always sea baits..lamprey..smelt. joeys..herring..
ORIGINALINDIVIDUAL I use the gemini snap link swivel to attach the trace when float fishing for pike. they are excellent when you are unhooking the fish. you can detach the hooked fish from your rod as soon as you get it on the bank or in the boat
Whenever I go deadbaiting I always think about the water too, you can't buy that kinda instinct. Anyway I disagree with the bait selection piece, cuz where I go fishing nothing has the crocs at deckchairs like oven roast Duck breast. Just rig it up and away you go. Let me know your thoughts. If you're not too busy crapping yourself in the woods.
I tried this setup, everything looks like mick has done, had my mono on the run ring with my trace attached to my braided line..but whenever I reeled in to cast somewhere else the mono was wrapped around the braid? I thought the run ring wouldn't let the lines tangle? Thought if anything it would just spin around but not tangle. Does this happen at times or am I just being really stupid and missing something obvious? Any advice would be great. Thanks
Oh Mick.. Baitrunners? Rod pod? Swinger indicators? Oh how you've changed man... Oh how you've changed.. Still, we as Pike anglers must worship at the alter of Sir Mick of Brown. Good videos!
Pollen are found in Lough Neagh, it is not a coarse fish , but has an adipose fin and is therefore a member of the trout family. They used to be available from fish shops in the towns surrounding Lough Neagh, especially on a Friday, but are seldom seen now, I believe as a species they are dying out. PLEASE DO NOT USE THEM AS BAIT!.
che tristezza, bait runner e scimmiette anteriori da carpisrta già lasciano a desiderare, ma le canne poste sul pod non si possono vedere... e si che pensavo fosse un pescatore come si deve, la fine di un nome....

Been using the same rig as mick for probably 25 years and never need to change it as it’s simple and just works .

marcus s pike will always be pike :) Of course it works. It's more a matter of traditions :)
marcus s You must go fishing for pike in the baltic sea - there can be monsters there :) Just get your hands on some baltic herring and cast out :)
Mick I have learned so much from this. Awesome.
i cud listen to micks voice all day
could*
That made me laugh so hard
Would absolutely love to know where this is as am struggling for spots as I'm Lincolnshire based and just got into deadbaiting
To keep those soft baits on the hook I use a small rubber band and rap it around the bait and treble hook.
Use baiting elastic
Top guy mick brown
Legend
With the Pollen wouldn't the air come out when the treble's put in them?
loved watching brownie, he was always a decent down to earth guy unlike his cocky partner
hello mick, i met you about 5 years ago at lickhill monor , i still go down there every year . hope you well and still getting some whopers

How often this rig can tingling?
Where are you fishing what's the lake called.cheers Garry
Boldings pools
@@GingerHamster19 He says he's in South Lincolnshire so not Boldings Pools.
would the Gemini clip be suitable for float fishing for pike ? Or just ledgering ?
ORIGINALINDIVIDUAL I use the gemini snap link swivel to attach the trace when float fishing for pike. they are excellent when you are unhooking the fish. you can detach the hooked fish from your rod as soon as you get it on the bank or in the boat
Is the bait to float above weed naturally?
would using the gemini clip effect the buoyancy if popping up a deadbait ?
who makes the locking back rests please?
Top man is mick
I have the same chair as you , very good chairs :)
I bet you paid more than mick did lol
Fantastic!

How would I hook a 7-8” smelt with 2 treble hooks?
I would put one in the tail one half way up.

I used something similar when I went fishing in tidal Thames. Same thing happened to me.
Either Mick or one of the crew farts at 3.11😂😂😂😂
How is that funny
bloody hell you look like Soviet tank crew with that cold weather gear on! where did you get it ??
Nice
does he fart at 3.11???
Lol yeah how the fuck did you here that 😂😂😂
Nice one Mick ;)

I thought you get more pike when it's cold
Dan Fitz the milder it is, the more fish in general are actively looking for food
Browny? You around mate? Message me back. Matty
that looks like it will tangle as soon as u cast it
Are the deadbaits frozen? Does anybody know of any advantages/disadvantages of uses frozen/non-frozen deadbaits?
I find using frozen dead baits you can set the hooks easier.
Mick, Pollen isn’t a coarse fish, have a good look, it has an adipose fin like all salmonids.
David Barclay, Co Down.
Great!
never seen Mick use carp style hangers before, thought he was a back biter/ micron ps man...
Good fishing video , just starting making videos as well so please have a look if you get a spare 5minutes
I thought the Lamphrey bait was on the left hand rod !
Roy C Horton he says he changed bait and recast it mate
I saw that ,it was the low tone indicator, left rod.... and that live bite was the right rod....🤣
Wrap the sardine in pva when casting
Well I can't see my hand in front of my face now so I think it's time to go home 😄
just bought too st ra 10000's shame i didnt know about these
nice pikes mate
