We Join Korums Mat Woods on the banks of the River Severn in pursuit of some big stripeys.

Very informative guys thanks, I've been catching Perch and pike with spinners and plugs for years but have been struggling a little with shads, would you fish the shads in a similar way for Zander?
Hi Gez, yes we would fish the same way for zander, zander tend to take the shads as they drop.

@@gez1972 Zander also have a liking for lures that don't vibrate too hard. So our largest size Ready Shad is a good option as it has more body roll and a less frantic tail action than the 7.5cm and 10cm versions
@@KorumFishing I appreciate the advice. With Zander and sometimes Perch they'll follow the shads right to the bank It quite frustrating as some of the Zander and Perch have looked pretty big! I fish a local stretch of Great Ouse, pike are the dominant species but there are a fair few Zander I guess I'm working the lures to fast for them ?
@@gez1972 If you're getting follows all the way to the bank but no bites its usually a speed related problem. However, it can also be the fish just sizing up the lure but not committing. Sometimes a change of colour or shape can bring the rewards you need.
