      Thank you and thanks for this great video. I don't have an air fryer yet.. I might be the last one to purchase it lol It looks like a great tool to have in the kitchen. I'm going to make a note of the one you've recommended. Did you ever figure out a solution for the pan that keep having food stick to it? Is it a pan that comes with this unit? Also, could you please add the details on how to make that Italian soda?

    I started keto in January 2023, then went strict carnivore about 6 weeks in. I dropped 30 pounds so fast. I’m female and post menopausal. The last 2 months I’ve stalled so I allow a few carbs like sauerkraut, or a tablespoon or 2 of fresh pico de gallo from my garden that I’ll never stop growing. I feel so good with this way of eating. I eat mostly ribeyes, bacon, salmon, sardines, butter…. ❤

      @@nadogrl I can only eat braunschweiger , steak, chicken wings, bacon, ground beef, I love brisket but $$$, salmon, King crab, lobster tail, shrimp, pork steaks which are really cheap. Baloney, hotdogs, Ham, hard, salami, mesquite turkey. when the cost of meat is too high. I also like my veggies, but I don't eat as much as I used to. Sometimes I feel like I'm craving them like yesterday. I buy them and then sometimes I don't even eat it. 😄I'm still very new to carnivore and still weaning out the carbs. Right now I have edema in my feet and legs because I'm out of balance. Which I found out is because of low magnesium, and electrolytes are off and maybe potassium. Oh, that I did also have the gastric sleeve so this way of eating is not totally new to me. But I gained some weight during Covid, so I thought I'd try the carnivore diet to get the way back off. Keto was somewhat what I was following already. I also still eat cheese, but not as much as I used to. Oh, I'm not one of the people that's like a strict carnivore. I actually have a problem eating some meat or even looking at it I get grossed out. Sometimes I can't even eat chicken because I can't look at it. I have problems of not eating enough meat or enough food in general, according to my doctors.
      And a weird little fun fact, I found out from my doctors, if you don't eat enough protein, you will stop losing weight, and gain weight. What What I have seen and have been told between 60 to 80 to100+ grams of protein a day. Sorry if I share too much.😁

    So great to see a real perspective on how to ‘family’ this style of eating. There are so many videos saying it’s all or nothing… that just can’t be true! Thank you!

    • @brandonwalker7947
      @brandonwalker7947 Рік тому +2

      Although that may be true you will see a lot of carnivores adding different things to the diet as in fruits and even some veggies but after a week you didn’t give your body enough time to completely detox that’s why there’s that all or nothing thing going on in the carnivore community you should do nothing but fatty cuts of meat and water and bone broth maybe some organs for at least 1-2 months and slowly add things to your diet so you can gauge your bodies reaction to what ever it may be and usually you want to try it for a week or two before deciding on rather to keep it in your diet or not and it’s not that difficult to eat just meat maybe a little discipline but most carnivore say they have less cravings after the first week of hunger cravings but you can always eat more meat during cravings it’s great
      carnivore is mainly animal meat with no real need to track much but with keto you have to keep track of macros and many other things which can be made easier with an app if your not keeping track then your not really on a diet but have a food preference that’s why ketovore diets don’t make sense adding to much meat to a keto diet will kick you out of ketosis and staying in ketosis is what the keto diet is all about
      Love this video yummy looking food and I’m not a medical professional all information is from personal research

      It depends on the person and goals. Young and healthy people can tolerate all kinds of foods for decades. People who are old and trying reverse chronic illness have to be more strict if they want results. If you have been diabetic, for example, you would be unwise to go backwards. Glucose and fructose in any significant amount defeats the whole effort.

    Really nice video. I've eaten a low carb diet for 30 years allowing myself around 12 carbs per day. I've considered going full carnivore but my wife doesn't do well on even a low carb diet so I end up having to cook one or two servings of vegetables each day for her. I do have an air fryer but in truth I also have an old nuwave oven and it's really an air fryer only it's clear so I can actually watch the food cook. I freqently split a chicken in half, season and cook them in the nu wave, turning at the half way point. I keep a small teflon skillet just for eggs. A low temp., lots of butter and one or two eggs and they come out beautiful every time with no sticking. I have an outdoor electric smoker and large cuts of meat like briskets come out tender and tasty and I then divide the meat into two serving meal size chunks and vacuum seal and freeze. I enjoy things like beef tips from them, cooked with beef stock, onions, mushrooms, garlic and then served over miracle noodles. I wouldn't think of cooking fresh greens or green beans without lots of bacon fat in the pot. I do find that it's far easier to cook a meat based diet if you have the freezer space and I have each shelf divided into one type of meat. A seafood shelf, a beef shelf, one for pork, one for poultry. Each has a wide variety of cuts of meat to get a good range of nutrients. It makes alternating meals easy and I can even ask my wife to pick out something for dinner from the freezer.

      @@SpaandTell I follow an atkins diet not a keto diet even though I normally am in ketosis I don't monitor my fats to proteins. I simply eat what I want and toss in as much fats as I want. I also snack on the occasional nuts or seeds. Planters redskin peanuts are a good choice at one net carb per serving. I do add a bit of peanut oil and more salt as it's easy to get low on sodium on a low carb diet and most people don't realize they likely need to increase their salt intake and possibly lower liquid intake if their sodium drops a bit too much. Tonight pizza. Egg and cheese crust, small amount of low carb pasta sauce, more cheese, pepperoni, sausage, black olives, mushrooms, a small amount of peppers and onions, olive oil. Makes a nice change and you can adjust the toppings to suit your diet. It's pretty hard to eat out. Steak places with plain salad and oil and vinegar on the side is one choice. Places like golden corral offer a large selection of meats. Many cafeterias with steam tables allow a good choice of meats and some low carb vegetables. Vegetable servings are big enough for two or three people. In my younger years I'd go out to dance contests and take food along. I'd cook beef and chicken fijita meat, slice, zip lock bag and put them on ice in an ice chest and they'd stay nice for two days at least. You'll still have an issue of enough fats though. Cheese travels well. Boiled eggs also keep for a couple of days and provide both protein and fats. Canned fish is handy. Anytime traveling I'd take a go bag with canned and dried meats and seafood.

I really like keto chow if I have a sweet craving and I make biscuits once and awhile out of the chicken keto chow.. I add garlic salt, parmesan and asiago cheese So it's kind of like the Red lobster biscuits that my family used to like but without the bad flour of course. You'll be glad to hear that the original sauce for Buffalo wings is perfect for you! It's just equal parts melted butter to Frank's (1/2 stick or 4 Tbsp butter to 4 Tbsp of Frank's or double both). Add a tsp or two of vinegar, depending on if you're using 4 Tbsp or 8 Tbsp of the other ingredients. Mix it up and sauce your wings. If you want to get fancy, you can a little garlic powder or a sprinkle if cayenne if you want more heat, but the original was just three ingredients. I used to sauce and then put them back in the air fryer for a couple of minutes to "set" the sauce. Messy, but good. Also, if you want more heat, you can put them on a rack for a minute to sort of dry the sauce a bit and then double them and return them to the air fryer for a couple of minutes.
      I love wings, too!! Didn't like them so much before keto, but now they're a mainstay!

      I think you'd be surprised by the nutrition in meats, especially beef, in terms of vitamins and minerals. I'm guessing that's why you're limiting protein and being sure to include so many veggies. When you compare a serving of whatever veggies to a serving of beef, it's amazing to see where the vitamins really are.
