    Anita! You are “killing it”…destroying all those arguments, one by one about why it’s too hard to go carnivore! If it’s not the expense argument, it’s the lack of variety argument, if it’s not this, it’s that. You’ve shown all those arguments to be moot; if you want to be healthy, you’ll find a way. You’re a “way-maker”! Bravo!

      @@darcy2965 I´ve seen video where man made his own mayo from bacon grease and eggs (plus the seasoning he putted there). Also seen people doing it from melted butter and eggs. Tallow, lard, butter... You can experiment what ever animal based fat you happen to have. All those have little bit different flavors and it depend what you use how stiff it´s going to be after putting it to fridge. All you need is some creativity and try.

    Do not boil eggs. Steam them over boiling water for 15 minutes. Remove from stove and let them sit in the same steamerbpot with the lid on for 15 minutes. They almost jump intact out of the shells. Do not immerse eggs in water. Keep them above the waterline and steam.

      I live in a 130 yr old farm house, it's not tiny for say but minimalistic (no heating or ac and not needed due to how they use to build homes) betas I said it is minimalistic and cast irons are a must! If you take care of them they'll last a lifetime plus generations. I have a skillet that's about 120 yr old and it is my favorite and lower maintenance because of decades of pan seasoning and upkeep.

    FYI: your pork chops will get a nicer sear and they won't curl if you do about 3 knife cuts just thru the membrane that runs around the outside just under the fatty edge. It tends to contract when searing and won't allow the pork chop to lie flat.

    Thank you … your show today was a light 💡 bulb moment for me.
    I’ve been Carnivore for 2 1/2 years. With great success in the first year but since then I’ve been feeling lost. Nothing seemed to be working anymore.
    I’d even started putting the weight I’d lost back on. It seemed everything I ate was giving me indigestion and bloat. Even though I watch all the UA-camrs I didn’t know what to do. I was never hungry and was barely eating anything.
    When I prayed about it the answer I got was “you are not eating enough food” I couldn’t believe it.
    Then when I saw the amount of food you put on your plate today at first I thought I couldn’t eat that much food all day much less at one meal then 💡 OMG … I knew then the answer to my prayer was right... I have not been eating enough food.
    Thank you 🙏 again.

      I eat tons of fat n 16oz worth of the meat in protein (meat, eggs, cheese). I’m only 5-4 and sedentary.
      Never got it right, not many results let alone fat loss (5 month attempt, plus iodine, magnesium, VitD & K daily & ofc quality salt & potassium)
      Now I’m in dire pain with cervical pinched nerve

    • @Lemminaide
      @Lemminaide 7 місяців тому +7

      @@YeshuaKingMessiah I have compassion for you. Anita seems to be having great success with one on one counseling with UA-camrs Alice and Kevin. I’ve decided to get on their waiting list.
      Anita has a video about her counseling with them if you haven’t seen it you might check it out.
      Hang in there. It’s worth it. I’ve had great success in pain relief, lowering blood pressure and blood sugar plus I did lose weight too which was not my goal. I’m optimistic I’ll get back on tract.
      Best wishes

      They cook great on stove!
      I can’t chew regular ribs
      I don’t need oven honestly
      Rarely buy roasts but those would work in a crockpot which I use for broth making.
      Just a skillet and a firepit would feed me in a pinch for weeks, months prob!
      (have to buy broth tho)

    Oven could be used instead of a crockpot, or even an Instant pot for the occasional roast or ribs. But a crockpot gives better results and doesn’t use near the electricity or gas.
    Of course, affording the roast or ribs is more the actual problem.

Also, a good make ahead are egg cups. Dozen eggs 1 cup Good Culture cottage cheese, 1 cup shredded raw cheddar cheese salt pepper and whatever cooked meat bacon or sausage blend all together then add shredded cheese mix and spoon into 12 muffin tin and you’re good for the week 👍🏼can’t get any more simple than a taco bowl of ground beef raw shredded cheese Good culture sour cream and Primal kitchen avocado buffalo sauce 😊

    Hey Anita, new subscriber here, love your recipes, my tip for canned fish is that since the bones can be off-putting I remove them and eat them by themselves when I'm plating my sardines or salmon. That way I still get the benefit of eating them but my fish isn't crunchy.

    • @KetogenicWoman
      @KetogenicWoman  7 місяців тому +3

      I think that's a great tip! I just mash them in because I don't find them crunchy but people have different texture senses I think!

    Thank you for this helpful video, Anita. These days I use my frying pan more than any other kitchen equipment. I tried LMNT last Christmas, it was delicious and expensive but definitely helped with leg cramps however the cost especially in Canada is more than I care to spend except for as a treat. Recently while at the Qualicum Beach Apothacary I discovered a magnesium spray that she makes. What a game changer this product has been and not too expensive in the long run plus it helps me sleep!

    My best tip for Keto/Carnivore is to buy a quality food saver. I am NOT the kind of person with the time or dedication to grill or griddle 2 or 3 times a day.
    Commercial grade chamber sealers are best, but *are* expensive. However the bags are super cheap. Whatever you do… get and use a vacuum sealer.
    Cook loads of meat at one time, then vacuum & freeze several portions for easy future meals.

    • @nvalles2565
      @nvalles2565 2 місяці тому

      A brake bleeder kit with vacuum sealing lids adapter kit will work. You can just use the hose to take out the majority of air and seal with a flat iron. Brake bleeder kit is about $15 and the adapter kit that comes with the tubing was around the same on amazon. I recycle of a lot of jars this way for my dehydrated products.

    I do also use a stickblender to make my butter coffees or my buttered broth w/eggs. I make meat broth (chicken as beef doesn’t have bones anymore unless it’s ribs) and get it simmering then add lots butter, s&p and 3 eggs to 12oz broth. I use 2 tablespoons of butter in this.
    Stickblend and the whites emulsify, the yolks just melt in. Really creamy rich drink. Can just use 4 yolks but I hate wasting my pricey eggs!

    I wanted to share a recipe of something I have been makin'. I'm on an OMAD and STRICTLY carnivore with Monday all day fasting! It's a 3 day - "seafood casserole" kind of creation. Consists of a can of Albacore tuna in spring water, a can of sardines - wild caught in water and a vacuum packed large piece of wild caught alaskan salmon (coho or sockeye) from Trader Joes, all cooked on my outside covered grille. I put the salmon on a foil boat out on the covered grille and while its cookin' - about 12 minutes, I make a foil boat platter with about 24" of foil, folded long way in1/2 and then cup up the outer edge (about an inch) to make a boat. Then scoup in the tuna (after draining water) and the anchovies drained and break up it all and stir it up. After the salmon cooks (about 15 minutes) I scoup it into the mixture and break it all up and stir it in. Then I scoup it all into the foil boat and flatten it out and put a couple scoups of beef tallow (fat) on top for oil.Then back in to the grille for about 10 -15 more minutes. But I also take about 6 local free range raw eggs whipped in a bowl and pour it on top and kind of stir it in. In 10 minutes I have a 3 day casserole that I divide in three and last me for 3 meals (days)! It only comes to about $5 per day to eat! It's awesome!! (I really can't taste a fish taste after cooking - it's amazing and SUPER nutritious!)
