Oh crap! A musical background. I'm glad you tipped me off. It's prolly a great video, but I HHHHH-h-h-hhate background music. It's distracting and nerve-wracking and prevents me from being able to view videos at faster playback speeds. Shucks. I really wanted to see this. 😢
It's definitely nice to have options! What's interesting to me is after 2 weeks of being a strict carnivore, one meal a day of beef and butter and only water to drink, I actually stopped craving carbs, sugar and junk. I only craved meat and still do! It's been since August 7th 2023, zero cheating and so far I've lost 78 pounds! I'm only 2 pounds away from my goal weight. I remember what foods from the American Standard diet taste like, but I no longer desire them! It's been a real eye opening experience! Carnivore 4 life baby!❤
The cinnamon rolls...I don't miss much, but I'm always a little sad when my family has cinnamon rolls and biscuits and gravy for breakfast on Christmas morning. Thanks for the possible solution to my dilemma. 😊
tip for getting those poached eggs to stay nice & tight: drop your egg(s) into a bowl with water and vinegar, let sit on the counter for 5-10 minutes until the white starts to turn opaque, start your water simmering, then carefully lift the firmed up egg on a spoon and gently place into the water to cook; you'll get a nice, neat little poached egg without the whites dissipating into the cooking water
So are you still in your apartment, or back in your van? We have a non-build Ford Transit van, and we love this life! Not full time yet, but dreaming of the day!!! 😃
You are an absolute carnivore genius!!! Thank you for helping the carnivore community stuck in a rut and desperately needing some spice of life! Thank you soo much 🙌
I just made your pork rind biscuit. Fried an egg, Canadian bacon, little bit of cheese. It was amazing! Biscuit held together VERY well. Made one biscuit cut it in half to make my breakfast sandwich. 😋
Boiling my eggs now and cannot wait to try! Using Recipe Below: 1 T gelatin powder, unflavored 1 1/2 c boiling water Add boiling water to gelatin To Vita Mix Add: 12 hard boiled eggs 6 T butter (fat) Pinch salt 1 t vanilla extract 1-2 dashes liquid stevia Gelatin water *optional 1-2 T pure cocoa powder, unsweetened Blend till smooth, add into jars, fridge 6hrs-overnight, til firm.
Just keep ghee for cooking. The milk fat is removed and raises the smoke point by almost double so you can cook on high or medium high without burning. Pick up a Danish dough whisk. It works really well and because it’s flat, nothing gets trapped. Strain and save all bacon grease! That’s liquid gold for flavor.
OMG! I just found your channel today and I’m so glad. I’ve already bought your books on Amazon. I love your food choices. I’m 70 and doing a combination of keto and fasting to lose weight. And it’s working!!
I use 1/2tsp of glucomannon powder (Conjac root) to thicken sauces. The tiniest bit in both cold and hot items works. It has carbs but it takes so little that i dont consider them.
While watching your video my first delivery of pork rind crumbs arrived. I made the biscuits and gravy with roasted chicken, and it was a nice change from plain chicken.
I made the biscuits and gravy for dinner today ya'll and it was absolutely delicious! It really hit the spot!! I added a little fennel seeds to mine to amp the flavor, so so good!
Left over BACON??? I’ve never heard of such a thing. I always have to hide some cooked slices in the fridge so I have some for a snack at work… otherwise, all the bacon I make gets eaten!! lol… Thanks for the fantastic video, Reid! 🤗 ❤
I cannot find the drool icon. YUM, I need biscuits and gravy in my life. Last time I went to Cracker Barrel, I ordered the Chicken fried Steak with biscuits and gravy. Sure did. I had mashed potatoes and the waitress asked if I wanted the gravy on the potatoes. I told her, "on everything". I was in heaven, that has to be a Heaven dish. Now, I will recreate it at home, Thank you!!
FYI, the holes in swiss cheese are added my man these days to emulate the holes from the past. The fermentations have changed over the years causing the holes to not form naturally any longer
This is my most favorite carnivore recipe video of all times along with Carnivore Quest Cassie's recipe videos. Having wonderful recipes like these is a game-changer for us! Thank you 🥰🥰🥰
You should invest in a meat chopper utensil. It has fins and you get a really even crumble on whatever ground meat you’re cooking! I think you would really like using it!! I and so impressed with all your amazing recipes!! Love your humor!!
WOW! Fabulous recipes -- breaks up the monotony of beef and salt and water! I cannot thank you enough and have bookmarked your video so I can try this out! Thank YOU!
Oh my goodness! Once my 80hr fast is over and I've had my bone broth, I will be making some of these recipes! I aim to try ALL of them, and hopefully my kids like them too!
A spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down...the medicine go down...🎶🎶🎶 lol this song popped in my head when I saw the whole milk as an ingredient for the custard lol.
Thank you! I will be surprising my husband with biscuits and gravy this week. First week on carnivore and with recipes like this we will probably make our 1 month goal.
Tip for poached egg. Drop egg into sieve colander with fine mesh and let the watery part drop away, then gently pour the egg into the simmering water. Perfect neat little eggs every time. You can also use ring molds.
Im glad I found your channel. I have started this carnivore diet and am excited to learn new recipes and a new way of cooking. 🎉 New Subscriber here. Thanks for sharing 😊
These recipes look fabulous! I’m getting ready to try Carnivore (a 2nd time) and your recipes will definitely help me keep my cooking interesting. Thanks!
Fine work! I ended up jotting down the two recipes for the English muffins and the crêpe/taco shell. Thank you so much. I hope carnivore serves you as well as it is serving me!
Watching the crepes recipe: Erythritol is very, very bad for the gut and responsible for messing up my tummy -- bad stuff. I offer an alternative that is much better, for your consideration. Monk Fruit (not the kind you buy in the grocery store as it has bad stuff added), Monk fruit is really sweet like sugar and you can bet a big bag of pure Monk Fruit from "Bulk Supplements" -- it is a life saver and won't screw up your tum tum!
I’ve seen that if you rub butter around the rim of the pan before it boils, it keeps the milk from overflowing!!! 🤩 I haven’t tried it yet, but that’d be amazing if it works!
Have you ever tried raw dairy? Many who can’t tolerate commercial dairy are OK with raw unpasteurized. And those who can’t handle cow’s milk may be OK with goat milk. Ask at your local health food store if they know a farmer, or someone who keeps goats. Best of luck!
@@margomoore4527 I did, at a organic farm. It's just a small group who can tolerate raw milk. When they have lactose intolerance. Unfortunately not me. But thanks for the suggestion.
@@countrycitybeach that could be an option to try over a few months when my gut area is more healed. In the meantime I am even more convinced we as adults are (I think) not really meant to anymore to take milk products, it's for the baby to grow. We don't have to anymore, but want it bc it is delicious. (Also a sign, bc it is a weightgainer. )
Bro! These are amazing. Thank you for this. Just wondering about the “bread” you made for the English muffins and the biscuits. Can they be made in advance and do they keep? If I were to make a weeks worth in advance would they keep a week? Do they need to be refrigerated if so? Thanks for all this great info, I really appreciate it!
So the "McMuffin", now I love your biscuit recipe, I have used it A Lot since I watched your steak taco video. Love it. However they are heavy batter, also the more panko the more salty it is etc. I did thin it with water (as the bone broth I make would add way to much salt) but the texture was not to my liking (more eggy). They taste great but too salty, so I will see if I can find some pork panko without the salt (I am using the Porking Good ones currently). Oh... and stupid me tried using a tortilla press as you know how unmanageable these can be to make. Umm.. won't do that again. Adding water helped make them spread but texture was off. But the recipes and ideas are great, keep them up!
I made chicken soup that was yummy. Just cut up chicken, garlic, cayenne and water. After boiling, I whisked it like a smoothie then added butter when served. It surprised me how nice it was.
This is a keeper! Thanks for sharing this, I love to cook and that’s one of the things I miss, is recipes! LOL. I’m going to try all of these until I’m comfortable with the small differences, ❤❤❤
I would really love you to show us the dairy free version of the custard. We haven't made those because they have so much heavy cream. But they look SO GOOD!
Hello. I'm new to your channel and enjoy the recipe options. I'm curious about your weightloss journey, as well as the success of others who follow and use your recipes. Thank you 😊
I really enjoyed watching this entire video. I like the background music in your background sense of snarky sarcasm and the food looks delicious.

What is "left over bacon"?
😂
😂👍🏻🤣
That is funny! Sometimes I'll have some left over the next day, but it's rare lol.

Lol. The southern cooking show that nobody asked for.... cause we didn't know it was an option!
Of course it has always been an option for us Southerner's fry everything we just do it without flour now.
My carnivore diet would be perfect if I could find someone to cook all these recipes for me 😂
Isn't that the truth! It would probably taste better, too!! 😊
You can do it. It only takes practice.
Me too
😂😂
Exactly!!! 😂🤣😂
I think we could all agree to that 😂
That heavy cream overflowing was CLASSIC. Absolutely love that you didn't edit it out. Thanks for the unexpected belly laugh.
Ditto! 😂
The cinnamon rolls...I don't miss much, but I'm always a little sad when my family has cinnamon rolls and biscuits and gravy for breakfast on Christmas morning. Thanks for the possible solution to my dilemma. 😊
I'd call that a once a year Christmas treat. The rare indulgence is not a cardinal sin!
@@susannaholdfield7499 I'm afraid of the reaction my stomach would have, more than anything. 😉

It works the same without vinegar and just nudging the edges back to the middle of egg
Or just buy a good poaching pan ....
