I like your approach. You don’t overthink Carnivore. I’m the same. I still drink coffee and use spices on my food. Not acceptable by the carnivore “purist” but I’m in it for the long term and I need some exceptions to stay consistent which I feel is necessary. You can already see the result in your face. More youthful, clearer appearance. What a difference 👍🏽

Same here. There is no way I can give up spices. Additionally I occasionally have a TWO GOOD brand yogurt (3 net carbs) and sometimes some pistachios. I started back on my [mostly] carnivore plan 2 days ago and am already down 2 pounds. 👏 I also feel better and have less aches. I don't know why I derail myself.... You commented that you weren’t sure the pictures showed much of a difference- I noticed your complexion improved on your face in the video after one day!
Also, as you progressed throughout the video your face muscles and overall skin tone seemed smoother and clearer.
The photos of your body also showed remarkable differences/ changes in fat areas- particularly noticeable at the top of your thighs at the back just below your bathing suit.
Thanks for sharing the foods you prepared. They looked yummy.
I started 3 days ago and I have noticed big improvements in my skin quality- crepe is at least 50% improved on my arms, and large areas of dryness are now baby soft.
Inflammation and pain are almost gone from my knees. The puffiness in my knees and ankles has disappeared. Climbing stairs with amazing ease compared to painful struggle on every step up.
And I’ve melted off over 3 pounds of inflammation and fat! This is a very big deal for me as I’ve had decades of my life where I felt I had very little impact on my body. This nutritional strategy works!
I’ve been watching Elizabeth Bright, Dr Solt, and Dr Pelz- all female docs with very significant and helpful information for women about carnivore diet.
Here’s to your health and success!

I've noticed on me that when the scale goes up a little or stays the same, it means I'm losing inches and building muscle . as long as I'm not gaining actual body fat.
And all this began when I started eating more . I do keto / carnivore . I'm 5 ft tall and have 50 lbs to lose, and in the beginning, I wasn't eating enough, so I decided to do a reverse diet and got myself up to eating between 1700 - 2000 calories and I feel better and I'm losing inches and I eat on some days 0-50 carbs and once a week like on Saturday because it's my busiest day I'll eat sometimes more like up to 50 or even 100g of carbs. Then, on Sunday, I'm back on my keto / carnivore diet all the way till next Saturday.
Now, I don't always eat that many carbs on Saturday. But even if I do , I'll make sure that whatever I'm eating is based around keto / carnivore. Anyways my point is that don't forget to take measurements, every week or once a month . When my scale wasn't changing as in going down . It's because I was losing inches. So in 3 months I lost all around 18 inches. I just wanted to be helpful. 😊 Hope this helps someone who needs it. Just found your video and subscribed.

Thank you. I definitely needed this encouragement. I have been doing carnivore for just under a month now and have lost 7 lbs. I was down almost 10, but over the last couple of days, it crept up a couple of lbs. I have occasionally had full fat yogurt and cheese. I may have to tweak what I eat a bit to see if I start losing again. But, until I seen your reply. I won't concern myself with the scale. Because I have 1 arm, it is a but difficult to measure myself, but pictures may just help me with seeing results. I am 56 and 5'3", and I don't feel bloated or gasey anymore. So that's definitely a huge plus. My goal is to not feel those things and hopefully get rid of 50lbs. Again, thank you.

    • @christinabruce7859
      @christinabruce7859 Рік тому +1

@Jenny Mayor Yeah a month is awesome. keep doing what you're doing.
Your body has to adjust. Also if you're drinking plenty of water along with electrolytes that helps too.
It is encouraged to have fat with your meats. Like eating fatty steaks, Bacon, chicken, etc. And if you're doing that, and you're getting plenty to eat then I'd say keep going. 😉 Eating this way builds muscle so yeah it'll show on the scale your weight is up a
little. Have you ever watched Dr Ken Berry ?

For anyone considering the transition long term do realize that it is highly likely you will have an upset stomach for the first month but then it calms down eventually. This can range from 3-6 weeks for most people. It’s your stomach transitioning from carbs to fat/ketones for energy and it takes some time. This is usually why most people don’t last unless they have another medical reason driving’s this decision. I’ve been keto/carnivore now for 6 months. Down 32 lbs and feel fine. Just keeping it real for those interested. 1 week really tell’s nothing, imho. That’s merely water weight during the first week.

I feel fabulous and my weight is down from 177 to 163. My energy is through the roof! I'm beef, tallow, eggs with minimal butter/dairy and salt. I do still drink 1 cup of coffee a day. Be careful for hidden sugars in that redbullbut I totally understand needing a vice. Good luck with your journey. I'm loving mine. Also I cook my steaks in my airfryer. 400 degrees for 5 min per side. It contains the grease better and will reduce the amount of grease film in your kitchen.

    Jason, good work! 👍😁
I'm just starting my journey, I have 1 complication. I'm hypoglycemic, and I'm also on a CPAP machine. My AHI is only 150.. My Air pressure is turned up some. I've been in the machine since September 2022.
I don't have a problem going all meat, i worry about vitamins - specifically A&E. From what i gather, it's not s big deal.
I kind of made myself sick, December 6th, 2023. I don't know what happened exactly, if it was the tap water in my CPAP machine, or severe dehydration. Whatever it was, knocked my butt out. I didn't have any sense of balance, nauseous, and generally didn't feel good.
So, I'm drinking no less than 80 ounces of water daily, and I've kicked all the sweets out of my life. I'm down from 290, to 277. My goal is 180-200. I'm not focused on a number, but more so being healthy.

I enjoyed your video. I live in mallorca Spain and have been keto for over a year. But I have done the same as you. I did 5 days carnivore beef butter bacon eggs and salt. I did have coffee and tea with a knob of butter. I felt amazing too. But like you I like a little brocoli, cauliflower, asparagus, and avocados. I also like a few pecans and Brasil nuts sometimes a fullfat greek yoghurt. I also inlude naybe 1 large strawberry or 4 raspberries if it fits in with my carb count. So now I am adapting my ketovore a little. It's fabulous, I am managing to stick with 22 carbs a day with all my meats and eggs too. It's incredible. This way I know I can maintain my lifestyle Good luck my love. Best wishes from Debra Hart

Probably more to do with trying to do inventive meals for the partner and me getting fatigued and quite happy just to pick! Also in the UK we don’t get the variety of cuts you do which is shame. I think I’ll go more ketovore. I love meat, eggs and bacon. Dr Ken Berry has a video on making “bacon chips”. It’s taking a pound of bacon, cutting it into fourths, putting the slices into a tall pot in the stove and covering. Every 2-3 minutes, stir. Repeat until desired crispness. I scoop out the bacon from the pan into a bowl with paper towels. I save the bacon fat to use in other cooking or to make bacon mayonnaise!!!

I’m just starting the carnivore diet but I was already super drawn to more steak butter and salt, so it was an easy transition to just focus on the things I actually want to eat vs the things I’m forcing myself to eat for the sake of a “balanced” or “pro-metabolic” meal. I felt great but I also looked like a beached whale at the end of every night from the bloat.
So just being about a week into carnivore I’ve already lost about 4 pounds of my PCOS bloat. It’s so refreshing! I don’t intend to go zero carb, but for right now I am low carb.
