My husband was doing a keto diet for 3 months and not losing. I finally got him to stop with the cheese and go strictly meat (we do still use cream in our coffee), and in one week, he dropped 9 pounds. I am at my ideal weight. After 7 months, I lost almost 50 pounds and down 10 inches off my hips. ❤

I'm a 76 year old woman who started strict carnivore 5 months ago. It was EASY to start it...I didn't have the challenges he's talking about. I lucked out the first week bc Meijer had an amazing holiday sale on ribeye and ny strip roasts. Got at least two months of meals out of them. I lucked out with another sale by Meijer 2 months ago when they over ordered gorgeous chuck roasts and knocked the price down 75%. Filled my freezer. I use my Dreo Chefmaker that has a million options including sous vide, you name it. I use my crock pot for the chuck roasts and recently got into chicken thighs skin on bone in for chicken soup (with just salt in my crock pot). I remove the cooked skins and pan fry them till they're crisp. Amazing! I love ground beef and cook it till it's mega dark and crispy, eating the rendered fat along with it bc it's delicious and healthy. I eat mostly hard boiled eggs daily to fill in the gaps between meals if I get hungry. I like scrambled eggs, too, and recently added my favorite cheese back in bc it doesn't bother me...extra sharp white Vermont cheddar. Also get bacon...eat half pound every day!!! Love it super crisp!! Eat pork, too...put it in my Dreo under air fry. Never get bored, ya'll. I was vegetarian/Keto for decades until the oxalates in the veggies/fruits/grains started making me unhealthy. When I began carnivore, I went through 4 weeks of excruciating pain from oxalate dumping, crying daily until it stopped. But I'm 76 so it was a lifetime of eating those toxins/poisons!!! Good luck, ya'll!!! JUST DO IT!!!

@@bonitahamilton5762 LMNT salts have a chocolate lover's box, real chocolate, no sugar. I put it in coffee, make mocha. If you have to eat chocolate, get high quality German chocolate, a high cacao rate-85% to 90%, it's really low in sugar. Have one square if you can! Sugar or carbs must be 4 grams or lower, otherwise your body will release insulin. Or, you could make your own chocolate, organic cacao powder, butter, stevia. Chocolate is high in oxalates, remember. Better yet, when I had cravings, I just ate a tablespoon of butter, or some bacon. It really helps. But, if you are a milk-chocolate lover, forget it. That is loaded with sugar, and will kick you out of ketosis. Good luck, my dear.

Do you eat the chocolate while you do other things like watch tv? Again food and tv combined (or any screen) pack an extra dopamine punch. TV dinners were created to disconnect us from family and bind with the screen.

Bacon ... I bought an inexpensive meat grinder and I grind up bacon myself then I cook the ground bacon in a cast-iron pot on the stove top. This makes fabulous bacon-bits and a good amount of bacon grease to store in a glass container. The bacon bits I keep in a zip-loc bag in the freezer and use them as I wish. They are great sprinkled on eggs or any way you wish.

My husband and I committed to going carnivore for 3 months back in November 2023. We both feel so good now we're not going back. Meat heals. My husband no longer has acid reflux. I have had asthma my whole life and in fall and winter I usually have at least one attack every day and sometimes multiple attacks. Since the first 2 weeks of carnivore I have not had even one attack. My sleep is better, my mental focus is amazing, high energy, and very importantly no anxiety or depression. I could go on but I'll just say the benefits are impressive. Give it 90 days. But research here on UA-cam how to start because the first couple of weeks can be brutal as your body dumps the toxins and adjusts to the proper human diet. You might decide to turn to carnivore in stages. Dump the sugar and refined carbs right away. But do your research and decide for yourself what you think will work for you and how much you are willing to go through. I promise things will improve eating this proper human diet. I am 76 and feel so good I almost can't believe it. My best wishes for your healing journey. You can do it!❤

Added, salt, butter & bacon grease, just small amount . So breakfast is done. I have pork chops in fridge, not sure how to cook those yet. Maybe fry them in bacon fat. Anyways I will press forward. To stay aware and motivated, you could ask yourself every day: 'Do I want to help my body live? Or help it die?
Then keep a 12 step Daily Journal of your cnvr journey, beginning with:
1-Intro detailing WHY you want to do cnvr and
2-How you feel about it being a new way of life
3-Listing what you need to do to be successful.
4-What foods to have and what to avoid.
5-How you feel (felt) on the day of your decision.
6-Then a daily list of what you eat and most importantly,
7-How you felt on that day.
    8-What mistakes you made and
    9-How you fixed them.
{Be totally honest with yourself} and
10-Do a 7, then 30 day assessment and record this, stating everything that worked and what didn't and how you managed the first 7/30 days.
11-Refer to this journal whenever you get disheartened, to help you push through the hard stuff, to remind yourself what it was like in the beginning. To remind yourself why you are doing this.
    Then...
12-share this idea with others, to help them stick to the plan. x

My favorite carnivore meal over the past year is chuck roast and eggs. I buy this huge chuck roast at Costco and cook it in the Instant Pot for 2 hours. Then I chill it in the refrigerator over night. That’s key. This prevents it from shredding. Then I cut it up into cubes. Has so much great fat marbled in it. I make scrambled eggs cooked in bacon fat, and I put a huge chunk of butter over the meat and warm it up in the microwave, and put the eggs on top. It’s so satiating, I can’t eat this and be full all day!

I drive all day long throughout the week, so this is a little bit more tricky for me. But what I do is either cook up some chunks of steak, pot roast, or some seasoned meatballs and have them available for my early morning meal ahead of time. Then for dinner I have already steamed seven eggs in the morning that I put in the refrigerator and have ready for me and I make some roast beef that I can slice up and have along with the eggs so it's mainly finger foods. On weekend mornings when I'm not having to work, I will make some scrambled eggs with a lot of butter and maybe a little bit of cheese. This formula has worked fantastic for someone on the go constantly! (Oh and I forgot I also get some thick cut hickory smoked bacon and slice that into four separate pieces and make a ton in the oven and have those as a little treat when I need something crunchy and tasty.)
