@@VIIZZZYYI had a few friends who knew him through the punk scene back in the day. According to all of them, Merle, and their mom he was able to turn it off when off stage. I'm pretty sure theres a GG documentary that his him and his family just hanging out around a pool, having a normal time.

Allin is basically everything that can be wrong about 70-80’s punk (and edgy underground stuff in general) especially at his time: a clearly ill man is acting out violentlly and destroying himself and everyone around him, and people around pay money to see the freak show and/or cash out on it
I would definitely suggest listening to GG & The Jabbers if you're a punk fan, it's legitimately good music!
