    Update on Backpedal:
As i was researching some weird genres, i came across an iceberg video and i listened to the full 3 hours or whatever it was lmao and one genre that caught my interest was "Backpedal". So i UA-cam the genre and came across another video "How to make Backpedal" by Pagefire. I listened to the story he told without watching the other half/ending of the video and just believed the story. Turns out it was an April fools joke and he made up the genre lmao. Moral of the story, do more research or at least watch the entirety of videos you use for research.
-Yours truly, the biggest fool of April xoxo

by the way goregrind and pornogrind (idk about scatgrind) are different from regular grindcore, because there's more death metal/brutal death influence, more groovy riffs, and pornogrind has a specific kind of these wet vocals

There's a band called stalaggh, it's really disturbing, it's like noise, but the vocals are the screams of patients in mental asylums, it has a crazy back story, however it might be fake, but either way it's really disturbing one of the albums is called pure misanthropia, I've listened to it a few times and it made me feel uncomfortable at first but after I listened to it more It actually feels really comforting, I'm not sure why

    • @FatSynthDude

It's very real. I used to have one of their albums. The thing is that it doesn't sound that weird because it's all done very meticulously and melodically. Even though they're conceptually scarier, I'd say something like Mallsoft is more aurally jarring.

Black dream is really great, thank you for introducing it. Sounds kind of like a more noisy version of Dark Ambient, or similar to some Death Industrial. Some other recommendations:
    - Harsh Noise Wall (example: Werewolf Jerusalem - God has shot himself, Vomir - Claustration)
    - Gorenoise (Phyllomedusa - Suburban Pest, almost every Bobby Maggard project)
    - Power Electronics (Sutcliffe Jügend - When Pornography is no longer enough, Deathpile - GR) Not sure if this belongs here though, it's not that obscure, but it still is a great genre. And it makes Horrorcore lyrics look like a bedtime story.
    - Industrial Bluegrass (Caroliner - I am armed with quarts of blood)
    - Black Noise (Abruptum - Obscuritatem advoco amplectere me, Emit - The dark bleeding)
    - Ambient Noise Wall
    - Indeterminacy/Aleatory music

Correction Ska is reggae’s OLDER brother. Ska was first, hell bob marley is mistakenly called a “legendary reggae singer” when he and the Wailers were a Ska band
for my peeps that don’t know much about ska, early ska is COMPLETELY different from the more well known Two-Tone. Play do the dog and redemption song and you wouldn’t think to call redemption song ska. Sublime was probably the only newer ska band of the time to make like “real” ska (two tone is also why ska has the classic checkered print. Thanks Jerry Dammers)

    Here are some I'm into:
Funeral doom metal: To doom metal as doom metal is to extreme metal in general, a lot of such acts are also death metal, starting with the very first, Voj
Ambient black metal: Mixes dark ambient and black metal, often mixed with depressive, raw, and/or doom, and Xasthur goes with all 3 a lot
Ritual dark ambient: Ritualistic dark ambient, very experimental and often has elements of folk music and also often makes that terrifying, and sometimes mixed with black metal, such as with some songs by Vulture, the Dutch one
Drone metal: A particularly extreme form of doom metal with at least some form of droning sound, usually the guitar
Drone doom ambient: Dark ambient with a drone metal influence, but does not have to be, like SunnO))), which does have a small amount of metal
Bass guitar metal: Metal that uses a bass guitar instead of the typical variety, often mixed with drone metal, and early TenHornedBeast qualifies for both
Horror ambient: Dark ambient with a heavier emphasis on the dark, like the kind of music in an actually scary horror movie soundtrack, Dusthallowed mixes that with industrial black metal, and Vulture counts as well
Industrial black metal: Mixes black metal with industrial, the exact execution varies, but earlier Aborym certainly counts

Lowercase: In the given example, that's not the 1st time I heard of paper being used as a musical instrument. There was the one off Sardinian black metal act Papéri (not the only solo project of the guy behind it, who still has others) which used paper as percussion in a surprisingly drum-like manner. As for lowercase in general, that would provide some very interesting textures to some experimental metal, likely of the dark ambient subvariety
Easycore: I guess I may have heard this before, just not that it was a thing
Ska-metal: That would sound interesting at the very least
Nintendocore: There's a band called Xexyz which combines this with black metal, and it's as strange as it sounds
Jazzgrind: From what jazzgrind acts I've heard, those are generally too chaotic for my tastes. Some acts with Jared Moran combine it with death metal
Porngind/scatgrind: I can't stomach this kind of stuff, and it often intersects, which only makes it worse
Backpedal: I'm not into backwards music, so this is out for me
Horrorcore: Rap is very much not my thing unless it's funny. Comedy horrorcore would certainly be something it would take some effort to pull off. As for ICP, they're actually as evil as the lyrics imply, and with a "Christian fundamentalist" excuse no less
Black Dream: The most notable example I've heard is the dark ambient material of the otherwise black metal act Nocturno. Otherwise, there are a few more obscure acts like that, such as Fractured Persona, which has a funeral doom metal influence while being pure electronic

Pornogrind and scatgrind are nothing like regular grindcore but more like goregrind. You even have 2 kinds of traditionnal grindcore. 1 that bends toward death metal and one that bends toward punk. Insect warefare/napalm death are good examples of deathgrind and discordance axis/drop dead would be good examples of punkish grindcore (wich i would consider more traditionnal grindcore but thats my opinion)

Pornogrind (idk for scatgrind) is derived from goregrind, not grindcore directly, and surprisingly some bands are actually really good listens (CBT, Gut, Rompeprop)

Good video! Some other bizarre genres include crunkcore, gorenoise, harsh noise (and harsh noise wall, which is the same thing but with little variation theoughout), NSBM (they’re all nazis, fuck NSBM), and powerelectronics (a harsh genre full of very questionable themes)

alot of these are genres I know of and I think I should be concerned that most of them are metal 0_0 oh if youre ever gonna make another video, you should include extratone and/or its subgenres like supertone and hypertone. I think itll be an interesting topic to dive into

I started my own genre. Its called " I don't like gabber/hardstyle because it doesnt sound enough like a latin freestyle remix of pink floyd and muse playing chiptune metal in a renaissance faire in space"
And its sub genre " i dont like trap metal because it doesnt sound enough like ozric tentacles playing industrial rave music in an 80s sci fi movie in miami"
