My dad died in 1993 and I played this song over and over, when it came out. Now, watching Taylors beautiful son play this song, is truly cathartic. His dad is looking over him and will guide him thru this life, just like my dad has guided me thru mine. He is truly one talented young man and I can't wait to see where his path in life takes him. Thanks Pink! You always know how to touch my soul, with your reactions. ♥️
Just before were this started, Dave is introducing Shane. He said he has never seen anyone hit the drums harder than this kid. It was a touching moment.
Especially from the guy who did the "Smells Like Teen Spirit" drop.
Such an emotional performance, playing on his Dad's drum kit at his tribute but when he kissed the snare drum I lost it.
What amazes me is the mix has the drums turned way up. They really gave that young man his moment to honor his father.
That young man played his heart out. He played for his dad and his dad was watching. Truly a beautiful thing.
So emotional watching that at the end of the streamed show. Such talent, but Shane having the composure to do that at his age so soon after his Dads death is extraordinary. Did Taylor proud for sure!!

I had seen this before. Taylor was the biggest Queen fan. Roger Taylor drummer had took Shawn under his wing. Brian May had Hawkins playing drums on some his tracks. Plus Brian & Roger played with Foo Fighters a lot. 🔥❤️🔥

Historic reference. What is a Foo Fighter. Name wwii pilots gave to ufo encounters they had on thier long trips to Germany. They called them Foo fighters. Love the band. Love you dear.

I remember in 2012, my Grandma passed away from lung cancer. During the cross-country drive I took to visit her one last time, at some point this came on while my iPod was on shuffle, and I just cried my eyes out.
I could literally see the lump form in your throat when the video started. This is such a precious tribute to an awesome man. I don't even really like Dave Grohl because of the total nonsense that ensued after Kurt's passing. But I have to give credit where credit is due & he did form an amazing band full of outrageously talented musicians w/ the Foo Fighters. I can see, hear & feel Shane's emotions in this performance. Taylor raised 1 helluva young man! I can feel God's presence in this performance so BIG! Like, YEEESSS! Shane was absolutely overtaken by The Spirit & his Dad's spirit was all over him as well! I love the pure, raw expressions you see in his face that are so telling. I love the innocent aggression that he was allowed to leave on that stage! And his talent, especially at his age, is so unbelievable! Amen! And hell yeah!

Hey Pink. Really good and genuine reaction. New subscriber here. I’m a huge Foo Fighters fan and I caught a lot of the tribute concert online and have been watching reactions to this particular video recently. Definitely a moment that makes you feel. When I watched the end of the video where you talked about the rock genre being unique it made me think of this because it relates to this video as well.
I don’t know if you’ve ever heard of The Warning - a trio of young sisters who play hard rock music. (Actually - I see you reacted to one of their songs 3 years ago!) They opened for Foo Fighters in Mexico City just a week before Taylor passed in March 2022 and he and Dave had a ton of praise for them. Since you just honored Taylor (and Shane and Dave) with your reaction, I think you might be interested in this. Definitely worth checking out if you're open to it.
