I cried! Still hate seeing pictures of that horrible day...we should never forget because it could happen again! It's said history repeats itself... I believe that, it's just when and where...
I probably shouldn't bring this up but Oprah had wives of firefighters who left their wives to hook up with the widows who's husband's were killed on 9/11!! Firefighters wives were crushed and very angry!!! Couldn't blame them! It was shocking! Did anyone else see that show...sad!!!

Great song, great reaction! I was in the army when 9/11 happened. I served with Patriots from all over this great country. All different colors and religions. Even gay guys, but we didn't talk about that back then. We all fought side by side, American brothers and sisters.

I just got back from a war.
Darryl and I share a few 6 degrees of separation though we've never met. My late cousin was his drummer, then on his first USO tour overseas, he was escorted from base to base by a young 2nd Lieutenant US army, my younger brother. He has a song, it's actually a cover of the original- POW 369

In my opinion, one of the most important overall points to make note of with songs like these is this:
they are not written, produced and released as any form of contrived propaganda in order to convince anyone of anything, they are simply true and accurate heartfelt expressions of what comprises the deepest souls of most Americans across this incredible land. May the stars, stripes and eagles fly forever over my beautiful homeland.

Wish our country could get back to like it was on 9/12/01 we were United. We were all red, white, and blue.
I met Aaron almost 30 years ago when he came to Alaska to perform and he was so kind and genuine. He took the time to talk with an impressionable 20 year-old kid and I wish I still had that picture with him. I still remember how I felt that day when I kept saying to myself how I wish he was my dad.

I've been to so many Aaron Tippen concerts, I have lost track!! I will go and see him every time he is in town. I have had the absolute privilege of meeting him twice now. I actually, have a pair of jeans he signed, twice!! I also have several pictures of him. I have been a fan since the beginning of Aaron's career!! Love Aaron!!!!
My family comes from Scotland.... North of Inverness, I believe. We had to take the last name of Laird when we came to America. We have been serving our country ever since. So many of my family have died for our dream of freedom. It's wonderful to see a Scott who appreciates our chosen home. You make me VERY proud of my heritage. I an so patriotic, my heart swells with pride and love for this country whenever I hear any song about the USA No we are not perfect far from it but as any family we squabble and try to find fair and good solutions. America was fought for and made for the people who want peace and freedom. We are definitely independent people who are creative, hardworking, brave and courageous . We love our God our faiths, our families and most of all OUR HOME-- THE USA. THOSE that want to harm us and bring us down remember this WE WILL fight for our home. Do not believe that the left liberals stand for us the majority. WE STAND FOR THE AMERICAN WAY. ALL THE WAY. I love that I can watch a video of you, a Scottish guy, and see the respect you have for the U.S. and patriotism (whether it be in those here or in your own countryman). Thank you! We Need more people like you! Unfortunately that isn't what you see being pushed in our mainstream these days over here in America, much of it is quite the opposite. Too many focus only on the negative aspects of our nation's history and refuse to acknowledge how far we have come or how much light our country has brought out in the world. It is a privilege and a blessing to have been born here. I thank God for his grace in letting this be my home, as well as thank those who fight and give their lives to keep it that way. There has been a lot of blood and sacrifice that has gone into making our nation what it is, and the ideas of freedom and liberty have been spread exponentially through that sacrifice. To not acknowledge that is just a tragedy. So as I said before, thank you! For someone from outside to recognize this, even when it seems so few from within can, is truly appreciated. I was blessed to meet Aaron Tippin in Tunica, Mississippi. At the time, my son was a Presidential Guard at Camp David and he asked me to tell my son "thank you for his service." Very nice man and I love his voice! He sang this song for us. He was there for a park dedication to all our armed forces!

I've seen Aaron in concert, he was great. He's from the state that I live in, South Carolina and for his daughter's high school graduation he bought her a used car from the same dealership that my daddy used his entire life.

He actually had written the song a couple of years prior to 9/11 but it didn't fit well with the album that he was working on at that time so he held onto it for a future album and when 9/11 occurred he realized that was the right time to release it.
I really appreciate this music video. Most of the time, in patriotic videos like this, it feels like American Jews are forgotten, despite America having the 2nd highest Jewish population in the world.

I saw a documentary about immigrants coming to the US and many of the people said they cried when they saw the Statue of Liberty. They knew they had found the land of the free.
I would love to watch that documentary. I teared up imagining them saying that and how they must of felt. Grateful relieved and hopeful for the promise of a chance to succeed with their dreams peacefully.
