Steve, the rake comment, got a chuckle out of me. I’m glad the butter police were on top of their game. They tried to sneak one by us, but they were all over it. I think that might have been a slippery slope. Take care and have a great week.
OMG, Colton's adventure with Echo had me in stitches. The joy we get from children cannot be beat! Thanks for the day brightener AND the Perfect Keto heads up. Got my order placed.
The Mc Donald's coffee thing - the woman was 78 and got 3rd degree burns on her pelvic region from that cofee and was hospitalized for 8 days and needed skin grafts. Her lawyers initially just wanted them to cover her medical expenses and when they refused, it escalated. People use this all the time and it's not a good example because she was seriously injured. The butter thing is ridiculous though. Your grandson is hilarious. Insane that Alexa didn't question any of that😂. She refuses to understand regular words from me😂
@neemad. Curious as to when do people need to be held responsible for their actions. i would never think it was anyone's fault, other than my own, if I spill anything, anywhere, especially if it's a hot item and in a car.
@@pattylyman7907 Sue for damaged clothes for dropping coffee in your lap? No, that's stupid, take responsibility. Sued for getting third degree burns because the coffee was something like 195 degrees, which no reasonable person would expect ... bit of a different issue.

I'm glad you like it. I think I've cleaned up the issue with excessive ads showing up. Likely this winter, I'll do some more "clean up" and little aesthetic changes to the site, but it will largely feel like what everyone is used to.
The Costco butter story reminds me of a time I was in line in a local ice cream shop and there was a special Reese’s Peanut butter sundae promotion and the man next to me ordered one for his wife and when asked if he wanted the crushed peanuts on top, he said no. Apparently his wife was allergic to peanuts. The poor kid making the sundae was visibly confused about what to do and I even struggled with saying something but kept my mouth shut. I’m for personal responsibility but sometimes people need to be to borrow a tiny bit of common sense from others.
Wipe your but with a rake 🤣🤣🤣 I always thought the coffee thing was ridiculous until I read an article. She had 3rd degree burns and almost died. Hi Steve👋🐈 This relates to OxyContin abuse. In '98, I had an accident that left me with an incomplete severed spinal cord at cervical levels of C4-C5 & C5-C6. After surgeries, with a couple of years of physical therapy and high levels of Neurontin and OxyContin, my life was somewhat manageable. I was walking, driving, sociable... I had a life! I was even able to ride my road bike again, trained for 60-mile organized bike rides. Then, the OxyContin dilemma, opioid dosages plummeted. I now have to live with intense peripheral pain because IDIOTS abused OxyContin. At 71, I now must use a walker, can not drive, can not ride a bike, I reside alone... my remaining years have become shortened. 🐈
First, I'm sorry for your pain. Second, this seems to be the case with a lot of things from cold medicine (meth) to being required to show an ID to purchase compressed air (the type to clean out your keyboard) because some idiots decided you could get high with it somehow.
@SeriousKeto First, I sincerely appreciate your sympathy, Steve. Second, I must apologize for going on a whinning-rage. The Costco thing reminds me that Bleach bottles say not to drink it. Who doesn’t know that butter is dairy? Also there is that PS5 ad where all these people are jumping around a building that keeps moving (obviously AI). There is a line at the bottom that says “So not try this”. Frankly, if someone tried to do that…natural selection is what I think. 😂😂
The ad thing must be doing that to a lot of website, I was trying to get a crochet pattern from a site a few days ago and it was just like what you described--ads everywhere and between steps. So annoying. I clicked off the page to find the pattern elsewhere. But at least on your site, I'd give you the benefit of liking your channel. 🤣 Speaking as someone with several food allergies, I know what foods to avoid and I have learned to check the labels for things you are not sure about. A few years ago I bought some cauliflower crackers at Aldi thinking they were ok. After eating a few my tongue and throat started itching. I checked the label and it contained mushroom power. I didn't even think there would be mushrooms in crackers but there it was. Thankfully I'm not super allergic but I did eat enough for discomfort. But it was on me for not fully checking the ingredients.

Hi Steve. Thanks for explaining how the Amazon thing works. I always thought I had to purchase only the content creator’s listed products. Good to know. Valuable information. I shop a lot on Amazon. Not very expensive things. I think the most expensive item I bought was my Instant Pot, but hey, it all adds up, right? Looking forward to tomorrow’s video. Tom Brady is 47. The only reason I know this, besides being a Pats fan, is that he was born the year I got married. One of those facts that stays with me as we watched so much football, lol.
Yeah, I realized while editing the video that he's quite a bit younger than me (and Favre). Interestingly, I was teaching a class in downtown Boston when the Pats had their parade after winning their first SuperBowl with Brady. I stopped the class so that everyone could hang out by the windows and watch.
Oh, to be 5 again!! 🤣 Loved Colton’s shopping list….I’m sure I never would have made a list like that. Haha (yes, I probably would have, & probably did!! 😜) Apparently, the word of the week must be BUTT! We just love you, Colton!
5:05 My first class in college, a math class, the instructor had this written on the chalkboard: Common sense, the least used of all the senses. I've never forgotten that. June 27th, 1988, Tyson vs Spinks. I'll never forget that either. I was stationed in Guam at NAVCAMSWESPACGUAM, a young whipper-snapper ET4, and we were all given permission to leave work early to go to a fellow sailor's home to watch the fight. Man, we were ready with all the munchies, beverages, and main dishes, and the fight lasted what? 90 seconds! 😂 What a disappointment that was! But we got off early and I don't recall going back to work. My world clock is telling me Guam is 17 hours ahead of where I am in the Rocky Mountains. Seems like it was mid day when we all left to go watch the "fight". And here's a real gee whizzer to me, just today as I was driving my work vehicle on the freeway, I look over at an odd license plate, and it said: Guam! And I think to myself, Guam!? Man, I tell you, in Guam, cars rusted away long before the engines ever went out! 😂
Good to know about the commission you can get if we go through your store and shop Amazon - cause I buy a LOT of stuff from Amazon. Rather have the money in your pocket that Amazon's! Will do that going forward with my shopping.
My training was in boxing, but because the Milwaukee Rumble has a cash prize, it has to be sanctioned by a professional organization and I guess no boxing organization would do it. Consequently, it was sanctioned by the PAKA and they added the requirement that you attempt at least 4 kicks per round.
I have YT Premium, so I don't see ads on videos. I don't know if YT looks at who is viewing a video when it determines ad revenue. I'd think they'd do something to keep a creator from just keeping multiple PCs playing their own playlists all day.
Totally agree on the butter. If you have a legit milk allergy and don’t know butter is off the table (no pun intended) then I’m not sure any amount of labeling is really going to help you. The amount of waste involved there just makes me sad. Throw some additional signage on it and sell at a discount. I’d be all over that. Butter like doubled in price at Sam’s seemingly overnight and has never come back down.
Steve, question, if I already have something in my cart but I didn’t go through your link to put it into my cart, will Amazon still give you commission if I go through your link to go back to my cart later when I go to buy what’s in my cart? Hope that makes sense.
I love that Colton did that with your Alexa. He’s so funny and smart. Kids definitely are so smart these days lol. I watched the Tyson fight too and was hoping he would win but I think he held back but I won’t go into that 😊. It’s crazy Costco had to recall that much butter. Such a shame and a waste.
On the bright side, it only cost me the price of a month of Netflix. I'll do a little binge watching and then cancel again at the end of the month. A much better deal than the $50 my dad and I paid to watch the Tyson-Berbick championship fight in 1986 that lasted less than 2 rounds.
@ I’m sure Netflix made a pretty penny from everyone signing up just to watch it. Maybe you will get your money’s worth lol. I would hate to spend all that money and it only last 2 rounds. I’m sure a lot of people were upset about that!
McDonalds deserved to get sued. In was discovered in court that McDonalds found that their coffee sales increased if they made the coffee scalding hot. The real damning evidence was that they knew more people would get hurt but they believed that they would make more money than they would have to pay out for injuries.
Kids of all ages can't be trusted alone with Alexa. Our "dad band" rehearses in the basement of a member, and he's got an Alexa unit down there - needless to say, we add items to his shopping list whenever he leaves the room, and most of our suggestions are significantly less mature than those emanating from Colton's brilliant mind. I'm sure the guy's wife knows it's us.
That butter thing made me crazy. Imagine all the people in the world who don't have enough to eat. Sickening. However, Colton's additions to your shopping list is kind of hilarious. I love mine for the shopping list and for reminders to put the clothes in the dryer or take something out of the oven! But I don't have 5-year-olds hanging at my house!
@SeriousKeto i thi k ot was called hot coffee. And I think the machine malfunction and she got 3rd degree burns had to get skin graffs. Mcdonald's refused to pay then made it look like a frivolous lawsuit
I watch videos on my iPad….often when someone says “seriously” Siri answers! 😂 Thanks Steve ❤ I might be absent for a while….not really sure if you would notice, but, I’m not leaving. My sweet granddaughter passed away….😢💔
Great video Steve! I opened my cardboard egg carton and there was a label "Allergen: contain eggs". 😅 Seriously what else would an egg shaped object be? Silly Putty case?
That's nuts (warning: this reply contains "nuts"). As a non-food example, I just counted the number of warning stickers on an extension ladder I bought a few weeks ago. There are 18 stickers.
Steve we might need a short tutorial on how to go through your page to make Amazon purchases. I clicked on your store and there were only shirts. BTW I'm still looking for a Marge. Anyway, I'm looking for a frother and I was trying to find kitchen gear.🥴
Steve, if we use one of the Walmart links in the description of your videos (the mega maltodextrin video for example) and then proceed to shop and buy other stuff, will you get a commission for all the stuff, the same as with Amazon?
In regards to the butter issue, they probably figured it was cheaper to recall all that butter than to go through a lawsuit. Some people are so sue-happy that company’s can’t rely on human common sense anymore. Someone could possibly buy & eat that butter and happen to notice the " contains milk’ label & sue the company. It’s dumb! Like the Mc Donald’s coffee lady who sat the coffee between her legs, some spilled & burned her and she sued because there was no warning stating the coffee was hot…..and I believe this was before the iced coffee trend.
I had to laugh with using Echo instead of Alexa. We have two devices. One is called Alexa and the other is Echo. I was sitting 10 ft away from Echo when you said her name and I rushed to look over at it. Luckily nothing came on. But I have had my Siri (iPad) and Echo talk to each other while we were sitting down eating dinner.😅
In regards to the Tyson fight I wonder how the fight would have played out if Jake wasn't the promoter and going 8 rounds and not knocking him out gave Mike the best payday, so fair play to provide for his family
Well that was quite an entertaining video. The Costco butter thing is mind-blowing. Some people just suck. You can't get around it without covering your butt a thousand ways. As far as ads, I don't watch very many. And don't ask me how because I posted that once and got a strike from youtube. They really didn't like that and I guess I understand.
Yeah, that butter recall was pretty ridiculous. And, our society is way too heavy on litigation and light on common sense. It's sad to see athletes in denial about aging. Tyson and Favre come to mind. Age might be a number, but Mother Nature is having the last laugh. Staying in shape is a great idea, but you're never going to be "fill in the blank" again. (I have personal experience with this.) Good luck with that Costco list!! lol!!
The milk-in-butter labeling recall was done by Costco to cover their butts. They could be sued for a wrongful death. This is not a government issue but as you stated, is a lack of personal responsibility on the part of the consumer. Like you said, certain basic knowledge needs to be applied.
Costco recall was a bit over the top. No milk, no butter. Who doesn’t know where butter comes from? I saw one video where a woman’s parrot knew how to add to Alexa shopping list.
I agree with the Mike Tyson fight. It was sad to see him in the final rounds. But I thought a story in June. He nearly yeah, died and needed 8 blood transfusions. That would have been hard for somebody, Jake Paul's age, but much harder for somebody, Mike Tyson's age. That being said, I think he should hang up the gloves.
The.coffee case at McDonalds was different though. We know that coffee is gonna be hot, very hot, but the coffee they served that lady was lava hot and she got burned because of that. It was multiple tens of degrees higher than typical. Standard hot coffee ranges from 125-155 degrees, that one was clocked in at between 180-190, as you can see quite a bit hotter than standard.
I was only familiar with the abridged version of the story. I've had dozens of comments about this, varying from polite (like yours) to rude and abusive (like I was pouring salt in this elderly lady's wounds).
@@SeriousKeto I try and educate (And be educated) when possible we all can learn from each other. I learned about this case in 1L year of law school, knowing small minor details prior to and had the same initial impression about it beforehand that you did until our professor explained it
so sad they have to do the recall to avoid being sued because someone out there will take advantage ... sad times for sure ... lawyers should be held accountable for taking such ridiculous cases
Colton’s list made me laugh so hard! I work with preschoolers and, yes, they are really into the butt, poop & privates stage now (some are in the middle of potty training)! Thanks Colton for the laugh!!1
Regarding McDonald's they were serving their coffee so hot it gave a woman 3rd degree burns when she spilled it in her lap. They adjusted their serving temperature. The fact she could sue for a ridiculous amount of money.
The woman who was injured by SCALDING coffee at McDonalds was terribly and horribly burned and it was an extensive and painful injury that required significant medical care. Not a small injury. She is permanently and terribly scarred. There is no reason to serve boiling hot coffee. Her lawsuit probably saved others from the same fate. I think you can look it up since everything is on the internet. This was not a frivolous lawsuit. I agree that Americans are too litigious and some try to make a living at it, but if a company doesn't use common sense there should be a method of redress. I think it's stupid to not know butter is made from milk but just realize that half the country is more stupid than the average (thanks, George Carlin). Just think about that. BTW yours is one of the few channels I subscribe to, so thanks for all the work you've done for years to test what the rest of us can't.
It's really frustrating on a phone, because often times, the add will take up my full screen and then I have to figure out how to scroll past it without triggering it to take me to the ad's website.
Are there people who don’t know that there is milk in butter? Age IS just a number. It’s the physical deterioration that bothers me. I enjoy watching young folks like you talking about age. Come back to me in another 20 years and we’ll talk about it (if I make it that far. I reckon I have a good shot.) I do play golf in a group that has one member who is 94. Amazing.
Sounds like my grandson's jokes...I was Gaga butt butt for a bit. They have chased me around with stuffed animals to make them fart on me. 5 year old twins and a 4 year old...Colton you are right on age/brand for 5 year old boys. As far as our litigious society...I could tell you stories. I am a legal nurse consultant and I have worked for a defense insurance company, a defense law firm and now a company that does mostly plaintiff's work. People can sue for anything...but they cannot win for anything. Yes the rake butt wiping is just the tip of the iceberg.
I refuse to have an echo in my house and since I don't run Windows I don't have that on my computer as well. I love running Linux. I know too well about those echo products
I can control the ads on my website. I used to have more control over the UA-cam ads, but around a year ago, they removed most of the content creator options and now it's just "Do you want ads? Yes or No."
@ oh…ok Sorry I’m not fully awake yet, must have misunderstood or something. lol The ads on your website are a little raunchy too… ugh… so embarrassing to see some of these ads about men’s ED problems and very explicit wording from women who look like hookers ughhhhhhh Absolutely not your fault of course, thank you for all you do…ps… I laughed out loud about the echo grocery list…Colten is a keeper 😃
oh and don't worry colton, I'm 43 years old and I still put stupid and funny stuff like that on the amazon shopping list too.....its funny to say nonsensical things to see what Alexa replies with to put onto your shopping list! 😂
I have 5 and 4 year old grand kids that are totally in to potty talk and fart jokes. Got them the bent over Santa that blows bubbles out his butt and plays music. This might be right up Coltons alley!

@ Oh wow. Thats really cool. I’m sure some of my kids were there. Huge sports fans. Very sad about Bret Favre. He’s in my prayers. A great player.
Thanks so much.
Good to know about the commission you can get if we go through your store and shop Amazon - cause I buy a LOT of stuff from Amazon. Rather have the money in your pocket that Amazon's! Will do that going forward with my shopping.
I appreciate it. 😉
Oh wow Steve. I got my first degree black belt through a Pan American school. I didn't know they reached across the country so far
My training was in boxing, but because the Milwaukee Rumble has a cash prize, it has to be sanctioned by a professional organization and I guess no boxing organization would do it. Consequently, it was sanctioned by the PAKA and they added the requirement that you attempt at least 4 kicks per round.
If you watch your own videos (for like you said, checking an old recipe), do the ads being pushed on you generate something for you?
I have YT Premium, so I don't see ads on videos. I don't know if YT looks at who is viewing a video when it determines ad revenue. I'd think they'd do something to keep a creator from just keeping multiple PCs playing their own playlists all day.
😂😂😂😂😂wipe my butt with a rack! I'm dying over here!!!😂😂😂😂😂
Slowly removing the rake from my bathroom...I knew that didn't seem right! 😮😂
You could always use it as spindle for toilet paper rolls. 😉
I honestly don’t know. Sorry.
I have responded to this repeatedly. I was aware of the abridged version of this story.
Do you know if Keto chow will be having any good sales? Trying to figure out if I should wait or not. 😊
I can’t give out the details until black Friday.
There's a documentary on the coffee thing with mcdonald's it's interesting
Do you recall the title? I think that would be interesting to watch.
@SeriousKeto i thi k ot was called hot coffee. And I think the machine malfunction and she got 3rd degree burns had to get skin graffs. Mcdonald's refused to pay then made it look like a frivolous lawsuit
@@frankie6818 And they were very successful in painting it as such - even 30 years later people treat it like a joke.
I watch videos on my iPad….often when someone says “seriously” Siri answers! 😂 Thanks Steve ❤ I might be absent for a while….not really sure if you would notice, but, I’m not leaving. My sweet granddaughter passed away….😢💔
Oh my goodness. I am so sorry for you and your family. Please be gentle with yourselves. Praying.
My heart goes out to you Vicki. I'm so sorry for your family's loss.
@ thank you so much….Our sweet Allie was 17….it has been the most difficult journey. But, we are grateful that she is out of pain! 💔🙏
@ thank you….🙏💔
Great video Steve!
@ did you click the Amazon link in the video description? That’s different than the shirts from Spring ad that UA-cam inserts.
@@SeriousKeto Duh, I found it. I scrolled past the show notes and went to the Serious Keto store. Thanks!
Coffee puns make me bean-lieve in the power of laughter and caffeine!
Are you back to consuming caffeine?
Steve, if we use one of the Walmart links in the description of your videos (the mega maltodextrin video for example) and then proceed to shop and buy other stuff, will you get a commission for all the stuff, the same as with Amazon?
Those links are placed by UA-cam. Those pay out a little through YT. I’m not sure how it compares to Amazon.
Great and funny video, Steve!😂👍 Enjoy your numerous blessings this week 💜🙏✌️🎶🌞🎃🍃🍁
I have no problem with your need for income. I’m here to support you how I can where I can.
Haha oh Colton your shopping list made me LoL. Also wiping your butt with a rake analogy was genius 😂 Classic and oh so right.
Go Colton! LOL! From someone who called Hawaii from her grandma's home phone back when long distance charges were a thing. YIKES!
Thanks Steve...and I'll be keeping my butter...completely didn't realize it was made with milk 🤣
In regards to the Tyson fight I wonder how the fight would have played out if Jake wasn't the promoter and going 8 rounds and not knocking him out gave Mike the best payday, so fair play to provide for his family
It definitely didn’t feel like a real fight. Tyson seemed like he was spent after the first 2 rounds.
Well that was quite an entertaining video. The Costco butter thing is mind-blowing. Some people just suck. You can't get around it without covering your butt a thousand ways.
As far as ads, I don't watch very many. And don't ask me how because I posted that once and got a strike from youtube. They really didn't like that and I guess I understand.
lol. Echo is a wake word also. Amazon assistant might be easier to say. Maybe I’m 5 but I laughed out loud. Too funny.
I’ve kinda been in a bad mood today, BUTT! Colton got me out of it. Thank you.
Steve, you've just got to tell Colton that he made me laugh today!👏😅
Yeah, that butter recall was pretty ridiculous. And, our society is way too heavy on litigation and light on common sense.
It's sad to see athletes in denial about aging. Tyson and Favre come to mind. Age might be a number, but Mother Nature is having the last laugh. Staying in shape is a great idea, but you're never going to be "fill in the blank" again. (I have personal experience with this.)
Good luck with that Costco list!!
😂 Colton's list for the win. He is too cute❤
I forget who said it, but "father time is undefeated". I agree that Mike should quit before he really embarrasses himself or gets seriously injured.
@SeriousKeto indeed
I was only familiar with the abridged version of the story. Knowing the whole story paints a different picture.
Carlin was a wise man, and a keen observer of human behavior.
Lol I changed my Alexa to answer to echo and you said hey echo and set it off 😂
It’s seem that the adds have rampted up every where
It's really frustrating on a phone, because often times, the add will take up my full screen and then I have to figure out how to scroll past it without triggering it to take me to the ad's website.
Ads are not only annoying…but they’re nasty… ugh 😩
Hope you can do something about them Steve…thank you 😊
I can control the ads on my website. I used to have more control over the UA-cam ads, but around a year ago, they removed most of the content creator options and now it's just "Do you want ads? Yes or No."
@ oh…ok
Sorry I’m not fully awake yet, must have misunderstood or something. lol
The ads on your website are a little raunchy too… ugh… so embarrassing to see some of these ads about men’s ED problems and very explicit wording from women who look like hookers ughhhhhhh
Absolutely not your fault of course, thank you for all you do…ps… I laughed out loud about the echo grocery list…Colten is a keeper 😃
🤣🤣🤣🤣 " echo" in my wake word
oh and don't worry colton, I'm 43 years old and I still put stupid and funny stuff like that on the amazon shopping list too.....its funny to say nonsensical things to see what Alexa replies with to put onto your shopping list! 😂
LOL! Having to label butter as "contains milk" is like having to labals peanut butter as "contains peanuts". That's freaking ridiculous!
I have 5 and 4 year old grand kids that are totally in to potty talk and fart jokes. Got them the bent over Santa that blows bubbles out his butt and plays music. This might be right up Coltons alley!
I’m sure he’d find that hilarious.
That Colton is so funny stuff
Are you SURE you don't need to buy butts? Pork butt? Rump roast?
Another great vlog🤣❤️🇨🇦🐕
Speaking of potty humor.. Butt/rake! Need I say more. My laugh of the day.
Gonna get my toys with ur link✨

Would have made more sense to just have Costco put up a warning sign on the cooler glass to tell people this butter has milk in it.
