Coop, as a fellow salesman (I sell construction supplies), I want to give you massive props for this video and your content in general. Everything seems to be rising in price, so giving honest feedback on where a customer's money is going in terms of quality is immeasurably valuable imo.

I love how easy it is to use the lock jaw. I don’t use my more expensive one because it just pain in a butt sometime to get on and off.
Coop mentioning the price to value ratio and its coresponding bell curve in all products/services is so satisfying. It's true of cars, medical products, contractors, and pretty much everything else.
I have the Öppen collars and like them a lot except they can be a pain to unclamp. A good middle ground between these that still have the open feature would be the EliteFTS Shark Collars. Titan and Strength Co. sell these exact same ones too.

i love that coop has improved the coop collar test.
I superglued some magnets to my Lockjaws (per Coop's suggestion in another video). Very handy, and no complaints about them, especially when doing non-Olympic lifts.

I have have the Rogue collars and they are great! They clamp on really tight! I also have some cheap generic collars from Amazon that do the job as well. I only bought the Rogue because they were nicer and a more premium product. The good thing about the cheap generic collars is you can usually find colors to fit your gyms color scheme, and they do the job just fine.
I went with Lockjaw Pro 2 collars after seeing your collar video a while back. They perform very well and even work decently on EliteFTS specialty bars, which they say you need axle collars for. But honestly if you're just doing basic gym lifts and aren't doing any olympic lifts, the collar you use doesn't really matter.
Love your content, wouldn’t mind seeing a deadlift bar recommendation video. In the market to purchase a whippy bar myself for deads. Just looking for the best whippy bar for me.
You should review mouth guards for lifting. People can mess up their teeth and/or dental work by gritting their teeth during lifts. Also in theory you can produce more force during your lifts while clenching your jaw.

freak accident today...bought the aluminum rogue collars used them for months awesome collar...today i was pushing the tab with my thumb to lock them was stiff af didnt move kept pushing and dislocated my thumb it popped back in place ....but im switching over to lock jaws now
I have the Öppen collars and really like them. They are a little stiff at first, but after a few months, I found that I can flip them open, most of the time, with one hand. Yes, you don't need them, but why not? They aren't "that" big of an investment and you will have them for years. I also have a couple of different Rogue collars (most of my home gym is Rogue stuff) and they are nice as well. The magnets on these are surprisingly useful and I like the weight. Just enough to true up a 44.1 pound bar to 45 pounds, plus a couple of banker ounces, if you use pound plates.
Because of your reviews I bought the Rogue collars. They are the last collar you ever need to buy. Thank you Coop!

I've always just had spring collars at home. In fact, they're probably the same ones I've had since I was a teenager (I'm 30 now).
I don't drop the bar very often so maybe that's why I haven't had any issues.

The ones I got from Walmart lasted less than 6 months. I'm over the spring collars are getting old so this video is great
I got the Rogue collars for 25 bucks from the boneyard awhile ago. At that price, they're unbeatable, and honestly I can't tell what got them boneyard status.
I use them on my adjustable dumbells, and despite them being clear you're not suppose to drop those they hold up great when I have.
How are you liking those Tru Grit bumpers? I'm always looking for more products in Freedom Units.
Speaking of Freedom Units, Hulkfit has a calibrated cast iron powerlifting-style plate in pounds, 2.5 through 45 lb, but no 55 pound plates. Haven't seen any chatter about them yet!
I've never seen you review muscle clamp collars. That's what's in the gym at my workplace and I like the ease of use for one hand
they are ok imo, they hold like shit but prevent most movement when walking out a squat or putting down a deadlift

could you do a video on cable attachments? i’d like to see how something like a cheap amazon rope or handles stack up to something made by an actual equipment company.
For me it's Rogue Aluminum collars for all lifts where the barbell starts from the floor or blocks, simple basic spring lock collars for lifts where the barbell starts in the rack.
More videos comparing Rogue to Titan. Things like the rack mountable y-dip & Landmine. All rack mounted accessories
Hey Coop! Can you do a garage layout video? Like ins and outs of where you put things and why and what helps out with saving space? Example. I'm not a fan of the plate loaded pull down machine, but theres a cheapish one thats an attachment for the REP 5000. So would you save space with the attachment or just buy a titain stack pull down instead?
Vintage spinlocks forever! Actually, I use the same Rogue collars featured in the video more than anything. I bring out the spinlocks when I'm using an older bar. It just feels appropriate. But I've never loaded up bumpers and dropped a bar with spinlocks. I think they'd hold. We'll see.

I have about 7 pairs of the lock jaw style collars, about 10$ a pair on Amazon and have never had any problems with them. And honestly I barely even use collars most of the time lol
I would like to see a review comparing all the deadlift bars and the pros and cons of each as well as the Buffalo/Duffalo bars including the new Rogue 1 please. Need help deciding what to buy.
I got the Archon fitness aluminum collars for like $22-25 and have been very happy with them. They’ve got magnets built in which I have to agree is one of my favorite features. I haven’t seen them mentioned anywhere but I think for the money they are pretty hard to beat.
The website says there is an issue with the magnets so it's on clearance for $21.15. Giving it a try anyway as I need 2 pairs. Thanks!
@@sbattosai yeah I noticed that too but I decided to buy a second pair to have for my ez curl bar regardless lol I don’t know what the issue is since I bought my first pair a year ago and have no problems with the magnets. For $22 I don’t think you can really go wrong.

You should review the quicklee collars. They are the ones jujimufu uses. The Olympic 2″ high impact steel 2OMS are about $85
How about Cheap vs expensive chalk. Test grip and moisture/water activity attraction with the rooms humidity (like a standard accelerated stability test for food/vitamains)
Let's see something on the latest lat pulldown machine attachments verses traditional attachments most all of us have cable machines whats new and better in handles bars etc ?

Maybe adjustable benches, cheapest vs most expensive? For me, there was a huge improvement in my home gym once I got one, but I did for $125 haha and it’s definitely sketchy at times

I want to see you do this with the spring collars just to push me over the edge to upgrade. I like the Oppens just because you don't have to slide them on and the magnets, they seem really fast to use which is a big deal to me. Otherwise I think you've proved 15$ and 97$ (just checked the Oppens), they are close enough.
The Oppens are not the only "half moon" collar out there. There are several that are in the $50 range.

They have a new updated lock Jaws with magnetic and made out of aluminum. If you have a chance you should check them out!

another channel im subbed to did reviews and the 3 row spring collars beat about everything he had. AND cheap..I think they over think some things like these collars. I bought a budget set and one broke not long after.and im super easy with my stuff..
every time its the right side that moves even before offset drop, check the diameter of that sleeve and compare it to the other side .. i have a hunch it would be a few mm off

I have Force USA Collars, you should test them the next time you do a review on Collars, from my experience they are pretty good for the price (about 35 aud), but I don't think they would stand up to the coop collar test

The Eleiko collars are nice-ish but, at best, hit and miss. I handled at a powerlifting meet about a month ago and used these for hours. I had access to several pair. More often than not, the thumb clip was far too tight, requiring way too much force to unclip. I’m just not sure the Eleiko collar solves any sort of problem. No time was saved placing the collar on the side of the sleeve versus sliding it over the end.Save your money and grab a pair of Rogue USA aluminum collars.

As someone that trains att home, and likes to workout with fast tempo, I like the practicality of the opens. Hoping some clone of sorts will appear for like half price.
Yeah, I'd never seen those before but I love the concept just because of being able to throw em on and off to speed up supersets with a barbell with different weight.
There are several other "half moon" style collars out there.

Coop, how about showing the cheapest standard spin lock bar available for people starting out on a no money budget. Realistically they wouldn't be lifting over 200lbs would they?
3:39 Why not spring collars though? People always recommend against them, but I never hear why? I love spring collars personally. It's what I've been used to in the gym, and I've carried that over to my home gym. They are quick, easy, and remain durable for years. I guess if someone was concerned about scratching on their bar sleeves, maybe that would be a concern? No concern of mine, but that's the only negative I can think of.
I have expensive rogue collars and cheap 10$ Amazon collars. I use the Amazon collars more because they’re easier to get on an off. Save the money.
