NOTE #1: For all recipes, refrigerate overnight for the best texture - but if you don't have time, make sure to refrigerate for at least 2-3 hours. The longer they soak, the softer and creamier they'll taste!
NOTE #2: While there are different types of oats, Rolled Oats are ideal for Overnight Oats:
► Rolled Oats have been cooked, dried and rolled flat
► Steel Cut Oats are RAW and need to be cooked first (for roughly 30-40 mins) before consumption
► Quick Oats are rolled oats that have been cut into thinner, smaller flakes - making them too mushy for Overnight Oats and not ideal

► Lemon zest (1 tsp)
► Vanilla extract (1/2 tsp)
Add toppings:

I add a scoop of protein powder to mine. It's the perfect breakfast/post workout meal.
I love it for post-workouts! And protein powder is a great addition for sure! Thanks for watching :)
Thank you for your idea!
Use casein for extra creamy goodness
You read my mind. Thanks for idea👍
I do this too! I have apple and cinnamon with it and it tastes like apple pie
The banana one looks incredibly delicious. Can't go wrong with banana, cinnamon, and vanilla
The banana is super delicious - out of all of them, it's probably the one I make for breakfast most regularly!
This the one I want to try but I only have quick oats
I’m about to make this one right now, and this is my first one. I’ve been wanting to try Overnight Oats for awhile now, I’m excited ❤
@@ttatum7101 how was it
@@arey256 I’m still resting before my baby wakes up, but I will definitely reply after I try!! I’m so excited 😆
For the metric size and us that don't meassure in cups.
1/2 cup=1.2dl or 120ml.😊
Thx for a great video. Trying them out now🙏
If you dont normally use cup measurements it isnt necessary to use otherwise here unlike baking. But if you dont want to use cups, you wouldnt use mls for dry ingredients. For me, half a cup of rolled oats weighs 57gms.
These are some FANTASTIC ideas. I like to make cranberry orange overnite oats. To the base oats, add about 1/8cup dried cranberries soaked in the juice and zest of half of a large orange, or about 3 tbsp orange juice. I also add about 1 tbsp ground flax seed, it adds fiber and a slightly nutty note.
That sounds like a delicious combination! I love using orange in my overnight oats as well - I'll have to try it with cranberries and ground flax sometime. Thanks for watching!
This sounds awesome!
I gotta try this one - sounds delicious! 😍
Oh I’m totally trying this one!! Yum
This is great but don’t you warm it up before you eat it😮!
My wife and I love the Mocha Latte, and I've GOT to try that Chocolate Peanut Butter cup! That cracking sound into the chocolate shell is everything!
The chocolate shell is such a simple add-on but makes such a fun and delicious topping! Hope you enjoy making it - thanks for watching!
So I just made 3 of these: the banana bread, peanut butter cup and then I changed the mocha latte recipe a bit as I don't like coffee and oats together, so I made it into a chocolate coconut mix. Needless to say, all of them are delicious. I prepped 3 500ml jars so I have breakfast for the entire week. Amazing recipe, thank you!
Amazing! The chocolate coconut mix sounds great as a 'decaf' alternative :) I'm so glad you enjoyed making the recipes, thanks for watching and for trying them out! I hope they'll stick around in your weekly breakfast rotation going forward :)
Your overnight oats recipe has become a staple in my breakfast routine! Each flavor variation adds a refreshing twist, making it exciting to wake up to a healthy and delicious meal every morning.
In particular, the combination of True Elements Rolled oats with the suggested toppings and mix-ins has been a game-changer. The oats soak up the flavors perfectly, resulting in a creamy and satisfying breakfast bowl.
I appreciate your creativity in presenting six flavors that cater to different tastes and preferences. It has made meal prep so much easier and enjoyable. Thank you for sharing this wonderful recipe and inspiring a healthier start to my day!
For a sweetener, you can also mash half a banana with your milk before adding it to your oats and chia seeds. That's what I do and it works really well and I don't even really like bananas but I swear by it! So tasty!
Ripe bananas are a fantastic sweetener, I totally agree! Thanks for sharing and for watching!
@@toastyapron The riper the sweeter.

half a banana for…. one cup of oats? or will it make everything too mushy*?
@KAFaye-nk5tl nope! I don't use as much water/milk when I make it that way. Sorry I don't have exact measurements or I'd give them to you

I've never been a fan of overnight oats but your recipes are making me want to try it again. Everything looks delicious! Thank you for sharing
Thank you so much for the support! Would love to hear what you think, if you do try them again!
I'm usually spontaneous about what I want for breakfast. If I want muesli I'm making it fresh - but sometimes put it in the microwave for a minute.
Not the same - but I like it more crunchy. 🤗
You can also add frozen berries good this way. Or a jam, different nuts and seeds.
Kakao or honey if you want it sweet 🍫🍯
But mostly my ratio for fruit to muesli is almost 50/50 so making it fresh makes more sense.
I could try some overnight varieties -I like the chia seeds, but they really need a few hours not just minutes 😅
I prepared one of these yesterday, and daaamn, it really works, such a nice breakfast
Literally the best video on making this.
Thanks so much for the kind words!
Just subbed. My dude, we are going to need a LOT more videos. Love your content!

Amazing! Been looking for this type of video on overnight oats, especially to eat after the gym
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it. Definitely, they're amazing for quick, ready-to-eat post-workout meals - I eat them all the time to refuel after a gym session!
This... Is... Amazing!!! Thank You 🙌🏽
Thanks so much for watching! I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
my go to has always been Oats, ground flax seed, and almond milk, sugar free strawberry greek yogurt and then I would mix it frozen raspberries, blueberries, and peach slices. The combo is amazing and ends up being so refreshing on a hot day because of the frozen fruits seems like your eating ice cream.
That sounds incredibly refreshing and delicious! Thank you for the suggestion, I'll definitely have to try that - just in time for spring (and soon summer)!
When food says sweet free, it's really not. The sugar is added under a different name. It's best to use a mash ripped banana.
Instead of maple syrup I prefer vanilla almond milk or the chobani Greek yogurt has to be vanilla flavor that way I don’t have to use maple syrup
And love how it tastes, it’s like having a Dessert 😋
Thanks so much for this video. I’ve recently just gotten into overnight oats and have been experimenting with fruits and whatnot. You’ve given some great recipes and ideas for me to use and add to my overnight oats rotation. I agree I love how simpler and healthier it makes breakfast in the morning.

Thanks for the recipe!! We've been preparing the banana one for a week and it's delicious 😋😋. So great to start the day so sweeeet
I'm so glad you're enjoying the recipe! Banana is so delicious - I can eat it almost every day :) Thanks for watching!
These look amazing! I’ve never tried eating cold oats for breakfast but I’m all in! I’m going to look for smaller wide mouth jars; I couldn’t eat that much for breakfast, so I’m going to try making one in a half size wide mouth jar and see if it works. Thanks for these great ideas!!
Fantastic! For sure, I have a set of 8 ounce (237 ml) wide mouth mason jars that I use often for smaller portions, which I find to be great for grab and go snacks. I'm glad you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching!
Thanks for the fantastic ideas! I look forward to bringing overnight oats back into my daily line up!
Thanks so much for watching! I'm glad the video helped bring overnight oats back into your rotation - cheers!
I'm definitely making these 😊 Thank You so much
Thank you for watching - enjoy!
Love all these ideas! I’m glad they include simple ingredients that I can pretty easily find even here in Tokyo. The raspberries are probably going to be the most difficult thing to locate, but I’m sure they can be subbed with another berry. ❤
Thank you so much! Absolutely - the great thing with these recipes is you can use substitutes for so many different things if you don't have them readily available where you live! Thanks for watching :)
Yes. Sub it with another fruit like you said. And Enjoy
I buy packs of frozen berries so I can have raspberries etc. out of season. OK, they are pretty mushy when thawed, but the flavour is great. You may be able to get frozen berries in Japan.
This is fantastic! I tried one with strawberry jam and creme fraiche topping (because I had it on hand) which was also really good!
Sounds yummy and super simple! That's the great thing about these - you can just use whatever you have on hand and be creative with it. Thanks for watching!
All look absolutely Scrummy TY
All look so delicious. I will try all these recipes. Thank you for sharing ❤️🙏🏼
Thanks so much for watching! Enjoy!
FYI, You can use ground flaxseed instead of chia seeds.
Is there any advantage of one over the other?
I’ve been making overnight oats for a couple of weeks now and love them! I usually just a Chobani Zero Sugar yogurt like mixed berry (my favorite) I haven’t gotten around to adding toppings other than when I make a banana chocolate one. Thanks for the additional varieties.
Thanks for watching and hope you enjoy trying some of the different ingredients and toppings!
I use that Chobanj too!! The vanilla one tastes great!

Thank you so much for watching! I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
I’ve been making this for a year now. I for a sweetener I use liquid Erythritol and I also use canned coconut milk, powdered flax seed, powdered nutmeg, and serve in the morning with nuts, seeds, fruit, dates, golden raisins, etc. My favorite breakfast for a year and I have t gotten tired of it,
I loved your ideas too.
Those are some fantastic options for toppings and ingredients - I'll have to give some of those a try, thanks for sharing! And I also love using canned full-fat coconut milk, esp. when I'm indulging in some of the more dessert-y overnight oats! Thanks for watching!
I'd be interested in your recipe with proportions, Antonio. Or rough proportions. I'm working on using canned coconut milk for things, since I seem to have a surplus I'm not using. Thanks!
You'll have to eat that at the peanut butter table, or bring your epi-pen!😅
I bought a milk maker from Almond Cow, and now make my own nutmilk at home. It is delicious with none of the additives and preservatives that store-bought nut milk has. All you need is water, nuts, vanilla, dates or maple syrup, and you have nut milk in 2 minutes. Check out Almond Cow!
I love using bobs red mill muesli in place of oats. Also, roasting the pineapple in advance makes it extra sweet and you can dial back the added sweetener. My super fast way is using frozen berries. Saves time because you don’t have to wash them and saves money too. I buy a 3 lb bag of blueberries, raspberries and blackberries from Costco for around $11.
Adding the yogurt is key to making it creamy and satisfying.
Muesli is a great alternative + substitute for oats! And that's a great tip about roasting the pineapples, I'll have to give that a try sometime! Frozen berries are my go-to as well, they're a huge time saver for so many things. Thanks for watching!
I use frozen berries, too. Then you can have them out of season.
Love that u explained how the whole process worked never really knew how
Glad you enjoyed the video and found it helpful! Thanks for watching!
pERFECT, OUTSTANDING, INSPIRING THANK YOU THIS IS WHAT I NEEDED
Thank you for watching! I'm glad you found this video helpful!
I love your recipes. Thank you so much for bringing overnight oats to my attention again. I love taking the jar to work and having this for lunch.
If I put in fruit, I don't sweeten it, because the fruits give so much flavor and sweetener to the mix after the night.
A game changer for me btw: adding a small cinnamon stick into the mix overnight instead of powder. It's such an intense flavour but not overpowering
Thanks so much for watching! I'm glad it brought these to your attention again, they're such great breakfasts for busy mornings! That's a great call on the cinnamon stick, I've used those for my chia puddings but haven't tried it yet for my overnight oats. Will be sure to throw one into my jar tonight! Thanks for the tip :)
Love when you say “and put it in the fridge ”! A feeling of relief ❤
Doing this for meal prep this Sunday. Thanks so much!

You had me at Banana Nut Bread! No, I think they all look delicious and I like that if you do want to warm them up a bit it is so simple because of being in the mason jar (without ring or lid of course). I would love to see your take on Chia Pudding to I know they are pretty simple but the Toasty Apron might have a few tips and flavors that take them to the next level!? Thanks for the great video and new sub here 😃
Thanks so much for watching and subscribing! I absolutely LOVE chia pudding - all I can say about that one is stay tuned very soon 😉
I love oatmeal but hate washing the pot! Such a easy method for me to enjoy my favourite breakfast. The peanut butter chocolate is going to be my first try. Just subscribed too to see what other great ideas you have!
It's definitely a big time saver over stovetop oatmeal! And if you prefer eating these overnight oats warm, you can even warm it up in the microwave as well. Thanks for watching and subscribing!
Some people heat their overnight oats in the morning. If you find that you aren’t into overnight oats cold, try heating it. I tend to go with oatmeal in colder months and overnight oats in warm months.
Yes! My kids love oatmeal but I always make too much and the pan is a pain to wash.
Fantastic. Definitely needed breakfast ideas and will pass along your videos and recipes. Thanks!
Thanks so much for watching - I'm glad you enjoyed them!
I made these with a sauce made from chopped apple, cooked with cinnamon, chopped date and a tiny bit of water, made the same way as the raspberry sauce. Topped with a wee bit of date and walnut chop. Apple and raisin would have also worked, but I love dates. Coconut and chopped dried apricot would also be nice. Lastly, pistachio, walnuts and honey with a tiny bit of cardamom would remind me of baklava.
Sounds delicious! Dried fruits like raisins, dates and apricots are a fantastic addition - I'll have to try some of those other combinations sometime. Thanks for watching!
I would do that with cranberry instead of date. How much apple do you use for 1 serving, Phoebe? Thanks!
These look awesome. I'm looking for good overnight oats recipes to use my canned coconut milk in. I use raw honey for my sweetener, generally.
Last year I made an overnight oats recipe and decided it wasn't my thing. I didn't realize it is acceptable to heat the oats, if needed or preferred. I tried some overnight oats a couple weeks ago and then heated before eating. That was so much better!
Thank you for these ideas! 💚
During the cold winter months, I definitely find myself warming them up in the microwave quite often - and they taste just as great without losing texture or flavour! Glad you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching!
Is porridge not a thing in the US?
@@suburbia2050 we have oatmeal, cream of wheat, and grits. Grits is usually a side to other things, and I guess some people will eat it with gravy. Like the gravy we put on biscuits. (Fluffy American breakfast biscuits, not cookies. Lol) And there's some variation to gravies. But, I hate grits.

Before you do this, ensure you rinse the oatmeal to eliminate the phytic acid, which prevents the absorption of iron, zinc, and calcium and may promote mineral deficiencies.
How do you rinse the oatmeal lol
@@Notkyle388 I would soak it for 2-3 minutes and strain it; I would do it 2-3 times. It is just how I do it because it hastens my cooking time. I always use the old fashion oatmeal.
😊
@@charlieben3672 oh is that so? I read that you need to soak oats overnight with acid like acv to properly remove the phytic acid.. will try your version as well! Thanks
I used to do mine with grated apple and a bit of orange juice, I prefer sharp and sour flavours.
This is incorrect as far as I can tell. Do you have a specific academic study you are citing or is this “folk wisdom”? The best studies I could find suggested that a phytase be added to dry oats prior to reconstituting them. If you have an actual study with a cohort that demonstrates “rinsing” oats as a method I am interested. Allegedly making overnight oats without refrigeration helps them ferment, rescuing phytates.
They all look super yummy, thank you for making them and showing us

That's awesome! I've been on this breakfast journey for about a year as well, and I must say it's been a game-changer. Your personalized touch with liquid Erythritol, canned coconut milk, flax seed, and nutmeg sounds divine. It's incredible how the keto lifestyle allows for such flexibility while keeping things delicious.
Your addition of nuts, seeds, and fruits is a brilliant way to enhance both flavor and nutrition. It's fantastic that even after a year, you're still in love with your breakfast creation-I can totally relate.
Speaking of keto, one of the aspects I truly appreciate is the sustained energy throughout the day. The focus on healthy fats and nutrient-rich foods not only keeps you satisfied but also helps in maintaining mental clarity and sharpness. It's like a secret weapon for a productive and energetic day.
In the spirit of your year-long keto breakfast love affair, here's a motto to keep the positive vibes rolling: "Start your day with a keto smile, and let the energy carry you through mile after mile!" 🌞💪🥥
