    Overnight oatmeal recipes as you can find many channels and google, it is very healthy and great taste. But most of recipes are high calories that you should be careful when you make it. Avoid put much of chia seeds that is high calories. honey is great natural sweetness of material but it will also increase your insulin level if you put on much of it. Definitely healthy food overall just little caution if you want to lose weight.

    Instead of Greek yogurt and “milk” I use Kefir. Add 3T ground flax seeds in the morning and stir into the fermented oats. Then add blueberries on top. No cinnamon in this one. Chia seeds optional. The flax is high in omega-3 and sulfurophane, a cancer fighter. Thanks for the recipes. Looking forward to more. Happy New Year.

    I discovered this wonderful recipe from you over a decade ago. It truly is a life changer. I then discovered a few months ago your recipe for overnight steel cut oats. Those have been my go-to breakfast for the past 7 months. Cheap and fulfilling are two wonderful things...especially in this economy. Using 4 cups of unsweetened Almond milk and one (dry) cup of steel cut oats, cooking on the stove per your instructions, I can get six breakfasts servings. I add the usual chia seeds, Greek yogurt, and half a scoop of vanilla whey protein powder (along w/ a splash of almond milk so everything easily blends together). I then flavor each serving similar to what you show in this vid. Thank you, again, for sharing all of your recipes!! All of the ones I have tried thus far have all turned out great!!

Our grown nephew/godchild got shingles for New Years Eve and it is our family tradition to share ham and beans on New Years Day....we took him beans, cornbread, a small relish container (really pretty from our cut up veggies), small container cheese and crackers, a few tortilla chips and dip, fresh applesauce, a banana and an apple... dinner and snacks to enjoy when he has to take RX's. Love your cookbook! It's definitely made our life better already, Happy New Year!

Put the milk in three wide-mouth mason jars. They fit perfectly in the pot of a 6-quart Instant Pot. When done, they're already in containers and ready for the refrig.

    Now that is cold here in Portugal (really cold for us), I love having my breaksfast hot.
    Danny, two questions for you:
    1 - do you think I pour on some more milk or a dash of water so that it becomes creamier?
    2 - as my mom suffers from diverticulitis, is it ok to make the chia seeds into a powder?
    Don't know why but watching your videos on healthy breakfast makes me more enthusiastic about getting up early - or maybe I do know why...😊😋

      You actually get more of he essential oils and other good stuff from chia seeds when you grind or blend them. Raw they will mostly just pass through the system undigested. You can easily use water I use water instead of milk. The oats themselves give a milky flavor when soaked in water.

    I refrigerate my oats before eating and always do stair climbing exercises after eating them. I eat soft boiled eggs first to allow the protein to slow the carbs from oatmeal to raise my blood sugar. I feel the burn in my legs when climbing stairs afterwards.

    I like the steel cut ones, because I still love a little texture. I need it to remind me of cereal; if its too mushy I wont eat it. But OO's are great. I literally use nut butters in place of sugar; sometimes a little honey.

    Hi! I’ve been wanting to try overnight oats for a while so I really appreciate your recipe explanations & the different varieties. I’m going to make a few, including one of my own: cherries & almonds.
    Would honey be a good alternative to the maple syrup? Also, Do you have a suggestion to increase the protein without using a powder? Tysm!

    • @CleanandDeliciousDani
      @CleanandDeliciousDani  10 місяців тому

      Honey would definitely work! The Greek yogurt adds some protein (so that's good!). Maybe focus on higher protein toppings like extra Greek yogurt, he,p seeds, and a sprinkle of nuts.

    • @Ok_Loren
      @Ok_Loren 10 місяців тому

      @@CleanandDeliciousDani Tysm for responding so quickly! I love honey & always have a good variety of nuts on hand so I’m glad those will work. I will definitely look for more toppings to add protein. Again, I really appreciate your help. Have a wonderful day!

    These look great! Have a series of questions.
    U made a large batch right, so how long can you have this in the fridge for? Can i make a large batch and use all week or will it get too thick or soggy?
    If so, if I leave in fridge for several days, I assume its best to not put any toppings like fresh fruits as they may get too mushy/soggy after several days, no?
    If I have the base made from overnight, will it taste good adding all the topping the morning of, or it's best to let it all marinate overnight?
    Thanks!
