If you run a sentinel companion you can put her 2 on them as well, and since they're always glued to you, you'll essentially always be doing double damage with your 2's linear damage buildup! Since the 2 provides DR, they won't die and you can build them more offensively :)
@santana72989 really any sentinel will do, and I don't have a thought out specific build that I use for a sentinel companion with Gara. I typically run Diriga so I can give Gara Archon Stretch for some extra energy, but you could also run Nautilus, so enemies get pulled into Gara's storm. Since they have splinter storm on them, you don't have to worry much about their survivability, so you can go all out with bond mods. Ranged weapons will have more opportunities than melee given Gara's splinter storm.

Your roar is only a 1.6x damage buff. You're not doing any DoT's so it's not double dipping on anything. Lets just pretend that Nourish gives no elemental damage buff. Nourish will improve your energy economy so much that you can dump Fleeting. That not only frees up a mod slot which could be spent on strength i.e. from Transient or Umbral Intensify, but also makes the duration significantly more comfy. This also frees up a shard slot which can be spent on additional casting speed. I'd wager you're going to have enough additional energy income, casting speed and strength, that you can sustainably spam so many more Vitrify nukes that you'll out-DPS the Roar build (on top of being additionally comfy). And that's not even considerate of the Viral weapon damage buff. Casting additional Vitrifys was in the game plan anyway to leverage Shattered Storm. The Nourish build could also lean into Combat Discipline to pulse Viral, priming enemies in a decently sized AOE around the caster for double damage. Nourish, unlike Roar, will also actually increase how fast your 2 stacks up touch-of-death damage too. A 1.6x damage mult is a good option, but certainly not the best when you consider how Nourish can drastically affect and reshape so many elements of the build. Also, why not use Ceramic Dagger whenever it's evolution also has +100% melee damage, and it can easily accrue tonnes of initial combo instead of needing to slot Rauta?
Roar buffs your explosion damage and splinter storm gain. It buffs the damaged splinter storm does while it's active again. So it double dips just fine.
Actually, roar buffs your Shattered Lash damage which affects the explosion, and it also buffs the explosion itself since it gives ability damage. Nourish only buffs Shattered Lash as an additional mod..
On the primary, i'd argue you'd have to use any other primary more often to fully stack up that Ceramic initial combo than the Rauta to get to and maintain 12x combo counter. Anyway it's a game of options, no wrong ways to play..

Roar affects your lash damage when hitting an enemy, but not when hitting mass vitrify. This is because mass vitrify is a factionless target. Roar neither increases your splinter storm gain per vitrify, nor double dips Roar as a damage increase to vitrify nukes. It literally takes a second to actually test this in the simulacrum. But, nevermind. I've uploaded a 1 minute video to my channel demonstrating it instead.
I love that youre highlighting the frames that got shadow buffs. Also try out Mirage with Sporelacer, its just... insanely good. Just make sure you have enough range for total eclipse to also hit your clones. Im also in love with Secondary Fortifier. For this build I don't think Nourish is as bad as you make it out to be, the damage is of course lower, but power strength still double dips on Nourish buffs too, and it fixes a lot of issues with energy you have. Rauta is definitely super good for this build, Ive also liked Cedo though. You can just press alt fire in between casts to prime and activate Growing Power. I want to experiment with freezing enemies with the Cedo for Arcane Ice Storm, that would be so dope, but viral would still be better :D My biggest issue is keeping up combo honestly, that's why I use Ceramic Dagger. Does Madurai increase the damage of shattered lash or the mass vitrify explosion by 30% too? If so it might be worth to just stick to Ceramic dagger, you get stuck at 120 combo but its much easier and you can use the Madurai damage instead of Naramon and don't need to worry about combo that much anymore
I have already been out-damaging players with Gara for awhile now.. I knew she has been OP for a bit with the right Stat stick filled with damage and pure elemental mods. It's super fun with the speed up decrees in SP Circuit, you just run by everything and it dies as long as you keep your stacks with Red Tau Forged Duration shards, recasting vitrify once and awhile around allies you also put Splinter Storm onto. Steel Charge Aura adds way more than Corrosive Projection in damage for Gara specifically, you don't need to strip the armor when they are all dead anyway. Also try [Arcane Blade Charger] if you have a decent primary that can get at least one kill fast.
for nuke spamming: dreamer's bond aura, archon stretch + diriga combo, switch blindrage with transient, switch fleeting with streamline, swap to nourish = better build
You mouse over the Tenet Livia and Tenet Grigori in your section on stat sticks, but you didn't actually mention that you shouldn't use either of those Tenet weapons. Their combo pause while holstered mechanic causes the combo counter to reset every time you cast Shattered Lash, so they're very poor stat sticks for a combo Gara nuke build.

I've been using Creeping Terrify/Ceramic Dagger as a Gara Nuke since Duviri. I'll give this a try since Roar gives the faction damage to your whole kit, but Terrify/Ceramix Dagger works well for Steel Path
First time playing gara in years. I rolled gara on my first ever run of archmeda. So her will have to carry me without any weapons (since they all suck) or gear/operator (wich are disabled) This build is just what i was looking for. I also got a invigoration with +100 duration and +75 efficiency. While testing the build i did some runs on zariman. Killing angels by just being aFk on steelpath is so fkd up lol Nullifiers appearing from thin air still her biggest enemy and Disruption also are a no-no :(
in the first build variant at 3:37, i believe you could run transient fortitude in place of blind rage and umbral intensify instead of fleeting expertise. same amount of strength but saves you a bit of duration, making roar last around 38 seconds (without an archon shard)
Oh hell yeah, now I have a reason to abuse my Sibear. Even got a +200% melee damage +100 toxin riven mod, this about to get nasty. Also Sentinels can proc your Growing Power, so a good old Dethcube with Cryotra is an easy no brainer.
I can't remember, does her passive open enemies to finishers when they're blind? Or just CC without the finishers? I'm wondering if Melee Crescendo is viable and then you wouldn't have to worry about combo efficiency.
her passive has a chance to blind on ability cast. But having to get close while gara has 2milion damage on her shield already = enemy is dead. On a solo play if you want to take your time to stack yeah. or you could use Bronco with the mod that opens to finisher Use Banshe Silence etc.

Incarnon forms ro my knowledge do apply their status and crit chance to the psuedo exalt, i never heard about a nerf to remove such things, it’s like the whole reason i kept my nami solo riven i got sooo many years ago and never got rid of with a huge crit damage / chance stats Like i’ve seen many crit builds for gara, maybe the crit build only applies to the melee itself and not the shattering of the 4?
I'm interested in running a Hydroid Plunder endurance build. When he was reworked a year ago I saw your video and I only just got back into Warframe (again). Is armor tanking still viable for enemies up to 9999?
Le me understand this... basically the millions of damage you stack with your two are thrown off onto enemies with the agument? So you're basically erasing the map every 4-1 combo loop once you have high enough damage?
No. It just applies Splinter Storm onto enemies as if you had cast it onto them. It does not apply the Splinter Storm damage. The purpose is to apply the debuff.
Doesn't the incarnon evolution absolute valor on ceramic dagger give crit chance to chattered lash (it's only 30% but it could be a factor right?), I'm asking purely out of curiosity cuz I've seen that sentiment around a bunch (edit: now that I think about it that might not work on her 4, but gun and blade is still really good)
Even if you 1 does red crits, that does not affect the damage of the explosion or splinter storm damage gain. Since we're using Rauta for max combo, the ceramic dagger becomes useless(also riven is very expensive). If you don't want to use rauta, then you can consider using the ceramic dagger. With a good riven, with Ceramic dagger you can have e permanent 11x combo. Gara can be built in many different ways, each having it's advantages.
Does anyone know if weapons that pause combo would eliminate the need for dexterity and such? i.e. tenet Livia pauses combo, so you could just stack combo, put it away, and never lose it???

I have been running Pillage Gara for a while now and she was nuking well. It would usually out kill and DPS Saryns, at least untill the Emerald Shards came out. Just run 175% efficiency, since Pillage + vitrify's do the shield gating for you. Need just enough strength at 250 kills to fully strip with 2 Pillage casts.

Cant the nami solo, make gara’s 1 crit tho? With the incarnon and then same with ceramic dagger incarnon but even more. Allowing you to actually mod for crit on it
Yes but then it also makes your 4 weaker since modding for crit doesn’t affect it. So basically you decide between 1, 4, or a hybrid build which has *most* of the scaling for both.
As a Gara main, I find that I find all those setups very suboptimal. Gara is in fact is weaker than she ever was. Since whispers in the wall her damage dropped by about 16x. Well, she no longer nukes for over 36 million damage per mass vitrify, but everything still dies, so not much of a difference in actual gameplay. As far as weapons go, a normal weapon with a riven will always be better and an incarnon w/o. Rivenless nowdays, I only ever consider dorrclaive a good option because of the free slash procs. If you want to tripple your damage from time to time, you can also use Madurai for ability power and chaos strike. Both stack nicely with explosion and splinter storm, at the cost of you having to keep your combo up at all times, because you can loose it if you don't hit anything for 19.5 sec. Guardian Derision is also usefull in keeping your combo up, with the extra benefit of taunting things that don't die instantly. Prime sure footed is never needed on Gara, since you can negate knockdowns just fine with you melee. 280% Range is something that makes her feel a lot better in comparison. As far as incarnons go, the MK1-BO is the winner for me, comming with innate 70% HE and 20% movement speed and 38% chance for you 1 to apply status, potentially doubling your damage, or disabling enemy DR. Also, having 175% efficiency is a must for me, though I can see how others might not recognize it. I enjoy your videos and often refer to them when deciding on a new build, so I decided to chip in with some advise.

You cant crit on your 4, but your 1 can cause its a pseudoexalted. Use Ceramin Dagger or (regular version of) Magistar Incarnons as statsticks, and your 1 will inherit the crit chance from their evolutions (by default her 1 has 0% crit chance), and crit buffs from the mods you put on. You can make it even stronger if you use melee arcane for infinite combo. Magistar will give better crits, however Ceramic Dagger is easier to set up and is a way better weapon. Basically you can have 2 nuke abilities on Gara in a single build.
You know what? 5 percent of the player base doesn't play solo, infact if you play warframe solo other then grinding a very particular thing id like to see more of this that you got, WARFRAME BUILD COMBOS. Ya know? like actual SYNERGY between more tenno!

Energising shot is another really effective way of generating energy that no one seems to know about
I'm sure people are aware of it, but it requires aiming. which most of the player base loathe.

Gara used to be my favorite Warframe until I got to the Zariman but I might try her again
yellow shards for more energy orb efficiency might also be an option if you struggle with energy
I feel like Nash is cooking a Gara build at some point.
Since you run Naroman anyway, you could also use melee crescendo for your combo.
Gara has been dead for me since the eclipse nerf, I miss the large numbers that can be reached quickly in Shattered Storm

It does apply but only improves her 1 without doing anything for the vitrify explosion.

Doesn't the incarnon evolution absolute valor on ceramic dagger give crit chance to chattered lash (it's only 30% but it could be a factor right?), I'm asking purely out of curiosity cuz I've seen that sentiment around a bunch (edit: now that I think about it that might not work on her 4, but gun and blade is still really good)
Even if you 1 does red crits, that does not affect the damage of the explosion or splinter storm damage gain. Since we're using Rauta for max combo, the ceramic dagger becomes useless(also riven is very expensive). If you don't want to use rauta, then you can consider using the ceramic dagger. With a good riven, with Ceramic dagger you can have e permanent 11x combo. Gara can be built in many different ways, each having it's advantages.
How are you keeping your Arcane Fury procced? If I'm understanding correctly, her 2 and 4 don't crit in this build, so they aren't maintaining it.

i.e. tenet Livia pauses combo, so you could just stack combo, put it away, and never lose it???
These weapons wipe combo when casting an exalt or pseudo exalt

I have been running Pillage Gara for a while now and she was nuking well. It would usually out kill and DPS Saryns, at least untill the Emerald Shards came out. Just run 175% efficiency, since Pillage + vitrify's do the shield gating for you. Need just enough strength at 250 kills to fully strip with 2 Pillage casts.

Yes but then it also makes your 4 weaker since modding for crit doesn’t affect it. So basically you decide between 1, 4, or a hybrid build which has *most* of the scaling for both.
How does arcane fury work on your 4 ability? I thought fury was for melee?
1 is psuedo melee and 4 eats in 1's dmg and deals it in aoe.
The melee damage applies to the 1 skill. Though, it's no longer multiplicative, so it's not as useful as you might think.

As a Gara main, I find that I find all those setups very suboptimal. Gara is in fact is weaker than she ever was. Since whispers in the wall her damage dropped by about 16x. Well, she no longer nukes for over 36 million damage per mass vitrify, but everything still dies, so not much of a difference in actual gameplay. As far as weapons go, a normal weapon with a riven will always be better and an incarnon w/o. Rivenless nowdays, I only ever consider dorrclaive a good option because of the free slash procs. If you want to tripple your damage from time to time, you can also use Madurai for ability power and chaos strike. Both stack nicely with explosion and splinter storm, at the cost of you having to keep your combo up at all times, because you can loose it if you don't hit anything for 19.5 sec. Guardian Derision is also usefull in keeping your combo up, with the extra benefit of taunting things that don't die instantly. Prime sure footed is never needed on Gara, since you can negate knockdowns just fine with you melee. 280% Range is something that makes her feel a lot better in comparison. As far as incarnons go, the MK1-BO is the winner for me, comming with innate 70% HE and 20% movement speed and 38% chance for you 1 to apply status, potentially doubling your damage, or disabling enemy DR. Also, having 175% efficiency is a must for me, though I can see how others might not recognize it.
I enjoy your videos and often refer to them when deciding on a new build, so I decided to chip in with some advise.

You cant crit on your 4, but your 1 can cause its a pseudoexalted. Use Ceramin Dagger or (regular version of) Magistar Incarnons as statsticks, and your 1 will inherit the crit chance from their evolutions (by default her 1 has 0% crit chance), and crit buffs from the mods you put on. You can make it even stronger if you use melee arcane for infinite combo. Magistar will give better crits, however Ceramic Dagger is easier to set up and is a way better weapon.
Basically you can have 2 nuke abilities on Gara in a single build.
Still way too much work to make her kinda work.
