I agree. Kuva is far harder to get at the moment. You barely get any unless you save up, and you use like 3.5k each roll (unless you get a good roll during your first few rolls. It is probably one of if not the worst resource grind in the game Edit: I will say, you can get a lil bit from weeklies, but that is timegated, and not everyone’s lucky enough to get a usable roll with just, say, 35k Kuva.
@@yamnbam4346This is the weirdest thing for me to see. I have 45k of kuva saved up over three years (playing for about an hour or so 4 times a week). And I never thought of it as a grind until your comment. What a pain!
@@Cyberdragunz well yea, there’s a good chance you’re not using it though. I’d argue using requiem relics like that isn’t a good idea, unless Kuva is the only option and there aren’t requiem mods. A lot of people just stockpile requiem relics in the event they need a requiem mod to sell or use or whatever

Same, bro. I unlocked steel path just a couple of weeks ago, talked to Teshin since I saw this Rubik cube resources thingy. I stopped playing shortly after the lich system got introduced and Idk how to deal with them so I just gave up.
@@AMV_KINGDOM_mv rivens were meant to bring life back to bad or forgotten weapons and failed horribly at it. Incarnations do the same thing but actually do it well
@darkwolf9637 incarnons would require more works to be done, more effort so to say. It's impossible for DE to cover all weapons with an incarnon version. That's why riven exists, it's a blanket solution.
Steel essence only matters to me when new primes drop. After you hit 180 rivens for guns you like, there's not much need to do sorties or buy new ones.
Maybe a change to rivens would be good too. I know being a little slot machine with its effects is quite casino. But what about adding the opportunity to get a 100 kills on a certain alert steel path mission with your riven weapon to be rewarded with a roll of it at the end of the mission, much like cracking a relic.
This is a horse I've been beating since rivens were introduced but I don't mind bringing the bat out every now and then. Rivens should be completely removed from the game.
I've found that many players I've discussed with about riven and stat anchoring, would be, each 100 rolls you can lock one stat. this wouldn't be too OP and make people at least a bit rewarded but needing nearly as much kuva while people could enjoy at least throwing millions of kuva at their favorite riven/weapon of choice. in fact they started to add kuva within paid packs recently. but along stuff you can't pay with platinums though.
@@Jes9119I don’t disagree…honestly, Rivens are a power pursuit that feel statistically overwhelming (to many stat categories and also the ability to role negative stats). They are so statistically overwhelming and inconsistent to the point of not really even being worth it (the grind, rerolling, gaining kuva) for players that have galvanized, primed, and arcanes. Rivens are definitely a lottery system designed to keep those free to play players grinding their life away, just so they don’t have to spend money. All for that unicorn riven that could be hit with a disposition nerf at any time. I don’t bother pursuing specific rivens for specific weapons, not with the time or the headache of not getting the “ideal role”. Rivens for me are not a pursuit, but rather a pipe dream.
Ophelia is also one of the best ways of farming Tellurium outside of high-level Archwing missions and is infact the recommended Tellurium Farm location
God all those old dystopia videos remind me of when the game was team based and having an actual coordinated team meant a lot more than it does now. What a time to be alive :c takes me back. Awesome vid as always. I will now hop on Tamu
you must not run into the same public lobbies I do. people are rude and act like they have to speed run everything. A coordinated squad is still needed for some missions on steel path or archon hunt because I swear some of these people are either stupid or cause the missions to fail on purpose.
@@XristoferLee what you're saying is true, but it's not what it's all about. @@beanup2574 I agree with this up to a point. Even if I was doing everything solo even during those times I did it using a cheese wisp build so im the exception. What I wish is that the game became a bit more difficult so that running team oriented setups like nidus/ivara, banshee/octavia and so on would actually be needed. Its a team, community driven game after all
Idiot take tbh, this mindset is what gave us the rivens, kuva fortress and steel path in the first place. "Hardcore" gamers whining that everything is too easy running meta glitch builds, then get what they want and immediately start looking for new cheese. And the cycle continues. If you want diff just run core frame , lato, skana etc unmodded.

Thank god I stopped caring about that garbage and my time enjoying this game have increases a million percent. DE should remove rivens from the game and make riven bros vary angry
The steel essence stacking still affects the game and the decisions that DE makes now. Weekly limits and certain loot buying limits. Arcanes purchased in Duviri, you can only buy 1 after each refresh. The loot cave that was Jade Shadows and the double drops you got from killing the sister there. Operation: Belly of the Beast had limits on everything you could purchase in the shop, namely the arcanes were limited in purchase to where you could only get 2 completed ones. I wouldn't be surprised if for 1999 that they put loot limits for any new arcanes and weapons. The moment DE starts to limit the loot grind for weapons and frames is where the line is crossed.
They limited purchases to protect the in game economy but also because people always complain about the fact there's too much stuff and oh god the grind! without realizing that the grind was only awful because of them. You don't need to spend 8 hours a day to get all the stuff, and quite frankly you shouldn't. They aren't going to limit typical stuff, it was only just for the event because every operation we hear the same tedious complaints.
It is quite difficult, because you can get everything in the game and there are people, who play the games like millionaires (time and strategy). Tbh, having such a big discrepancy is not good for the game.
@@LilFeralGangrel but you nly need one of those solutions, either you cap the grind or you make it awfully bad, having both at the same time is a way to fuck with the players.
Farming for Kuva/steel essense sucks today still. It takes hours even with boosters and loot frames such as Nekros, Hydroid, Khora and even the Boosts from the Smeeta. Its come down to the point where i'd just wait each weeks for iron wake reset ro get my weekly kuva because im so bored and tired of gridning for kuva while waiting for each expansion to drop new content.
i think the problem lies in grinding being "necessary" to the game's design. Nev's argument at the end is saying "well if the farms are too easy you run out of content and you'll go play a different game". this is telling of how this game actually is, because if it was pure genuine fun without having to worry about collecting resources there would be NO GAME
hard disagree, there are so few things that you really have to grind in this game. I feel like people think of running a mission 2 times to get 1000 of a resource is "grinding". Sorry but that's just aquirring the thing. Also I've had so much fun with the community in this game outside of trying to farm the new shiny thing. I'm rearranging the my dojo atm and haven't played an actual mission in like 3 days.
Everything is grinding dude. You farm hunting, fishing, resources, model parts, 30 different kinds of currencies across game mechanics all stacked up over the years just to be able to have a build that lets you play the actual game. Hell, it takes WEEKS to farm for styanax the intended way. I think you've become blind as to what farming actually is
You know the meme "Well yes! but actually no!"? That's my response to this haha. You need some way to motivate your players to keep them invested, and the most universal way to do that is to make something they don't have attainable, by making them earn it. The line for many people on how attainable vs. how much they want the thing they don't have is not only personal in preference, it's personal in gameplay. Some people are mechanically talented when it comes to FPS games, and it makes attaining mid ranks much easier as they practice the specific nuances of their game (be it economy, cooldowns, teamplay or whatever,) those players will strive for harder and more difficult ranks, directly competing with people that want that same rank and will take them down to do it. In this instance, the thing the players don't have is some kind of accolade or seasonal cosmetic, they grind and practice their aim and abilities and their gamesense so that they can get the thing because of the grind itself. The rank is ultimately meaningless to most competitive players, and for them the act of competing and winning and losing games, adapting to game balance etc. is the main thing that keeps them playing. In other games, it might be less about the act of playing the game and grinding and more about the thing itself, I think the most obvious example would be minecraft. There is no real reason to grind anything in particular in minecraft, you can "beat" the game by just killing the ender dragon using a few well known tricks and optimizing the game to it's most bare parts, the current world records for the games have the ender dragon dead in like under 10 mins if I'm not mistaken. However, most people don't kill the ender dragon just to beat the game, they kill the ender dragon because they want the things it grants access to, namely the elytra. Same thing with netherite armor and killing wither bosses and grinding resources, nobody really grinds minecraft because the act of grinding is particularly fun, (i mean, I guess some people do enjoy the grind as like a therapy thing sort of?) they mostly do it because they want to get the things to make more things. There is no real need to grind for diamonds or netherite or potions even, but those rewards are the things you care about, and you do the grind because you want the rewards, even if they're not necessary. Whether you find either of those kinds of games fun is personal, for how long or how seriously you dedicate yourself to it is personal, whether or not you care about the rewards, or you care about the grind itself, is largely personal. This same argument follows time investment, some people really like investing lots of time into large tasks for big payouts, and others like investing small amounts of time for smaller payouts, for each person, the "time invested to reward size" ratio is super subjective, and it can be for a million reasons. For me personally, I despise everything about the zariman grind, the medallion system can gargle my hairy nuts, it's the worst and most awful thing on planet earth and it should have died with the old syndicates. For many others, they actually like the zariman, and the medallion system was a highlight to them somehow. My main argument against zariman largely had to do with the "G a m e p l a y" of finding the stupid medallions scattered around a gigantic tile, for me, I felt that my time was largely being wasted, and it took me a particularly long time to muscle through it because I wasn't having fun with it at all. I also didn't really value the rewards from the zariman either, the extra amp arcane slot was really not that important to me at the time because I wasn't doing many eidolon farms anymore, nor was I farming cascade nearly as much as I am now. Even when I started getting into cascade, it took me a long, painful, slow grind to finish the zariman, and a large part of my grind was actually spent waiting for yonta to bring the specific voidplume I needed because I refused to wander around aimlessly breaking tons of containers with xaku or using the actual joke that is the "golden instinct" subsume. I specifically avoided a grind because of how unfun it was, but ultimately, that "unfun" experience was just my own, and many many people did not feel like their time was wasted by searching out for the stupid voidplumes. I personally never had an issue with fishing or hunting animals in any of the 3 main open worlds, I found that with a bit of research, the rewards for doing those grinds even partially optimized respected my time much more than most people said it did, and yet for many fishing and hunting animals was a severe lowlight for them and a major painpoint of the open worlds. Grinding is necessary for almost all game design, whether or not it FEELS like grinding or what grinding even feels like to you specifically is just too difficult to pin on DE as some kind of negative. There are parts of the game that require more time investment than others, but sometimes that time investment can be boiled down to bad luck, or having it be self inflicted because "holy shit I do not want to wander around aimlessly picking up stupid fucking rocks" takes over. Sometimes that time investment is super fun, sitting in a defense mission with the boys and talking shit to each other might be the worst way to grind ever, but you might just do it because it's fun. You might avoid defense like the plague because the grind ruins the fun for you, it's just all relative and it can't be made objective or black and white, you can't really remove the grind from gaming, it's part of the experience
@@eggofwah4852 Nah. Me going to work for a week isn't grinding. Going for 6 months without vacation and mind set on a specific goal, that's more like a grind. And not many things in warframe require the latter.
DE could've just send ultra sentient squad just for a recon and if tactic hasn't changed send another squad "adapted" to that afk farm. It's so damn easy to fix exploits.
The solution to this would be a new adapter that locks one stat of the riven so you don't lose it while rerolling. Being able to use as many as you want per riven. Adapters should be pretty difficult to obtain too, but by skill, not rng. To be honest the insane kuva investments and the slot machine system were never healthy for the community and they should be eventually replaced with something better.
The sad thing is this has been suggested *multiple times* to DE and they give some bullshit excuse about why they don't want to do it. The real reason is the same reason given in the video, if you can select one stat to keep, then you roll until you get that stat, pin it and then roll until you get the other stat you need, lock that and then roll until you get a neglible negative for maximum boost. This means that Riven prices drop because 'God Rolls' are a lot easier to come by (as they did when Kuva was unlimited on Steel Path) and thus less Platinum for DE.
@@luketfer nah, for me I just dislike the idea because all of a sudden riven mods would become "essential" on literally every single weapon in the game. And every weapon would suddenly take 30-50 hours to max out. At least with them being completely random 99.9% of people can completely ignore them if they want to with 0 consequences. But once you start to make it so "god rolls" are something you can work towards it becomes a part of actual progression.
@@cocoxcocoa what? Its already something you can work towards. Its not part of progression unless you want it to be. You can clear steel path with any weapon with sub optimal modding and no riven if you want to. The point of making it less random by locking in stats is to give players a reasonable way to achieve good rolls without spending millions of kuva per riven. God rolls are already out there and pretty common and if you want your weapon to be the absolute best it can be then youd need one. Nothing would change for people not interested in rivens other than the benefit of making them cheaper for if you ever decided you wanted one. Rivens arent required and are only there to make your favorite weapons better if so you choose. People have gone to level cap with a fishing spear ffs you can play however you want
Your production quality has really improved in the time I've been watching you. Just want to say kudos and recognize the hard work. Still love your videos!
Best solution I can think of... SCALE THE SHOP. Make it so the first 25 purchases are normal, but then there is some additional stack, like the next 25 will be at 1.5x or 2x the initial cost, then it increases again. So as you get higher and higher amounts, the reward is less. Sort of an inverse to the Kuva costs for Riven rolling, rather then quickly hitting the max roll cost, instead it slowly ramps up.
That would be great. No imaginary buying limit but rather a Teshin that says, well you are a very good costumer, dont mind if you pay a little bit extra. :D Also, they already introduced the Helmith with this feature of feeding him. He wont be happy getting my millions of nano spores.
@@zjpdarkblaze But then players who might initially struggle to get the resource when first entering steel path, would be unfairly punished. Given the other way to get primary and secondary arcanes is Duviri, it's not a great idea. Also, it would still not address the issue of people buying 200 relics in a week. It would actually reward the super-efficient farms as they would get all they need without risking losing the materials, while as mentioned, punishing the new/non-meta players in Steel Path. This would have the exact opposite effect to what you were probably expecting.
honestly i don't think kuva is that bad? rivens are optional content and you don't even need them to complete everything in the game, they're just there to give you something to chase in the background like going after god rolls in destiny
When D E decided to impose the steel Essence pick up time limit they actually told us 2 weeks ahead of time that on the next update it would be getting despawning as well as vital essence. I literally spent more than 10 hours a day stacking and farming steel essence had over 30,000 & all my rivens god rolled, by the time they put the despawn in place. However when they decided to put the limit on how much kuva and Relics you could buy there was no warning, just hot fix boom💥
Oh and you could add that now asia still afk-bots survivals for 10+ hrs for essence/arcane farm and DE could easily fix it making this brainded mode require human interaction, yet they dont
27:32 oh hey that's me! edit: i dedicated that year's August to farming SE back when the drops were absurd, and it lasted me for years. I still have some, altough I only play a few times a year since, but still. I got enough drops to guarantee my prime drops years in advance!
Watching this video made me realize something. Warframe isn't a game. It's a lesson in the Stock Market with Subway Surfers gameplay underneath it to keep your attention.
When they put a cap on how much Steel Essence you.can get from Teshin per week, it kind of killed the game for me. Its already hard enough to roll a good riven and only about 2 or 3 good Arbitrations pop up each week.
@@marcbiriescu5405i did encounter someone called "-N00blBlank-" during a steel path survival mission which actually brought back nostalgic memories since that person was using his color schemes.
So, I know a lot of new players. And most of them have considered quitting the game because of Nitain existing. So at least, for current warframe, I'd say that is the most problematic rescource. They find it to be extremely scummy and greedy to exist in the game. You need nitain, and its only in nightwave, but nightwave is how you get reactors and catalyst which you need to play the game. So they see it as a big go fuck yourself spend plat on these and buy nitain instead because you have to. This is their argument. As someone who hasn't needed nitain in years. I can't bring myself to empathize with the complaint because I just cant see the issue. But logically I can agree its kinda fucked up garbage. Reading further comments, people say Kuva and Rivens. I'm not gonna lie. They are almost objectively irrelevant. I've had several 'god rolls' One shot enemies effortlessly up to level 7000. I then sell these god rolls because they are irrelevant. I still one shot those enemies just as effortlessly. Because of this, being completely irrelevant to clearing 99.99 percent of the game. That final percent being pointless content as going to max level serves no purpose outside of being fun. I just do not care about either of these mechanics. As they simply don't matter. People just are obsessed with bigger numbers. While I do agree, ethically, casino bad. But for actual practical purpose. Rivens do not matter outside of bragging. So I can't bring myself to care. It's just free plat when I get a good one. I still think it is currently Nitain, as people consider and do quit over it, and I've never heard of that sentiment for rivens or Kuva. Also I am aware this is a History of Warframe video. Not trying to determine the current most problematic thing. This is just the rant that appeared in my head when I read the title. And I like yapping. Once I have time to watch the video, I may edit this comment, as this guy has much more sources than me for how problematic Steel Essence has been and currently is.
New players don’t really need Nitain to build much besides Vauban, right? Are there really any early game items that new players desperately need that require Nitain? I always figured it’s more of a long-term goal sort of thing.
A float is just a decimal. There are various data types for decimals though but a float is the largest data type for a decimal number. You also get doubles which I think is limited to two decimal places. The differences in these data types is mostly for data efficiency so that you don't store too much unnecessary data. Storing an integer for instance on ammo means there is no decimal for ammo as you cannot have half a bullet but the other case is to not store the data of .0 as it eventually adds up. So when talking about floats and ints just understand that it's decimals and non decimals but decimals are split into different data types for efficiency purposes but floats are the most common decimal data type because they can store data up to the largest decimal point.
The funny thing is people haven't seem to have gotten that notion. Over the years as rivens have become easier to acquire and easier to roll I still see the same ridiculous price ranges. Because some people want to be stuck in a time period. Sadly it's one of the biggest reasons why mainly don't sell or buy rivens. That's just too many. Prioritizing God rolls versus anything else. So that's primarily what you see being sold. You think that would give an advantage to those who sell God rolls reasonably. For me I rarely would consider selling a god roll over a thousand Platinum unless I don't want to part with it. Yet I don't get any attention when I try. Yet somehow people are selling them for 3-5 would I be selling. It's really just not worth the time investment. Irony also being because some people value it more while others value it less but that's not the only thing that gets Reversed. You'll have the ones who should be selling them cheaper because of how much easier it is for them to farm it and get God rules compared to the others. Being more consistently selling high while the others you actually are struggling to reroll there's and to get God rules be more likely to sell for a reasonable price because they need the plat. It's really just a cluster f*** of chaos an inconsistency.
Few players who played Steel Path a lot in the beginning when it was just a regular drop there say that they have bought everything and still have tons left over. And yeah the fact that the resource drops only from Acolytes and is very rare in quantity/time it takes, it makes them in a way even more scarce than Archon Shards are these days. Granted unlike Archon Shards where you are limited to certain amount each week, Steel Essence can be farmed as much as 24 h/week allows. It's just that for the time investment and return, most players won't even bother. The only ones who are farminng it are the ones who have nothing else left to do in the game.
Steel-path incursions plus general steel-path mission play will naturally result in people acquiring hundreds of steel essence weekly. It is by no means more scarce resource than archon shards.
@@nobodyscomment929 It is for the things you buy with it. Just take in the statement above with care and time. Those some players have everything and then some. Meaning they have Umbra forma on their gear for as many times they've been on sale. They have all the stance formas & everything Steel Path Honors shop has to offer. As of today catching up will as much as possible take almost a full year of farming actively every day. With Archon shards you can get roughly 1 frame's worth of shards and one or two leftover. It takes less than a year and the amount of time in a week invested it takes far less time to achieve results.
@@rasurin Read the comment fully and with thought first, and only after then return to comment, otherwise this is like chess with pidgeons and I'm not the pidgeon. I said that in comparison Steel Essence is more "scarce" for the quantity/time it takes for the investment/cost you get out from it. In just an hour you can do all the Archon Shard missions for the week and on average you get roughly 7 shards, which is 2 more than any single Warframe takes (excluding Ascent Fusion shards: Violet, Topaz & Emerald) & of the Fused shards only few frames actually use them in the end. Then compare that to the Steel Essence farm where some early players have everything they want from the Steel Path Honors shop. That means all the Stance aura mods, cosmetics, BP's and as many Umbra forma as the shop allows a player to buy (mind you they did not used to have weekly buy limitations either). For a player to now catch up to that as much as they realistically could, it takes roughly a year of active grind for few hours each day. Now if players could farm Archon shards as frequently and often as they can Steel Essence, then the players on average would be done within a month or few at most. That is far less of a time/gain investment compared to the Steel Essence. Ever since they introduced the current systems for Archon Shards in 27th of May 2024 (5 months ago), I have already nearly completed half the roster and that includes Primes separately. The only reason Archon Shards take roughly as many weeks as Steel Essence farm is simply due to limited times you can farm them for each week. That has nothing to do with actual scarcity and everything to do with artificially limitation of different components. So no, I am not delusional. What I am is mathematically literate veteran, a founder and someone who's been there from the beginning of closed beta.
@Jenkkimie "This is like playing chess with pigeons, and I am not the pigeon." This is absolutely right, you're not the pigeon, you're the rock the pigeon craps on whilst everyone else is playing chess. There are 6 steel-path missions daily, which offer a guaranteed 5 steel essence. Meaning in a single week, a person can acquire 210 steel essence with easy. However, many of the steel-path missions last long enough for an acolyte to spawn, which is another 2 steel-essence for a total of 7 steel-essence per steel-path incursion (9 with a resource booster). So, theoretically, an individual could acquire 294 steel essence weekly just by doing steel-path incursions alone. Of course, this doesn't factor in normal steel-path play which can result in a person fighting dozens upon dozens of acolyte over the course of the week as well as the steel-path void fissures offer a single steel essence per relic cracked nor the 25 steel essence that can be acquired through the steel-path circuit tree. You clearly have no clue as to what you are talking about. Archon shards are by far a more scarce resources than steel essence, which a person doing the bare minimum can still acquire 210 steel whilst an active grinder can see double or even triple that.
@@nobodyscomment929 I like how your rebuttal fails to rebute anything & only helps to reinforce my point that you did not read the comment trough with thought before replying. Yet I am the rock, apparently. I mean well done I guess. You entirely skipped and failed to account for the only point I made and instead continue to focus on a strawman of your own creation without comprehending that the argument was about (quantity/time)/gain). You only focus on the first part 'quantity' and equate that with "scarcity" but fail to address the rest of the equation I represented initially. And we all know why that is. Why neither of you, despite your concentrated efforts -- have yet to address the very point: Because you can't & you know you can't.
@@Ssian_That didn't mean you NEEDED a riven to make them strong af. Don't act like they were necessary when you have players like me who don't use rivens at all.
So I think there is a solution that works that doesn’t hurt their profits but isn’t too useful it breaks other aspects of the game. I think you could make steel essence into a speed up mechanic of sorts, maybe auto completing incarnon evolutions, spending essence to reduce mod endo upgrade costs, reduce crafting time for x amount/time, auto releveling weapons/frames post forma. This removes some more tedious activities without directly affecting most things. You could maybe even use steel essence to lock riven stats at a staggered cost, each subsequent lock costs more. Additionally, you could make it where the stat may stay the same the value of the stat can reroll still incentivizing rerolling.
As a person that’s never done an exploit and just endless missions. These exploits/glitches are crazy. Especially the perm rhino buff and afk smeeta buff/stacking
About the grind not being rewarding enough being better because you're still playing the game, I play this game for like a month and then stop playing it for 6-8 months at at time BECAUSE the grind is too grindy. I'd be playing it a lot more if progressing one thing one step didn't require 4 or 5 things in a row. The grind isn't "Not rewarding enough." Its not rewarding, period.
I remembered I got invited to do the SE farm inside that hole as nekros prime. We were gonna stay for an hour but someone got disconnected at 40 minutes mark. So we left and I barely got any at all. It was dreadful.
I wish DE made it so whenever smeeta charms you, it actually tells what buff is currently active. Maybe a medium sized banner shows up on top of the screen or on the right side. This would be nice
Personally, i don't have any problem when farming Steel Essence. Opening relics in CA Omnia fissures is an easy way to farm steel essence while taking prime parts from any kind of relic (except requiem). And for Kuva, today you can have them from many places, like weekly transactions in Chrysalith and Iron Wake, selectable in the Circuit, as reward in Sorties and Archon Hunts, Nightwave offerings and maybe other places that i'm forgetting right now.
If they boost SE then they should add legendary rivens (higher stats, very exclusive, special extras) and reroll with a large amount of steel essence and kuva. There should be more exclusive items in the game to make players builds one of a kind and something to be proud of/flex with.
Come to learn about steel essence, learn that DE struggled to keep farming it under control and learned 10x more about kuva and riven problems than I did steel essence. lol, great video
I think a good method for rivens would be be able to lock in a stat but increase the amount of kuva needed to reroll it but as always it will need tuning
so uh, that's weird for me, it was actually interesting to watch. Couldn't stop. I blame the video and your voice. But yeah... this amount of math is why I dont play loot games anymore for this long.
can you make a vid/short on your settings??? your game looks so smooth and i wanna copy it. not just graphics settings but like UI and stuff too. thanks!
It still is unfortunately. It's halting older players from even playing the game because we're bored of grinding for kuva and it takes too long to even get it to 100k just to relax even a little bit and roll for stats just at the possibility to get a decent roll to either keep or sell.
Rivens are every bad aspect of warframe rolled into one Completely random both for the weapon and stats Grindy as hell if you’re trying to roll your own Ridiculously overpriced if you’re trying to buy them And occasionally you get an extremely obnoxious unveiling challenge. I gave up using them years ago and just sell my veiled rivens now. Back when I did bother with I never once got a riven for a weapon I wanted to use naturally. I had to buy them every time. Just a terrible feature all around.
I sat through a 45 minute explanation of something I kind of already knew about. Just because it’s Nova And because I heard “Bangarang” in the intro. 😂 Skip for summary: Honestly. I think steel essence as it is now is fine. The issue is that the people who have used the methods in the past. And stockpiled enough kuva. Just flooded the market with overpriced rivens. Not saying prices should go down. I think if you want to buy the best possible riven for the best weapons in the game. Yeah cough up the plat. But it’s an issue when people get any riven that is considered “god rolls” and now it’s a 3-4k plat riven. And it’ll be for a weapon that isn’t even that good. Kind of depends on what people think a “god roll” is. Even if it’s not a weapon that does well with crit. People think that the best roll is cc cd with another good plus. And don’t forget if it doesn’t have a negative that benefits them it’s automatically trash and is 100 plat at most and then they will sell it to someone else for 1000 plat at least. TLDR: current system fine, some of the community are terrible.
42:40 Their perspective doesn't matter, we are the clients. Our time comes at a price. If they can't pay it, they lose. Ultimately there are other games out there, as you pointed out. [edit] To be absolutely clear on my point - the player shouldn't pay for the company's lack of foresight. It's not our problem that their creative team has the collective IQ of a majestic palm tree. Here's the reality of the situation - if they were not foolish enough to create infinite rng loops, this would not have happened. Every grind needs to have an end, even the grind for good stats on rivens. I'd go as far as say that having god rolls shouldn't be a thing. Whenever you get extremely good rolls, you must get extremely bad and meaningfully bad rolls as well. Then plug a system in where you can lock rolls in place, even at a high price. The only thing you accomplish by keeping the reroll system as it is, is starve the economy for kuva, which in turn annoys the players. It doesn't take a spiritualist medium to tell them that annoying the player is not on the list of things to do. Redo the system, hell, make a new system which leans on the old system, I don't care. There are a million ways to fix this.

I agree. Kuva is far harder to get at the moment. You barely get any unless you save up, and you use like 3.5k each roll (unless you get a good roll during your first few rolls.
It is probably one of if not the worst resource grind in the game

I will say, you can get a lil bit from weeklies, but that is timegated, and not everyone’s lucky enough to get a usable roll with just, say, 35k Kuva.

Not really tbh lol I would never take an incarnon over a high riven dispo depending on the weapon

Ooooo daddy likey

Also the intro is 🔥
i think the problem lies in grinding being "necessary" to the game's design.

Dystopia is such a great player I love seeing his vids where he finds another way to "break" the game. Love him because of that
The solution to this would be a new adapter that locks one stat of the riven so you don't lose it while rerolling. Being able to use as many as you want per riven. Adapters should be pretty difficult to obtain too, but by skill, not rng.
To be honest the insane kuva investments and the slot machine system were never healthy for the community and they should be eventually replaced with something better.
I like this idea needs expanding!
Make it some crazy corpus tech, and you need to get it from the third orb (or just make it expensive and throw it into Teshin's shop)

Also, they already introduced the Helmith with this feature of feeding him. He wont be happy getting my millions of nano spores.

cant they just let steel essence have an expiration, for example a week? just like argon crystal... that would force players to farm them every week..

Irony also being because some people value it more while others value it less but that's not the only thing that gets
Reversed.
Very nice titania fashion frame at the beginning of the video ngl. god tier skin
Ez Solution: Stop caring for stupid Riven system. No more Kuva needed :)
Nobody need them anyways. DE should get rid of them entirely :D
Imagine thinking rivens dont make a diference
@@Ssian_ For every weapons apart from Incarnons they genuinely don't
Incarnon is the only weapon I specifically get a riven for
@@DawnAfternoon Even before incarnons they did matter
Flashback to like 3/4 years ago
Bramma and zarr rivens ruled the economy
The box. You opened it. We came.
I actually met bossman, dudes awesome
I appreciate the bomb rush cyberfunk music
As a person that’s never done an exploit and just endless missions. These exploits/glitches are crazy. Especially the perm rhino buff and afk smeeta buff/stacking
i woude say its argon crystal
it not hard to get but the fact you have to go farm it everytime you need it
Huge thanks to nev for letting me feature him in this project! Show him love over at his channel here: www.youtube.com/@nev546
I don't wanna >:(
What about the evolution of warframe ai
"And thank to this [exploit] Equinox can now dps against lvl 100". damn
It’s not inaccurate to say Hermos sold his will to live for Kuva
same tbh
I just wish there are dedicated farming nodes for specific resources like how they did with credits in index.
Love your vids you got me hooked on gyre
Another fucking *BANGER*
Personally, i don't have any problem when farming Steel Essence. Opening relics in CA Omnia fissures is an easy way to farm steel essence while taking prime parts from any kind of relic (except requiem).
And for Kuva, today you can have them from many places, like weekly transactions in Chrysalith and Iron Wake, selectable in the Circuit, as reward in Sorties and Archon Hunts, Nightwave offerings and maybe other places that i'm forgetting right now.
wasn't expecting to hear Palworld music in this video ~25mins LOL
I was there for the triple charm buff. rip smeeta you will be missed
If they boost SE then they should add legendary rivens (higher stats, very exclusive, special extras) and reroll with a large amount of steel essence and kuva. There should be more exclusive items in the game to make players builds one of a kind and something to be proud of/flex with.
Bomb rush cyberfunk intro was 🔥☄️🔥☄️
Hermos would like to have a chat with you
Great video dude
Thumbnail say Steel Essence, title says Kuva, in reality it is Ducats. You're welcome.
Come to learn about steel essence, learn that DE struggled to keep farming it under control and learned 10x more about kuva and riven problems than I did steel essence. lol, great video
39:17 that pfp lmao
THE KUVA CALLED HIM.
I think a good method for rivens would be be able to lock in a stat but increase the amount of kuva needed to reroll it but as always it will need tuning
hermos spotted. the great kuva farm persisted
They should allow us to turn it into vossphor so that we can just rng arcades out of it
so uh, that's weird for me, it was actually interesting to watch. Couldn't stop. I blame the video and your voice.
But yeah... this amount of math is why I dont play loot games anymore for this long.
I just stopped sharing my builds. As for rivens..yea. the ability to lock a roll would really help
can you make a vid/short on your settings??? your game looks so smooth and i wanna copy it. not just graphics settings but like UI and stuff too. thanks!
I've found Nitain more problematic personally, also Argon just turning into dust if you don't use it
Will we speak about Hermos?
i just farm steel essence with my Chroma for Kuva every week
My brother in Christ, 1:48 of pure intro???
Ah ok, a history lesson. I thought it was an active issue.
It still is unfortunately. It's halting older players from even playing the game because we're bored of grinding for kuva and it takes too long to even get it to 100k just to relax even a little bit and roll for stats just at the possibility to get a decent roll to either keep or sell.
Rivens are every bad aspect of warframe rolled into one
Completely random both for the weapon and stats
Grindy as hell if you’re trying to roll your own
Ridiculously overpriced if you’re trying to buy them
And occasionally you get an extremely obnoxious unveiling challenge.
I gave up using them years ago and just sell my veiled rivens now. Back when I did bother with I never once got a riven for a weapon I wanted to use naturally. I had to buy them every time. Just a terrible feature all around.
I sat through a 45 minute explanation of something I kind of already knew about.
Just because it’s Nova
And because I heard “Bangarang” in the intro. 😂
Skip for summary:
Honestly.
17:19 god that standing pop gave me 'Nam Flashbacks. so much ass resonance
This has reminded me of the riven mafia 😂
the lack of a apostrophe in the title pains my soul
