Use 2 tau red duration shards and take off primed continuity and put primed flow in place of that. You'll have less crit damage than 5 violet shard builds but can keep the shield gate
great vid, although for the companion side, DO NOT run smeeta kavat as if the charm buff rolls crit, it will set the whatever crit chance you have to 200% (including whipclaw), rendering our super high cc that we mod for redundant. Adarza kavat would be the better choice here, as the 60% crit chance from cat's eye is a flat additive bonus to whatever cc our whipclaw has.
Buuuuuuuuuut. Loot. That's all. I can tank the 37s of orange crits with no issues. I can't tank knowing I might have left loot on the table. #LootGoblin
One of the best put together builds I have ever seen. I am still missing half of the stuff mentioned, including magistar incarnon (currently using a decent% kuva shieldeg) but literally every single thing you improve on or invest in just gives you immedate results back. I am at a point where I can confidently do sp cunjunction survival which is quite likely the highest level content if you are not doing endless runs. The only real issue is getting to the flow state in energy, like I have to care abt nullifying eximus and so on because if you lose your 3 and 4, you need more energy than your max pool to get going again.
From a little of my own testing, I have made the following adjustment: we can ditch Augur Reach for Primed Flow to make use of Violet Archon Shards' critical damage bonus. Since our secondary is basically free, we can put the two remaining Augur mods which so conveniently fit Pistol weapon types to get our immortality back, while skyrocketing our damage with the violets and not missing out on anything. Edit 1: What I said here is *almost* correct, the shield on a max rank Khora with these mods is indeed not enough to reach full shields without Augur Reach, off by a mere value of 4. Edit 2: However, this is not completely bad and now is a matter of tradeoffs: Catalyzing Shields will provide 1 second of shield gating at 89 shields that only two augur mods + brief respite will provide. The player misses .33 seconds of invulnerability for a *very* large pool of damage, especially if Arcane Fury, which is very expensive, is not in possession.

you can use 2x tau & 1 nontau armor shard + 2x tau/nontau crit violet + arcane battery instead of melee damage arcane and have 500+ energy, tons of armor and extra meee CD
@@MGJ182 you dont need to max your shields for shield gate. 89 shield will still give you 1.28 seconds of shield gate instead of the 1.33 seconds with 93 shields

I'm a Khora main as well, and she's an absolute beast. Venari is one of my favorite abilities, as well. I know a lot of people Helminth it off, but I find her healing ability useful, and she's a good companion.
Normal Khora has a lower max shields, so you can one cast full shield gate using brief respite + 2 augur mods on secondary (or on burst laser equipped sentinel). She also has reduced max energy in base form but this can be offset with primed flow since you no longer need an augur mod on your frame. You will need at least a rank 9 primed flow (only rank 7 on Khora Prime) in order to get full use of the violet shards.
you literally came in clutch, i ust started my own clan and i need that 5k mutagen for my hema research... khora has been my frame of choice for the farm but i kept dying to toxic ancient eximus units, now i ran ripkas with a riven and ran arcane avenger for the crit, but gotta say you opened my eyes to possibilities i never knew existed, THANK YOU
just remember that arcane resistance only gives you toxin status immunity, not toxin damage immunity so you still have to be careful around toxin eximus units
Alternatively, you can subsume Gara's *Spectrorage* onto Venari. With the *Spectrosiphon* augment mod, 50% of the enemies you kill will drop energy orbs. Because Spectrorage has roughly the same range as your Strangledome, you basically turn into an energy fountain. (You can also Ensnare enemies and pull them into Spectrorage, if you don't have enough energy for your Dome.)
I swapped in pflow for that dome mode and with a sacrifice Helios just soloed 2 netricell’s. I went down a couple times but I didn’t fail either run…and I was expecting that. Sooooo this is a pleasant surprise. Thank you!

Wait until y’all realize that the Bronco Incarnon with Dizzying Rounds and using Melee Crescendo gives her permanent 12x melee combo after a few finishers. Then you use Madurai for more damage.
If your running stuff with corrupted enemies (e.g lets say a cascade fissure) you should bring a backup weapon so you can kill corrupted, whipclaw bugs out often and won't do anything to corrupted enemies

This is probably way to late and maybe even ineffective for some reason, but by using tandem bond on venari and another applicable companion the melee combo rises so fast that there is basically no need to ever swing yourself. Am also using swipe and i believe it works in tandem with... tandem bond. increasing combo even faster.
you can still die from toxin even with Arcane Resistance, that arcane only protects you from toxin procs, but you can still take direct toxin damage from some enemies
Questions about Blood Rush/Combo Counter How does whiplash maintain it? Do you NEED to swing magistar or does whiplash make combo on its own? can you go a while without hitting enemies with whiplash or is it a time game. How do you make your combo counter go up consistently? In high level missions it might kill you to go in for so many enemies with melee and for lower level it kills them too fast, do you use any specific combos or focus schools like naramon? i read someone say it might help to keep your combo up with khora. Getting my combo up has been my biggest issue by far. Edit: I know you talked about it on your pinned comment, I just was not sure about these things still after reading it.

Wish there was a good video on alternatives for a stat stick for Khora. I missed out on Magistar and Ceramic Dagger and it's going to be 8 or 9 weeks until they come up again. My Gram with a riven just isn't cutting it...literally.

Question about magus aggress: You said it would be a pain to go into operater alot then said that doesnt matter since it works with khoras whip, does this mean that you dont have to go into operator mode to proc aggress. Might be a dumb question but i reweatched the video alot of times and dont really understand. Also is there any merit in going with going for the magistar over the sancti magistar Just for my understanding is the arcane the sole reasin why magistat is a better pick over the ceramic dagger?
@@Mavrikdev base magistars benefits are better than sancti and all you have to do is swing once in operator then it's good forever you also get more crit damage so it's much better

The alternative requires using epitaph or kuva nukor, both are capable of reaching 4 status effects easily without sacrifice the augur mods. You need secondary encumber though to get the 5th status effect. Note: nukor technically has 5 status effects with microwave, but it unfortunately does not count for lycaths hunt.

I've been looking forward to building her for a while and this is the build I'll be following. I just wonder what's going to happen if/when DE does away with stats sticks. Rebecca mentioned in one of their dev shorts that "stat sticks" was never an intended mechanic. Now who knows if they'll change it or when, but if they do it'll obviously change how these frames are played and not in a good way. I wish she had Mag's Pull. Ensnare's fine as a grouping ability, but Mag's pull feeds the Strangledome with a silver sparkling spoon. I was hoping strangledome's would keep her energy topped up, but it messes up a lot especially in high level steel path.

I don't want to be that guy, but I feel it's necessary for the sake of correct information: You state that ensnared enemies take 200% more damage from whipclaw, but they only take 100% more damage. You may be getting confused with what the wiki says, which is that they take 200% damage. The important distinction to make is that [taking 200% damage] and [taking 200% *more* damage] are not the same thing. If something takes 200% more damage, it will be taking the base 100% plus the bonus 200% mentioned, meaning they take a total of 300% damage. As mentioned earlier, the wiki says: Whipclaw inflicts 200% damage against enemies affected by Ensnare. This means they take 100% more damage on top of the already 100% damage, which is what gets you the 200%
I understand what you're saying but what is 200% of 100. 200. Saying that they take 200% more damage isn't incorrect because 200% of 100 is still 200. If I said it added 200% then it would be wrong.
Dumb question - my Khora Prime at rank 30 has 225 energy, however at 9:59 your build is 375 which seems a bit more comfy! How did you get that extra max energy?
I have the exact build but I use nourish instead . Acts the same and now I have viral and corrosive on my whip so I mode for whatever the enemy is weak against.
This is the way 😉 Except that nourish you build Khora slightly different because you want strength to affect Nourish, and contrary to popular belief, it DOES help Khora.

@jpmorgan6146 it does. You can either run the one of the brief respite combos for active shield gating or you can even build her as a shield tank with passive shield gating.

You can also swap equilibrium out for a couple of purple tau shards freeing up a mod slot.
Nothing else very useful in that slot and I use critical damage shards there.

I have a question. Would running a slash based SS for khora be ideal pairing with a nekros for farming runs? And to add to that, i havent been able to find an answer to this but would amalgam ripkas true steel work on her stat stick? meaning 100% gore meaning more desecration opportunities/body partsfor nekros to desecrate?
Wish there was a good video on alternatives for a stat stick for Khora. I missed out on Magistar and Ceramic Dagger and it's going to be 8 or 9 weeks until they come up again. My Gram with a riven just isn't cutting it...literally.
I think the kuva shildeg is a decent one for khora if you don’t have ceramic dagger or magistar.

how can you build up a 12x combo when you have to refresh it every 3 minutes? Isn't the attack speed very slow?

Question about magus aggress:
You said it would be a pain to go into operater alot then said that doesnt matter since it works with khoras whip, does this mean that you dont have to go into operator mode to proc aggress.

@@Mavrikdev base magistars benefits are better than sancti and all you have to do is swing once in operator then it's good forever
you also get more crit damage so it's much better

Is Cedo necesasry for this build? I do like using Phenmor over it for most of my build
The alternative requires using epitaph or kuva nukor, both are capable of reaching 4 status effects easily without sacrifice the augur mods. You need secondary encumber though to get the 5th status effect.
Note: nukor technically has 5 status effects with microwave, but it unfortunately does not count for lycaths hunt.

Thank you for this video, it's coming at the perfect time. I just got Khora Prime, the magister incarnon and a decently rolled riven for it. I've been looking forward to building her for a while and this is the build I'll be following.
I just wonder what's going to happen if/when DE does away with stats sticks. Rebecca mentioned in one of their dev shorts that "stat sticks" was never an intended mechanic. Now who knows if they'll change it or when, but if they do it'll obviously change how these frames are played and not in a good way. For now, I'm going to enjoy the heck out of this farming, red crit, damage queen.

I wish she had Mag's Pull. Ensnare's fine as a grouping ability, but Mag's pull feeds the Strangledome with a silver sparkling spoon. I was hoping strangledome's would keep her energy topped up, but it messes up a lot especially in high level steel path.

I don't want to be that guy, but I feel it's necessary for the sake of correct information:
You state that ensnared enemies take 200% more damage from whipclaw, but they only take 100% more damage.
You may be getting confused with what the wiki says, which is that they take 200% damage.
The important distinction to make is that [taking 200% damage] and [taking 200% *more* damage] are not the same thing.
If something takes 200% more damage, it will be taking the base 100% plus the bonus 200% mentioned, meaning they take a total of 300% damage.
As mentioned earlier, the wiki says: Whipclaw inflicts 200% damage against enemies affected by Ensnare.
This means they take 100% more damage on top of the already 100% damage, which is what gets you the 200%

Saying that they take 200% more damage isn't incorrect because 200% of 100 is still 200. If I said it added 200% then it would be wrong.

Except that nourish you build Khora slightly different because you want strength to affect Nourish, and contrary to popular belief, it DOES help Khora.
@@hardmerchandisedoes it upkeep the whip claw spam well enough to keep the shield gating going ? I’m working on building her now. Just got the magistar from the circuit and getting the Kat’s to build it. After that most of the “hard” stuff should be out the way
@jpmorgan6146 it does. You can either run the one of the brief respite combos for active shield gating or you can even build her as a shield tank with passive shield gating.
@@hardmerchandise I’ll try them both as I will have another voruna to subsume and try it out after. But since I already have nourish I’ll try it first. I initially built voruna to subsume for khora and then made a damage cap build for her and it’s so good. I’ve began getting everything I need for khora as she looks super effective and fun. How would the new galvanized steel mod be for this?
I added blade charger, cedo mostly melts everything or at least most things so its pretty crazy.
