- Hi beautiful friends and Happy New Year! I hope you had a fabulous and relaxing holiday. It’s great to be back and I’m excited to start the year off with this salvaged dresser. I found this dresser curbside and I have to admit these are my VERY FAVORITE type of makeovers. Finding a trashed yet well-built piece of furniture that looks like a hot mess, and turning it into a diamond! Today I’m sharing how to fix a bubbled laminate piece of furniture using a sander, woodfiller, paint, and primer.

I am a woodworker as well as a furniture refurbisher who enjoys your channel. To help alleviate the problem with the soft brass screws stripping, many woodworkers will in addition to drilling a pilot hole, use a steel screw to first cut threads in the wood, then remove and replace them with the “pretty brass screws” afterward.
This is an amazing tip Tom, thank you!
Enjoyed the video. You do such a good job explaining things and sharing great ideas! Thank you
I'm so glad Tory, thank YOU! 🤗
I absolutely love love love this makeover! It looks straight off a designer showroom floor.
Such a HUGE compliment. Thank you!!!
Wow, Denise! I don't have words to say how pretty this turned out! You have given an amazing tutorial and I am sure many will benefit from it! That wood grain technique looks so easy and it's gorgeous!! Happy New Year and I am looking forward to more great videos from you!
Aw, thanks, my friend. It was a great find and a really fun furniture flip to start the year off with. Happy New Year. XOXO
This was just a stunning refurbish. Your talent for putting design elements and colors to the right style is exceptional. Your pieces are always my favorite. I love all the neutral tones and interesting parings of the hardware. Very upscale. 💯🙌💕💖
Aw, Shelly thank you so much! I love this hardware too. I'll def be buying some more for future projects. :)
This was very helpful! I have a little table with bubbles. I started sanding. But didn’t think of putty. Thank you!
It will make ALL the difference Joni. You won't even know that it was bubbled. Good luck and have fun. :)
This turned out great ! I love the contrast of the faux finish on the drawer fronts vs the paint on the rest. Thanks for the tips on fixing the damaged top too !
Absolutely beautiful transformation... I love it, especially with the new handles. Thank you for sharing 😊 PS. Happy New Year, and ...wishing you the very best in this new year.
Hi Andrea! Thank you. I had a lot of fun with this one. Happy New Year to you as well 🎉💙💙
Beautiful! I love how well the two-tone look of paint and wood (or faux wood) goes with this style of dresser. And the hardware is perfect!
Thank you so much!
I was not sure that I would like this piece. But it looks amazing! Love it!!
❤❤❤
God bless you friend this brand new year🙌
I appreciate it and I appreciate you. 🤗 Happy New Year Lily! 💙
Wow as usual, you knock it outta the park! Beautiful
Thanks Susie! 🥰
This is beautiful!!! I love it!!! I also agree with those darn screws that come with hardware! Most of the time they are trash and cause more problems . What I do though sometimes is not using a drill to install which helps to a degree.
Thanks, and ya I totally agree. Check out @thomasbagwell4510 comment below...brilliant. I'm going to try it next time. :)
Wow Denise! That turned out gorgeous!! happy new year!!🎉

I want to refinish our end tables. What sealer would you recommend on a surface that needs to be water proof?
Gator Hide. I love the stuff and it’s easy to apply and super durable. I have a link under the video in the description “see more” 😊
This isn't fix bubbled laminate, this is paint laminated furniture.
