    My friend down the street loves bringing me his pride and joy A4 Allroad for some special pampering. I am always happy to help out a friend who appreciates and cares for their ride. This time, I played with some products that were generously sent to me by the team at Turtle Wax. I will be furnishing them with personal feedback on the three products I used in this project. I used their Wash & Wax, Ceramic 3-in-1 Detailer, and Ceramic Spray Coating. I also received a complimentary foam cannon from the team at MJJC which worked really well. I will be offering up that foam cannon in an upcoming giveaway on my Instagram channel since I already have a pretty dialed in foam setup. So, sit back and relax and watch me spoil this 2016 Audi A4 Allroad with a therapeutic 8-hour RAD treatment! As always, I dropped all kinds of links below including soundtrack info ⤵️

As my channel grows, I anticipate getting the opportunity to interact with more and more brands, but I have to say the team at TW really spoiled me and they asked for absolutely nothing in return but personal feedback from me on how I enjoyed working with their products. I really appreciate that Chris. One thing I LOVE about working in my garage, is how "clean" I am able to keep my workspace as I move through the various steps of the process. That really makes me feel good. Things can get a little "messy" at times, but I am always striving to move through the stages while putting things away and keeping my workspace as clean and organized as I can. It slows me down, but I am not a pro so I am able to take my time and do it my way. I hope to shake your hand one day as well. 🤘

    Highly enjoyable to watch, just as always...
    I've had an almost similiar car. Q5 8R in quarzgrey, offroad-trim-package. Pretty identical to this Allroad. The colour is pretty easy to keep clean. Same goes for the trim.
    A few tipps maybe...
    1. Get some wire wool / steel wool, grade 000. It makes exhaust tip cleaning so much easier without damaging the surface.
    2. When drying, fold the mirrors in the opposite direction. That way most of the water will run out by itself and won't ruin the finish when driving
    3. Not sure about the tip you're using on your pressure washer pistole. The angle seems a bit wide, thus not delivering much force to the paint surface. Maybe useful for a quick rinse after washing, but it seems to lack quite a bit of punch when you pre-rinsed the wheels...
    Thx for the content, dude.

    • @RADGarage
      @RADGarage  3 роки тому +1

      Thanks for the helpful feedback. I blow the mirrors out with the master blaster but otherwise turning the mirrors up is a great tip. The driver’s side front wheel had a coating of grease on some of the spokes. That’s why the pressure washer seemed ineffective in that one shot. I can assure you the AR630TSS pressure washer is plenty powerful even with the 40-040 nozzle tip. LI didn’t use steel wool on the tips because the stainless steel coating on the edges is somewhat compromised and I didn’t want to add to the degradation. Thanks again. 🙏

    Pros.... wide neck wide bottom
    All fill with no spill
    Super super foamy
    Comes with spares
    Cons... can't think of any..
    TW certainly having a big push in the UK now but I kind of find their range "branding" a bit confusing sometimes....K.I.S.S.

    • @RADGarage
      @RADGarage  3 роки тому +1

      Yup, the MJJC worked wonderfully. I'm going to be giving it away because I don't like having multiple versions of the same tool, but I think I would be completely satisfied if it were my only foam cannon. The TW line up does require some thought as far as what products do what. I feel like there are 1000 combinations you could use with the products they sent me. It will be a while before I am able to use them all, but I it is obvious they are committed to creating solid products.

    Do you mind giving me the dilution ratio you are using for snow foam ans also for Wash & Wax shampoo ?
    My bro tried it but faced some streaking issues and I believe it was due to bad dilution.
    It also seems to be more effective when used with warm water.
    Looking forward to getting your feedbcack about it.
    Always such a pleasure to see you in action.
    Take care bud and stay RAD 😎😎😎 !
    Greg

    • @RADGarage
      @RADGarage  3 роки тому

      Gregg, for foam I suavely use 900ml water to 100ml foam. I don't always measure precisely but that' the general ratio I use. With that Wash & Wax, I filled a 5 gallon bucket and dumped what I thought was a decent amount of product in. But, it was very "watery" so I dumped in way more. I believe the label directed the user to use 1-gallon of water, but that just doesn't work for me. I like using a large bucket when washing. So, I think I may have messed that part of the process up a little. I didn't notice any streaking on the car, but I found the bucket mixture runny and not as "soapy" as I am used to. I did use warm water since I have both hot and cold water in the garage. Next time I give it a shot, I am going to stick to the directions better and see how it goes.

    Good morning Rick, great video, and nice to see Turtle was step up their game. They were one of the brands I remember as a child. Question is it your preference to do the interior last? I’m always afraid of something happening to the exterior that I do the interior first.
    Have a great weekend my friend.

    • @RADGarage
      @RADGarage  3 роки тому

      Yeah, it was a real blast from the past seeing the turtle logo on the products I was using for this one. I had to include some vintage ads just to bring that retro feel to the video. I usually do the interior first, but lately I have been mixing it up. It really comes down to what I am most excited to tackle out of the gate. If an interior is a disaster, I tend to tackle that first while I have more energy. As the hours tick away, my age starts to show.

      @RADGarage  3 роки тому +1

      I'm always hesitant to comment on a product's performance after my initial use. I'm never quite certain I am using it properly. That said, that Wash & Wax was a departure from my usual type of wash soap. It didn't lather nearly as much as the shampoos I am used to, but I think that is by design. Rinsing panel by panel was a bit of a pain, but it did seem to leave the paint with a layer of slickness. I loved the 3-in-1 detailer. It was the perfect product for the jambs and sills. I liked how it had some bite to it, but also finished very smooth. The Ceramic Spray Detailer was more "pastey" than I anticipated, but I got used to it as things progress. Using one towel to apply and a second towel to buff off was definitely the way to go and there is no denying that car left my garage looking amazing. In the end, that's all that mattes. Yes, there are actually four of them. I put them in the wheel barrels to catch the rusty water that was dripping from the brake components, but then they got blown out when I did the foam stage. Good eye! 👀

    Hello, Please activate the subtitles in Portuguese (Brazil). I really like your videos, but because of the language, I can't understand what you speak.

      Infelizmente, isso dá muito trabalho e já estou bastante ocupado. Você tem que digitar manualmente cada palavra que diz e depois imaginar todos os diferentes idiomas falados por meus espectadores. Eu gostaria de poder fazer isso, mas não posso fazer nenhuma promessa.

      @@RADGarage I wanted to ask, where can I get the rugs that you advertised, I followed the links, but there are only Canada and the USA, and I live in Italy, I need to go to Skinny Santa Fe 2015, can you help?, I'll pay

      I understand that Tuxmat does not have a global distribution network up and running at this time. The best advice I can offer is to give them a call or drop them an email. (Perhaps I am misunderstanding what "rugs" you mean")

    Do people in his videos even drive cars? I have new A6 and it is full of paint stone chip damage because it is just unavoidable while putting miles on car...none of those cars here have a single chip damage lol.

      Three words: paint protection film. Most of us have PPF on our cars because this city loves to put gravel down in the winter.

      Is your comment in reference to the fact that I used some Turtle Wax products in this video? 🤔
