Nice work sir! I saw you used detail spray to wipe off the polish? I would think that its glossifiers would get in the way prior to you coating the car so I prefer products like CarPro Eraser or Gyeon Prep. That's just what I like though!
Shifted Perspective Point well taken. I am hopeful the glossifying effect was neutralized with the foam, wash and application of Coating Prep prior to the coating. Glad to have you as a viewer dude!
Really good work! I like your methodic ways. I am prepearing our cars for the winter. My girlfriends car looks like it has been camouflaged and it will be seriously satisfying.
Thanks. This one was a LOT of work to produce, but it does a great job of demonstrating the process while also allowing me to advance my videography skills.
R A D G a r a g e Absolutely! If I may, is the coating you did mainly due to the seasons or would you recommend this for those of us that live in neutral climates?
I find the coatings just make the wash process (as well as the drying process) so much more rewarding. If I lived in a non-winter climate, I would still ceramic coat my vehicle because of the hydrophobic qualities as well as the extra pop it gives the paint. If you haven't already done so, I would recommend you consider a ceramic coat of your vehicle. Which one would I recommend? I'm not quite sure of that yet. I have used GTechniq, Gyeon, CarPro Quartz, and now Adam's and I don't think I have a favourite yet.
NC Detail Garage I’m going to a better job of maintaining this coating. I’m curious to see how this single coat of Adam’s measures up to the 3-coats of Gyeon it is replacing.
Thanks. I'm becoming more comfortable addressing the camera. I still might do some "no talking" versions int he future, because I like watching those ones multiple times. The ones where I'm talking aren't as fun to watch a second, third time...
Excellent video Rick like always, Nice mix of verbal explanation and polishing/ceramic footage! Once again love your garage setup gives me the motivation to finish my garage as well! Ps I too really enjoy using Adams products, not sure if you mentioned it before but what is your past/story for choosing Adams ? Cheers Carmine
I guess my Adam's story begins with a friendship with some great people in the company and it has just grown from there. I really enjoy the line and I appreciate that they keep innovating. I also like the fun factor that comes with being an Adam's customer. Thanks for watching and be sure to check out my latest upload to see the coating in action!
Rick great video once again loving the commentary you introduced now ... On your next wash Rick can you show how the water beading is now with the Adams ceramic coating please thanks , also what foam gun do you use with the Adams Mega Foam thxs
Have you ever considered taking the front and rear Lise next plates off when you wash/detail a car? It’s a small detail, but I think it makes a difference.
hollowpoint372 Yeah, sometimes I do and sometimes I don’t. One time, I took my plate off and popped on my RAD Garage plate. Finished the wash, and proceeded to drive around town for the rest of the day!
I probably went through two of those towels. I believe I soaked them right after and relegating them to other duties. I use less plush towels to remove coatings now.
Man i am happy that i found this channel! Everything is neatly organized and the video Quality is very nice. And by the way, where did you get those Bottle Hanger Racks from?
Cem Turunc Thanks for finding me! The garage is my sanctuary. Everything is where it should be and no one messes with it! The bars, hooks and shelves are all from Ikea if you can believe it.
As always great video and techniques. In regards to the hood, since it has PPF, water sheeting properties will ALWAYS be there. Regardless of coating or not. I have to agree with you....Daytona Grey Pearl is absolutely a beautiful color, when I saw it in the Audi showroom , I knew I had to order my 2018 RS3 with that color.
I agree that the PPF has inherent hydrophobic properties. They become even more pronounced when ceramic coated. I noticed the PPF did not blow dry nearly as effectively once I had removed the remains of my "dog's breakfast" of coatings. I'm looking forward to the first wash now that it is coated and seeing how easily the water blows off the surface of the PPF and the paint. I am an absolute fan of the RS3, and to see one in Daytona Grey is my idea of perfection! I hope you enjoy the heck out of the car, as I am sure you do.
Always enjoy watching your channel very inspiring .It would be nice if you included a link to were you purchase the tools you use to detail your car wheel brush buffing machine and so on.
@@RADGarage Thanks much Rick! I love your videos and your garage....I have gotten some great ideas for my garage from your videos. Do you or will you have a store for merch?
Great video! 👍 That color grey is very similar to FCA’s Granite Crystal Pearl. I’ve had a couple cars in that color and it looked amazing when clean and hid scratches very well. I’m not sure if you’ve done this already but have u considered a video regarding how u got into detailing? Is it just a hobby? Do u do it professionally as ur main job? Thanks.
Hi Marshall. Thanks for the suggestion. I have never done a video on that topic, but I have shared a bit of info on the Detailing page of my website. WWW.RADGARAGE.CA/DETAILING It might be something I do this summer when I have more time for garage projects. During the day, I am a Grade 6 teacher and detailing is my way of reenergizing and clearing my mind! I do a select number of projects throughout the year for people that I have come to know through the detailing and garage world.
Great video! I need to get around to costing my Billet Silver WK2 this summer. What kind of flooring do you have in your garage and does it channel the water outside somehow?
Hi Craig. Yes, I should probably re-apply a coating now that winter is (almost) over. The Adam's did a nice job of providing protection over the winter months, but I'd like to get a new coat on there soon. The flooring is Swisstrax (www.radgarage.ca/swisstrax-floor.html) and it does allow water to evacuate the garage as my floor is pitched towards the driveway. Let me know if you have any other questions and thanks for viewing.
can you point me in a direction of the tools you used? more specifically the pneumatic polisher that you were using on the A pillars as well as the spray you used before removing the compound. thanks!
Piedmont57 I’m happy to answer any and all questions about my gear and products so ask away. The polisher is battery-powered, not pneumatic. It’s the iBrid Nano polisher (long-neck) by Rupes. It also has a cord adaptor. It’s is amazing but I’ll warn you, it isn’t exactly cheap. I used a couple of sprays to aid in polish removal. As some astute viewers pointed out, these sprays contain glossifiers so it is a better idea to use a water/IPA mix or a paint coating prep spray. I used Adam’s Waterless Wash and also Detail Spray. I won’t use them in this way when I am coating a vehicle in the future. I performed a foam, wash and application of Coating Spray after the fact so I’m 99% confident the coating properly adhered to the paint.
Another great video!! I'm hooked on all your videos. I'm thinking about ceramic coating my car but my car will never see bad weather (so don't really care about water beading). Did you see much of a gloss/shine difference after coating it with Adams? Your shine looked good before you coated it so was wondering if you saw any difference.
Just started following you...I find your videos surreal and relaxing. I just got a 2017 Jaguar F-Pace S (black) and am looking for suggestions on how to detail. thank you for your videos
Thanks Lance. I am a huge fan of the F-Pace, especially the S. Black is a high maintenance colour but looks so good. It’s nice to hear you find my videos relaxing. That’s why I do it.

Hi Rick - Dean here from Whistler again. I just bought a brand new 2020 Audi SQ5 in Daytona Grey with black optics package. I had them deliver it with no “dealership detail coatings” on it. I got a whole fleet of new Adams detailing products from Carzilla using your discount code thank you very much. This week I plan to put on the Adams Ceramic Graphene coating (not the spray). I bought the whole kit with the UV flashlight. Because the car is brand new, I don’t need to do anything other than give it a thorough washing and drying before starting the process right?...
Hi Dean. Congrats man, that must be a great looking car. A thorough wash and dry should be enough just as long as the dealer detail team has the paint looking fresh. I used the Ethos Graphene Coating today for the very first time on a project I'm working on. I think you will enjoy the process. Have a a few light pile microfiber towels ready for the removal. Most of my microfibers are fluffy high pile, so I was a bit stressed. Man, you are in for some fun!
@@RADGarage Thanks Rick. The Adams Graphene Ceramic coating is supposed to last 5-7 years but in the severe winter climate I live in at Whistler (similar to Calgary I'm sure) can I really just put on the Graphene Ceramic and call it good for 5 years? Should I also be using Ceramic Boost or Graphene Ceramic Detail Spray? How often? After every other wash?...
Thanks. I think Adam's ceramic solutions are probably one of the most cost-effective ceramic systems out there. We will now see how it stands up against the brutal Canadian winter conditions.
Well done. 2 questions, 1 how are the Hakkapaliitta , getting a winter set for my SQ5 as well. 2 recently got my order from carzilla Gtechniq for my S3, is Carzilla a good car detailing store over there?
tsifty1 I have been pretty happy with the Hakka R2’s but they are no better than any is the Blizzaks I have had in the past. I will say they look amazing all shined up though. Such a nice sidewall design. Carzilla is my detailing store of choice. I’m lucky to have such a great shop in my city. I am there quite often. Chris, the owner, is a super chill guy with a lot of knowledge.
R A D G a r a g e keep up the great vlogs. Recently discovered all this world of detailing and it’s so rewarding during the weekends. 👍. PS I topped my ceramic Gtechniq with a coat of The last coat 2 this weekend, ready for east coast Canadian winters...
Great job, like always Rick! Saw Adams had a five year coating the other day. Ever used it or heard of it? Thinking of trading in the SQ5 tomorrow for a gray A-5 sportback. If so, I'll be doing a full detail and then will coat it myself this time, unlike the Q. Thoughts on Adams and or other coatings you've applied? Hope all is going well with school.
Nice car that A5 Sportback. Coating is pretty straight forward. I don't get caught up in the longevity claims because our cars up here take such a beating. I haven't used the latest UV version of Adam's coating, but the previous coating was super easy to apply and when topped regularly, it preformed well over the past winter and still shows signs of going on my SQ5. I think I'm going to give Ethos Graphene Coating a try this Fall. Seems like it gets great reviews for performance and application. Just be sure you have the paint as pretty as possible and then allow for a lot of application and curing time. You'll love the process. Which gray if you don't mind me asking? I love Audi grey.
@@RADGarage ...thanks for the info, I appreciate it. Brian at Apex just did a video with the new Gyeon version, so might do some homework on that and the Ethos too. The A5 is==> EXTERIOR COLOR Daytona Gray Pearl Effect

Black car - you are a brave my Sir! I had a pro install my PPF. It has Suntek film and I am super happy with the installation and how it has performed. Thanks for subbing to my channel.
Well, I have the heavy duty metal hangers that QJ sent me and I nailed and glued a strong piece of wood to the wall because I wasn't able to line the hooks up with studs. Once that piece of wood was strongly anchored, I mounted the hooks on the wood. That's all there is to it. I use two hockey pucks under the QJ frames to keep the frames from completely hanging on the hooks, because I would be devastated if the wood was ever to come away from the wall. Hope that helps.
RAD GARAGE just saw your reply. Thanks! I ordered the hooks and they arrive tomorrow. Like you, I couldn’t mount directly to studs, so I’ve used wood anchored to the studs and will screw the hooks into the wood. My garage has a “ledge” that comes up from the floor and protrudes about 3” so the wood also helps “build out” the wall so that when hung, the top of the jacks will be in the same plane as the bottom part.
Was a 2 step not overkill just to remove ceramic boost? Surely you could of saved yourself a lot of time and went with something like Sonax Perfect Finish or Scholl S20?
LSD I could have used my Adam’s 1-step but I wasn’t sure if it would be enough to remove the Gyeon MOHS that my car was coated with. So I opted for a 2-step. Remember, this is my hobby. I do it for enjoyment. I’m not as concerned with maximum efficiency as others may be. If I wasn’t in the garage doing this, I’d be watching Live PD on the couch. Did you see my Gyeon coating vid from the previous Fall?
I am still very happy with this coating. I have been pretty good about maintaining it with Boost, but it took an absolutely beating this winter and it's still kicking. I will polish the remains off in the late-summer and reapply. A single coat of Adam's Ceramic Coating was all it took to protect my car!
R A D G a r a g e for sure it is with all bells and whistles in it . I saw your Swiss tracks cleaning video and haven’t seen that you have a drain installed in your concrete. Do you have issues during winter ?
Ajdin Zolota Yes, winter presents issues. I don’t wash in the garage during the winter but melted snow creates constant water that drains out the front of my garage where it freezes, creating problems for me. The weather is so up-and-down which is always a challenge. I really wish I had a drain. 😔
For sure. It has performed just as well as GTechniq and Gyeon. I think I'll re-coat in the Fall, but I have been very happy with the performance of this Adam's Ceramic Coat.
You have a lot of Adam’s products I mean a lot just for one car. Did they pay you or give you product to use as a back drop. I also use Adam’s but I don’t have that much and I have two cars. But I will say your car looks great.
Thanks. Yes, I went a little nuts with the Adam's. When I get into a brand, I like to get every product they offer. I am not sponsored or anything, but there is few guys in the company that have been generous to me. That said, I have done more than my fair share to keep that company in the black! The only product I have that I have not used, is the Buttery Wax. Everything else has been used. I don't only detail my own car. I do a few projects here and there. Be sure to check them out!
RAD GARAGE those are like Ferrari’s I bet. How do the Adams Swirl Killers do in comparison or contrast? I’m a recent addition to the Audi family (via my 2018 Q5 PP) and I’m stoked to have found your channel.
Yeah, I still have a soft spot for waxes and spray sealants as well. The allure of coatings is just too great though. I am hoping there is a good payoff for the time it took to apply this latest coating. I plan on doing a wash once the weather starts cooperating. It was a chilly -20 C today so no wash for me.
Efren Aguilera The retractable hose is by McNaught and I’m not sure what gun you mean but I’ll assume you are asking about the foam cannon. It’s the MTM PF22.
Hi Efren, sorry this message fell through the cracks. I am quite partial to Adam's foaming cleaner because I feel like it doesn't take as much to penetrate the carpet and it doesn't leave the carpet so wet as compared to the liquid spray. That said, I do use the carpet spray as well, but I prefer the foam.
@@peterhermann7389 Yes, I have a retractable water hose in my garage. It is made by McNaught and it is called the "Retracta". It has been a great hose for the past 8 or 9 years! Feel free to ask as many questions as you want.
Wouldn't the use of adams detail spray as a polish removing aid result in both sides of the hood beading the same. Perhaps try using watered down IPA for removing polish residu. That shouldn't leave a hydrophobic layer.
Yeah, I used Adam's Waterless Wash at times as well as a spritz of Detail Spray to aid in the removal of the polish. A thorough wash followed by an application of Coating Prep left me feeling confident that the surface was ready to receive the ceramic coating. As for the hood, it wasn't the most scientific of experiments. I just wanted to see if there was any noticeable difference between naked PPF and PPF that had a mixture of ceramics and toppers added. I didn't use the Detail Spray on the passenger side of the hood. At any rate, the car is now completely coated and ready for the winter months ahead! Thanks for taking such a keen interest in the project.
frank rizzo I’m sure I missed a few little spots. Thanks for watching! I’m glad this older video still gets some views. I put a lot of work into filming this one.
Defiansy I use a detail spray to remove polish sometimes. Other times I use Waterless Wash. I am now using a surface prep. I find it a more effective way of removing polish than with a towel only.
I am not sure if any coating remained after that polish session. I gave it a good 10 passes with a medium wool pad and a correction polish and when I went over it with the details spray I couldn't see the application streak/marks that I was seeing earlier that were becoming more noticeable.
@@RADGarage here in Poland in our detailing communities we had many discussion about it with owners of houndrets Detailing Center. Always conclusion was that most of the coating's are kind a permanent bond with the clear coat. That even with a hard cutting we can't be sure we removed all. Offcourse for this we would to have some electron microscope.... and so on. There was milions of examples and descriptions and explanations, hard to translate it simple ;) but this was the conslusion more or less. Coatings are more permanent solutions - those good, not cheeps "like to be a coating for 9$" ;)
DonDomel I appreciate you taking the time to share your experience and the experience of other detailers in your part of the world. I understand the points you are making and they will add to my continued growth.Take care friend.
Removing a GEYON coating for an Adams Coating, I just don’t get this one. Quality product replace by low quality product. I don’t think I would be using a wool pad either. I don’t notice any paint measurements during the process.

R A D G a r a g e Thanks so much for the information. I will look into this very soon.
5k subs? That must be a mistake. This channel should have 100k+. Great content!
Nelson E Thanks. The subscriptions are coming sure and steady! The 100k mark may be a ways off though!
🤙✌️ Great stuff. Finally getting through your remaining videos 😂
Thanks man. I have a project coming up this weekend and I am really hoping to find time to video it.
Great Job as always Rick
Thanks. Much appreciated.
Dog's breakfast lol. Get it Rick!
NC Detail Garage I’m going to a better job of maintaining this coating. I’m curious to see how this single coat of Adam’s measures up to the 3-coats of Gyeon it is replacing.
Hurray new format!! 👍🏻
Thanks. I'm becoming more comfortable addressing the camera. I still might do some "no talking" versions int he future, because I like watching those ones multiple times. The ones where I'm talking aren't as fun to watch a second, third time...
Excellent video Rick like always,
Nice mix of verbal explanation and polishing/ceramic footage!
Once again love your garage setup gives me the motivation to finish my garage as well!
Ps I too really enjoy using Adams products, not sure if you mentioned it before but what is your past/story for choosing Adams ?
Cheers
Carmine
I guess my Adam's story begins with a friendship with some great people in the company and it has just grown from there. I really enjoy the line and I appreciate that they keep innovating. I also like the fun factor that comes with being an Adam's customer. Thanks for watching and be sure to check out my latest upload to see the coating in action!
Amazing job.😀😃😄
Thank you so much 😀
Rick great video once again loving the commentary you introduced now ... On your next wash Rick can you show how the water beading is now with the Adams ceramic coating please thanks , also what foam gun do you use with the Adams Mega Foam thxs
For sure! That will be the main focus of this weekend’s wash project. That is the foam gun I purchased through Obsessed Garage.
Such an awesome detail and coating! 👏👏👏 How many towels did you go through for leveling off coating and were they all chucked when done im assuming?
R A D G a r a g e
Thanks!!! And I’m glad I’m subscribed to the channel, some of the best content on you tube!!
lexist2112 That is nice of you to say. I love sharing my projects through video. Glad to know it is appreciated by others.
Always enjoy watching your channel very inspiring .It would be nice if you included a link to were you purchase the tools you use to detail your car wheel brush buffing machine and so on.
T M That would be a lot of links. I’ll make it easy by saying everything I use is available through Carzilla.ca and Adamspolishes.com.
@@RADGarage thanks for that info. Cheers buddy
T M Let me know if you have specific questions about the products or tools you see in the video. I’m happy to help.
I really like your SQ5 and I'm with you on the Daytona Gray Pearl! I have a RS5 in dgp. Great videos!
M Hess I would go nuts for an RS5. True dream car right there. In DGP no less! Thanks for stopping by. Keep that RS5 looking sharp, ok?
@@RADGarage Thanks much Rick! I love your videos and your garage....I have gotten some great ideas for my garage from your videos. Do you or will you have a store for merch?
I have plans to get some merchandise going, but the pandemic slowed down those plans.
Great video
Thank you Steve.
WWW.RADGARAGE.CA/DETAILING
It might be something I do this summer when I have more time for garage projects. During the day, I am a Grade 6 teacher and detailing is my way of reenergizing and clearing my mind! I do a select number of projects throughout the year for people that I have come to know through the detailing and garage world.
RAD GARAGE Thanks for the link to ur site. It was a nice read.
Nice video
Thanks. I tried some new video techniques in this one. I am happy with the video results as well as the coating results!
can you point me in a direction of the tools you used? more specifically the pneumatic polisher that you were using on the A pillars as well as the spray you used before removing the compound.
Will Ceramic coat it for the gloss! It is very noticeable.
@@RADGarage do you have just one go to on detailing brand for your SQ5? I want the best, especially for the black Jag....
Where do you reside? Some brands are only available in certain regions. In Canada, I'd say I have easy access to about 80% of global brands available.

Kevin Fox Poor guy.
Dean Linnell If you want, you can email me at radgarageyyc@gmail.com. Easier to chat that way.
👌 motivation in the first place !! just why it's all expensive !!!👌🤪
👍. PS I topped my ceramic Gtechniq with a coat of The last coat 2 this weekend, ready for east coast Canadian winters...
tsifty1 I think your GTechniq will serve you well this winter. It got me through a few in my old SQ5.
Did you not like the Gyeon Synchro system? Would you recommend it's use or do you now prefer another coating?
E.J Harris I liked it. It was a lot of work to apply but it did it’s job. I am hoping the one layer of Adam’s is enough to survive one winter.
masterclass.
Thanks. It's appreciated.
The A5 is==>

Great Video (New Sub here). I just picked up a 2019 SQ5 Prestige Mythos Black. What type of PPF did you apply? Did you do it yourself?
Black car - you are a brave my Sir! I had a pro install my PPF. It has Suntek film and I am super happy with the installation and how it has performed. Thanks for subbing to my channel.
Rick. So At this juncture, you had removed the PPF I saw installed during your first video series with this SQ5?
Frankie Kenneth No, that PPF remains. It has performed very well over the past 2+ years.
RAD GARAGE ohhh. So all this detailing is “on-top” of PPF? I had no idea these products would work like that wow.
Basically, the whole front end is PPF'd and I coat it just like I do the rest of the vehicle.
RAD GARAGE wow. I’m learning something new fro. You every day. Thanks Rick.
Nice job 😉 😉
Thanks. Hopefully you were able to stick it out to the end of the video. It was a long one.
I'd like info on how you hung the QuickJacks on the wall.
Yeah, I have a stem wall that protrudes a few inches so the backing wood plate helped them hang straight. Glad you got it all worked out.
Have you tried the new Adam's Graphine Ceramic coating?
I have not. I have used Ethos and a Canadian brand called "Auto Shield Canada". Have you put a graphene coating on a car yet?
RAD GARAGE not yet, only heard you mention the Adams my bad. If I had your garage that’s where I’d be too.
LSD The Gyeon application video is pretty good.
Update on how the coating is holding up?
I am still very happy with this coating. I have been pretty good about maintaining it with Boost, but it took an absolutely beating this winter and it's still kicking. I will polish the remains off in the late-summer and reapply. A single coat of Adam's Ceramic Coating was all it took to protect my car!
Where did you get that mini polisher from?
BL123 0 That’s the Rupes iBrid Nano. For it through my buddy Chris at Carzilla.ca. It isn’t cheap but it’s invaluable to me.
Nice video, what gimball do you use with your IPhone 11 Pro?
I use the DJI OSMO Mobile 2 with my iPhone 11. Couldn't bring myself to fork out for the Pro version. Thanks for watching and for your question.
RAD GARAGE what software do you use for editing? Keep up the amazing content!
Andrew Friberg I use iMovie. I’m old school.
You’ve mentioned that the hood on your Audi has PPF . Were you using the same polish and pad combo on the hood as for the rest of the car ?
Yes, but I didn't go too aggressively with the polisher. I just let the correction polish and wool pad do their thing.
R A D G a r a g e I love your garage
Thanks man. It is an ideal detailing environment for sure.
What type of rack is that holding your summer tires?
Michael Donegan The tire racks I have are from Tirerack.com
Rick, now that's you've had this coat on for months, would you recommend it?
For sure. It has performed just as well as GTechniq and Gyeon. I think I'll re-coat in the Fall, but I have been very happy with the performance of this Adam's Ceramic Coat.
RAD GARAGE Thank you for responding. It’s good to know the other quality options available.
Daphne DPics Many options if you don’t get all caught up in the hype.
RAD GARAGE sometimes that is so hard. One video leads to another that leads to another. lol
do u still wash your car with a wash mitt after applying the coat
javier guzman Yes, I will continue to do 2-bucket washes with Adam’s Wash & Coat SiO2 infused soap.
Check out the video I posted showing me wash it now that it is coated.
I notice no pressure washing? Do u simply like the ol’ school way?
Yes, I do like a soft rinse at times. Especially when I'm not really dealing with filth. Just more soothing to this old soul!
RAD GARAGE sweeet. Let me ask, which model polishers are those?
Frankie Kenneth RUPES LHR75E, LHR15 MK II and the iBrid Nano. Might add a rotary to the collection at some point for the heavier jobs.
RAD GARAGE I’m so jelly. :)
RAD GARAGE those are like Ferrari’s I bet. How do the Adams Swirl Killers do in comparison or contrast? I’m a recent addition to the Audi family (via my 2018 Q5 PP) and I’m stoked to have found your channel.
5:45 - this is the problem of the cotings you will never be sure did you remove it even after polishing. So I prefer classic - WAX'es :)
What type of spray wax you recommend?
Efren Aguilera I like the Adam’s Spray Wax the best. Easy on, easy off.
Thanks also what kind of hose and gun do you use because it looks like great quality. Thanks
Efren Aguilera The retractable hose is by McNaught and I’m not sure what gun you mean but I’ll assume you are asking about the foam cannon. It’s the MTM PF22.
Do you like better the Adams aerosol carpet and upholstery or the liquid spray able version?
Hi Efren, sorry this message fell through the cracks. I am quite partial to Adam's foaming cleaner because I feel like it doesn't take as much to penetrate the carpet and it doesn't leave the carpet so wet as compared to the liquid spray. That said, I do use the carpet spray as well, but I prefer the foam.
what foam lance did you use here?
I am using the 20" Mosmatic stainless steel bent wand with the MTM PF22 cannon and the MTM SG-28 Sprayer.
@@RADGarage Great Thanks. Will have to get one ordered :)
Pete Hermann Check out obsessedgarage.com and tell them I sent ya!
@@RADGarage Last question for now.. Do you use a automatic hose reel for your pressure washer in the garage? If so which one?
@@peterhermann7389 Yes, I have a retractable water hose in my garage. It is made by McNaught and it is called the "Retracta". It has been a great hose for the past 8 or 9 years! Feel free to ask as many questions as you want.
Wouldn't the use of adams detail spray as a polish removing aid result in both sides of the hood beading the same. Perhaps try using watered down IPA for removing polish residu. That shouldn't leave a hydrophobic layer.
Adams detail spray is pink in colour, I'd guess Rick was just reusing the bottle with ipa in it
Joe Murphy, I could be wrong but at 11:31 it seems like detail spray to me.
Ur right buddy well spotted, I did not see that, I was talking about 4.36 where the bottle has clear contents, I presumed it was ipa.
Joe Murphy Well, I guess only the man himself will have the best explanation
You missed a spot...... wow great job
frank rizzo I’m sure I missed a few little spots. Thanks for watching! I’m glad this older video still gets some views. I put a lot of work into filming this one.
is that a rental car I see in the driveway?
Ha. No, that's our house cleaner's car. How do you think I have so much time to dedicate to keeping my garage and cars clean? LOL
what product did you use on 4:11
Defiansy I use a detail spray to remove polish sometimes. Other times I use Waterless Wash. I am now using a surface prep. I find it a more effective way of removing polish than with a towel only.
@@RADGarage like carpro eraser or gyeon prep
Defiansy Exactly. Adam’s makes a Coating Prep spray I should be using consistently.
Why are Detailers still using corded tools? Thats so 1990ish
Uncle Fjester I agree. Cords are a pain.
6:04 yes - nothing was removed.

Removing a GEYON coating for an Adams Coating, I just don’t get this one. Quality product replace by low quality product. I don’t think I would be using a wool pad either. I don’t notice any paint measurements during the process.
